May today there be peace within.
May you trust your highest power that
you are exactly where you were ment to be.
May you not forget the infinite possebilities
that are born of faith.May you use those gifts
that you have received and pass on the love that
has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child
of God.Let this pressence settle into our
bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing,
praise and love.
It is there for each and everyone of you.
Amen
Rest in peace dear Fighter LU~
Carrie -
Carrie, thank you for posting this prayer that had originally been posted by Lu. It's a fitting tribute to one so well respected and loved and a message from Lu to those of us still fighting this. Our spirit lives on when we are gone. To repeat this prayer is to send her home in peace and love.
-
Dear Carrie and all:
Thank you so for posting
this.. I so much think always
of Lu when seeing this
prayer
Lu would want us to
move forward. She has
so inspired all of us.
Blessings to all this day. -
Dear Carrie
Thank you
for posting
this beautiful prayer
I join you
Sierra ~~Sherry
and all of our
board sisters
in prayer today
I have this
special poem
on a card...I think
Lu would have wanted
us to remember her this way
with love
to all of you
Patti
AFTER GLOW
I'd like the memory
of me to be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave
an echo whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun
of happy memories
that I leave when life is done. -
Oh Patti. That brings tears to my eyes. I think that's the way we should all be remembered. I'm saving this right now. Why is it that it takes something as deeply moving as losing a sister to this battle for us to reach into the depths of ourselves? I know that many of us do this all the time, this just shows us we can still reach deeper. And there is another gift...that someone has left us ... the gentle reminder of what we can still do while we have the opportunity.
-
Your words
are so true
about reaching deeper
Sherry..You always do
and I thank you for that
from the bottom of my heart~

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.
St. Ignatius of Loyola
May your day
be blessed with
all that is good
my dear friends

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness, she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah
Ther will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Hugs,
Carrie -

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that shell come back
or you can open your eyes and see all shes left.
Your heart can be empty because you cant see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that shes gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back
or you can do what shed want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Thank you Carrie. Reading this has made me realize how close I am still to those who are no longer physically with me, but are with me in every other way.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.
O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen. -
Today was my sons First Holy Communion and my daughter was an alter server. It was a very special day as they have been through a lot these last 12 months but have been very strong for me.

-
Debbie, thank you for sharing this photo! You have a very beautiful family and these are the things that make me feel so hopeful and so positive about this experience we're all sharing. To see families and the life experiences, milestones, etc. is so heart-warming. When I see the children, what they've all had to go through, how it has changed their worlds at such a young age, but what learning there is in that, it fills my heart.
Enjoy those babies..they are precious! -
Debbie how wonderful~
A poem for your son on this day of his First Holy Communion
A First Communion Blessing
May you always feel
as close to Jesus
as you do today,
May you always count on Him
to gently guide you
on your way...
May you always trust in God
to answer every single prayer,
May you always
feel Him blessing you
with tender, loving care.
Jesus Calls
"My child,
Come give thy heart to Me."
I hear His call ~ ~
"Oh Lord,
On First Communion Day ~
I give Thee all."

Glory be to the Father
and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen
Most High, all-powerful, all-good Lord, All praise is Yours, all glory, all honor and all blessings. To you alone, Most High, do they belong, and no mortal lips are worthy to pronounce Your Name.
Praised be You my Lord with all Your creatures, especially Sir Brother Sun, Who is the day through whom You give us light. And he is beautiful and radiant with great splendour, Of You Most High, he bears the likeness.
Praised be You, my Lord, through Sister Moon and the stars, in the heavens you have made them bright, precious and fair.
Praised be You, my Lord, through Brothers Wind and Air, And fair and stormy, all weather's moods, by which You cherish all that You have made.
Praised be You my Lord through Sister Water, So useful, humble, precious and pure.
Praised be You my Lord through Brother Fire, through whom You light the night and he is beautiful and playful and robust and strong.
Praised be You my Lord through our Sister, Mother Earth who sustains and governs us, producing varied fruits with coloured flowers and herbs. Praise be You my Lord through those who grant pardon for love of You and bear sickness and trial. Blessed are those who endure in peace, By You Most High.
Praised be You, my Lord through Sister Death, from whom no-one living can escape. Woe to those who die in mortal sin! Blessed are they She finds doing Your Will. No second death can do them harm. Praise and bless my Lord and give Him thanks, And serve Him with great humility.
canticle of brother sun and sister moon - st. francis of assisi
Dear Lord,
I may not see the sun and moon lose their light.
I may not witness rivers turn red, or stars fall from the sky.
Yet there are times when my world becomes unhinged
and the foundations of what I believe crack and dissolve.
Give me the grace to believe that Your power is at work
in the turmoil of my life.
Lead me to remember that Your power is greater than all evil,
and though the world may rock and sometimes break,
it will in time be transformed by Your Love. Amen
Hugs,
Carrie -
Debbie thank you
for sharing your
beautiful family with
us...........
Do not look forward in fear to the changes of life;
Rather look to them with full hope that as they arise,
God, whose very own you are, will lead you safely
through all things;
And when you cannot stand it, God will carry you
in His arms.
Do not fear what may happen tomorrow;
The same everlasting Father who cares for you today
will take care of you today and every day.
He will either shield you from suffering or will give you
unfailing strength to bear it.
Be at peace and put aside all anxious thoughts and
imaginations.

Again, I say to you,
if two of you agree on earth
about anything for which they are to pray,
it shall be granted to them
by my heavenly Father.
For where two or three
are gathered together in my name,
there am I in the midst of them". (Matthew 18:18-20)

"I shall pass through this world but once.
Any good that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show
to any human being,
let me do it now,
let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.
Amen."

Look at the geese of the sky: they neither worry nor are anxious about the winter warnings of their lives, for they know within their deepest selves that their journey will take them to a place of shelter, of comfort, of nourishment, a place where winter harshness cannot reach them. See how they fly, winging homeward with sureness, with trust in their hearts instinct. If these geese, who have not the faith and grace of human hearts, can follow the mystery and secrets of their deepest selves, cannot you, my loved and chosen ones, you whom I care for as my very own; cannot you be in touch with the mystery of your hearts? Cannot you trust in Me to guide you on your journey of life? For I have promised to give you rest in seasons of tiredness, comfort in seasons of sorrow, peace in seasons of distress, strength in seasons of great weakness. Trust in me. Do not be afraid. I am with you. I will be your peace.

"People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;

Poem by Saint Theresa

Canticle to the Holy Face
Dear Jesus! 'tis Thy Holy Face
Is here the start that guides my way;
They countenance, so full of grace,
Is heaven on earth, for me, today.
And love finds holy charms for me
In Thy sweet eyes with tear-drops wet;
Through mine own tears I smile at Thee,
And in Thy griefs my pains forget.
How gladly would I live unknown,
Thus to console Thy aching heart.
Thy veiled beauty, it is shown
To those who live from earth apart.
I long to fly to Thee alone!
Thy Face is now my fatherland,
The radiant sunshine of my days,
My realm of love, my sunlit land,
Where, all life long, I sing Thy praise;
It is the lily of the vale,
Whose mystic perfume, freely given,
Brings comfort, when I faint and fail,
And makes me taste the peace of heaven.
Thy face, in its unearthly grace,
Is like the divinest myrrh to me,
That on my heart I gladly place;
It is my lyre of melody;
My rest - my comfort - is Thy Face.
My only wealth, Lord! is thy Face;
I ask naught else than this from Thee;
Hid in the secret of that Face,
The more I shall resemble Thee!
Oh, leave on me some impress faint
Of Thy sweet, humble, patient Face,
And soon I shall become a saint,
And draw men to Thy saving grace.
So, in the secret of Thy Face,
Oh! hide me, hide me, Jesus blest!
There let me find its hidden grace,
Its holy fires, and, in heaven's rest,
Its rapturous kiss, in Thy embrace! -

Lord,
grant that I may always
allow myself to be guided by you,
follow your plans and
perfectly accomplish your holy will.
Grant that in all things,
great and small,
today and all the days of my life,
I may do whatever you require me.
Help me to respond
to the slightest prompting of your grace;
so that I may be
your trustworthy instrument, for your Honor.
May your will be done;
in time & eternity--by me,
in me, and through me.
Amen
-Prayer of St. Teresa of Avila
In my journal,
I inscribe the names of particular people
whom I love.
I remember also,
those whose love has healed me
in countless ways.
My remembrance of each of these dear ones
becomes a silent prayer within my heart.

Ave Maria!
Maiden mild!
Oh listen to a maiden's prayer
For thou canst hear amid the wild
'Tis thou 'tis thou canst save amid despair
We slumber safely till the morrow
Though we've by man outcast reviled
Oh Maiden see a maiden's sorrow
Oh Mother hear a suppliant child!
Ave Maria
Ave Maria gratia plena
Maria gratia plena
Maria gratia plena
Ave ave dominus
Dominus tecum
The murky cavern's air so heavy
Shall breathe of balm if thou hast smiled
Oh, Maiden, hear a maiden pleadin'
Oh, Mother, hear a suppliant child
Ave Maria
Ave Maria

Gratia plena
