Thinking Out Loud.....

Back from my F/U from my onc. Although she is not too concerned and wants to see me in 4 months to repeat blood work.
My Vit D is 25.5 which is low, normal rangs is 30-100 ng/ml
CEA test is 1.4, normal range is
.0
CA 15-3 is 30.3, normal range is 0-31.3
and here is the scary one: CA 27.29 test is 45.9, normal is 0.0-38.6
She said that she is not concerned because my other tests are in the normal range. So I have to do it again in March.
-
Don't forget to make the appointments Deb. You have to stay on top of it!
Neither nooner or exercise. My hip is still out of wack so I am taking it easy. DH and I went out to lunch. Wake at 4 and then soccer banquet at 6. Busy day. Brownies are in the oven.
-
She already scheduled me for March 4th, I will have the blood work repeated a week before towards the end of February. I called my PCP to have my Alprazolam renewed as it has expired. Shows how often I use them but I sure need the script now.
I feel like a baby, when I called my PCP's office to have this renewed, I explained everythng to her then I totally started crying, so bad I could not even talk, they were so nice, I kept apologizing between my sobs and she just said take a deep breath, that is what we are here for. So I will be picking up my script later on today. I already took one half so I will not take the other half until bedtime. I just can't believe how your emotions can control you no matter how hard I tried to stop crying and gain control the worse it got.
-
Deborye - I'm not going to say don't worry, because I am incapable of not worrying. But do enjoy your Alprazolam and don't skip it if you need it. Anything to take the edge off. I am just sorry that you have something to worry about right now - but then isn't that how the rest of our lives will be?
Damn it!
-
I have total confidence in my Onc. I love her, she is so smart. If she is not too concerned then I should not be. I just have to stop letting my thoughts run a muck.
I am going to speak to my PCP again about my bum issues, LOL. They think it's a hemorrhoid. I was complaining of bleeding if I strained so when she checked me out she could see a small one. Let's pray that is just what it is. I have colorectal cancer on the brain right now.
-
Deb....I'm not gonna say don't worry be happy either.
I was thinking about something.
Did you ever have a Tumor Marker test before like after DX and after treatment?
I know that someone in our thread mentioned her normal was 12 something.
Mine always was between 26-27 at least the last 2 years that I know of.
Maybe that is your normal, maybe it was like that from the beginning.
Again I understand your anxiety perfectly.
If I can do anything to ease your fear I'm here for you.
We all are
I love you♥
Hugs and hugs

Ok, done with the trainer for the day and now wondering what was my score.
Today we worked on flexibility and range of motion
-
The only test I had was the CEA test that was done before tx and that was 1.3, this time the CEA test was 1.4 which is still normal. I never had any of the other tests done.
I am forcing myself not to worry.
-
I was trying to find the info I posted on the other thread about what else can increase the numbers. If i remember correctly even if you had a cold it will increased them.
Again I will try to find that post for you.
-
The CA 27-29 test?
I donated a pint a week before my blood work. Hmmm.
-
We discussed the donating of the blood, me don't care will never do it again, even if the cancer wasn't active. I am glad that you went, I have no idea what the #'s are or the test's are. Seyla love the link!! Working for the next 3 days. Tired don't want to work that much,!!
-
Try not to worry Deb. I know, easier said than done. Maybe your donating blood messed the numbers up. XOXO
-
-
Sheila - just today I told a friend I didn't know what normal was anymore. I am probably pretending too
-
See You later......................
-
Making rum balls and banana cream pie for a dinner party we are going to this evening...
-
Sounds yummy!
I am back home from the funeral. What a sad day. She was just so young.
I hope you all had a nice day.
-
Linda - what I always find so disconcerting is that there is this terrible sadness in the life of a family and yet the life and the world goes on....
Banana cream pie had to get changed to Kentucky Derby pie because host is from Kentucky and a friend said he hasn't had one in a few years. It is easy enough, basically pecan pie with chocolate.
Having a nice mellow day....
-
(((Linda)))
RCG....Did you mention pecan pie. I'm drooling
I'm having salmon and a big bowl of salad with a large avocado. I like them when they come from Mexico they are very creamy and have a very nice texture.
((Deb)) ((Sandy))
Where is chris???????
-
I did, it is lookin' good! I think our friend will be happy.
I love salmon, and also avocado. I buy them in quantity at Costco.
It is 2:45, think I should finally shower? I guess I forgot
-
Pie sounds yummy, I have never heard of it. Pecan pie is my favorite...so why not add chocolate.
I am cooking salmon too. Kids are off to skating in a bit. I just want to chill out.
-
Basically you are right, pecan pie with bourbon and chocolate. Are they skating outside? That would be so fun to do again. I want to chill too, but we have this engagement dinner.
How do you make your salmon?
-
Im ready for my pecan pie now. I smell it
-
Sheila - it smells amazing, pecan pie with bourbon and chocolate...mmmmmm.
-
I know it smells amazing.
Whereeeee issssss myyyyy pieeeeeeeeee
-
I just called fedex overnight.
-
I have a question, when I click on someone's picture, it doesn't get large so that I can actually see it, is there a trick for this?
-
No.
You can only do that on FB.
Thanks for doing it overnight after all it's considered an emergency package.
