Thinking Out Loud.....

Christ...........they will, I never thought I could be so fortunate as to have such successful children, but God is good. Not that they didn't have the potential, but sometimes you do everything right, pray for the best for them, and it still doesn't happen..............I was one of the lucky ones.......
Just the one son........but he was very successful at one time.......owned his own company......and still does, but his life is in a shambles.............at 40 his wife decided she wanted to be a mother, but did not want what went along with the job..................my son was shocked to say the least..............they got in an argument on xmas night 2009, she called 911 told the cops my son hit her............they came, and my oldest grandson 18 at the time told the police........."my Dad never touched my Mom, I was here the whole time", and they told her to "get your things, find a place to go, cause your "outta here"..........................came back off and on (my son is a moron), and we found out she had been cheating on him. "which we all knew but him"..................and the story goes on and on.................he managed to keep the kids........but along with that came problems............a son into drugs, who has now straightened his life out and is in college, but a daughter who was brilliant, but has gone down the wrong path at 16................a 20 year old in PSU........and a 12 year old, far to grown up for her age....................but life goes on.............he wants no help, and says he is getting a divorce..........heard that before too..............so he was a success like the others, but life took a horrible turn, and he is trying to recoop.........but until she is "gone" out of his life for good...........I don't see that happening.............well guess I bored everyone enough...............hugs to you all.

Sandy is in the hospital. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I am so glad to hear some word of Sandy - hope you get to go home soon - thinking good thoughts for you, Sandy.
Ducky = that's quite a brood, you have been very, very successful. The one son you mention whose life went downhill - trust me, I see the same potential path for my DS. It's so darn scary. I keep hoping her MH will improve and DS's world will get better.
Chabba - happy belated birthday - enjoy your youth
Meece - how many dresses do you have done - you are amazing.
Chris - no matter how overwhelming we can feel as moms sometimes, you will miss them when they are gone. More than you can imagine.
Deb - where are you? We can't have people going missing
-
Thanks for finding out about Sandy. I'm relieved to hear she's getting better.
You never bore us, Ducky. I'm so sorry your son's life is so difficult. I hope your granddaughter can get back on a good path. And that what the 12 yr old has seen just makes her a stronger person. (((((Ducky)))))

Rain.......sad thing is she was a good person, and my son gave to her until it hurt.........I have no idea what happened to her......she came from a not so great family life........almost a Peyton Place setting..............He met her in a club at 2:30 am, and she was 17, so let that be just a hint of her home life..............he was (and still is) handsome, making amazing money in the Trade Show business (union carpenter), driving a brand new Corvette, and his jewelry reeked "money".....................so he looked like a great catch...........she however, came from a disfunctional family, no rules, high school student, I imagine "easy", if you know what I mean............so she hooked onto him immediately...............he of course after hearing her "sad story" probably thought............"I can be the knight in shining armor...........take her out of this hellish life she has, and bring her to a much better place"............................and trust me............it was a "much better place"....................the rest is history.......................engaged, married, 4 kids later....................after 18 years and 40 years old, she decided........................I'm outta here......................his business went down the toilet (although it still is running), his kids along with the business............and guess what.......................if the " bitch" came back tomorrow, he would take her back.........................he already has too many times............and she left each time again....................................oh well............it is all bullshit..........I am so tired hoping and praying........not that they get back together, I don't want that.....................just that he will finally realize "he is chasing his tale, and he needs to get rid of her once and for all................I think he is afraid of being alone............which will not happen.................he has all of us, (which he rejects), and still a young enough man 46........to begin again...........................oh well........
I can only hope for the 2 girls..............thanks for listening.
-
My DIL also came from a crazy dysfunctional family and has no idea what it means to be in a family. He gives her the world and I see her hurt him all the time, though not by cheating, just behavior. He once told me that he wanted to show her that life can be better than what she knew. Instead, she does what she can to damage our family. Ugh. Enough of that.
-
Rain..........horrible isn't it.......at least you take in a stray dog, it is grateful to you.............humans who are like stray dogs...........not a chance...............and I'm not bragging about my family.......hey we all have our disfunctions, and issues.......but when one of ours is in a situation, we always have their back.........loyalty is what it is all about......................family first................
Rain, it took her 19 years before she cheated................

I'm here, busy with inside and outside work. I sent a message also to Sandy's daughter, have not heard anything yet.
-
Went to Newport RI today and hung out. It was so nice! Went tomy favorite Brick ALley Pub for lunch and SHOPPED!!
I heard from another friend of Sandys, explaining what happened. Pneumonia and blood infection, fluid in lungs. Hopefully she is on the mend!

Hope Sandy is doing better...........she is from my neck of the wood....not too close, but we are both in Delaware County..........prayers for her.
Well bought myself an Ipad on Saturday......should be here by Sept.13. My daughter's husband won one at work, and I got hooked while watching the kids.......love the damn thing......however, I also need a better computer...the kids say "Mom the one you have is fine for what you do.....banking, chatting, etc, so why spend money on that when yours works fine........they are probably right....so instead I go buy an Ipad.........hahahahahahhaha...........
Speaking of winning............2 days after my son-in-law, won the Ipad gift certificate worht $800.00, he went online and put his name in for tickets to the big golf thing in Augusta, Georgia........forget what its called, well anyway.......he won 4 tickets..........ready for this........on Friday, at the constructionsite where he is working the trades all throw a determined amount of money into a bucket.....they put their name of the "bill", which on Friday was a $10.00 bill...............didn't he win that too...$410.00 after sharing part of it with the guy who carries the bucket to each trade.........I said "you friggin better be playing the lottery buckoo.........he said "I am, your daughter made me"...................so my son-in -law, his brother, another son-in-law, and my grandson (the golfer, who is his son), will be flying to Augusta, Ga. sometime next spring......so happy for him....he deserves it...he is a great guy.........
Well guess I better get my ass in gear.......have so many appt. to make....avoided them like the plague during the summer......onc., BC surgeon, derm., LE therapist, retina specialist........hate going to the Dr.'s, and hate the $40.00 co-pay even more.............rather be spending my money on "fun things".............lol.......hugs on this gorgeous Monday morning here in Pa.
-
Maybe someone can find out what hospital she is in, I would like to send balloons.
-
Good for you, getting an ipad. Good luck to your SIL playing the lottery - hope his good luck continues.
I'm in the donut hole of my insurance right now - the $1500 we have to pay before ins kicks back in. so I'm avoiding Dr appts too. I should be scheduling my med onc visit - maybe I'll try to put it off 'til January...I have one more 90 day refill on my tamox due in Oct - I'll make it to Jan without an appt... So sad we have to play these games and can't just go to the doctor when we need to because it costs more than if we went at another time...
Hope everyone enjoyed the day. I'm chilly. Winter's coming... But I did get in a run today - during the day! I didn't have to wait until dark for it to be cool enough. Even got a sunburn - in just an hour.
Now I'm trying to help DD memorize the first 36 elements in the periodic table... between her naps - lol. she needs to manage her time better. All this running around, band rehearsals and football games are catching up to her. She's having fun, though. I just hope she doesn't get sick.

She is in a hospital called Crozer. Not sure where!
-
Do you know how long she'll be there?
-
Her daughter thought she was coming home soon, so I don't know!
