Thinking Out Loud.....

Hello Ladies!
-
Good morning Linda! A beautiful day here - how about for you?
-
Hi ladies - just checking in. Trying to get my daughter to come out of "her cave" (my son's words). She sleeps 'til noon when she doesn't have to get up for school or band.
Went to the Veteran's Day ceremony on the town green. Took my DS to join the Scouts. It is a nice day - a little breezy. Sun is warm, but the breeze is cool. I got up late myself, so I went with very damp hair (except for the front which I curl). Now I look like a wild woman with my hair wind blown. Not that I'm complaining. Last year, I didn't have hair.
Sheila - your due date was the 16th and your DD wasn't born until the 27th?! Did they miscalculate the date or were you about to explode?
-
The sun is finally out but it is very windy and only about 48 degrees. The wind is making feel colder. It's supposed to warm up tomorrow! YAY!
-
That is something I miss about New England - the acknowledgement of Veteran's Day, the celebration of the true meaning of the 4th of July - basically knowing that history is the reason for these days rather than just a parade or day off. Don't get me wrong, I am happy with Seattle and there are many positive things about being here, it is just that the history is somehow missing for me.
-
I can think now. coffee is in my system.
chris.....she was a big baby 9lb 3oz and 22" long. I really felt like she was kicking my heart.
Easy pregnancy and easy delivery 3 hours it was over.
The same with the first one 9lb 4 oz and 5 hours labor and delivery.
Well I was young then......
Diane last night i actually didn't snack because i was busy posting with you late hours when I'm starving. Today I weigh 2 lb less.
((Linda)) ((peeping lady)) ((Foots)) ((Meece)) ((Sandy))
I'm turning my computer off in a while. Beautiful day requires a nice walk.
-
So Sheila, I am helping you keep your weight down? Some people charge for that but since I enjoyed myself, that is a freebie. I did same kind of deliveries, quick and dirty, one big, one small.
I am waiting for the electrician and then I will walk..

Happy Veterans Day
To rule the world with violence
Is their one and only goal;
Terror is their method;
They want complete control. We've seen it all before,
And we could not let it be;
We gave our lives for freedom,
For the world, and for you and me. We fight all forms of oppression,
Helping victims far and near,
To keep the world from chaos,
To protect what we hold dear. America's the only country
That gives with its whole heart,
And asks so very little;
We always do our part. So let's unite again
To subdue our newest foe,
Whatever we must do,
Wherever we must go. Let's show the world once more
That America is blessed
With people who are heroes,
Who meet each and every test. -
WOW number 300
-
Nice sentiments on your #299
I was too slow to be #300...
-
Very nice Deb.
300, yes we are a chatty bunch. Just got back from my sanity walk. Felt good. Hope you are all enjoying your day.
-
Deb...That was beautiful. Were you off today/ how was the pumpkin pie?
RCP....Deb was my teacher until I learned how to post (volunteer
.
Linda was the Assistant teacher and a good counselor (volunteer also
Now you are here for my weight. What more one wants.
Okay I proudly announce I moved a lot today, I did DD's wash (a Lot) and I walked around my regular route. Because I promised myself if I didn't walk I couldn't post tonight. And it worked.
I know....
I'm browning some ground turkey with spices and will add zucchini, cut the AG ready to go to Microwave. I need to take a shower. Now I'm just taking a break.
How can we find out how Foots is doing. She must be in the hospital because even when she is sick she always posts.♥
-
(((Foots))) (((Pauldingmom/Lisa))) Thinking of you Sisters.♥
-
I sent her a PM on facebook and haven't heard from her either. I think he last login was 2 days ago.
Thinking of you Foots. We all miss you!
-
I missed the beachhhhhhhhhhh
I burned the onions I was sauteing.
Ground turkey was saved at last moment.
-
OMG, that reminds me I bought AG and forgot about it. I better cook it up now if it's not too late.
-
-
Good luck with the AG Deb! I sauteed mine tonight with olive oil and had some haddock. Boys had pork tenderloin.
Temps are dropping fast! It's 33.9 here now!
-
I'm gonna throw some GAAARRRRLic in the pan.
-
GAAAAAAALIC!!! Get rid of that r!
-
GAAAAAAALLLLIC
-
Did NOT have the day off and we were very busy.
We have partnered with Unilever and have a clinical trial going on. Recruited 50 women to come in every day for 4 months for laser tx and see what the results will be like in 4 months.
-
I wish I lived closer to you Deb so I could do your trials.
-
Have you visited the website?
www.cynosure.com
-
I did several months ago when you were doing another trial. Looks like a great company to work for.
-
Sheila - glad I could be of service. I signed up with a trainer today to come during my off chemo weeks to the park nearby. I am kind of scared to go to a gym with all those germs on the equipment - am I being silly?
Makraz - Damn, you did it again. Haddock!!! I haven't seen haddock in a very very long time. People here try to tell me cod is the same, and it;s ok, but it is NOT haddock. I also desperately miss Purdue chicken which is not allowed by the WA growers association because it would be too much competition for the stringy things they throw us here. When my father-in-law flies, he used to bring me a cooler with haddock and purdue but that is not allowed anymore.
Deb - I want to be in your trials too. If I pronounced GAAAAAAALIC here, they would think I meant an Irish person.
I happen to love asparagus but is it a requirement to belong to this little group? It seems you ladies are always mentioning it?
-
Yes we do always mention it. It makes us feel better about the unhealthy things we do. Like the margarita I am drinking righ now. I had 5 teenage boys here today so I am entitled too.
I love haddock. Since my dx, I stopped eating meat. I do eat it about once a month, but most nights it fish and AG for me. My sister is a commercial fisherman in RI so she stocks my freezer whenever she can. It's nice to have a sister in the fishing business.
I have a lot of GAAAlic friends too! LOL!
-
Ooooo - I want to be participate in your clinical trials! I could probably use all of them! Scars - veins - my tamoxi-beard. Would love to get rid of them. LOL
Mmmmm - margarita. I could go for one of those. Opened a bottle of wine last night - maybe I'll have some of that. I sound like a lush. I'm not. I go through phases.
Time to watch Big Bang Theory - we dvr'd it. Anyone watch it?
-
You just reminded me I have wine and forgot to drink it. Maybe I join you.
My dinner was gooood. I started with AG so my stomach got full than I had a polite portion of pasta and GT.
Haddock is the one that the fish separates to little curls. Well you know what I mean.
Christine emailed me before to tell me how happy she was that she found Artichokes.
-
RCG~do live near Centralia WA? My DH's half sister lives there.
I don't believe I ate the whole bunch of AG. I'm FULL.
