I was regretting the past and fearing the future.
Suddenly my Lord was speaking: "My name is I am."
    He paused.
    I waited.

He continued, "When you live in the past with its mistakes and regrets, it is hard.
    I am not there.
My name is not I WAS.

When you live in the future, with its problems and fears, it is hard.
    I am not there.
My name is not I WILL BE.

When you live in this moment, it is not hard.
    I am here.
    My name is I AM."

    We believe in God,
    the Father,
    the Almighty,
    maker of heaven and earth,
    and all that is seen
    and unseen.

    Heavenly Father,
    in my present need,
    help me to believe
that you are aware of my anxiety
and will do what is best for me.
Give me the strength to trust you
and put the present and future in your hands.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen. -Author Unknown

    FORTIFY me with the grace
    of Your Holy Spirit
    and give Your peace
    to my soul
    that I may be free
    from all needless
    anxiety and worry.

    Help me to desire always
    that
which is pleasing and acceptable to You
so that Your will may be my will.

    Do not look forward in fear to the changes of life;

Rather look to them with full hope that as they arise,
God, whose very own you are, will lead you safely
    through all things;

And when you cannot stand it, God will carry you
    in His arms.

    Do not fear what may happen tomorrow;

The same everlasting Father who cares for you today
will take care of you today and every day.

He will either shield you from suffering or will give you
    unfailing strength to bear it.

Be at peace and put aside all anxious thoughts and
    imaginations.

    St. Francis de Sales

    and light
    follow you

    and good vibes

go out to you this fine

    morning

    “St Patrick’s Breastplate”

    I bind unto myself today

The power of God to hold and lead,

His eye to watch, his might to stay,

His ear to hearken to my need.

The wisdom of my God to teach,

    His hand to guide, his shield to ward;

The word of God to give me speech,

His heavenly host to be my guard.

Christ be with me, Christ within me,

Christ behind me, Christ before me,

Christ beside me, Christ to win me,

relatives and those I care deeply for who
are reading this right now. Show them
a new revelation of Your! love and power.
Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to
their spirit at this very moment.

and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release
a renewed confidence through Your grace.
Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs.

    St. Theresa's Prayer

May today there be peace within.

May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing you are a child of God.

Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of you.

The simple act of stopping and

looking at the beauty around us can be prayer.

As I open my eyes from sleep,
help me to see you in everyone and
    everything I encounter today.
I stand before you this day
unaware of your will for me.
Lead me to opportunities where I can embrace
    the challenge to serve you.
Give me the strength to accept those opportunities
with a loving heart and an outstretched hand.
Be with me, through the obstacles, frustrations,
and rewards that this day will hold.
And give me the wisdom to find peace,
    even amidst chaos.
May the morning air bring life to my body
and joy to my soul. Amen.

His beauty is stamped in all of creation:
The glory of God can be seen
    from the smallest raindrop
    to the mighty flash of lightning;
    from the tiny rosebud
    to the huge magnolia blossom;
from the rich, fertile soil of the Mississippi Delta
to the arid, dusty land of the desert.
We can see His stamp of glory in all the world,
from the music of a sparkling brook
    to the majestic tumbling waterfall;
from the gnarled, gentle hands of a loving grandfather
    to the birth-fresh fragility of a baby’s fingernail;
    from the silence of the stars to the peal of thunder;
from the mirror-like smoothness of a placid lake
to the wind-driven thunderous waves smashing on the shore.

May the light of your soul guide you.

May the light of your soul bless the work you do

with the secret love and warmth of your heart.

May you see in what you do the beauty of your own soul.

May the sacredness of your work bring healing,

light and renewal to those who work with you

and to those who see and receive your work.

May your work never weary you.

May it release within you wellsprings of refreshment,

    inspiration, and excitement.

May you be present in what you do.

May you never become lost in the bland absences.

    May the day never burden.

May dawn find you awake and alert,

approaching your new day with dreams, possibilities, and promises.

May evening find you gracious and fulfilled.

May you go into the night blessed sheltered, and protected.

May your soul calm, console, and renew you.

St. George; Second Sunday of Easter ~

We all have some "dragon" we have to conquer. It might be pride, or anger, or laziness, or greediness, or something else. Let us make sure we fight against these "dragons", with God's help. Then we can call ourselves real soldiers of Christ. .

    image

He was a soldier in the army of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, and he was one of the Emperor's favorite soldiers. Now Diocletian was a pagan and a bitter enemy to the Christians. He put to death every Christian he could find. George was a brave Christian, a real soldier of Christ. Without fear, he went to the Emperor and sternly scolded him for being so cruel. Then he gave up his position in the Roman army. For this he was tortured in many terrible ways and finally beheaded.

So boldly daring and so cheerful was St. George in declaring his Faith and in dying for it that Christians felt courage when they heard about it. Many songs and poems were written about this martyr. Soldiers, especially, have always been devoted to him.

"Man is not the owner of life
but the custodian and caretaker," Pope Benedict XVI

Be not afraid~~~ Pope John Paul II

    FOR OUR WORLD
    We need to stop.
    Just stop.
    Stop for a moment.
    Before anybody
    Says or does anything
    That may hurt anyone else.
    We need to be silent.
    Just silent.
    Silent for a moment.
    Before we forever lose
    The blessing of songs
    That grow in our hearts.
    We need to notice.
    Just notice.
    Notice for a moment.
    Before the future slips away
Into ashes and dust of humility.
    Stop, be silent, and notice.
In so many ways, we are the same.
    Our differences are unique treasures.
We have, we are, a mosaic of gifts
To nurture, to offer, to accept.
    We need to be.
    Just be.
    Be for a moment.
Kind and gentle, innocent and trusting,
    Like children and lambs,
    Never judging or vengeful
    Like the judging and vengeful.
    And now, let us pray,
    Differently, yet together,
Before there is no earth, no life,
    No chance for peace.

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life.

O Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, you are the refuge of sinners, the health of the sick, and the comfort of the afflicted. You know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings. By your appearance at the Grotto of Lourdes you made it a privileged sanctuary where your favors are given to people streaming to it from the whole world. Over the years countless sufferers have obtained the cure for their infirmities -- whether of soul, mind, or body. Therefore I come to you with limitless confidence to implore your motherly intercession. Obtain, O loving Mother, the grant of my requests. Through gratitude for Your favors, I will endeavor to imitate Your virtues, that I may one day share in Your glory.
    Amen.

I sit and watch from my window,
As the stars come out at night,
Sparkling against a black velvet sky
    Filling the world with light.

I sit and watch, and I wonder,
    How can this miracle be?
The light from the sun has gone
Then this magic performance we see.

    Somewhere high in the Heavens,
God's hand is changing the view.
I bow to His mighty power
The wondrous things He can do.

I sit and watch from my window,
    God's beautiful work I survey;
My soul is touched by His presence
When night welcomes the end of the day.

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to You in this time of illness.

O dearest Comforter of the Troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.

Dear God, we place our worries in Your Hands. We place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant to health again.

Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your Holy will and know that whatsoever You do, You do for the love of us.
    Amen.
