Blondie...............your kids have no idea what their missing...................your a great lady, and they need someone to tell them that..........................People say ..........oh their kids, oh they will appreciate you when they have their own kids..........................to that I say "bullshit".................once we stop making excuses for kids, maybe that is when they will learn to "really" appreciate us.......................I'm grateful for what I have, but we have our days.
Also girlfriend, mine are 43-54, so by now they have learned I'm not the "enemy"...............your a great Mom...................they just have to find it out...................hugs
-
Sandy, mine dont want to do things with me either. Makes me sad but I am chaulking it up to the teenage years.
Good Morning, please pass the M&Ms!
-
Makratz.............guess what I have..............one of my daughters made me a box of "homemade dark chocolate covered nuts" as part of my birthday present..................oh my God they are to die for...............I'd share if you were closer............................but I'll make sure I eat a couple for you today...............I'll say "OK, THIS ONES FOR MAKRATZ.................................yum................

Good Morning
I feel so energetic today. It's such a good feeling I wish it stayed with me forever.
It's little cool and windy.....i want to throw myself on the streets and walk to the next town........
I hope you both are enjoying your sweets..........
♥
-
It's very cool and very windy. Brrrr. I want it to be 75 with a small breeze.
Hope you enjoy your energy today, Sheila.
You can eat some of those chocolate covered nuts for me too!
Trying to figure out what to do with myself. So many things I should be doing...
-
Thanks Ducky! Enjoy my chocolate covered nuts!
Very windy here too. DH got home from Vegas this morning and is sleeping. He took the red eye home, can't sleep on the plane, and had an infant in the seat behind him. He was not very happy!
-
Macy's friend & family 25% off on certain department...but even the ones they never accept the coupon they are with this special sale.
Why am I writing...I don't know I just got excited......i can't spend any money now.
Linda...Having a crying baby in the plane is difficult...I hope my 11 hour flight will be quiet.
I hope Kurt feels better soon........
-
Very windy in my neck of the woods too..................and my grandaughter has a baseball game tonight which I can't miss, if I have to wear long underwear, a parka, ear muffs, and gloves........I missed her first game since it was my birthday, and I was asked to dinner.................so tonight is a must............................Freeze my ass off or not.......I must be there................once that sun goes down it is going to be a "bear".
Plus her other Nannie is going, and I swear the little shit really likes her more...............no, no, no, don't tell me I'm imagining it.........when that woman walks in the room, its like the "second coming of Christ"......................so when she sees her tonight, I won't even be a 2nd thought....................unless she gets the "evil eye" from my daughter, and then she will be forced to act like she is glad to see me...........................She is adorable, love her to death, but she is a pistol.......................
Now on the other hand, my grandson (same mother).....................loves me to death..............so 1 out of 2 ain't bad....................brrrrrr, I'm cold already.
-
I wore snow pants to a band halftime show, uh, I mean football game, once. I have no tolerance for the cold. I have no tolerance for the heat either. I don't have much tolerance for anything anymore. Except sugar, apparently. Just finished off what was left in a container of frosting that was in the fridge... I am so bad.
-
ducky...I don't know how you find this phrases like <Second coming of Christ> I was LOL so hard and I needed one. hahahahahahahahaha
i mentioned it before my Internet is giving me problems by not able to connect....and when he is all ready by chance it connects.....
Well I couldn't take it anymore....I called Cablevision and finally I found the right department after pressing and talking to the phone at least 30 times...hoping I would get a live person right/ WRONG.
This nice taped voice came on...OK I can't complaint because the instructions and questions were very clear and gave me plenty of time to check things.................then she asked me to disconnect the router what...what is that I froze......finally I pretended I did it .....
She asked me to connect and try the Internet again...i pretended I did.......for some unknown reason Internet is back and working.
Googled Router whatever it is I don't have anything that looks like it........
So I'm here all excited and couldn't even remembered the the name of this sight...........
Thank You for listening.
Once it's working it's fine....we'll see what tomorrow morning brings
-
LOL, good for you Sheila!
-
Don't even get me started on routers...DH is a computer geek so he takes care of all that stuff leaving me in the dark when things don't work. Drives me crazy. I threaten to call Geek Squad to come fix things when they don't work and he's not here. I don't think he likes that. Well, I don't like it when things stop working and I don't know how to fix it. Last Sunday we lost internet. Then I disconnected the modem and the router and the other thing I don't even know what it is - it's new - and then reconnected them. DD could then connect with her ipod and her computer and I couldn't with the one I use. wth? I think this has something to do with it, but I don't know for sure, but we had a thunderstorm once and lost internet and have had problems connecting in this one room ever since. Problem apparently fixed itself because DH said he didn't do anything. Just a matter of time before it happens again... Hope it's not urgent that I look something up or print something out when it does...
Hope it's all fixed and doesn't crap out on you again. Stupid technology.
-
chris...i know the modem WTH is the router?
-
Isn't the router the things with the pretty lights on them? lol! Whenever I have a problem and DH or sons are around, I unplug it, count to 10, plug it back in, and viola! It's fixed! I feel so computer savvy when I do that!
-
I thought that was the modem.....
Can you post a picture of that pretty lights thing/
I do disconnect 10 cesonds but it's the Power plug....I'm getting more confused.
Is Router a gadget? I only have a modem from cable company that connects the phone ant the computer..
I have desk top also.
-
Dh just told me that years ago the router was separate from the modem. Today, they are one unit. Who knew??
-
Sheila, when we finally live together in paradise, I'm bring Dh with me. (I couldn't live without him anyway!). He will be our cmputer guy!
-
We still have separate ones. Routers are for networking. Like our computers can connect to the printer wirelessly and stuff like that. I think. I don't know how it all works. I'll have to ask DH to 'splain it to me.
-
I think I need to reboot this machine. I submitted my post and got a message that it was out of memory at line 1. What the?
-
Thanks Linda....I dont have anything with 2 antennas on each side
My modem looks like this with no hanging antennas just a small box that has light green lights total of 6 one light flashes that's the phone light.
-
This is what I have......nothing else......and Cable company calls it a MODEM.
-
I was looking for some pics of DD from, it turns out, 10 yrs ago. Her boyfriend wants to play basketball with her. He has a height advantage, so I'm sure he'll kick her you-know-what even if she thinks she's good (another thing she never practiced.) For fun, I created an album on FB of pics from when DD went to a clinic with some players from UConn. I told him it was only fair to warn him that she's received instruction from some of the best. lol It was funny seeing pics of 8 yr old DD next to players who are 6'5" and 6'7"!
In looking for those old pics, I saw some pics of me from 10 yrs ago. I had some nice curls from a perm - not all perms end up with nice curls. I hope if I ever get a perm again, that the curls can look like that. I'm afraid to get one though - my hair is thinning - I'm afraid it would all fall out if I got a perm. I still have 3" of chemo curls and the rest is a slight wave. I was looking at those curls earlier thinking - that was an expensive perm...
-
I had to have the back of my hair "naturally" straightened because it was curly/wavy and the rest wasn't. Thankfully, it worked.
A modem connects one computer to the internet and a modem connects/networks several wirelessly. I think that is the difference.
I think I am ready to come back if it's ok with all of you......?
-
Heading off to sleep, but wanted to say - Welcome back, Diane! We missed you.
-
Welcome back Diane!! We missed you. Hope your doing well and Shelby is too!
-
Whew! I didn't realize it had been a week since I was here, and you gals have been prolific! Tried to catch up. Hope everyone is well. Welcome back, Diane.
-
Diane....I'm so happy that you came back. ♥
Meece.....I miss you too my friend......♥
good Morning....
First complaint of the morning......My computer doesn't want to be my friend anymore
The same problems...plug...unplug....left the room for few minutes I tried again...now it's working.
It's time to find myself..........
(((♥TOL♥)))
-
Did you turn the computer off before you unplugged and plugged back in the modem? That might make a difference. They told me to turn off the computers before unplugging the modem when I called about a problem a while back.
