HI again ladies! Hope things are going better for you all. Jackie it's so good to hear from you lady. But I am sooooo sorry about your sweet dog. How old was he? It is so very hard to watch them suffer and to make that decision. I've had to do it 3 times with dogs and with 2 cats. The last cat was 20 yrs old bless her. They are just as much a part of our lives as our children. So sorry to hear you're having so many problems with your left side. That stinks. Hopefully your surgery in Jan. will FINALLY get you feeling better. At least you HAVE to stay off the Harley (hopefully LOL) in Jan. and you will have lots of time to heal b4 getting on it again. I miss riding already-sigh!Hope you are healing well from your surgeries girl! Sending healing hugs your way. Have a GREAT time in FL! You deserve it.
Kaloni I hope you're doing well with your job. Melody I hope your hot flashes are subsiding. I've been getting them lately. I hate waking up in the nite and having to change my shirt!! Then I can't get back to sleep. Hope you SO is doing better.
Thank you so much for the thoughts about my Uncle's passing Jackie. He was a great guy. 84 yrs. young. One of my best memories will be stopping to see him and Aunt Bea about a month ago. They were raising h*** while Aunt Bea was fixing breakfast. We were all laughing. They remind me sooo much of my mom and dad. I miss them both so much. Uncle Ross and my dad looked like twins. They both loved to garden and after my dad passed away in '03 every time I drove by Uncle Ross' and I'd see him in his garden bent over I'd toot and he'd stand up and wave. He looked so much like dad I just cried and I felt like I was saying "hi" to my dad. I will miss that. I think I'll go visit Aunt Bea tomorrow. A few of her kids are still at the house and will be taking her home with them to CT. She can't stay by herself. It must be so hard to grieve the love of your life and have to move away from the home you've been in for years. She knows she is loved anyway. She had 5 children, 10 grandkids, and 16 gr. grandkids.
Well ladies. Hope everyone is doing ok. Keep in touch! Miss ya!

Hi Melody, I am here. I have been working and staying quite busy. Yes, my healing is going real well. Thank God. I have a follow up visit with my Plastic surgeon on Nov 21, and they will probably schedule my next surgery. That will be for my new nipple. You know Melody, I don't know if you feel this way or not, but, I just feel so unattractive anymore with all these scars I have. I try to put lotion on them and massage them hoping they will diminish some. Oh well, I guess. I am glad you are doing well except having hotflashes. No fun. I hope they do stop soon. I will pray for you. I think dawn and Jackie are back. Well, I will check in again soon. Have a nice day. Bye.
God Bless,
Kaloni

Good Evening ladies!
Hi Dawn, My Boxer was 13 years old, pretty old for that breed. We knew it was coming, but it is still a hard thing to do. I have no more animals now, I can't do it anymore, it's too heart breaking. Yes, I figured that in the dead of winter in January, would be a good time to be laid up, not alot to do.Will have lots of time to heal! And wouldn't cut into my riding season! We just washed the bikes today, getting them ready to park in my Dad's garage for the winter. We went for a small ride yesterday, had long johns and chaps on! I miss it already too!
Keep your memories close to your heart girl. I know it must be hard, now especially since your Aunt will be moving to be with her children. At least she won't be lonely, and will be taken care of, you know? Maybe you could plant something in your garden in honor of him.
Kaloni, I am so glad you are doing well, and the new job is keeping you busy, that is a good thing. So you are getting the nipples done, eh? I am still trying to decide if I will just get the 3-D tattoo's or get them put on. I will have to check with you after your surgery. And remember, all those scars are your badges of courage my friend. They make you that much more beautiful! I know, after all these surgeries I have had now, I am starting to look like a bad science experiment! But I know what counts is on the inside, and the rest doesn't matter. Your soul is beautiful, your spirit is beautiful, and you are beautiful!!
Melody, I hope the hot flashes subside soon for you. I started having them like crazy a few months ago, after starting the Herceptin, which put me into instant menopause. But they seemed to have calmed down a little now. I still sleep with a fan blowing on me all night! How are you feeling otherwise?
Well, I will check back in before we leave Saturday for Florida. I hope you all have sweet dreams tonight, I say prayers everynight for you. Love you all, Jackie
-
Hi ladies. I'm back again checking up on all of you. Kaloni I am so glad that things are moving along for you and that you are working again. I hope all goes well with your surgery for your nipple. Try to keep that chin up and a smile on your face. Don't worry about the scars. Like Jackie says they are badges of courage-every inch of them! I know mine are ugly right now but I keep putting cocoa butter on them and Bio-Oil. I don't care if they don't go away. I know they are there for a reason-not the same as yours, but nonetheless, they remind me of the awful pain I used to have in my shoulders, neck and back. Now between my horrible looking stomach with really gross stretch marks from 3 kids and 2 c-sections kind of matches my girls. DH says they are all battle scars and he loves every one of them. You are a hero Kaloni in my eyes. You are going to look back on this someday and realize just how much all of you are so amazing to fight this and win!!! I pray for all of you every day and send lots of healing hugs.
I seem to be going thru my changes now. I wake up everynite with the sweats. I guess getting rid of TOM will be worth the trouble.
Jackie, I will try not to remind you of your sweet baby after this. I just have to say DD has a Boxer-Keegan. She's 4 now and the love of her life. She doesn't have a boyfriend, but this dog takes up her whole heart and DH's and mine too. She is like a grandchild to us. She is so smart. So loving. So loyal. So fun to have around. When DD is not going to be home DH stops on his way home from work and she stays with Grammy and Poppy LOL!! Yes I love my animals. I have one dog that's 8 and and a kitty that's 1. I love them to pieces and have always had a dog and/or cat. After these two, we say no more. But DH and I worry so about our DD b/c she is so attached to her baby. How can she help it? I've cried over 3 dogs but cannot stand the thought of DD going thru it with this one. Guess it's just part of life, but we will hope Keegan lives a long healthy life. God bless you and your baby. I'm sure it will take time to heal, but I know you've got lots of memories and pictures I'm sure.
Just putting the bike away? You were so brave to go out on it. DH has his in the shop getting winterized and is hoping weather is decent Sat. to pick it up. It's only half hour away, but it's a long cold ride when the weather doesn't cooperate.
Well take care. Got a baby to tend to. Luv ya lots all!!

I bet your Daughter is just totally in Love with Keegan, they are just the best breed I think. So lovable, loyal, like having children! My best to her and Keegan! The bikes are going to sit in the garage until we get back, then hopefuly will be able to ride them over to my dad's. Just need one more half-way decent day.I really hate putting them away, it's depressing! But looking forward to the rally next year, have you thought about it yet? Hey Ladies! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am doing ok, I will see my onc this week and ask him for something for the hot flashes. My SO is recovering slowly. He has to go to pain management. And he has to get some compression stockings.
I got a new kitten! I named her Lilly. She is a maniac! I forgot what it is like to have a kitten! But she is adorable and I know she will climb our Christmas tree! I hope you all are doing fine. Post when you can. xxxMelody
-
Hi Melody! Glad to hear from you. I haven't been on the computer much lately. I've been very busy with the kids I watch and making Christmas gifts. It's sneaking up on us already! I had a great T'day. I ate too much of course. I live for the pumpkin pie.
Your kitten sounds like she's full of it. Make sure you tie your tree. I always do. I got my kitten about a year ago. She never climbed it but did her share of jumping and succeeding at pulling off ornaments. She's sitting on the back of the couch right now staring down a fly on the lamp. Her favorite hobby of course LOL!
I guess you've been busy with SO. I do hope he recuperates soon and is feeling better. I will be thinking of you this week and hoping your dr can provide you with some relief.
Jackie I just read your post and saw the picture of your beautiful baby!!Sooo adorable. Keegan has the same markings on her face just a smaller white area between her eyes. If I can figure how to send you a picture of her I will. Hope all is well with you and everyone else. Take care all. Keepin' the faith...Dawn

Hi Ladies, I am now just trying to read some of your sweet messages here. I have been so busy. My hours are very funny. Well, I went to my plastic surgeon last week, and he says my breast lift is looking good. He is wanting to schedule surgery for January for my new nipple.
I was laying back the other night and felt a small lump under my right breast, where my scar is from the breast lift. Dr Klein said it might just be scar tissue. But, he wants me to keep an eye on it to see whether it gets larger, and if it does he can biopsy it. Boy! I sure hope it is nothing. I do know that my tumor markers are abnormal this time around, and I will be having more blood work done Dec 10. I am a little worried. But, I keep busy and try to keep my stress level at a low. I know worrying will not help me. You know one thing? It never does end. I like to think so, but, in reality, it is there still and I live it everyday. I am so sorry for my stupid rambling here. I guess, I know I can talk to my special lady friends here. Melody, I was reading your message, and you got a kitten. My female cockatiel is named LilySue. That is close. Ha! She is my babygirl. Tweet is my male cockatiel and he is full of it. He is older of 13 years now and still going. He does have a personality of his own for sure. They are my medicine. I would not trade them in for anything. Dawn and Jackie, I am still getting to reading your sweet messages too. I am a slow reader for sure. My bad! I will get to them soon. I just hope your all doing well. I am just starting to get in the Christmas spirit a little, and bought a couple things the other night. Me and Mike are putting up a real tree this year. It will be nice. I think on Sunday I will take my decorations out. It will really get me in the Christmas spirit. Well. my ladies I am going to go for now, and just know I think about you. I will check back soon. Bye.
God Bless,
Kaloni

Hi ladies! Good to hear from you. Dawn , glad to hear you had a great Thanksgiving. Me too. I ate to much too! It wouldn't be so bad if it was one day of it , but noooo , its days of leftovers that I can't refuse.lol Boy , I bet those little ones keep you busy. They are probably so excited that Christmas is coming. Remind them they have to be good , Santa is watching. I loved having that little extra at Christmastime when my son was little.
I have been using a squirt bottle on Lilly when she gets in the tree. I think she thinks it a game
!
Hi Kaloni , I hope all is well with you. I bet that bump is something to do with your scar. Its just so hard for us not to think its "something" with every bump , ache or pain. You are in my prayers.xxxx
Your birds sound so sweet. I love birds. What would we do without of furry , feathery friends!?! A live tree! They smell so wonderful. I miss that.
Well ladies , have a great , relaxing weekend. xxx Melody

Hello there! I am so sorry I am behind here sweeties. I do not know if I am coming or going! LOL. I know I have been so busy with work. And it is alot of enjoyment. Well, Christmas is getting closer and I have my beautiful tree up. But, I am not even close to being done with my shopping. LOL. I wait until the last minute it seems. I have got a few things. It was so cold here yesterday and today. About time! It makes it seem more like a wintery Christmas when it is cold. I even made my bean, carrotts and ham soup. Yum. Well, I sure hope you are doing well and I think of you everyday. I will let you sweeties know how my bloodwork goes when I call them. I been putting that off on purpose. I will check back soon. Bye.

Merry Christmas one day late Kaloni and all you sweet souls. I know Santa must have good to all of you! What a wondeful day it was yesterday. We should have more days-minus the craziness LOL-like Christmas just for the beauty and meaning of it.
I just got a new computer for DH and I and am just getting all my bookmarks set. I panicked and thought I'd lost my info for this site, but alas I finally dug it out of the bottom of a very dusty basket. I HAVE to get more organized on my desk top. We got a Mac and it's WONDERFUL, but it sure cleared a lot of space out for us. Now I have no excuse not to organize.
Hope everyone is well and had a beautiful holiday. Happy New Year All!!! -
Hi Ladies! Hope your Christmas was great. Mine was wonderful. I got my port out yesterday. Yeah! I only have to work the day after New Years and then I'm off again until the following Mon. I really needed this time off.
Does anyone have big plans for New Years eve? We are staying home , will watch the ball fall and pray for a better year for everyone. Take care ladies. Happy New Year!
Kaloni , how did your blood work turn out? I hope all is well. xxxx Melody

Hi Kaloni! So good to hear from you. Hope you had a great Easter. I went to Tennessee to visit my family. My son went with me. We had a great time. The week just went to fast. My sister wants me to move there so badly. But there is not alot of work in that area. Maybe some where down the road... Hope all is well. Yes , come back and tell us about your latest happenings.xxxx Melody
-
Hi there Melody, I am so glad to hear from you. Yes, my Easter was nice. My Mom came over, and we went out to lunch. It was nice. Yes, Tennessee is just beautiful. It would be nice to retire there. Yes, I am doing good, and staying so busy. I can not keep up. I am having a Hysterectomy done on May 1st. The doctors suggest this for me, since the Ovarian Cancer runs in the family, as well. And, I am not looking forward to this. I am scared to death! But, I know it will be for the best. I will have to take 4 weeks off at least to recover. I guess, I need to just stay strong. So, on April 11th, I have my Pre-Op visit at Lee Moffitt where I get treated. Other than that, everything is doing very well. I feel normal again. My hair is curly and full. I am trying to grow it long again. I sure miss it. Well, Melody it is always so nice to hear from you. Dawn and Jackie, I guess have been busy with life's challenges. I am just going to have to send them a little hello. I hope you have a wonderful day, and your always in my prayers. Bye!
Love & God Bless,
Kaloni
-
Hello again. Well, it is getting closer for me. Yes, I will be having all the female parts taken out on May 1. Oh Boy! Now, this has got me scared to death. Knowing I will never have that option of having children. I do not see it anyway at 41 years old. After having my Breastcancer, all my doctors suggest I have this done to prevent any Ovarian, Uterine or Cervical Cancers to rise. Which I do have a family history of, as well. It is just this that I have to do, and just continue living beyond my Cancer. I still hold on to my faith and hope and keep a positive outlook on life. Please, keep me in your pockets, and pray for me. I think I may need them. I will check back in on May 1 very early. Bye.
God Bless,
Kaloni

Hi Kaloni! So good to hear from you. I'm sorry you have to once again , have surgery. That really sucks. But it is for the best. Sorry you won't be able to have a child. Other than that , you seem to be doing well. I am so glad. You're hair sounds like it is getting lovely. You are such a beautiful lady , I'm sure you look fabulous. I will definately keep you in my prayers. Positive thoughts being sent your way. Take care Kaloni. Stop on over at the "please help" thread the sueps started. We'd love to have you there. God Bless , Melody

-
Hi Sweetie, Thank You for keeping this thread going. Your messages are so sweet. Yes, I am doing well so far. I did have alot of cramping and gas before. And, I started bleeding some. The nurse said, I am trying to do to much too soon. She said, I need to stay off my feet as much as possible and rest. I do tend to push things a little. So, I stayed on my lovely couch today. And, I am heading back over there in just a minute.Ha! Melody, I was wondering how you post the pictures on this board? They are beautiful. Well, I hope your doing well. I think about you and all my breastcancer sisters here all the time. Well, have a lovely night. Take Care.
God Bless You,
Love,
Kaloni
