Dear God, Thank you for giving me the breath of life. Thank you for the air we breathe. Help me to be mindful of every breath I take, inhaling slowly and deeply so that every cell in my body can be enriched and restored by the precious gift of oxygen. As I breathe out, remind me to breathe out also the fear, anger, resentment and other negative emotions that poison my body and spirit. Teach me to breathe, God, so that I might be calm and steady on this difficult journey, and remind me to listen for Your breath as it surrounds me in the wind and the waves and all the rhythms of the earth and sky, that I might be ever mindful of
