Aw crum!! I tried to post a funny and the pictures wouldn't post. I hate that!
-
Isn't this snow weird! It's almost April. Gimme a break!
-
Snow is a four letter word as far as I'm concerned!!! We have been VERY lucky here in Jersey this winter - I think we had a total of 4 inches!! That is unbelieveable. It snowed all around us this year. BUT, we got a TON of grey days and allot of rain.
I am so looking forward to putting on a pair of shorts and drinking a glass of wine on my patio while I'm reading a home decorating magazine - life doesn't get much better then that. AAHH!!
Karen - UB & I are hanging in there. He is feeling a bit better but #3 is Thursday so it starts all over again.
You know the drill.
When are you done with rad's??
AE

So, AE, what is your taste in home decorating? A very recent interest of mine. Are you actually doing something or just drooling...er...dreaming?

Hi all my beautiful friends!
I have been reading all the posted. And I thought I would be able to post while I was in Tn. but my sister's computer was down all week. So , am playing catch up now. I had a great time. My niece that was diagnosed with MS a year before my bc diagnosis was there and my other niece and nephew. And my son , so all our kids were there. It was really great to all be together again. I called my sister to tell her I made it home OK , and she asked me if I wanted to move down there , that we could live with them. I would love to. But there is not alot of jobs where she is , and I have to have health insurance. Something to think about... OK , I am tired , and need to go to sleep , but I want to say , Judie , I am sooo glad you came back , and are sharing your life with us.
to you! I hope you are feeling better.xxxx
I was so sorry to hear about Joanne losing her fight. She was such a wonderful person. I read her eulogy and letter she wrote and I just cried. I know the angels sang when she entered heaven
.
Hi Sue
! I'm so glad to see you feeling more like yourself. Maybe the cmf isn't as bad as the other chemo you had. I told my mom all about you and all our sisters here. You are such a big part of my life. Everyone. I missed you all sooo much.xxxx
Hi Lisa!! So you are having tension headaches. I'm sorry. Maybe after you start running again , they will stop. You have been through so much lately , I think you just need some time to get back to your routine and you will be fine. I will be looking for Olivia's comercial.xxxx
OK , I really need to get to bed. I will tell you more of my vacation tomorrow. Love you all.xxxx
-
Judy,
As far as the decorating goes - I have nothing in mind- RIGHT NOW. But I am always thinking of new things to do around here. I drive UB nuts. I can't wait for the warm weather - I decorate my patio in a beach theme - and I love sitting out there at night and relaxing. need to work in the garden as well, but its still to cold for that.
Mel - WELCOME BACK!!!! Missed you around here. So glad you had a good time.
Gotta run,
Hope to talk with you all later.

Sue - sorry I stray a bit - was on ebay trying to find new cabinet pulls for my kitchen cabinets!! Hope you are sleeping!! UB is down for the count.
Lisa- good to see you - don't work to hard!!!
AE
-
Sue it sounds like you're overtired. Your muscles can react like that when you've pushed them too hard. I used to get twitches after my marathon training. It's something to do with lactic acid build up, and sometimes just a warm bath is all you need. Bubbles anyone?

Welcome back Mel and Ulla!!! Yipee!! The gang's all here! It's just not the same around here when there are people missing.
Ulla, I totally understand how you're feeling. The rads are kicking my fanny! I've never felt so exhausted in my life. You wouldn't think that typing requires much energy--but it really does!
Love and hugs to everyone. I'm going to change my avatar to a new pic with my new hair. Ulla, I'm thrilled that the supplements are helping!!! I'm so glad that I was able to help you out.
bbl,
Karen
-
Ulla...so glad to see you post! I am happy for you that your hair has started growing back so well. We understand when you can't be here..we really do. But we love it when you are!
Karen...I LOVE that new pic!!! You look radiant!! Your hair has really come in!! Is that your normal color or have you colored it? I like it so much!!
xoxo
Lisa
-
Awww--thanks Lisa. Yep, that's my natural color. A dark, ash brown that I've always hated. I guess we're never happy with what we have, are we? I've always highlighted. I think I'll keep it dark after it grows in this time. There's a ton of gray in it now, so I have to color. I admire ladies who are comfortable with their gray, but unfortunately, I'm not one of those ladies!
bbl--the dh just came home so we're heading to the nursery for some plants.
Hugs,
Karen

oh karen it is really nice..i love it so much

Hi Ulla! and Karen and Lisa and AE and Nancy and Sue
!Its sooo good to hear from you all. Yes Karen , its hard when people are missing here. I am worried about Mommy Mia. She has not been here since Feb.. I hope you are OK Mia , maybe you just needed a little break too. Hugs to you. Karen , I love your new avatar. Your hair is a beautiful color , and it is a good color to have with highlights. You are beautiful!
I have been busy unpacking and putting things away and washing clothes. I thought I would take a break and say hi. My other half lived on tv dinners(he doesn't cook , AE , you are so lucky UB cooks) so I am making him a steak dinner tonight.
OK ladies , my floor is dry , and I am going to put my new area rug I got in tn. down.bbl xxxx Mel
-
Ulla! How great to have you back! Love you, beautiful one!
Karen - you do look radiant! So beautiful!
Sue - I am just so happy you are feeling happy. I know it must be annoying for someone as active and with as much get-up-and-go as you usually have to be tired but just think of what you have been through - weeks and weeks of not being able to sleep! Now your body is telling you to sleep when you can so you should obey it!
Nancy - what a housefull! You have a big heart and a wonderful attitude but don't let anyone throw out stuff that is precious to you. And I hope everyone continues to help out when you sister goes home.
I can relate to everyones' interest in decorating and gardening. We took my partner's mother, sister and niece to see the mountain cottage on Friday and it was so interesting seeing winter bulbs starting to poke through and discovering fruit trees I didn't notice before. I can't wait to live there!
Mel - so good to see you back here. It sounds like you had a lovely time with your family.
Lisa, hope those headaches go soon. It's been a rough time for you lately.
AE - thinking of you and sending my best wishes for Tuesday and for UB's tx on Thursday.
I would like to say something to everybody but I must away and clean my house. As it is, this post has taken about 2 hours as I keep getting distracted.
Love to every sweet one of you.
Jane xxxx

Thanks for the compliments on my new avatar everyone. You guys do my ego good. xoxoxoxo
Well, we bought tons of fuschia, geranium, and pansy starts. I can't wait to get them into my pots and hanging baskets. I can't even tell you all how anxious I am for summer. I've never looked forward to it this much. I guess that's normal given the crappy winter I had. It seemed like it would never end.
My dh would exist on take out and chips with salsa if it weren't for me, Mel. You'd think he would be more self sufficient given that he didn't get married until he was almost 40! When we were dating, I'd go over to his house and look in his fridge. All he had in there was cheese, take-out boxes, and beer. LOL!!!
Love and hugs to all,
Karen

Hi everyone. I wanted to share a photo of a white squirrel that they have in tennessee. Its so funny , cause where my son lives , they have black squirrels , I haven't gotten a pic of them yet. But here is a pic of the white one. I just find this fasinating , we only have red and grey.
-
I love squirrels! He's so cute, Mel! I didn't know that white squirrels (or even black ones, for that matter) existed. We only have gray ones here.
Hugs,
Karen
-
Isn't he awesome Karen?! I know , I didn't know either until I saw them. I feel so sorry for the poor white ones , they don't blend in to their surroundings , and are easy prey. I guess the black ones , in Kent , are there because someone brought them there from , I think Canada , and they are just in that area. I love squirrels too. And chipmunks!
-
Wow! Karen, your hair looks really nice! You are lucky because you look good with dark or light hair so you can choose to highlight or not....
Sue, just sleep when you need to--I think you have earned it.
Ulla, are you almost done with your rads? I hope you will get your energy back real soon too.
Hugs to all!
**this posted twice so I had to remove one.

Good morning ladies,
Well, one other side effect of the boys moving back is I have competition for the computer. I usually just have to kick my daughter off, but now one of my brothers has started using it. The other one has his own...and won't let this brother use it, so he's migrated to my computer.
They like my Mac, LOL.
Well, day #11 out from the first chemo, and I'm definitely human again. If it wasn't so cold here (28 degrees this morning), I'd be heading to the nursery, too Karen. I think I'll take a walk around the yard today to see if any of the bulbs unfroze and managed to come up. I usually have at least my crocuses and hiacynths pushing through. I love your new avatar...I think we should keep them all up to date. I'll change mine when I switch to my wig in about a week. One last moving story: Almost all their stuff is out, but brother #2 decided he would have one last card party with his friends last night, so there was still some food and adult beverages around. He had hired a cleaning company to come do the carpets and bathrooms and let them in about 2 PM. They were going to charge $80 an hour but it was supposed to be a thorough, professional job since they came from an agency. He went back @ 4 to find they had almost finished...and almost cleaned him out. They had raided his refrigerator as they worked and ate the pizzas in the freezer, and had loaded up the back of their car with bottles of booze and all the cleaning stuff he had stored in the kitchen (the one area they were not supposed to do because that was where the party was going to be).He called the cops and the manager at the cleaning service. As the cops were taking the report, the cleaning manager was very nervous about the charges. My brother said he would let them drop, "But I better not get a bill for this." So he ended up getting the cleaning done for free. BTW, that brother is a NYC cop, so he's not someone you fool around with.
