    Sheila, I'm glad you stuck to your guns.  CVS tried to reject a coupon I had, they alway told me even if it expires they will honor it.  I had one the was 1 day past but it was for a percentage not $$, I told her no one told me that, so she let it go.

    Hello! It's almost NYE, not that we are going out - DH doesn't like to go out on big holiday/drinking nights and I guess it makes sense :) We are at the cabin - it is 7 degrees right now and we are shrouded in some sort of fog.  Kind of pretty and eeerie at the same time.

    Chris - what happened with the job?  You crack me up with your cooking and family stories.

    Sheila - nice job with Kohls - we have those here as well and I never remember to use my various discounts cause they are sort of out of the way for me.

    Deb - did that link for finding plot maps help?  Hope you are feeling better.

    Sandy - how are you doing with this latest round of chemo?

    Linda - how is your job going?  Is it hard to work when kids are on vaca?

    Only bought GF for tonight

    Lots of colorful fruits and veggies....I'm sooo happy.......Tongue Out

    I'm saying goodbye to the elephant and go back to my healthy eating.....

    AG was .99 and so fresh......Smile

    I think I'm starting to feel normal again......

    No sudden anxiety attacks or bursting in tears...

    Just praying it will last for a while...

    I did say 7, it's now 19 though.  No cutie pie, just DH, DD and her BF.  Definitely feeling the chill.

    Happy New Year everyone. May next year be a better year then this one. Will be alone tonight, but a full house tomorrow. I am glad it's almost over. I know that sounds awful, but all I want is normal again. Have no idea why I think getting rid of the old changes anything.

    Oh we'll, it really doesn't matter what the year is, its what you make out of the year when you think about it.

    Let's just pray for healthy........for us that is what counts. Love you all, and giant hugs to everyone........god help us all.

    Wish they would stop playing Auld along Syne after each commercial. That friggin song always makes me cry............yea, like I need that to make me cry.........I cry at the a hallmark commercials. All I want is normal.

    We really don't do anything on NYE either.  DH is noodleing on his guitar, I'm on the puter, gonna cook a small tenderloin for myself with baked patada, DH wants Tony & Ann's pizza I have one in the freezer it's his fav.

    Ducky I am with you, I cry at hallmark commercials, say that all the time and I hate that son anyway...I have a thing about NYE anyway, if you aren't "with" anyone then what is that point, lol....it is cold here and sorry you are alone, but so am I....well Michael is here but we don't talk, unless he is telling me to stfu....George is over older sons house and they are going out.....Diane 7deg really is there any different b/t that and 19, lol....DEB....cooking you weren't feeling well, take care of yourself.....how cold is it there....it is about 35 here....bitter....SHIELA, nothing wrong with staying home, I don't watch those shows, something must be wrong with me......thank goodness Macy's is calling need to feel productive, and need to get hair dye, this gray is really pissing me off, so will when I get money on Thursday.....GRANNY ....Happy New Years to you also....

    I don't really like the Auld Lang Syne song - never really analyzed it, but it depresses me just the same.  And I've always HATED the Dan Fogelberg Same Old Lang Syne song.

    I'm glad you think my cooking stories are funny - I was hoping you all weren't sick of all my complaining and lamentations.  I try to laugh at myself. 

    I'm going to make beef stew.  I had intended to make it this morning for tonight, but I forgot until it was too late - so I'm making it tonight for lunch tomorrow.

    DD is at her friend's house - sleepover for her friend's bday - she was born on New Year's Day.  DS is playing online games with strangers- Gary's mod - I think - so nothing too violent.  He did get to see his friend yesterday - went sledding and then played a game of Dr Who Monopoly.  He doesn't get to hang out with his friend as much as he'd like.  I hope he can have more friends in college.  Better to have only a few friends than bad friends.  (if that makes sense.)

    Hope everyone enjoys the evening - whether spent with friends or peacefully quiet.  And best wishes for a happy, healthy new year in 2013!

    DH and DS are home with the flu.  So gross!!  I wish they would feel better, but it's only just begun.  :(

    Sorry Linda.  I take it they've got the stomach flu?  I hope you don't get it.  I hope it's the 24 hr kind and they are better tomorrow. 

    I spent the day in the hospital.  My mother is sick. Had a 103.8 temp.  Hadn't even been sick.  She went from acting normal to acting altered between 8 and 10pm last night.  They saw pneumonia in a hard to see place in her lung on a ct scan. Dr says she's septic, but isn't sure it's from the pneumonia. I don't know why they say she is septic - unless it's because she is altered.  They didn't see evidence of a stroke on the ct scan of her brain, but they would have to do an mri to be sure.  But they aren't in a rush to do that - they need to knock down the infection first so they are throwing some heavy duty antibiotics at it.  Dr says it could also be viral.  Will have to wait and see.  (meningitis was ruled out)

    Not a good start to the year.

    Pneumonia and Bronchitis is sweeping the nation......I had the pneumonia shot and still got it...my dr said there are 28 different strains of pneumonia...i must of gotten #29....and the bronchitis is sooo scary...My dr. said once you get it thats another thing that brings your immune system down...Its like layin dorment waiting to rear its ugly head....reminds me of the beast bc....damn what a way to start the new year.....
