OMG Linda how beautiful (and how do you get pix to post I can't).....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECKA!!!
Chris so happy ou got your leg back and are able to get a shower, whew could smell your dirty leg from here..
Ducky....love the soup story and I know you realize how lucky you are.....it is usually the girls who are like that with their mother.....bet your son knows how lucky he was that you are his mother.....
Seyla....hey there....
Well just spent the last couple of days at the shore with my cousin, didn't go to the beach, wanted to but didn't and was 5 minutes from it......
HAPPY ALMOST NEW YEARS EVE? What are you all doing....me thinking about going to the movies tomorrow night!!
-
I usually can't either! I wish I had a before photo, the bath was the size of a postage stamp!
Glad you had time by the shore. You should have gone to the beach! I just told my DH that we need to have a fire on the patio tomorrow night. How often can you do that on New Years in Boston? It's been so mild and NO SNOW!!! I will have a house full of boys sooooooo the vodka will be flowing....for me, not the boys! What are you doing?
-
Beautiful.....Is that your scale in the garbage/ or I'm having an elderly moment.......
sandy...2 days away that's priceless.
I decided to stay home this year and watch the ball. I enjoy it. I got pistachio nuts, GF, sam.
My other choice was to go out to dinner but I don't feel like going out.
It was a productive day. I accomplished a lot.......
Linda you have to be careful when you are in that sexy tub if you know what I mean
YES you can use all the DIRTY MINDS possible

-
Good eye Sheila! I took the scale off the floor and put it in the wicker basket so you wouldn't see my mess! LOL! Didn't work!
With a house full of boys, yes I do have to be careful. Years ago I was in it and my son, then about 8 came in with is friend.....WTF???? Do you need to bring your friends in to see your Mom bathing??
I like your plan Sheila. See you on the puter tomorrow night!
Love ya all!
-
I didn't mean just you alone in that tub...........

Good Night friends
♥
-

Oh! And I am the one with the DM??? Yes, we put a lock on the door now;)
Good night!

Hello TOL friends - it's been a crazy week. I have people inside and outside my house all the time. I woke up yesterday to a man singing in Spanish and he had a lovely voice. Problem was that it was outside my bedroom window at 6:45 a.m. and they can't legally work before 8. They have to cut open the tops of each of my window frames to create a drainage path.
My DIL did NOT like her Christmas presents, except the tea collection. The custom silver bracelet I had made with the word "mother" in multiple languages was not desirable because it was too small, she said. She weighs about 90 lbs and claimed she couldn't get it on. My son, my daughter, and I could all get it on, but she said she coulldn't (none of us saw her do this). She told me to just "keep it". $300 later. I also got her Kate Spade mittens and a new iphone case which were just "ok" but not what she would have chosen.
Anyway, apparently our home isn't poisonous because after what my son described as a level 9 Fukishima nuclear plant day with the baby, they have asked if they could come here tomorrow and we watch the little pteradactyl and they will cook a bunch of meals to have on hand. After, of course, I go buy all the ingredients no doubt. I just really, really want to tell her that Indian food, Mexican food and beer are not the diet she should be enjoying but she says the baby likes spicy food. Ummmm. ok, sure.
Linda - I love black and white bathrooms and you did a great job but, like Sheila, I immediately notice the effing scale. Make it go away - you are gorgeous and not in need of daily evaluation.
Sheila - I hope your day with the little angel was wonderful - what did you do? I hope the removal of the R was deserved.
Deb - your pictures at the time of your daughter's birth were precious - you look just like, well, you! Glad you had a wonderful trip.
Chris - I hope power, trees, and all those kinds of damn problems have gone away.
Ducky - I am so happy you have such a wonderful family and lovely memories.
Sandy - you have an uncanny ability to articulate family issues. I hope you are feeling well!
Ok, ladies, I am going to take a bubble bath! Happy New Year!
-
Oh Diane.....i don't think that was very polite for your DIL to say all these things to your face.
Yes i did enjoy my angel....We had pepperoni pizza and her mother picked her up around 3.
Yes..He deserved it...DD's BF is Peruvian and he has no issues with him. So here goes the letter R.
Shelby is beautiful i love her expressions...she will have a sense of humor like her grandma.
I missed talking to you....after everything is done we chat one day.
hugs
-
Diane, you are making me laugh just like ducky! You have the patience of a saint! You are a good person!
Bath is cobalt blue and white but looks black in the pic.
Happy New Years Eve from the east coast. I gotta crash now............so tired!
-
Are you crashing in your new tub/
OK this time it's really GOOD NIGHT.
Love and more love to all my friends on TOL ♥

-
LOL - the scale in the trash. I'm still laughing. I didn't even notice it - but don't all scales belong in the trash? Beautiful bathroom. Nice and shiny new. Enjoy the tub - not alone - and sans children. Enjoy the vodka tonight - that's the one good thing about being host. Are they sleeping over too?
OMG Diane - "just keep it?!" Would her parents be horrified to know that that is what she did? In the future, I would just give her cash - then all she could complain about is that it is cash and how much- at least the cash would end up being used. Sorry she is so unappreciative (and other choice words I won't post.) At least you get to be with the baby. Gotta focus on the positive.
Glad you got to relax at the shore for a few days, Sandy. Now if we could just get the washer guy to fix your washer...
The soup story was so sweet, Ducky.
Enjoy the ball drop and your yummy snacks tonight, Sheila.
DD is inviting friends over tonight. Trying to figure out what to do for food - will probably get pizza - assuming the pizza places are open. Or we might try to make pizza. Sounds like too much work. We're lazy.
(((((((TOL))))))))
-
Chris...i don't think food places will be closed tonight. That's the night people are celebrating and eating. Give them a call and ask.
i'll be back later.......
-
Nice bathroom pictures, my bathroom still looks like it did when my parents did it over.
The only way I know how to post pics here without counting on photobucket is when I post a pic on FB, then right click on the photo select copy as URL and do the little tree thingy in the post a reply area.
-
I will be with Andre tonight
-
Pizza place is open 'til 10. Not even sure who will be coming over. One girlfriend will be here for the duration. One guy came at 4 just to get out of going to church and then will be leaving around 6:30 ?! One guy will be coming around 5 or so and another at 7. Don't know if anyone else is coming. DD was running the idea of having everyone over tonight at the b-day party the other night - she sent out text msgs to everyone this morning and then the bday girl texts back that she's having people over her house. DD's friends are jerks. I'm glad she'll be graduating this year - hopefully she'll make better friends at college. I won't hold my breath though.
Not sure if I should drink anything. First, I'm beat from cleaning the house. Second, the girlfriend who is over will need a ride home. H could bring her since he won't be drinking, but he has a cold and would probably rather go to sleep. Oh well...
Hope the boys behave for you tonight, Linda.
Enjoy the Andre or vodka or whatever celebratory beverages you will be imbibing tonight!
-
My grandson , 6 yrs old had picked one puppy from the street , feeding him milk and hiding it in our flat for 4 hours. We came to know about it and directed him to release the Puppy to be with mother safey. When he took the puppy out of the room, the poor animal ran down the stairs from the 4th floor of the apartment but he fell down and died at spot. We felt so bad for the poor puppy as it was beyond our capacity to stop him running. My grandson refused to take food as he thinks that the poor puppy died because of his negligence. The whole day passed like that without doing any arrangement to bid adieu to 2011 to Welcome 2012.
-
So sorry to hear about the puppy and your grandson. That is just so sad. Of course it is not his fault, these things happen. Hoping the New Year starts off better for him!
Kids willbe here, sleeping over. DS is at GF's son and has to be home by 1. I am so mean! I would not let him sleep over his GF's house. No way!!
I'm having a couple friends over tonight. They will keep me sane. We laughed that we will never make it till Midnight. They can go home whenever, but I still need to stay up and wait for jr.!
Happy New Years to all. Enjoy Andre!
-
raj~I'm so sorry also, that is not his fault, HUGS.
Diane~I just don't understand her, she is a very ungrateful person. Your son should speak to her, it is obvious that this is hurting you deeply.
-
OOH Raj...So sorry for the puppy and your GS.
Maybe you should have a Memorial or something to make him little better.
i'm glad you stopped by hugs
-
Linda...What did you mean he is at GF's son...does she have a kid.
Sorry for my senior moment.
And you are the mother but if they decide (
) you know what it can be done before 1AM.OK I should mind my own business

chris... can't the GF sleep over so you can have some celebration........
-
-
-
oops kinda big
-
Peed my pants when I saw the scale in the trash bucket........................that is where all scales belong.................if we didn't own them maybe we wouldn't be so hung up about our weight................still laughing.............I thought.......................Is that the scale in the trash...........priceless..................hahaha
-
Raj - so sorry about the puppy. I hope your grandson can accept that it wasn't his fault.
Hope everyone is enjoying the evening. Lada Gaga is supposed to perform before the ball drops. Hope I catch her performance.
