Thinking Out Loud.....

Shiela, I'm here, still nursing my black and blue ass, and cooking up a storm for xmas eve.............took a break so I could come and see what my favorite ladies were up too......................
Meece.......................or should I say "cat-lady.................hysterical...................however, don't throw away or retire that sweater...............................those things are the rage every xmas, and some places, even work spots, and bars, are having "ugly xmas sweater contests".............................this was new to me this year, via my grandaughter who called and asked if I had one..............Was she trying to tell me something.....................haha...........................anyway, they are selling on Ebay for as much as $100.00, and more, so don't toss it................................even if you put the darm thing on Craig's list with a picture.....................someone will buy it, at least for next year...........................
Ok, ladies, back to the kitchen................just steamed 4lb of shrimp.........made "olive salad", onion dip, cocktail sauce, and garlic green beans with crushed tomatoes, the rest of the menu, is Roast beef, Roast Pork, mac and cheese, potato salad, pepperoni and cheese platter, chix filet,. antipasto, corned beef, cole slaw, oh God I'm getting ill just talking about it..........................still have to attempt my apple butter cookies............................really don't feel like baking anymore, but the kids will come over tomorrow night and say "what Mom, no apple butter cookies this year...........................so back in I go....................will drop by a little later.................hugs..........

I need a nap just reading about what you're cooking!
I'm trying to get my kids to clean the house. Wish me luck. I don't hear any vacuums humming.
Sorry your luggage is too small, Sheila.
Cat lady - too funny. Now you've got me wondering if my old Christmas sweaters are ugly or not. I liked them. Maybe I have no taste...

Just got back from a boat trip on Nick's boat, it is too cool to swim all though the water is so beautiful. Beautiful fish also, we went out to the Vixon which is a ship wreck a few miles out and through bread overboard and these huge white fish came up and out of the water to eat it. We stopped at an Island that Nick's cousin owns and tied up the boat to have lunch it was sooo nice and serene. I posted the spiney lobster tail I had on FB at the Lobster Pot in Hamilton. It is alot milder than Maine lobster. But still delish.
Hugs to all!!
did ya see my drawing in the sand on Horseshoe Bay!
-
Sounds awesome Deb!! Enjoy!
Ducky, I did the same thing today. It's martini time now. A cellar full of boys and I am now making chicken nuggets for them.
Ugly Christmas sweaters are all the rage!!

So I ate. the house smells all type of foods the windows were open but it's cold outside. Well nothing else to report. I might even go to bed early tonight like midnight..............

Blondie.........that is so unlike him, unless it is the holiday, and he didn't work today, but at least he should have called.....................it does surprise me.........he has always been very responsive..
-
I am so beat..............just finished putting the powdered sugar on the apple butter loafs for my kids, and will watch the news.......left the cookie sheets in the sink....they can be done tomorrow.........will be up at 7, and to the store again for the last minute food things........Tomorrow will be a long day, into night..................at least35 people, and it is all my own family....yep, all mine, not one outsider...and to think it all started with my 6 children, and just went on from there.
I will rest xmas day...............no cooking for me.....................

GOOD NIGHT
-
I am so happy to be home for Christmas - it feels warmer and more comfortable than I thought was possible. I just want to be here and enjoy my home, my family, Christmas, Hannukah, and the brand new Shelby.
Warm wishes to each and everyone of you - you mean so much to me. I appreciate the support you have offered during my diagnosis, my treatment, my DIL issues, the birth of my first grandchild, the lawsuit, the displacement and finally now, the move home. I am very lucky indeed. Thank you to all my BC sisters.
Love,
Diane
-
Diane, so glad you are home! Enjoy!!

So glad you are home for Christmas, Diane. Hope every last second of it is wonderful!
I hope the washer fixing guy shows up first thing after the holiday and fixes it right away, Sandy. Wish I could do your laundry for you.
Don't forget to eat today, Sheila! You need your energy to play with your little angel. Sounds so sweet. Hope RPOC has mellowed.
(((((((TOL))))))))

And nothing is easy - DIL arrived and said my home was toxic and she couldn't stay and poison her daughter. DS explained that we had used no VOC paint and that there was no toxicity. She and baby are upstairs while rest of us are downstairs feeling awkward.
-
I am so sorry, the drama never ends does it, what does VOC mean. Toxic, are you kidding me, well unfortunately you see how things are going to be...Try to enjoy yourself...Question, if you go downstairs doesn't your clothing have the toxicity on it? Does she realize that when she takes that child out that...oh why bother you know where I am going...again sorry, try to have a happy holiday anyway..
Linda have a good holiday!!!
Shiela.....are you home?
Chris, again take care of yourself....
Ducky you are the best we will have to meet and take pix and put it on here....have a wonderful holiday!!
