Hope you got to take a walk, Sheila.
I went to the doctor. She said she doesn't think I have a sinus infection. They never do. If my teeth hurt, she would have thought I had an infection. She gave me a Rx for Flonase - which I could use since I have constant congestion. And I got a Rx for Imitrex - though they might have given me that if I had just asked over the phone since I used to take it. So...we'll see if the Flonase and decongestant help. Otherwise, I just have to wait and see if I get better... Could have done that on my own for free...

I fighting off something that is going around work, sneezing a lot and feel run down.

Have a wonderful time this weekend, Linda!
Hope you feel better, Deb.
Hi Vanessa!
I joke that if DS had been born first, he would have been an only child. He's been a handful, but I love him - he's my baby.
Homecoming this weekend. I'd really like to march with the alumni - and with DD on the field in the current awesome band, but I have felt like such crap this week and I can't really play anymore - have no chops and don't think I can learn the music in 2 rehearsals! Even if I can use a flip folder. Though I do remember most of the fight song...AND DS has a competition I don't really want to miss either. Maybe if I left after halftime, I could get to the competition before our HS performs... Too bad the two events will overlap (and I feel like crap) Hey - that rhymes! Well...maybe next year.

Chris Imitrex is a migraine med - is that what your doc thinks you have?
Linda - Can you imagine a baby????
Sheila - Hope you had a nice walk.
I came back up to the cabin, can't stand music below and above me in tiny apt. In a grape crushing contest Saturday and on Sunday I am doing the Big Dirty 5K - guess we run/walk through mud.
-
Sounds like you have a fun weekend ahead, Diane. Glad you have a place to escape to if the music gets too obnoxious.
I'd been meaning to ask for Imitrex for a while. But calling that office can be a pain - I always end up getting voicemail. So I often don't bother calling. But since I've felt so crappy and wanted to try Imitrex again, I made an appointment yesterday figuring if they can't do anything for whatever is making me sick, at least I can address my migraine problem. I get migraines - usually one a month - sometimes two, and sometimes I'm lucky and skip a month once in a while (not lately). I used to take Imitrex, but then I tried Excedrin Migraine and it worked for me - but it isn't working for me anymore - I have to take more than it says to to keep the pain away and then I risk rebound - dragging out the migraine longer. So I'm going to try the Imitrex again. It's cheaper now. $20 for 9 (generic) instead of $120 (brand)....

When DH and I married 7 years ago, someone at our reception asked me if we were going to have a baby. I asked her if we looked crazy! We were just a few years out from empty nest. Thankfully both of us are "fixed" so it would have to be a devine miracle. I had surgery a few years back and they forgot to run a pregnancy test with the pre-admit panel, so they had to postpone my surgery by an hour or so until they could run one. What a waste!
Hope the Imitrex works for you, Chris.
-
Thanks, Meece. It has worked for me in the past. The last time I used it, I got really hot. We were in the car on our way to go camping for vacation - I couldn't blast the a/c enough, I was so hot. I didn't realize until the other day when I read somewhere that that was a potential side effect of the triptan drugs. If it happens again, I probably won't know whether it's the triptan or a hot flash from the tamoxifen.
Now, I'm going to double/triple up my acid reflux meds to see if I can get this acid reflux to go away. And I haven't had any soda since Saturday and I haven't had much chocolate. How am I going to stay away from chocolate?! Other than that I don't know what I should or shouldn't eat to try to get rid of the reflux. Very uncomfortable.

Got a call this morning from the Breast Care Center wanting to change my appointment at a later time for Tuesday. I try to get first thing in the morning or the last appt of the day so I don't have to take too much time off of work. I told them if my MRI is normal just call me on the phone to tell me so I can opt out of the appt. I explained to her that it is a very long drive for me now that I have moved. She understood and said a nurse will call you with the results. A little later on I get a call from the nurse with results of the MRI, there is no cancer but the skin from the cellulitis still show signs of concern so it has to be clinically evaluated, I can't get out of my appt cuz my BS has to clinically evaluate it. She said it is taking too long to heal. May have to do a biopsy. CRAP CRAPPITY CRAP. This has been going on since Memorial Day
