Thinking Out Loud.....

They dont ticket each other!
-
It's the brass-pass. I know.
I have thought about writing to his department. He might get called on it. Or perhaps one of the News stations might be interested with the recent deaths of those two people this weekend.
-
I think the news station would make a bigger impact!
-
So sad about the people who died. Maybe when they said he was "going on a call" they meant going to the scene of another crime and was distracted listening to dispatch or other officers? I hope that's all it was.
I like it when even the cops don't stop when I'm waiting to cross at a crosswalk when I'm out for my run...

You're right about damned if you do, damned if you don't with appliance repairs. I never know what to do - depends on my mood I guess - how much I want to avoid replacing whatever is broken.
Lost internet upstairs yesterday. Our house is flaky - I guess wifi isn't very strong upstairs? so H uses some gadgets that send the signal through the power outlets to the room upstairs. I guess one of those gadgets was flaky. He replaced one and now it works. I hate flaky technology. Wonder if DD learned a lesson, though - I doubt it. She was about to leave to go to church to meet with the organist and other trumpets to rehearse for xmas eve and needed to print out the music the organist had emailed. Well, the internet was down upstairs and the printer is upstairs so she couldn't download the music and print it.
So if that wasn't excitement enough - that weather was freaky last night. My kids are home from school today because the school still doesn't have power after the freaky wind last night. All of a sudden, I heard what sounded like a big truck going down the street (might have been our trash barrels blowing). Then I realized it sounded very windy all of a sudden. I looked out the window - couldn't see anything and then hopped to the front door. I heard cracking - like trees cracking - and I'm thinking - what the hell is cracking - there aren't any trees left! - in our yard anyway. So I opened the storm door to peek outside - felt a little rain and then saw a flash. Said - oh - thunderstorm - but usually the storm starts before the wind starts breaking trees...Then I heard the loud hum of a transformer blowing and the power went POOF. WTH? The wind was so scary I thought we were having a tornado or something. DS - who freaks out about the weather like I do - came downstairs. He had just gone to bed. We went to the back porch to see what was happening on that side of the house (I hopped...). We got there in time to see another flash from in front of our sideyard neighbor's house and sparks! Then the wind disappeared and it was just raining lightly. What the hell was that all about?
We got our power back about an hour later - not sure why they couldn't restore it to the high school. Great - another "snow" day. They've already had SEVEN. I think CL&P should have tried harder. CL&P - formerly Connecticut Light and Power - now called CandleLight and Propane. LOL
-
Oh - Linda - my DS had that - gynecomastia - very common - usually temporary - caused by hormones during puberty. I think DS's "swellings" are going or have gone down. It is distressing though - first to have it at all - and then when your mom has had cancer... But gynecomastia is most likely what it is.

-
Thanks Chris.. I dont see swelling but can feel a lump under his nipple. I'm hoping its gynecomastia too. Just freaks me out!

Well started out a 7am this morning to get things done........I do xmas eve every year, and this year is no exception..............
Just jumped out of bed, brushed my teeth, and really did not look at myself in the mirror.....took the brush through the hair, and thought, ok, good enough, its early , who will I see......................put on a heavy coat figuring it was cold in the house, it must be cold outside.
Went and got my 4lb of Roast Beef, 3 different cheeses, corned beef, and a bunch of other stuff Cheese Cake Factory cheescake.........beans to make garlic green beans, chips, peppers stuffed with locatelli, and prosciuttti, then home to put all that away.................again never looked in a mirror to see what I looked like...............the second store I went to to order my Roast Pork Special from, and also more food for xmas eve.........................The store has big glass windows, and as I passed the windows I thought..........good God you look like a homeless person, who just stole your coat from someone on the street..........................It was so "hey lady are you going to ski the "alps" in that outfit, I thought "why are all those people walking around in shirt sleeves................we're in Pa., its Dec. for God's sake, then figured, well you started out at 7am when it was "chilly"................well enough said about that................then whle in the store people were staring at me, and I thought...........................hell it must be this frigging coat............I do look like a homeless person in February, and though "open up your purse maybe someone will feel sorry for you, and "donate". Well when I finally got home I got an aha moment when I went into the bathroom, and this time did look in the mirror.....................No one was looking at my coat..............here is what I did 3 hours earlier...................when I got in the car, my lips were dry and sore, and I forgot to put lipstick on, so I reached into my purse, and pulled out what I thought was my Estee Lauder, lip balm and proceeded to smear it all over my mouth, not being careful where I put it, of course.......................its invisible...............................Are you ready for this..........................it was not my lip balm..............................it was my Rosy Red tube of lipstick, which is in the same color tube.............. and I ;had smeared it all over my mouth, above and beyone lip lines...............................I looked like a friggin clown..................no wonder people were staring at me...................................Imagine..............................dressed like it was Feb..............in a jacket that looked like I stole it from a homeless person, its so heavy, and lipstick smeared from one end of my face to the other................................Next year, God willing, I am, going to "sleep" Thanksgiving night, and not waking up until January 2nd........................Right now I am going to find the biggest glass in the house, and fill it from the biggest bottle of Vodka I have, and sit and ponder............................Is this really what xmas is suppose to be about....................................... Hallaleuyah.........................?....................Running around like a "homeless clown in a big coat, with Rosy Red lipstick making a "what the hell is with her"..statement. No wonder the young mothers were grabbing their kids when I walked by ..........................hahahahahahaha
-
Yet again, Ducky, you crack me up! Maybe when you go to pick up your roast if will be free of charge.....for the homeless lady. LOL!
Went to Dr. and she thinks it just gynecomstria but did blood work on him becaue she knows me and my history and kow I will be freaking out until all other things are dismissed. I feel better.
Went and bought my tenderloin roast, stuff to make meatballs, lasagna, pies cookies, veggies, shrimp etc.....you get the picture. I am doing CHristmas Eve. Should be fun.
Now, I am going to take Duckys advice and find the biggest glass I have......

-
Hi Rosieo....

Good Night (((TOL)))
♥
-
Ducky, you had me with tears streaming down my face. If DH had been around he would have called the men in the nice white coats!
I wore my "ugly Christmas sweater" to work yesterday. It is in shades of blue and has snowmen and American flags on it, and I purchased it Christmas of 2001. It has lost it's spring and sort of hangs on me. What made me think it was a good idea to wear it to work? I wore a solid navy blue shirt under it. Well be noon it was getting too warm for it, and I was getting uncomfortable feeling like I had a blanket draped around me, so I took it off. Did I forget to mention it was angora??? I looked like a cat-lady with fur coating my navy top. I think I need to retire the sweater...at least until there is a contest for ugly sweaters.
-
Santa delivered the last package this morning. My luggage is not big enough so I don't know...
i'll be busy cooking...........
