(yes, so far anyway, I'm 125 pages in)
hiking in Colorado, a rattlesnake was sunning on a rock... we backed up and took a break, 15 mins later it was gone. (p.s. thanks for the humane catch & release)
The last time I saw a deer was ...
-

The happiest wedding I went to (besides your own) was...........
-
When I was a girl an old bachelor farmer and a retired spinster school teacher were members of our small, close knit church. They were both wonderful people in their 70s. Everyone was shocked and thrilled when they announced that they had fallen in love and were going to be married. They had a simple but HUGE wedding. All the church members, friends, former students.....everyone in their lives was invited. Of course, I was AMAZED that people that old might have ROMANCE in their lives.
One wedding that I went to but knew it was a big mistake was.....
-
the wedding of my best friend from childhood. She graduated from college early and married an older man who was divorced. The marriage didn't last - he was mean and he hit my bestest of bestest friends. We didn't live near each other when they married and I had no idea he was doing it. My friend was a strong, independent person and he took that from her. She remarried, had children. The new husband is a controlling jerk. I wish I could go back in time when we were young and forewarn her.
The funniest thing I saw at a wedding was...........
-
this really isn't funny, but it looked funny......it was really hot and a groomsman fainted dead away.....falling straight to the floor like a tree that was cut down in the forest......
the most fun wedding I ever attended as a guest was.....
-
(sounds like the wedding segments from America's Funniest Videos!)
the wedding of one my college roommates. She got married in San Jose so I got to go to California!
The next wedding I will be attending.......
-
will be in October; the son of some good friends is getting married.

-

(A toot-toot for the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago - wonderful place)

Someone who has made a big difference in my life who I'd really like to thank is .....

my mother. I know I had thanked her on some level. Yet as I reach difficult times in my life I realize, more each time, how much strength she taught me or has given me. I feel I am half the woman she was, but I'll get there, thanks to her.
