Ok, Sheila................went to Longwood Gardens tonight with my 2 daughters, and 2 son-in laws, and 2 grandchildren.............I figured it was going to be cold, so I put on more friggin clothes then the woman on the commercial who walks down the steps stripping her clothes off which is about 5 sets.
I had on 1 tee shir, 1 turtleneck, 1 sweatshirt with a hood, 2 pairs of pants, and a jacket with an inner lining, plus gloves, a scarf and earmuffs...............................when I was getting out of the car, I was putting on the "friggin macanaw coat, that I have never worn................was fighting putting my arms into the sleeves, spun around trying to grab the sleeve, and tripped over my grandson's foot, and went down on my ass.................................ok, normal kids would run to the aid of their poor Mother, even though they were 1/2 block ahead of me.............................no the "assholes", came walking back, hysterical laughing, and my one daughter shouted................JESUS CHRIST, WE HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED YET, AND SHE ALREADY FELL.....................I was laughing so hard, I could not get up off the ground, and my poor grandson was trying to pull me up...............now that was not going to happen..................It would take a friggin "winch" to get this ass off the ground..............plus laughing was not helping...............
Longwood Gardens is 1,000's of trees all lit up, and xmas flowers all over the place..................I was not impressed, but of course I wanted to go..........better then sitting home, even though the kids said "Mom it might be hard for you.....its a lot of walking"................................bettter yet, not only was I weighed down by the frigging coat, and all the other shit .................piece by piece I kept taking if all off, until I finally was walking around with just the "liner" of the stupid jacket.
I probably will not be able to get out of bed tomorrow. It never hurts when you fall, but the next day you wonder who beat the shit out of you when you weren't looking.......
I think my kids have had it with me.............I am so friggin clumsy it isn't funny.................oh well, at least I can say I saw Longwood Gardens....................................
-
oh, ducky: thanks for all the belly laughs tonite.. we went to see lights tonight, also, but we stayed in the car, and drove thru.. i can't get down from their damm suv anymore>>hahaha
-
Ducky, you make me laugh. You were the one who taught your kids to laugh....and they did! I hope you aren't too sore today. Maybe a warm bath will help.
HI 3jays!
Good Morning all! Deb is in Bermuda and I am jealous!
-
Ok, "how do I feel this morning, you ask....................well I have a bruise on my ass the size of a salad plate.............left knee feels great...........well at least till I try to put weight on it................and my spine feels like someone decided to p lay the xylephone on it with a hammer.......................and to boot neither of my daughters has called today to see how I'm feeling..................................their probably afraid to since they figure they're going to get a lecture on................."HOW FAST YOU SHOULD RUN TO YOUR MOTHER WHEN SHE FALLS'".................................
Well they have to see and talk to me sometime, cause we are going to my grandaughter's xmas pageant today, and we're going together.............................unless they decide to go without me, and say "Oh MOm, I didn't know you wanted to go"................................Nah, they know better then to pull that stunt..................guess their just going to have to deal with me again today........................hahahahahaha
-
Decided to delete my rant.
-
Oops - I took so long typing my rant, I didn't see your update. Sorry you are so sore. Hope they don't try to pull the "didn't know you wanted to go" stunt. Some people prefer to pretend everything is fine until they find out otherwise rather than find out what the situation actually is. I'm married to one of those. Stick your head in the sand and pretend everything is fine.
I definitely think they need the lecture, though. Maybe you should show them the bruise too - ha ha ha. Warn them that next time, if they don't want you to moon them to show them your injuries, they should come to your aid immediately...
-
Deb is already in Bermuda .
So 3 fallings in one day on the same thread hmmm I don't like it.
Ducky your description of everything is priceless hahahahahahahahahaha
chris.....It's time for a vacation ALONE.

Ok, went to my grandaughter's pageant...................the same 2 daughters were there, as was my 22 year old grandaughter (daughter of one of the above daughter's)................adorable, love this kid....................well she looked at me when she first saw me and could not contain herself........she burst out laughing, and said "Nan", "you always know how to put a little more excitement in every event"...............I said "oh big mouth told you about last night".............she said "yea, as soon as she walked in the door.".................I said "would 'you like to see the bruise on my ass".............she is a nurse, but said back.............................No thanks Nan, I'll pass on that one, and then laughed again...........I have no idea where they all get their sense of humor from...................Well I'm back home, walking like "IGOR" from the movie " Young Frankenstein", and wondering what else I can do to embarrass myself............................funny thing is................I was trying to figure out why and how I didn't really get hurt.
Then I realized................I was dressed like the friggin Michelin Man ..............how could I get hurt, I'm lucky I didn't bounce......................there is something to be said for "cold weather", and the clothing we wear..................Ok, gotta get the Vodka.............my kids hid it in the "chandelier"...............shit, that means getting on the ladder.....................sure hope I don't fall..............maybe I better go into the closet and get my Longwood Gardens outfit, before climbing................hahahhaahahahaha, love you ladies.

ducky...Just stay quiet on Christmas see how the family will react...LOL
I'm here to think out loud......wrapped couple of presents....No falling or anything.
Santa Claus delivered another little package that's my DD side gift.
The other 2 will be delivered Friday.
I poured POM in a small fancy wine glass it looks so pretty...i'have been sipping.
DD doing her wash.............
-
You should take a picture of the bruise on your ass and make a Christmas card out of it for them. I would be angry that they were making light of what could have been a more injurious fall. But I'm in a bad mood...I gotta get me a bah humbug hat.
(((((((TOL))))))))

Happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish friends.

Happy Hanukkah to all!!
Ducky, you have such a way with words, you need to write a book and I definately think your kids get your sense of humor from you. Have been to LG and I find it boring, lol....U are clumsy well so amd I and more now since X who causes you to be uneasy on your feet and I am more clumsy then I was before, fall all the time. Thought I could learn how to roller blade, went and bought blades, 20 min later, broke the elbow, didn't learn and 2 weeks later broken the other one...the stories goes on and on....
I don't think your kids were laughing at you....they were laughing at you, if that makes sense.
Deb, am jealous of you.
Seyla....you are the best...
Linda it is countdown to the kids being home for a longtime, or what will seem like a long time!!!
Whatcha all doing, it is 952pm

Christ..........................I guess it is hard to be serious about my fall, when I was sitting on the ground laughing my ass off.........
The youngest one, who was with me last night, has been with me for way too many falls......................Like I said her famous saying when I fall is "Mom your gonna f---ing kill me.........and I laugh in her face everytime..........................Her and I were at my shore home last year ......we were leaving, and I was carrying an armful of stuff (all clothes)......she was in front of me, walking and talking to me, got into the drivers seat and closed the door....................she was watching me, then turned away, by the time she looked back, I had gone stepped onton the lawn, lost my footing, and fell onto the lawn, and landed on the pile of clothes..................................All I heard was the car door open, her scream .....................What the hell did you do .............your gonna f---ing kill me.......................well can't blame her, cause the year before I had a heart attack........................
Got up at 3am felt funny thought it was an anxiety attack, but wanted to make sure, so I drove myself to the hospital cause I didn't want to wake my kids up. ................it was a heart attack.............and they made me make 1 phone call..................she was the one I chose.............I called and when my son-in-law answered, he said ....................What's wrong............................I answered...............I'm in the hospital, they just told me I am having a heart attack.......he repeated what I said, and all I could hear was...........................Jesus Christ she had a heart attack.............................5 minutes later, her and my other 2 daughters were beating down the door of the ambulance they put me in to transport me to another hospital for a cardiac catherization.................................screaming...............:open the door, and when they did the youngest one tried to climb into the ambulance, while the EMT was shoving her back out ..................................so our whole family is a comedy team.................so them laughing................I would have expected nothing less...........................I could write a book..............remember 20 years ago my husband died, so they have been dealing with my "antics" since then....................no Daddy around to handle "Mommy"...........................they're stuck 'with me........................hahahahahahahaha
-
Ducky, you will live forever, just for the comedy and fun of it! Keep us posted, I love reading your comments!
Have fun Deb!!
