Hi my gorgeous sistas!!! I hope everyone's having a wonderful Monday. Now that Judie and Jule have mentioned the registry fix thing, I remembered that I used it once on Portia's computer. I can't remember the name of it, but as I recall, it did work. I hope it helps you as well, AE.
Ulla, it does my heart good to hear you sounding so happy and loving life again. I'm so proud of you for being so disciplined in your weight loss and healthy living efforts. Keep it up sweetie!
I'm so sorry that poor Penelope hurt herself, Sheila. She must have been scared to death during the storm. My little Tinker shakes like a leaf when it's stormy out. Hopefully she just strained something.
Nancy, the story about your brother fertilizing the leaves cracked me up! Well, as long as HE felt like he was doing something useful. LOL!!
I'm so glad you had a nice time visiting your daughter, Lisa. I can't wait to hear about the trick you played on her.
Hi Jane! I can feel for you with the rainy weather you've been having. It gets old after a while, doesn't it?
I hope our dear Sue is home from work and resting.
Love and hugs,
Karen

Ulla, I dont remember but I had that error on my computer at home too.....I think I booted the computer into Safe Mode and ran it from there, which is a good idea anyway......
If you dont know how to boot to safe mode, all you have to do it do a restart from your shutdown screen....as soon as the screen goes black start tapping on the F8 key on the top row of your keyboard....that will bring you to a screen that has a listing for different things......#1 is normally safe mode and generally already highlighted, but if not, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to put the highlight on Safe mode and press enter....
This will bring you to destop screen like normal but the icons will be larger, a few missing and such, then a screen will come up and you need to click yes on it.......once you click that screen run the scanner.....
Jule
PS. I will post the link to the registry cleaner when I get home in awhile.

Hello everyone! Ahhh, spring has finally sprung! What a perfect weather day for me here. 73 degrees , sunny , and breezy. I hope you all get to have this kind of day soon , if you haven't yet. Well , my o/h flew to Florida Sunday. He went to visit his brother. So its me and Lilly this week. I think she misses him. He is usually here all day with her. She was waiting at the door for me when I got home from work , with one of her toys. So I held her extra long and kissed her all up! Now she is in the hallway with her eye on a ladybug. She'll probably be there for hours!
I spent most of my weekend cleaning and doing windows. Well , some of the windows. I'll do more next weekend.
Sheila , congrats on the calendar! That is so neat. And glad to hear you heard from your son. Hes in my daily prayers. I hope Penelope is feeling better real soon. Poor baby. Doggy prayers for Penelope.
AE , damn viruses! I get so mad when I here of this. I hope Judie and Jule can help you out. Tell UB hello , hope the margaritas where good!
Jane , my batteries are charging , I will take some pics of Lilly so you can see how she has grown. I got her a play palace , I'll see if I can get some of her in it. She loves it. She loves now that the weather is nice , and I have the windows open. She sits in the sill watching all the birds and bugs!Thank God she is de-clawed. She probably would of shredded the screen to get at them!
Ulla ,
Sooooo glad you are getting back on track. It was a long and nasty road , but you did it!!!
My heart smiled when I read your post. Love to you Ulla.
Lisa , glad to hear you had a good visit with dd. What did you and Olivia do!?! Can't wait to hear. Wasn't it beautiful out today? Makes you feel so good. I feel like a butterfly raising up from the cocoon of winter.
Shirlann , welcome back! Hope you and Walt had a great time. Can't wait to see the pics that Sue is gonna post for you. I bet the fur babies were glad to see you.
Oh Nancy , that would be so great if you could work from home. I wish I could. Would your work be willing to let you do that? 3 hour commute sucks!
Karen , yuck. Whats up with your weather?! Thats usually what we go through. Hang in there. It can't last long. So you may have found some house plans you like? It will be so nice when you do and can get started on it.
Hi Sue
! Hope you're feeling better and getting some much needed rest. We are all keeping the "home fires burning" for you. You are more than half way through this awfulness. Soon , you will see Ulla and all of us rooting you on to the finishline!
Love to all you great ladies! Hope you all are having a good evening. Hugs , Melody
-
Hi all you beautiful ladies!
It was soooo hard to get out of bed this morning - it's a dark, rainy, cool morning and bed was such a lovely place to be.
Oh Sheila - poor Penelope! I hope her poor leg gets better soon. My last dog was terrified of storms and fireworks.
Lisa - pics of Oliver would be great! Your time with daughters sounds wonderful - I can imagine how much fun you had.
Sue - how did your meeting go with your new (area?) boss? I hope it was productive and hopeful for better working conditions.
Love to you all
Jane xxx
Ulla - I am just so happy that you are feeling so much better! You are such an encouragement to those here who are still undergoing tx.
Nancy - had to laugh about your brother! You are very good to see the funny side - you have to live with him! I couldn't live with my brother!
-
Ok ladies,
Here is the link to use to download the registry cleaner that I was talking about: http://www.tucows.com/preview/501701, follow the directions and you will be fine...
I check back later to see how it went for you...give a yell if you need help...
Jule
-
Hi Melody! As usual, you delight us with the best pics! The cat with the ladybug - so funny! Lilly is so lucky to have you as her special human. So cute about her ladybug and birdwatching antics. Pics of her in her play palace would be great!
-
Hi Mel! I love the cat with the ladybug as well. The praying dog is adorable too. Good to see you. Enjoy your beautiful weather. I'm hoping for some warm weather here too. They're predicting that things will get better, but it will be gradual.
Hugs,
Karen
-
Hi Karen,
I sure hope it a gradual!!!! We will burn up on this side of the mountain!!!!!! The way the weather has been here I figure it will go from 60 degrees one day to about 90 the next and boom summer will be here...
We are already getting dry here so hopefully Im wrong and it does do a slow warming...
Jule
-
It's amazing how different your weather is over there, Jule. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a gradual warming trend so you don't burn up!
Hugs,
Karen

hello dear dear sisters xxxx
I love your beautiful posts xxx
Well things are bad!!! It is 1 am and I have just gotten out of my uniform etc.... I have chemo tomorra ....
( I am dreading HOWEVER I have had a really bad day...the meeting I had with my new area manager ...resulted...I am working in a new store from Weds...one of Toms old quieter ones...but they are increasing my working week to 48 freaking hours.... thats almost 5 ten hour days....I have loads more work to do...and have to go to 5 meetings a month in Mnachester....the store I am going to manage has 3 flights of stairs for deliveries... and now tonight half my former staff have txt me and they have walked out.... but as you know the BIG FISH wont care as they have had managers ready to place for weeks...AND Tom knew.... so its allllll bad....
I am not signing my new contract as it is as tight as a crabs ass and thats water tite!!!!
If I want a day off holiday I have to give 4 weeks notice!!! OH GOD this is the last thing I wanted!!!!
Well other than that I really wanted you to know you are all in my thoughts as I ride yet another tidal wave!!!
Much Love xxx
-
Oh no, Sue! I'm so sorry. I was really hoping that these new managers would be a huge improvement over Tom. Why have they moved you to this other store?? What are you going to do? There is no WAY you should have to work a 48 hour work week while undergoing bootface treatments! That's ridiculous!! Are you going to start looking for employment elsewhere? I know you love your job, but these people are being unreasonable!
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Sue,
I'm so sorry things were not good today. We had such high hopes that it would be better.
I'll think positive for you--and hope that your chemo tomorrow is uneventful---and isn't it like almost the last one?
I hope so!
Hugs!!!
**this posted three times, so I had to remove two of them

Sue - I am so furious - why, why why are they doing this? I too was very hopeful that they would make things easier for you. I wish we could leak this to the media and bring them some bad publicity. It's an abuse of human rights! The mighty dollar/pound rules. What happened to the milk of human kindness?
Sad for you.
Big hugs,

Hello Everyone xxx
I have chemo at 1pm ....arghhhh ....
I will rise to the challenge at work ....just not looking forward to the long hours .... 48 hours is toooooooooo much .... its not even 5 days at 7-3 ....as theres still another 8 hours to make up...how abismal is that!!!
Anyway I will speak with you all later.... I count my blessings....when the going gets tough xxx
I love you all xxx
-
2 more chemos after today ....god I am not even in the mind for this one with all whats going on in my work life.... I ask that I be carried today .... I pray that I will not lose my head..... I am dreading going to work tomorra early with all the bigwigs training us and reformatting ....xxx
bbl xxx
-
((((Sue)))), I will hold you very close in my thoughts today. You are getting there - only 2 chemos to go after today and then you can start to head back to feeling something like normal again.
Much love and strengthening vibes,
Jane xxxxx
-
sue it is terrible that they blindsided you like that, needing 4 week notice for time off!!! Working 48 hours a week!!! and to top it all off moving you to a different store!!!! We were hoping for a more compassionate boss for you. Well we will keep praying for you. Just remember after today only 2 more chemo. The light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train.
Update on Penelope, she seems to be doing better going up the steps into the house than yesterday, I think she just strained a muscle in her leg. If she did not show signs of improvement by next week, I was to take her back for x-rays.She also is scared of fireworks and thunderstorms. I usually have to sit there and rub her and tell her that she will be ok when there is a storm or somebody is setting off fireworks in the neighborhood.
We have had 3 weekends of rain on Saturdays, great news for the drought. we now can wash our cars 2 saturdays a month and water our grass 1 day a week (not that I water my grass), but the boy who mows my grass can only do it on Saturdays and Penelope won't go in the grass that is now taller than she is. I guess I will have to get out the weed-eater (electric and light weight) and try to cut down some of the area where penelope's cable run is at.
I need to get to work.
Great to see you back Ulla and Shirley.

Sue, my heart goes out to you. Tx is hard enough without grief from your employer. I guess the new owners are as unempathetic as Tom...they seem to have a corporation mentality.
Well, I hope the new location has a good staff. I pray that there will be no slackers and that you get all the support from them you need.
Any room to negotiate the contract? By that I mean, have they said, "Sign it or leave" or are they open to you coming back to them and saying "Well, this four weeks notice clause...that's fine for a week or more holiday, but let's have something a little easier to handle for holidays of one or two days, say a week's notice." And then maybe settle on two weeks' notice. I have a similar, albeit just verbal, agreement with the people who report to me. Anything under three days, and they only have to give me a week's notice. But if they want to take more than a week, and if they want to take it at a very popular holiday time (say around Christmas/New Year's) they'd better give me a month's notice, and there's no promises...if someone else has requested it already, they might get it denied.
Well, I'm riding high on a good week...se's have abated until the next tx on 5/1, onc was very optomistic about my progress, and my birthday is coming up this weekend. I'm having lunch with a friend at my favorite pub (yes, we have them here in NYC).
Got to go to a meeting.

Hi Sue..
I don't have time to write much as I'm off for my mammogram and ultra sound, shortly.
I just wanted to say hello.let you know that I'm following your posts and offering my support.
I live in the US, In AZ but I'm English...... Iwas born in Guildford and lived in Watford until the age of 13...
I'll be back to the board later today. I can't offer any hands on advise as I'm right behind you in my journey/battle. But I wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts..
-
At work...so a quick hello!!
Sue...so very sorry about your work situation!! Darn it...you don't need that garbage!
Sheila..glad to hear Penelope is doing better!
Mel...I didn't see the pics (at work I can't) but thanks...I know they are always cute! Also...girlfriend we have to set up our Sunday!!!!
Ulla...so glad to hear how joyful you are!! I got chills reading your post!!
quickly...the trick we played on Alise...was..when I was visiting her son Matthew...his dad made up some fake $20.00 bills (because I had given him a "cars" wallet) and they wanted money to put in it. Well on the $20.00 bill instead of Andrew Jackson..he put a pic of Matthew! It was so cute, but when you first look at it...you think it's real. So when we paid our bill at Alise's restaraunt..I put that with her tip! At first she thought I left her $40.00 tip..haha. I told her..."you were good honey..but no...I didn't leave you $40.00!" She loved the bill!! It was really cute!! She is such a good waitress! It was great to see her in her elements and doing so very well! Her campus is really nice too! I was very proud of her! It was a nice day!
Ok...back to work..
Love to all!!!
xoxo

Hi ladies,
Just back back from a long walk with UB - I'm sooooo hot I could scream!!lol
Sue -
more to go!!!!! WHOOPEE!! Sorry to hear about your work problems. You said the other store is quieter - do you think they are moving you there because of bootface??? Maybe they think it will be easier for you. Although, I'm not sure how working a 48 hour week would be easier. Is there another Subway nearby that this woman doesn't own that you could work at?? Jeez, like you don't have enough to worry about. What did the oncky say about rad's???
Ulla - WOW girl, you are really doing it up. Be careful though, don't go to crazy.
Sheila - glad "P" is feeling better.
Nancy - have a great birthday weekend!!!

Just popping in to see if Sue has posted again after her chemo. I hope you're resting Sue. I'm praying that your se's will be minimal this time. Only two left!!! Yipeeee!!!! I'm so happy for you.
AE, that baby is too cute!
Ulla, I'm so proud of you for the way you're bouncing back! Wow!! An hour on the cycle! That's amazing! I've been meaning to ask you--have you had your port removed yet? I'm thinking that I'll have mine taken out in September. That will be 11 months after having it inserted. I think that's plenty of time! I don't plan on having to use it ever again!!!
Love to everyone.

I'm so glad you checked in, Sue. You certainly do have rights! Don't you let those bullies push you around! I know you won't. I doubt that they realize what a strong woman they're dealing with.
