Did you run??
-
Yup -and since it was cooler than it has been, I was able to run an extra .5 mile or so of my route instead of walking it. So, I ran about 4 of the 4.3 miles instead of just 3.5. My ankle was complaining, my plantar faciia in my left foot were burning a little, and my hamstring piped up, but I "ran" through it - lol.
-
Run Chris run....good for you
-
Oh frack. FB put me on Timeline. Or I clicked on it by mistake - who knows. I clicked on "Home" and it said I was now switched to timeline. Bugger.
-
Good Morning Ladies.......thanks for your kind words, and I know you all care, that is why I always come back to you.........
I did forget to tell you, while I was having my pity party that my grandson Sean did make the Golf team.......not only did he make it, but out of all the freshman who tried out, he was picked to move straight to Varsity.........I am so happy for him. He is what they call the 10th Man..............that means they carry 9 varsity players.......should one of the 9 not be able to make a game, he is the man to take their place.............so they saw talent in him, that said to them "he is our 10th man"............his good game qualified him to be worthy of Varsity..............
Just wanted you all to know that, since so many of you wished him well.........I know your thoughts and prayers for him helped........thanks.
-
Promise I will share my "down mood" with you all when I can find my big girl panties.........
-
(((ducky)))♥(((TOL)))
good morning...Chris something doesn't look right on your Fb......it's still showing the old version not timeline.....and looks very empty.....I don't know how to describe it.......
-
Good for your grandson Ducky! I hope you are in a better place today.
I will have to check out Chris' FB page. I hate timeline and do not want it! I hate change!
-
Maybe I need to get thicker skin.....................just so tired of life in general.........normally I'm not like this, but its a dark deep hole I have allowed myself to get into this past week, and it scares me............All I ask for is 1 day when I can honestly say..............Wow, I feel great................I know it isn't going to happen, and because of all the bullshit, in my life,..........healthwise, and some family crap..........I just wonder if it is all worth it..............QOL is important, and when that goes.........what is left.................
-
((((((Ducky)))))) We understand, Ducky. We hope we can help you out of the hole.
I have not "published" or whatever the right word is -the timeline - so I think it will look funny until I do. I haven't done the "tour" yet. I did notice that some pictures I thought I had posted so others could see them aren't on the timeline. The prom pix from DD's prom are posted, but not the one from her boyfriend's prom. So that's annoying. If her bf saw my timeline, he would be upset. Guess I'll remove the posts of all those pix and people can just look at my photos to see them if they want to see them. I have only a handful of friends anyway... Stupid timeline
I did notice a box that appeared that said, "Show all stories from 2012." When I click on it, it doesn't do anything. There are dots in the middle between the 2 columns where the other pix are. I can click on a dot and find the pix, but then timeline acts weird. That pic stays stationary while I scroll down and then messes up the pix below it. And sometimes the right column stays stationary while the left column scrolls. Timeline sucks.
As my friend posted, "I do not approve this timeline." (like a political ad.)
Guess I have to do the tour and see how I can change how Timeline decided to organize my stuff. I don't like the two columns - it's cluttered and distracting - if that makes any sense. Hope you don't get forced onto it if you don't want it.
-
Ducky, I hope this week brings you back to your normal cheerful self. As for thicker skin, that can't happen on the damn pills that cause skin thinning in more ways than one.
Well folks, in 4 weeks, I will be without a home in the city. We have a signed purchase and sale agreement so just inspection looming. DH thought we should go to market and see if we could get more but we reminded him that this is a cash offer and that doesn't often happen in this economy. When he cotinued to whine, I told him he would have to come home and pick up the dog to drive around for each and every appointment. My big old golden can hardly get in the car and he hates it. That sold him
Happy Sunday all - off to look at tiny houses and glad to be doing so.
-
Congrats, Diane. Hope you find the perfect smaller house.
(((((Ducky)))))
Oh- and congrats to your grandson- that's awesome that he is 10th man!
-
i think FB is going to force us to have the timeeline. i don't like it.
-
Congrats Diane!
I hope you have many happy days, Ducky. I hate this time of year and it depresses me. I am so worn out from the kids and their friends, I cannot wait for school to start so I can be happy again. I love my boys and their friends but they are so hyper, its hard!I still don't ave timeline and when I look at Chris' page, I still see the old format. What do you use, PT? Have you found any of us on FB?
-
I have until the 25th to change the timeline the way I want it before people see it. Guess I'd better take "the tour" and find out how it works...
Hope you are starting to feel better, Ducky.
((((((TOL))))))
-
So what happens if you don't choose the way you want it? Isn't there any way to revert back to the old FB???
-
I wasn't given a choice...mine was changed about 5 months ago.......
Diane...your prayers have been answered.....Tiny houses LOL
emptied the closets again.....if i keep doing this i will have nothing left......
If i don't use it goes
-
Can you teach my DD how to do that, Sheila? I need FEMA to come in here and declare her room a disaster.
Once you have timeline, you're stuck. There is no going back... If you don't do anything to your timeline, they will just put it out there as it is. So they give you a week to change the security on stuff if you want to. So get ready. It's coming...
DD is at band preseason this week. Last night she texted me a recording of the freshmen (rest of the band starts Monday) and some leaders singing the alma mater - they do that after performances. Then she went on to say that they played trumpet, trumpet, saxophone (duck, duck, goose) lol. Welcome to college, she said. lol I'm glad she's having a good time.
-
chris...when the girls were living home it was a disaster...again we all lived in a 1 bedroom apartment
after they moved out still half of their stuff remained here.....finally Christine said to me "MOM give everything away"
so whatever clothes or other few things left it's going...DD#1 only has her cookbooks here when i say books i mean at least 5 full boxes she doesn't have room where she lives.....
I'm not that much of clean windows and everything has to be spotless person.... but clatter drives me nuts.....always did.....
i gladly help you after they move out.......
-
Clutter drives me nuts too. I've gotten to the point where everything is clutter. I can feel the stress drain out of me when an area gets cleaned out and there is open space. Doesn't last long though.
-
How is Sandy? Now that my daughter is packed up for her junior year of college, I need to take care of clutter. I hate the amount of time I waste trying to find something. Less is definitely more. More time to enjoy what I want to do!
-
Hi penny..Hi all
I agree less is more....i have so many wine glasses and type of glasses that i don't use....DD's accumulated over the years....they are collecting dust...
today i was thinking take everything out and wash them...you know that funny sticky way they get.....
i wish i could have a garage sale or something.....
Well another nice day maybe i should go back to my walking.......
(((♥Sandy♥)))
-
You should go for a nice walk, Sheila. Enjoy the nice day. DD texted me saying she was hot (at band practice). I'm chilly and my feet are freezing inside. Winter is around the corner. As much as I don't like feeling like I'm going to burst into flames, I really hate being cold... I need a new thermostat for my body.
(((((Sandy)))))
-
Sandy, what a lovely idea, I want a thermostate too!
-
I'll take a thermostat too. It just needs to be COLD!
I have a summer cold and feel like crap! Better now than next week when I go on vacation.
-
Here is very comfy except i went out for a walk and the sun made me hot
NO THIS IS NOT A COMPLAIN
I bought this salmon-avocado sushi OMG i inhaled them they were so good
My thermostat should be 80 and very low humidity.......
lalalalalalalalala
-
Hope you feel better fast and are totally better before vaca!
80 and low humidity sounds about right.
-
Thanks! I need mine set to 62 and no humidity. I am HOT 24 hours a day!
-
I am always hot too! Even if I get sick, I am hot - dont even know what chills mean anymore. Lovely day here, wish I wasn't racing around looking at housing options. I am glad I sold, I just hate this part
Linda - didn't you just go on vacation?
Sheila - yum on the sushi.
