hi to all you beautifil ladies and UB,2 weeks ago i was recalled from a routine mamo and thankfully,my problem turned out to be B9,however,in the days i was waiting and worrying about my results,i found this thread and started to read from page 1.
Over these past 2 weeks,i've come to know you all so well,i've laughed, cried, waited with baited breath on your results,i've shared in your joy at the good times and have worried along with you all in the times of pain.
I thank you all for giving me the opportunity to know each and every one of you and i think your all an inspiration to anyone that visits this site...i hope when you all meet up in Oz,you'll have the time of your lives.
Best wishes to everyone xxxx

Hello dear Sisters xxx
It is a beautiful day here and I have a day off in respect of my chemo yday given to me by my new bosses ....today I feel a load of pressure eased as Tom has gone and I finally have a whole heap of back up and a sidekick to boot ...my asst manager Craig.... I will let you know what he is like when I have worked with him...he looks fresh out of the freaking chippendales if you ask me hahahah xxx
I am sick and tired today ...so please bear with me ...hahah ... focus Dorothy !!!
Ok I spoke with my dad last night mainly about work.... but he mentioned this lovely girl from the Lake District ...only very young ...who used to play with him in the band...and often calls him to see how he is .... she sounds so caring ...well she is doing a 9 mile star walk in the lakelands for cancer care ...and has her own justgiving charity web page ..... my dad has sponsered her and I have today .... I am not sure as to the rules of this forum about giving out sites ...and if it is not allowed .... then please dont think about sponsoring.... I want you to take a look at her ....because I dont even know her...but to know she is looking out for my dad brings me great warmth

Dear Sue,
I am glad to hear you acknowledge you have employment rights. This was what popped into my mind when you mentioned the recent job information. I wish you the best experience in exercising those rights.
You have been a shining star of an employee throughout your tumultuous breast cancer treatment. Why, even your own Onky would probably assist you in this matter, for you have gone out of your way to support your employer. Forty-eight hours per week may be where you might start, coupled with the additional meetings and the three flights of stairs. Perhaps enlist some employment counsel through the disability register.
So sad that humans would reward stellar performance with no discussion, no back and forth communication and frank negation of a dedicated employees health issues. Breast cancer advocates may also be able to help you, i.e., a society in England, as this disease is so common.
I am glad you are near the end of the chemotherapy and remain amazed at you as a human.
You have wondrous support here: a group of friends that can indeed keep your spirits up!
All the best, Sue.

First, I need to say what enjoyment reading the latest posts was to me this morning!!
Lilly...I am so happy you found our thread and have enjoyed it so much. I am very happy that your results were b9!! That is awesome for you. Please feel free if you want to stick around and visit us and join in on our little family of sisterhood. We would love to have you!
Sue...Tender is right...you are amazing! They should value and realize what an exceptional employee you have been to them! You have endured so much..and never let it stop you!! You truly are such a strong woman. I love you so!! I do hope that when all of your tx are done, we can still arrange a get together. That would be so awesome!!
I will check out that website for your Dad's friend. That is so nice that she is such a special person in his life. That has to bring you great comfort.
Ulla...you amaze me!! I am so proud of how well you are doing. Walking 5k each way to work!! Wow...good for you! Don't overdo it though. Please listen if your body says to rest. I think sometimes, I am pushing myself too hard..and then I am soooo tired.
I am at work..will check in later.
Love to all of you!!!
xoxo

sue, rest well today. and as Tender said get some assistance through the disability registry to see if they can help with the new boss.
Ulla, you are amazing, walking 5 k to and from the school and doing the cycling. It is all I can do to walk the 5 k for the race for the cure. I will look at you and try to do better on my exercising, not put it off as much and maybe I will lose the 15 pounds I have found this past year.
I am going today for my photo shoot! I am excited about it. My mom has come by the office so we can drive down together and she says that my hair looks good. Normally I just wash it, run a brush through it, and let it go at that. I didn't do it much different than normal but did put a little styling gel in it to hold it in place better and used the hair dryer. I have kept it short for years, it won't behave if I have it longer than the pixie type cut I get.
I will check in later and let you know how it went.

My heart runneth over, too...so much love, so much power, so much tenacity born because of something so ugly as bootface. I can't speak individually right now, but will send along my very own "happy dance".
It's my granddaughter at age two...she turns 21 in August...how time flies!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8siZ-IP0Tvc
Thanks again to each of you for all you give...voice to the anger we all feel, kindness, support, pictures, stories, laughs, tears, entertainment, philosophy, spiritual nourishment...

Judie...I will view your link when I go home...can't wait!
Ulla...oh...I love spinning class!!! I used to do it for years. I had to quit, because I could not afford the gym membership when I went through my divorce 6 yrs ago. I would love to be able to take that class again!! You are right...it is the best. Let me tell you, you will see amazing results from this class! Your soreness will go away, you just need to get your behind used to it. But standing during the class is good..you burn more calories. Oh I so wish I could do that class again. Maybe I will just pay to go one day a week. Just pay per class instead of joining the gym. Could I fit that in with my 5 days of running..?? It would be worth it!
Again...so glad to see you feeling so well..and upbeat!
Sue will be there soon!
Sheila...can't wait to hear how the photo shoot went!!
Back to work...
xoxo

dear lisa,,i hope u can fix it to attend the spinning again,,i am doing it daily (5days aweek for 1 hour)and i kepp my walk to and from the school..i feel am ok till now,,no pains ,,no fatigue,,nothing bad..thanks god,,
i love this country ,,they have a very human way to deal with everything,,
u know the gym that i am registered in is just a non-profit club
all the trainers r volenteers working there for free,,it have branches all over sweden,,..
the money that they took from me for 6 months membership is about 300 US$
and once they knew that i just finished my treatment and that i dont have any job yet they made a discount that i just payed 250 for the six mounths including all the activities which r really so much ,,i loved the spinning and the k-balance,,and the core...all that will be added to the swimming team in the weekends,,isnt it too cheap..god knows it even cheaper than wat i used to pay in baghdad,,,
i hope that i will start to lose the extra wieght soon,as it seems that it just stopped on the 84kgm since about 10days,,grrrrrrrrr
much love again for all my sisters
-
Lilly, I'm so glad that you found comfort in our thread while you waited for your biopsy results. Thank goodness you had b9 results! I'm so happy for you!! As Lisa said, we'd love to have you join our sisterhood (bootface or not)!!
Sue, you sound more like yourself today--even if it's because they've pumped you full of steroids
. So your new assistant manager looks like he's fresh from Chippendale's eh? Let's hope he's more than just a pretty face.
Love to all--Lisa, Jane, Ulla, Mel, Shirlann, Wren, Jule, Judie, Nancy, and everyone else.
Hugs,
Karen
-
That really is a great price for your gym membership, Ulla. It sounds like they have everything you could possibly need. How wonderful that you're feeling so well again! I knew you'd bounce right back!
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Ulla...that is about what the US gyms charge. I will check into maybe getting back into one class a week..and just pay for the class. I am getting money from the girls father now..wooohooo!!!!!!! So as long as that continues...that will help me out allot!
Honestly Ulla...you are doing allot..you will see the pounds come off!! The spinning is the best overall body work out I have ever done!! I used to run 20 miles a week...and I raced all the time..but the spinning...It was such a great endurance workout..and easy on the joints..that I just loved it!!
-
Judie, your granddaughter was adorable! I'm sure she's grown into a gorgeous adult. The video was too cute!
Hugs,
Karen

Judie - loved the video - I'm sure your grandaughter wouldn't appreciate knowing you put it on here for the world to see!! hahahaha.
Sue- so glad you had the day off. Is your schedule going to change with the new store? Hope you have Saturday's off now! Don't forget, UB & I are expecting you in NYC in September. Make sure you ask fo the time off in August!!!

AE

September in NYC...can I come???

I love the words to that song, AE. Celine sang it on Oprah a while back to a girl in the audience who loved the song because it reminded her of her father who had recently passed. It was very touching.
How is our dear UB today? When is his next chemo? I saw a cute couple at the cancer center today while I was having my port flushed. They reminded me of how you two must be together--always cheerful and teasing eachother and the staff.
Hugs,
Karen
-
Oops! Did you delete it on purpose, AE?
-
Hey Karen,
When I tried to open the link I got sent to the bcsite - so I thought I screwed up!! I love that song - I saw her on Oprah once when a guy that had bootface was on and he said that song reminded him of his wife and how she was when he was sick so Celine sang it to them -not a dry eye in the place.
I'll try it again.
UB next treatment is Friday - he postponed it a day because we're going to a concert tomorrow night. Knucklehead.
AE

Karen - are you done with your boosts??
