hello gb xx Its lovely to see you....and thankyou for your kind comments...I would never have gained the strength I have without all my sisters here...this site has done me wonders..and you all have got me through these dark shadows....
My dad says I have to go through all the thoughts I am having , its natural. And when I have gotten so down I will come back up stronger......Hes very worried and has kept me supported , he used to be on the helpline at the hospice after my mum died at the age of 42...he wanted to make some good out of my mums battle. He sat with other people dying and supported people on the phones....he was an inspiration ..although I was too young to realise...He lost my mum,was young himself, bringing 3 children up...and still found time for others..He has been a rock
I have decided to live my life as normal as I can and not worry too much....or give it much thought...in my day to day life....

Sue,
Glad to her you sounding better. The journal sounds like a great idea. With your way with words it will no doubt turn into a book someday!!!
Some ladies I've met on another thread call our life after bc "the new normal". It's almost like we're starting over again. It is something that only the woman here could understand.
Stay strong,
Valerie

Hi honey, it is Shirlann, I am so glad you are feeling better. This dang thing is like a roller-coaster, never know when you will shoot or shoot down.
Yes, we do change our time. Next weekend, I think.
Whew, when you get onto the anti-deps you will sleep better (even though they are not sleeping pills) and just feel fine all around. Darndest thing. I can't wait for you to get to that place. No more sadness, you are to precious to us all not to feel good. Can't let you be sad. Won't have it. Almost ready to climb on that plane!
We had our San Diego BCO.org luncheon today, it was so neat, we had 9 gals. Sure enjoy them all. Wish you could come too.
Anyway, dear Sweet Sue, just a little longer and things will look up.
Hugs, Shirlann -
What a wonderful story, Jane. Betsy is adorable. Isn't it amazing what gifts come to us through our pets. Of course, one litte typo turns it into pest, which can also be true! One wonders how many lives have been saved, how much hope has been restored by these furry gifts.

Hi Sue. I'm checking in kind of late tonight, so I'm sure you're asleep by now--I hope so anyway. The journal is a wonderful idea. You have a wonderful way of expressing yourself. You're eloquent, funny, and very bright. I think you'd write a very entertaining and heartfelt book. I'd buy it in a second--but you have to mention me in it
.
You sound much more positive today. I'm glad!! It really is best to take things one day at a time. Enjoy those boys of yours. Your Halloween celebration sounds like so much fun--I love bonfires, and my kids would love an excuse to set off fireworks other than Independence Day. My poor puppies (especially our little dachshound) hate it though, just like your poor kitty.
I saw a new thread called "Newbies with Triple Negative Disease". It looks like this lady is a survivor who was triple negative and she's provided a link that gives up-to-date information. You might want to check it out.
Take care Sue. Good luck being on your own tomorrow. I'm sure you'll be just fine.
Love and hugs,
Karen

Jane, I loved your inspirational stories. That's amazing about your dog "finding" the lump. Animals are so intuitive, aren't they? My little wiener dog refused to leave my side last week when I was ill after my first round of chemo. She honestly looked sick herself and kept gazing at me with those sad, worried eyes. What a loyal companion she is!
Hugs,
Karen

Sue, am off to work today and will be thinking of you as you are on your own. Yes, get yourself sorted with a gossip mag and some hot chocolate with marshmallows and snuggle up in front of the fire for today - you can just about guess what I want to do, can't you?
You sound upbeat today - Jane's little Betsy has worked her magic on you. Good thoughts wending their way to keep up your better spirits.
Much love

Sue, your father sounds like a truely remarkable man! What a rock! I think this is partly where you get your true grit from! It's so great to hear you sounding better. You will overcome this.
We went forward an hour on Saturday night and I always feel a bit tired for the first couple of days as my body clock gets used to it. And it's hot, hot, hot tonight.
hugs and love,
gb

Hello Everyone xx
Its midday here and I thought I would just come and type...you're all probably in bed...lol...
Karen...thankyou for the link, I will go there and I will have a read...I just want to say thx for all the encouraging you give me, even though you're going through treatment and lead a busy life...You're dogs sound very loving...don't they kind of blackmail us...my cat Zippy has been lay down with me since I was out of hospital...he has managed to steal 3 out of the five pillows I was using and is in his element all stretched out and boss ..... I daren't move at times.....but of course it gives me great happiness...lol
Hope you're having a good day at work Valerie...I have missed daytime tv damn...haha...I might watch it tomorrow...Hope everything is 'ok' ...I always look out for you..
gb...blimey ...you had me checking BBC NEWS homepage for the weather....I almost wondered what term of 'hot' you were referring to..haha...its cold and blustery here! I forgot you had a Summer....How wonderful...send me some of the rays....I am a Summer person more than a Winter...and even your clocks go forward not back! ...... I must remember this when I imagine what you're doing...
Well I went to the doctors today and he gave me some more tramadol...I thought they would come in handy ...some diazepam...for those moments and I asked him for what Poppy was taking ...he recommended something that worked faster...ten days..and that was cipralex....So I have popped one and will count the days ...
I feel down but am hanging in ....I am going to make a nice cuppa and see to Zippy as he is screeching to me from the other room...lol

Honey, you are doing just fine. I am so glad you have your cat. I had to laugh because our dog Dusty had all the covers last night and also my side of the bed, and I had about 3 inches, and I'm thinking, "wait a minute?". But I didn't move him, he sleeps so beautifully. Whippets lay on their backs and look just like people. It is so funny.
Now you are on the right track, and better days are coming. You will get through the chemo and then the rads, and you will be back to your old like in no time.
We are all here, come a lot and just rant and rave, it is what we all do.
Love you sweetie, Shirlann

Oh, Shirlann, your night was so familiar to me. Last night I was the last in bed. The dogs were cozy their beds on each side, one cat was under the covers keeping me warm, the other curled up in his little basket on the counter in the bathroom.
As I was beginning to drift off, Bootsie the cat started a plaintive meowing. This is unusual. So, I got up and went to him. All seemed in order, so I just petted him. He purred. Ah, he just needed a little love. Then he bit me. Not hard. Okay...enough.
Back in bed, my SO was making odd sounds at the end of each breath...kind of a whimper. Thinking it must be a bad dream, I did a gentle touch. It worked. Soon, it changed into a snore-type thing almost like choking. A strong shove corrected that!
Soon, Dorie, the lab, started dreaming. She was growling, barking, running in her sleep. I got up and gently woke her enough to end the dream.
Aren't families wonderful???
Great to hear your progress, Sue! You're going to make it!

OHHHH Shirlann I had a lurcher a few years ago (hes with my ex)...I got him from abandoned animals...he is called Neville...and had a brother called Nigel....Neville is very loving but renowned for thieving food....lol...he used to sleep on my bed...we used to share the biscuit tin ....or should I say he used to share with me..bless his manipulative face...LOL...Dusty is a great name...God Bless him...you will be on the floor before long!!
Towhee another beautiful name for a dog...I love labs,I grew up with them...and my dad still has one....Your cat must haved been giving you a lovebite! Zippy does that ...boy does it make my eyes water...he bites my nose!!
Anyway still down , read too much I do.....still got a damn hunch about being trip neg...but I am starting to be thankful them there lymph nodees were clear .....I just feel like this is it....hopefully I will feel better when I see the Onc....
I have spent the afternoon doing some paperwork for work at home...but generally doing nothing...I hope my spirit rises a little soon....
Its GREAT to know you're all out there

I would love a house full of pets...hahaha...I love hearing about how loving and clever they are...xx I WANT A DOG....oh my ...well one day...when I dont work as much....I do hope I live....'sigh'
-
You must be exhausted Towhee! But I love to think of all these gorgeous animals all snoring and dreaming together beside you.
I am pet-less at the moment as I had to have my dear old Pusscatortum put to sleep a couple of months ago. I am starting to look in petshops again. There was the cutest black and white kitten in a pet shop yesterday, curled up in a ball. While I was looking at her, she opened her baby blue eyes and spoke to me. Wish I could have taken her home! I hope she gets a loving human companion.
Anyway, I digress. Sue, I hope the meds work quickly - well within the 10 days. In the meantime, cuddle Zippy and stay close to us.
love,
gb oxox
