Ducky always....cookies, yum.....yep I always want to know how everybody feels....
Linda no offense but I want sleep over to be in either bermuda or those cool houses that Shiela posted, the one on the island, and please tell me that there are no kids, no phones just the internet.....that reminds me Linda are you done with the renovation of your house, you haven't said anything
Deb.... I know you will have a wonderful time and take lot of pix, and would love sand (just kidding) how may days are you going to be there?
Diane, so happy you and Shelby got to spend some alone time together, did you have a talk with her about things? Can't wait to see pix of the completed house...
Chris you better be resting!!
-
Blondie..........hope your having a good weekend.............hugs.
-
Almost done Sandy. We just have to sand the walls int he hallways and paint them and the celining. Then put wood in the hall and stairway. Getting close. We have stopped til after the Holidays.
Came home the party and my Christmas tree fell over. Broken ornaments, sap on caroet and table yuck.
Cookies sound good!
Happy packing!

Makratz.....................oh that's a shame.......hope yo got it all back together.
Reminds me of years ago........my now 22 year old grandaughter was about 6, and we were visiting my daughter........it was another daughter and her husband, and they are two goons who laugh at anything..
Well my grandaughter, for whatever reason, decided to crawl behind the tree, and she bumped it, it fell forward onto the floor, and we all sat there, speechless, able to do nothing to catch it, and down it came........................she ran upstairs screaming """"Oh I ruined Christmas"..................her mother (my daughter) went nuts, my son-in law, (her husband) did not know whether to "shit or go blind", and the look on their faces was priceless.
Now like I said my other daughter and her husband laugh at anything, and honestly so do I..................we tried to be sympathetic, but actually had to run into the kitchen to hide the fact that we were hysterical "laughing"....................it was the reaction of evryone to what happened.............................I reminded my daughter, and the now 22 year old grandaughter the other day ewhen they were here helping me put up my tree.......about the incident................I was laughing, asking them if they remembered it.............not funny I know, but it was the look on our faces...........priceless, and the little one screaming "I ruined Christmas........................
-
The poor thing! She did not ruin Christmas. I laugh......DH, not so much...lol...
-
Markatz..................No she didn't, but there was no convincing her of that.........especially with her maniac of a mother standing there screaming.............. "OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, ALL MY SPECIAL ORNAMENTS.....................WHAT THE HELL WAS SHE DOING BEHIND THE TREE...............and the more she yelled, the more we stood in the kitchen and laughed.............................we actually had to leave at that point, cause we could not control ourselves......................and my daughter........maniac that she is would not have appreciated us laughing.....................hahahahaha
-
Glad you all laughed! She reminds me of my SIL. WHen her kids were little and they would fall and get hurt, they would get up and be fine. She would see a trickle of blood on their knees and freak out. OMG!!! THAT MUST KILL!!! OMG!! Next thing, the kid would be crying.......Why????
-
Sandy~we will be there almost 8 days. Arrive about 11am on Tuesday and leave at around 12 pm on the next Tuesday the 27th.
-
Sorry about your tree, Linda! I hope you didn't lose too many ornaments and I hope the sap comes up. (let me know what you use to clean up the sap - dh has gotten sap on his shorts camping and I have trouble getting it out.)
I'm glad you were able to laugh about the tree, Ducky. I would have been more like the maniac mother. Was it her tree or yours? I would have been even more of a maniac if it was someone else's tree... But I am smart enough not to make a big deal when the kids fall down. Don't make eye contact... lol Wait to see how they react.
Wow, Deb - all packed already? You're good.
It is COLD today.
Hope your eyes are better, Sandy.
(((((((((TOL))))))))))
-
christ..........it was her tree, and her daughter (my grandaughter), who got behind the tree and knocked it down..............I honestly think the reason we laughed, and could not control ourselves, was the look on all our faces.......................it happened so fast, we couldn't do a thing...............................had someone had a video of it, we could have won $100,000 on AFV...............I guess somethings you just never forget....................and that sure was funny.
Now my 6 kids were the same way.........they would have gotten behind the tree too, and knocked the damn thing over, but their father.................knowing them.............had ties coming from the trunk of the tree, and had very fine bolts in the baseboard, so if they, or the "dog" did hit it, it could not fall down........................of course he was the sensible one...............me I probably would have said "Its a tree for heaven sake, calm down"..............................but then that's me...........probably the only thing that would bother me would be if ........................some very special ornament in the tree got broke, and could not be replaced,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but then I'm a sentimental "old goat" anyway.................Bah humbug...........where is my Bah humbug hat.......I have to put it on.
-
See, this is why you were able to have 6 kids - the "it's a tree for heaven's sake" attitude. And your DH was smart to tie up the tree. With 6 kids - you know stuff's gonna happen... This is why I probably shouldn't have had any kids. I'm too uptight and can't deal with anything. But I'm muddling through with my 2 - hoping they turn out okay in the end...despite my inability to deal.
Is it us uptight folks that are making you want to put your bah humbug hat on? We don't want you to feel bah humbug ...
-
I used to tie the tree also cause I have had trees fall almost every year, so we would nail it into the wall....
Well the washer broken, Merry Christmas....who has money for that and the best thing is there is wash in it with water in it, will wash but won't spin or rinse......wonder how the boys will wash their clothes cause I am not taking them to the laundry mat.....and who has mone for the laundry mat...I am calm believe it or not, no use in getting upset...
Deb good for you I am so excited for you.
Seyla where r u?
-
Oh crap, Sandy. That sucks. I had a load in the washer when our power went out for days - had to hang everything up sopping wet and scoop the water out and empty it a dishpan at a time. Maybe it won't cost too much to fix? Hope it's something easily fixed. Sorry, (((((Sandy))))).
-
So sorry to hear that Sandy. My old washer was half dead a year ago. The agitator had two seperate parts and only one worked. Really didnt agitate much. My dad was over and was appauled. Then he saw my dishwasher......not working properly either. Dad sent me new appliance! I love my dad!! Sandy, sometimes it's a simple inexpensive fix. Are there any trade school around where you could call and hire some kid to come out and fix it?
Excited for you Deb!
My dad used to use fishing line to tie the tree up because we always knocked it over, or the animals did. lol. I need to figure out how to do that here. Its flipping freezing out!

Thanks Chris for the idea wondered how I was going to get it out, but will do it tomorrow, but how will the boys do their wash, being they are "adults" now they do their own wash, how are they getting it there, and my daughter will be instructed NOT to take their wash...my son's washer broke a couple of months ago so he can't.

-
Hola! I have been unpacking, cleaning, etc - I WILL go home by Christmas!
linda - last night I had the best OCF in ages. Tonight, DH claims he is going to get DQ. Love it, so I hope not!
Sheila????
-
I'm ready to leave DH home. I told him that I was not going to pack for him, so what does he do? Just throws things into the suitcase, what a double dumb ASS. So of course I went and folded everything so there would not be a mass of wrinkles. Then he starts taking shirts that he has not worn in ages and throws those in. Of course I took them out to wash them. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Then he starts arguing with me about my cell phone. When we get home I have to call George the owner of the car service to let him know we are off the plane so he can get in the parking spot cause you can't stay in a spot for a certain amount of time. DH says you don't need your cell they have phones you can call at the airport. STUPID idiot, I have Georges phone number already programed into my cell, why the hell would I have to use the phone at the airport. OMG!!! -
I got productive today.....
I watched the Survivor Finale now I'm here

OCF DQ sounds good. I had 2 slices of white pizza.........

Deb, I would have let him pack the suitcase and made him deal with it in Bermuda. I don't get why you wouldnt bring your phone. I bring mine everywhere, it's for safety too! (and the internet and email, things I can't live without.) LOL. Good luck with DH.......breathe deeply!
Glad you'll be home by Christmas Diane! My sis just moved out of my parents house with her family. They lived there for 4.5 months and are sooooo happy to be home for Christmas. Especially her littlest one who was very concerned Santa would not know where he was!
