Crazy! Worked and was gone the entire weekend so I had a lot of crap to deal with. Well worth it though. I wonder if I'm pregnant..........................HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
You should know...............
-
Hello TOL! We had our first fall storm yesterday and last night - wind, heavy rain l- it's lovely as long as you are at home!
This weekend was really busy - I participated in a grape stomp. OMG that is seriously hard work. Good thing they don't really have to process grapes that way anymore.
Then, are you ready for a shock? I walked fast in a 5K mud run. There were 115 people and I came in 113. But I did finish. Yay!
Ok, need to jump in the shower and get to a meeting.
Hugs to all!
-
Good for you Diane!!! Did you exfoliate after the mud run??
-
Diane...If you any pictures can you email me please?
That grape thing ...was it like that episode in I LOVE LUCY?
Today it was so windy even I was in a danger to fly...........
Hi Linda...
Too lazy to cook or do anything else...shame on me.......
-
HOLY CRAP, just had a 4.5 earthquake
-
Saw my BS, she clinically evaluated me, cellulitis is gone, no biopsy is necessary, she said nothing would show up anyway and then you would have to deal with the healing of that. I agreed. It is what it is, tata will just have to look and feel the way it is because of the radiation compromising the lymphatic system in the breast, it may get better. She wanted to see me in 3 months, I said I will see you after my next mammo, she was ok with that but gave me a lecture on how to take care of my tata to avoid anymore trouble. I said I will be super duper carefull.
-
Deb...it must been scary....Didn't hear anything on TV yet
What a relief...your health is fine...
Time to talk to DH to be super duper careful with those girls
-
Great news Deb....not the earthquake!
-
The thickening skin showed up on mammo and MRI and it may always be that way. So ladies, take care of your radiated tata. Try not to get any bug bites that may crawl in your bra or subconsciously scratch your tata with hands that have been cleaning dirty places or planting in your garden, that may of happened to me. Even after radiation, keep that area moisturized even if you have foobs or no recon done, keep the skin clean, soft and supple. Instructions from my BS, Dr. Kelley Cornell.

Saw the surgeon today. She aspirated 100 cc's last time ,today is was 60 cc's.She wrapped again and said to return in two weeks. She hopes that by the compression and aspiration it will decrease each time to hopefully nothing or very little. Hope she is right.
-
Wow PT- I had no idea seromas could last that long. Hope it keeps getting smaller and finally goes away.
Glad your tata is okay, Deb. Hope it eventually clears up and softens up/thins out for you. As long as there is nothing wrong and it doesn't hurt, right?
Good for you, Diane - doing the 5K - in the mud no less. Must have been so hard to move!
Glad you didn't blow away, Sheila.
Hope you're not pregnant, Linda.

I had a great time with the grandkids, they kept me hopping!
Did some laundry today and got somewhat caught up. Hate unpacking & taking care of 'stuff'. I did buy some Christmas goodies for the little ones. And I went into a TJ Max, love that store! That will be my treat whenever I'm at DD#2's home.
Bought two tops, could have walked out of there with an armload!
Good news, Deb. Wonderful!
(( ptdreamers )) I bet you are so sick & tired of going in to be aspirated.
Diane, a 5K mud run! Good for you!! Congrats! You actually stomped grapes, I remember reading you were going to do that. Do you wear booties on your feet or some sort of shoe?
Had a phone call today to remind me of my Mamm appt Thursday at 10 am. Like I could forget that!
Missed everyone!
-
Good news, Deb. Happy you have some answers.
Got to hand it to you, Diane. We have a big mud run in our neck of the woods and I have never even been tempted to try it.
Had Basque dinner last night because we wanted to try out a restaurant before we take a group of out of town guests there on Friday. I could make my entire meal from their cabbage soup w/salsa and french bread and butter. But I managed to eat all the other courses as well.
-
Yay Deb.
Linda do you want to be preggers, lol?
Diane good for you!!
{{{{{{Shiela}}}}
PT take care of yourself.
Meece, what does that mean Basque

-
Deb - so glad you have been declared free of cellulitis!
Would write more but busy keeping keeping my boob soft and supple
Pics of me stomping (barefoot by the way) and of the run are on my FB page.
-
Meece, Will you take your guest there? Years ago we took our kids to a Basque restaurant and they loved all the dishes. Became a treat to try to duplicate the experience at home.
-

Good Night TOL ♥

Good night friends!!
-
Yes we will take our guests to that restaurant. We have a considerable Basque population and there are several restaurants to choose from. We usually go to the one which is most "famous", but it is in an old, and not so savory, part of town.
Basque is a French style food and the meal is served family style. You usually start with french bread and butter and cabbage soup, which is also served with salsa and pinto beans to add as you like. Salad course is a grean salad usually with an oil and vinegar dressing, onion tomato salad and pickled tongue, then your main dish arrives with a vegetable and french fries and pasta. They use a lot of garlic but it is wonderful. You don't leave hungry.
-
Does it still stand as etiquette that the MOB dictates what "style" dresses the MOB and MOG wear? I mean length-wise?
-
Tough question Meece - some don't observe any of this. When DS got married, I wasn't even sure what color she was wearing, never mind length. I remember discussing this with other friends and it seemed to have gone by the wayside here in super casual Seattle. That said, I haven't seen a lot of MOB or MOG pics with full length dresses recently....
-
I don't know anything about wedding etiquette. I haven't recovered from DD's proms- I hope I don't have to deal with a wedding anytime soon - lol.
Had most of my chemo curls cut off today - finally. Just realized I should have had DD take a picture of the back before it was cut - just for a record of how long it was. Not that it was nice - it was a pain (always getting tangled) and getting pretty ratty, but it was long. 3 yrs pfc - 2 1/2 yrs since I got what had started to come back in (and what had never fallen out) trimmed. Aw - now I'm bummed I didn't take a pic. Oh well.
-
Meece..I'm clueless about the length of the dress....If you have a good relationship you two can talk about it...if not just do how you feel about it...
Chris...Do you have short hair now/
I'm not a happy Sheila right now....I never had this kind of pain after my other tooth pulled.....
So when she asked if I needed a RX i said no......my mouth ..throat..ears everything neck up is in pain
I started getting nervous maybe I'm having a reaction or something..I don't know...I'm little scared...
Should i go to ER or not...I feel very weird.....
