Welcome back Shirlann!! Sounds like you had quite the adventure! I don't think I would have been as brave as you. I know I would not have eaten piranha!! Oh my! I am not sure that I would have handled all of the 'interesting" creatures either!
I bet you are glad to be back and see your babies. How did they react when they saw you?
Just wanted to say welcome back...gotta run..my work day is finally over!
xoxo

Welcome back, Shirlann!!! We missed you so much!
You did have quite an adventure, didn't you? Talk about amazing women! I can't believe you held those very intimidating creatures. I would pee my pants if a boa or cayman came anywhere near me! I'm a real wimp when it comes to reptilian creatures though. Most furry critters don't bother me.
I'm so glad you and Walt are back home, safe and sound with your fur babies. I imagine they are beyond excited to have you back.
Love and hugs,
Karen

hi my wonderfull sisters,,
i hope u r all doing well and having a nice weekend..
at last i get back my periods,,i have my period again in 16th of april..
the last one was in 6th of jan.
i never lost them during chemo,,it just dissappeared after the chemo till now..about 3 months..
i will meet my onc,in 5th of may,,to c wat we will decide about the tamoxifin,,
i was scared in the last week (still sacred)
i knew my cancer was stage IIA as my tumour in its widest part was 2cm and that i have 4 involved lymphnodes,,
the tumor typ is IDCwat was written in my histopathology report was sying the TNM class is T2,N2,M0
i was not sure wat stage is that so i asked the onc in my last rad day about the stage he told me he will send me a post with that..i was so scared and shocked to read in his post that my tumor stage is IIIA with TNM class saying T3,N1,M0
i am so confused not knowing wat is the right thing,,i was looking and looking in the staging and classificaion,,ut couldnt reach anything,,
whom should i trust more??the pathology report??or the onc,,??
can anyone tell me..
i tried to call the onc. to ask him why his staging is different from the diagnosis in the pathology report,,but no luck to talk with him..
it seems i will wait till 5th of may...to know the trueth..
i am sorry for such long post ,,i just didnt know wer to go ...
i was thinking ok..wat is the difference if it was IIA or IIIA..??i have done all wat i can do and there is nothing more but to ty to go back to my life and try to heal...and WAIT,,
love u sisters
-
Dear Ulla,
It is all very confusing, isn't it. There is a different TNM classification system for pathology and clinical. Your clinical TNM would probably be T2 N1 MO, which would place your stage at IIA. Your path TNM is T2 N2 MO, which places you at IIIA. The difference is that you had four positive lymph nodes on pathology, which couldn't be known for certain before surgery.
So your onc is correct, but remember that N2 meand 4-9 positive nodes, so you were just barely into that category. You have reason to be very, very positive about your chances with the treatment you are doing. Fear will only wear you out, sweet Ulla. March down that yellow brick road with your head high! You are going to make it!!!
Love,
Judie
-
Ulla, you poor thing! It's all so confusing, isn't it? Judie's right--you had very few postive nodes. Whether your stage is IIA or IIIA, I'm certain that you're going to be FINE! You've done everything within your power to make certain the beast doesn't come back. I have a friend in Australia whose diagnosis was very similar (if not exactly like yours). She's still doing great seven years later! She did take Tamoxifen, so I'm sure your onc will highly recommend it for you as well.
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Judie, I woke up to SNOW this morning! It's finally tapered off now. It was coming down really hard just an hour ago and it was STICKING! I think someone needs to tell Mother Nature that it's frickin' spring!!!!!!
Hugs,
Karen
-
Have fun with your daughter today, Lisa! Drive safely.
I love the photo of your cat, Judie. Very cute!!!!!
Now the sun is out. Crazy!!!!!!!

Hi Ladies - its a beautiful day here in Jersey - have been working on getting my patio together for the summer - didn't want to come in!!! I put out a wind chime I bought in the Keys last year - I can hear it as I type this. Love it!!! UB even went out and bought some Margarita mix for later - woohoo!!!
Ulla - sorry I can't help you - I tend to bury my head in the sand when it comes to all that path stuff. I just know I am Stage IIA also with no node involvement and pr/er+ - thats it - don't want to know anymore - thats enough!!
Shirlann- WELCOME BACK!!! Boy, what an adventure you had!! Can't wait to see the pics.
bbl,
AE

Ulla, I feel exactly the way you do sometimes. Please don't feel like you have to address each one of us individually. We know you read our posts and that you love us. If all you do is say, "Hi. I'm here", that's all we need! I'm so glad you're walking and feeling better physically and emotionally. Life will get back to normal eventually--a new normal, but that's ok. For me, I think the new normal will be better than the old. I've learned to love myself and my life and be grateful every day for all my blessings. You're so lucky, Ulla! You have a husband who loves you dearly, you're young and beautiful and CANCER FREE! Life is good.
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Hi AE! I'm jealous of your nice weather. We had temps near 80 last Saturday and today it's been hailing, snowing, and now the sun's out. It's only about 40 degrees though. Blechhh!!! I had to bring in my poor little fuschia starts. They were just starting to recover from the last frost we had.
Have a great day and enjoy your margaritas!
Hugs,
Karen

I agree, Karen and Ulla, about writing. When someone writes a line about what each person has said, I find it utterly delightful and enjoy their thoughtfulness. When someone responds to just a few topics, or even a single one, I am delighted to hear their opinion/experience. When someone just says hello or asks a question or says something about their day, I am delighted to know they are there and care enough to share a few words.
There are no rules other than to give and love and support in any way one is able.
Warm hugs all around,
Judie
-
I burnt out my fuses by turning on my jug and my toaster at the same time! I thought I had a blackout!
If I haven't already said it - Huge congratulations to UB and AE re the latest results! That is just SO great! Hugs to both of you!
Lisa - have a great time with your daughters - hope you have great weather and lots of fun.
Welcome back Shirlann! Your trip sounds amazing and exciting.
(((((Ulla))))) - path reports always seem to make things sound the worst. I would listen to your onc and to Karen, who has a friend who is still fit and healthy 7 years later. You are going to beat this! I was so impressed when I read about your long walk - you are doing so well to have that much energy!
Judie - that is such a sweet picture of your cat - I wish I could give her a cuddle!
Sue - your Sunday will be starting soon - I love to think of you at home with your dear boys. Hope you have a great day and that you can get some rest and beat off that sore throat. I will be thinking of you when you meet with your new boss.
Sheila - it would be great if you could remind us about the calendar. I wonder if an Australian cheque would be acceptable or would I have to go to a bank and do a special US one? I will find out. So great to hear that your son is coming home to see you! I can just imagine the joyful reunion. Our children, even if they are adults, living independent lives, far away, are always on our minds.
Love to all of you.

Wake up sleepy heads!!!
Hope you are all having a nice relaxing Sunday. Just popping in to say HI!!
Actually,I'm putting off doing some chores. I'll be heading off to sil's later for dinner, can't wait to see my nephew.
Ulla - I have started my walking as well. I love getting out there with my ipod. I'm starting out slow - only do about one mile, but will continue to increase it as time goes on.
Sue - it must be near 3 there- hope you are enjoying those little munchkins of yours.
Judie - your so right about posting, just write what you want, thats what I say!!!
?- for you ladies- does anyone know how to remove a trojan virus from your computer??? I think that is why I can't set my computer up to got wireless.
It is sooo frustrating.
bbl,
AE

Wow! I had a busy day, so didn't have time to check in with you guys until 10:15 pm my time. I expected to spend a while reading posts, but there was only ONE lone post from AE all day! I can tell the weather is getting nicer and people are more busy and getting outside to do things. It snowed here AGAIN today! So much for spring! We drove to Chehalis (1 1/2 hour drive south) to look at some model homes built by a construction company we may use to build our house. One was very nice, but a little small.
Hugs to everyone.
Karen
-
Sorry, AE. I don't know a darn thing about getting rid of viruses. Portia had one on her computer that wiped out her entire operating system (which we had to have re-installed). I hope you get it figured out.
-
Sorry, I'm useless too. I have a Mac so I know even less about pc type problems.
It has been quiet here. Hope everyone had a great Sunday. Most of you will be sound asleep by now and Sue will be at work! Ulla - you might be out walking!
Karen, you will be so happy to see the last of that snow! I watched a doco last night about the possibility of a new ice age. I am sure it won't happen but after such a cold winter in the northern hemisphere...you begin to wonder! We are supposed to get a colder than average winter here too. At the moment its still wet, wet, wet!
More photos of pets please! Keep em coming! I am pet-deprived and I have had to resort to looking at cute creatures on youtube. There's a sweet one of a cat and a dog licking each other's faces - they love each other!
Hope everyone has a better-than-average Monday.
Love,
Jane

Hi ladies,
I'm working from home today because I have an onc appt at 11. Yes, the weekend was quiet here, I see. I got out and about as it is one of my good ones between treatments. Food shopping and house cleaning—done!
I have to laugh. Bossy-brother was out fertilizing the lawn and spread a couple bags of stuff...but most of the lawn is still covered with fall leaves (I hate raking, LOL), so I think his effort will just get washed or blown away with the leaves. I did say something to him but he chose to ignore me and kept spreading. You see, he will do easy stuff like pushing a spreader around, and will take "credit" for caring for the lawn, but he won't do things in the right order, like raking up the old leaves first, or waiting until just after rain so the fertilizer gets into the damp soil and doesn't blow away. He's my brother, so I have to live with it, but I can see why his ex-wife doesn't like dealing with him :-)
My work-from-home schedule is...do some picture research on the web for a book cover...prepare some cover comps (proposed designs) for an editor and email them to her...have a status meeting via phone with the design managers who report to me...start my monthly report for my boss, which is due this week...monitor my office email and respond promptly! I wish I could do it from home everyday...the commute is the worst part.
Did I ever mention that when I lived in the city, I lived 1 block away from my current office? Of course, I didn't work for them then and they only moved there last year, but when I think of having a 5 minute commute vs my 1-1/2 hr commute, I start to imagine what I could do with an extra 3 hrs a day.
-
Good Monday morning ladies!
Sorry...I have to be quick...but I wanted to say hello! Nancy..that is funny about your brother...fertilizing over leaves..haha. Well...he would not have listened to you anyhow!
Karen...sorry it's still snowy there! It will be 70 today and sunny! yeah!
Jane...I will see if I can get some new pics of Oliver on here later!
I had a GREAT day yesterday in Toledo with the girls!!! My daughter looked so good! I will tell you later about the little trick Olivia and I played on her when at the end of our visit, we went to the restaurant she works at..she was our waitress and we tricked her with our tip!
Off to hike my hill 10 times...then I have to carry some junk to my curb for pick up!
Have a great Monday sisters!!
xoxo

It is good to see everyone doing well. I spoke to John yesterday. He is in Guam and looking forward to coming home next month. We had a bad thunder storm Saturday night, I was not home and Penelope did something she doesn't normally do. She climbed into the large overstuffed chair that is in the living room. She was sitting on the chair when we got home and looked at me as if to say, help me get down! When she was climbing up or when she tried to jump off she injured her back leg slightly. Yesterday, she did not want to put much weight on it and would not come up the steps to get back in the house. She was doing better today, but I took her to the vet anyway. They said that she probably just strained a muscle and gave me some meat flavored chewable pain pills to give her for the next 5 days and if she doesn't continue to improve, they will take x-rays. I lost about 90 minutes of work taking her to the vet today. What we won't do for our fur-babies

Sorry to be so slow, AE, but here's your best bet:
http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/
You can do an online scan and removal right there for free. They're great!!! It's the NOD32 site...the best anti-virus software around, IMO. There are other good ones out there, too.
Good luck,
Judie
-
Hi Ladies,
Sheila - so sorry to hear about Penelope - and yes, what we won't do for our furbabies. Im sure she'll be back to normal in no time.
Ulla - I am SO happy to hear you are loving life again. I have to say it - I TOLD YOU SO!!! lol. You have reached OZ, young lady, and it's going to be all good from here on out. Your right about our Sue - she does only have a few steps left, she is right behind you, as is Karen and mia and Nancy.
Gotta run, bbl,
AE
-
Valerie,
you also need to disable any anti-virus/anit-spyware you already have on your computer or they will fight each other....the other thing to do is to run a registry cleaner on your computer as well...I have a link for a good one that I use but it is at home....I will post it here for you later...
Jule
