a nice summer day; a group walk, then coffee and muffins on the deck in the morning, a big family picnic in the backyard in the afternoon, playing lots of croquet, talking, visiting, laughing, going out for Dairy Queen and then staying up half the night playing more inside games. (We just had such a weekend when my extended family was all here over Father's Day (my dad lives in a nursing home in my town). It was so much fun! A perfect day!
A perfect family vacation would involve....

renting a big house at the beach and having everyone together for sun and fun at the ocean.

well, I was hoping for time to take a nap but that's over with, no time. But I guess I'm hoping that once I get my laundry done I can just sit and relax for the rest of the evening...which means no calls, etc.
If I could go back in time to one day in history and spend 24 hours in it, that day would be:
