several ways: I have been able to help others who are going through the same experience with practical and emotional support, I am much more daring & have done a lot more of the 'someday I would like to...' stuff, things that used to bug me alot now only bug me a little, and things that I used to appreciate a little I now appreciate a lot!

everyday....and I do mean every*day*. I don't care what the weather is or what I'm doing..work or play, I love that I am able to jump into my car to run to the store, scrub floors, go to a broadway play, work out, swim, take walks, etc. There are so many that can't do those things and I know they'd trade places with me in a New York minute to even be able to do mundane things. I'm not a pollyanna but I never fail to take moments during day to thank the Lord for the gift of another day.
One traditional "good luck" food we will eat on NYE or NY day is....................

get my hair cut and colored every five weeks (before it REALLY needs it)
liv, we've looked at several cars, and the dealorship is getting in the exact model we might want for us to test drive etc. a sterling grey Ford Fushion
the last time I got a brand new car was....(for me it was in 1975, an orange Volkswagon Beetle, an automatice that cost $3,200)

The last time I got a brand new car was my Escape in 2010..I do a lot of driving for my work and am now past 50K on it...weighing the decision to keep on driving or replace it this year.
When I started driving, gas was $___ a gallon!
