Jesus Christ my God,
I adore you
and I thank you for all the graces
you have given me this day.
I offer you my sleep
and all the moments of this night,
and I implore you to keep me safe from sin.
To this end I place myself in your sacred side
and under the mantle of our Lady, my Mother.
Let your holy angels surround me
and keep me in peace;
and let your blessing be upon me.
Amen



The beauty of a sunset is
a splendor to behold,
sometimes the sky's afire
with tints of red and gold.
Then other times it's gentle
like a lovers soft embrace,
enthralling us in grandeur
to be blessed with such a place.


How special are these moments
that nature lets us see,
moments where our spirits
will struggle to be free.
These moments, when they find us,
bring contented inner peace,
moments that we purge ourselves
and give our souls release.

We see how small we really are
next to nature's majestic age,
it grants us humbling moments
when pondering this awesome stage.

This is a union as
day couples with the night,
a dance of perfect harmony,
the joining of darkness with light.
When these two forces come together,
they are more united then when apart,
we stand to learn so much from
this display of divine art.

Embrace the feeling within your heart
when nature opens the door,
for if you do you will find
you are granted so much more.
As Mother Earth prepares for slumber,
it's enough to make one pray,
for the gift of seeing this miracle
again another day....

Prayer for Doctors and Nurses
O merciful Father, who have wonderfully fashioned man in your own image, and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit, sanctify, we pray you, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain. Strengthen them in body and soul, and bless their work, that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation your Son became Man, lived on this earth, healed the sick, and suffered and died on the Cross. Amen.





For Healing

Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to You. Allow your healing hand to heal Our sisters. Touch their souls with Your compassion for others. Touch their hearts with Your courage and infinite love for all. Touch their minds with Your wisdom, that their mouths may always proclaim Your praise. Teach us to reach out to You in our need, and help us to lead others to You by our example. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring our sisters health in body and spirit that they may serve You with their strength. Touch gently this life which You have created, now and forever. Amen.

Dear Jesus, You who have seen the suffering of All humankind, and who suffered the indignities and pain of a cruel crucifixion, have mercy on me. Help me, for the greater glory of Your Father in Heaven, to recover from my distress. Give my doctors the wisdom to use the resources within their power to heal me, and comfort my family in their empathy for me.
