Went to a few yard sales, had my hair done, did yard work and planted some flowers that I bought at the garden center. My boss at work and two other friends took me out in October for my 60th bday and gave me a gift card for a garden center just down the street from me. I bought parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme, going to plant it in a strawberry urn I bought at a yards sale. I have to more nails, had to cut them down bcuz of the digging in the dirt. LOL
Oh yes, I bought a cute birdbath also.

Have fun Sandy!

Trying to catch up - are we sharing our local time here?
If so, 7:57.
@Deb - how very Simon and Garfunkel of you
-
I can't believe it's almost May.
Went for a "run" today. Did the elliptical first because I thought I'd be too cold running. But then I decided once I was sweating from the elliptical, maybe I'd be warm enough to run. So I did. Now my knees are bugging me. Didn't bother me when I was running. Sucks to get old.
And I was bad and ate some fudge sticks cookies. How is my running, uh, I mean "running," going to help me lose weight if I keep stuffing my face?!
Sounds so nice to meet up with ladies from BCO at the conference, Sandy.
Glad you enjoyed working on your garden, today, Deb.
Hope your computer is behaving better, Sheila.
((((((TOL))))))

I was wondering when you had time to go to Scarborogh Fair, Deb!
Sheila, don't let the puter get the upperhand!
We went to So Cal yesterday and got stopped on the freeway 3 times for accidents. A usual 3 hour trip took 4 1/2 hours. Not a relaxing day, but a good visit when we finally did get there.

It was yummy. We have nothing in this little town, no retuarants, stores or supermarkets. A new place opened up a town over and delivers to my town. It's the only delivery we've got!

Hi Blondie.........hope your doing ok...........was talking about you today ....the NY girls sheila, granny, annette, and others want me to go to NY next week for the day...I feel so bad I can't make it.......concerned about making the trip alone....................most of the girls are from the vicinity of GCS, and Penn Station..........for me it is a 2 hour train, or bus ride, not counting the trip from here to where i have to catch the bus or train................I am so disappoined.........I said if you were going, we could have gone together.........maybe the next time..........hugs.

Good Afternoon 12:09...................however have been up since 7am.......drinking coffee and doing crossword puzzles..................
Ok, now hear this.......................last night I took the bag out of the trash can, and put it back under the sink, empty , no bag............................for a couple mornings I had seen a few "mouse turds", under the sink...................I thought "little bastard", and had to go get some poison.........well I didn't do it immediately, but thought...........oh well you go back out every morning, so I will just get it tomorrow................many things over the weekend.......baseball, track, dinner at my daughter's.....so that was more important then "Mickey".....................well this morning I opened the dorr under the sink, and saw a couple turds.......................thought................you little bastard, your gonna suffer tonight, cause today I got for the poison.....................pulled out the empty trash can to put a bag in, and the F/N mouse was in the trash can.........................................well let me just say this........................................I DO BELIEVE MY CARDIOLOGIST WAS WRONG WHEN HE SAID I HAD A HEART ATTACK BACK IN 2007, cause if this little bastard didn't give me one this m[orning, my heart is perfectly sound.
I tossed the can back into the closet under the sink, in hopes the son of a bitch would go out the way he came in..........................called my son, and said "are you headed this way today"..................he said "yea why", I said "I have a friggin mouse under the sink, and I'm not sure if the bastard left yet............................he was laughing so hard he couldn't control himself...............he will be here sometime today.,.................if not, the cabinet under my sink, is going to be the black hole, which I will never enter again.................I swear...............my life is like a "bad novel"..................
Not sure if he is still in the trash can, cause it is 1/2 way over, so maybe he did manage to get out...........but guess who isn't going to check..............................
-
I have a hard enough time with spiders - I don't think I could deal with mice. You need a good cat. (I specify good - because some won't bother with the mice.)
-
Chrisct.....I think I hate cats more then mice....................hahahahha..........my son came over, and took the trash can out of the cabinet............and I was right.....it was a mouse, however when I threw the can back into the cabinet and it fell on its side, he had an escape route.................well I will get that little sucker tonight...............he is as good as dead..................................God I hate mice..............my son went outside, and found the spot where he thinks he got in, and is going to fix it tomorrow, along with putting up a new storm door, and painting the door on my newly sided shed...............he is such a fantastic help...........he literally built this house from top to bottom 1 year ago in December 2011...........him, all the men who work for his company, and my son-in-law, and grandaughters husband.........they are all in the trades, and this house is gorgeous.............downsized to 1 floor.....it is an open floor plan, and backs up to a historic area of this town.................really nice, and big, just all on 1 floor.......now, my job tonight is to "find Mickey and sent him packing"...............
-
So good to have you back Ducky!! What a laugh I had!! Sorry about Mickey!
-
Your house sounds nice. Hope your son can mouse-proof it for you! I need your family to come fix this house!
