ok... I'll be watching!!! see ya!

Hi, Harley. I'm going back down there from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m....there's the possibility that I could get there, though, and someone else will be there so I won't have to stay. We shall see.
-
G, The leopard print dress sounds GREAT!!!! I have a suede leopard print jacket with brown leather collar and I just LOVE that jacket. I LOVE anything leopard print. Do you have to wear skirts and dresses, or can you wear pants? Enquiring minds need to know.
kes
-
Kes: Your jacket sounds beautiful! I love leopard print too. But when I wear an animal print, I do it in moderation...only one thing with the print and the rest is neutral. I love some of the leopard print shoes that are out...don't own any myself.
I can wear dressy slacks, but none of mine fit and I refuse to buy any in the size I'm at now.
We're out of session today. I have to get ready to go to my sisters...will be back home tomorrow night. I plan on doing NO cleaning for the entire weekend....yet again.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

As promised, here's a link to the shiatsu massager I have. It's called the Shiatsu Master Elite. This link is for a Canadian company, but I'm sure if you are interested and google it, you'll find U.S. links as well. It's an amazing product. I strained my back yesterday carrying something too heavy for too far and it's done the trick!

The good part of a back strain is it gives me a guilt-free excuse to do nothing today.

-
G, Thanks for the link for the Shiatsu massager. I will check it out. Life is too short too clean. I only have time for laundry and packing lunches and ironing clothes. Went to the beach yesterday and went swimming for the first time this year in the lake. It was lovely and warm. A lot warmer than I thought it would be. A BBQ after at the park and ice cream of course. A beautiful last day of summer.

We are having some friends over tonight for dinner. They are a coworker of my dh's.
So, I had to clean today. Please don't kick me off this thread!! I put a lot of 'stuff' away in a drawer, to be dealt with later... just paperwork and stuff. Is that ok?? If I keep some areas messy, and my walk in closet is a HUGE mess, because I threw all my clothes in there!
Harley
-
Harley: You're good....I have drawers and boxes filled with stuff that I've had to quickly hide when people were coming over. We've all gotta do what we've gotta do. Thank God for closet doors.
Kes: Sounds like you had a beautiful day yesterday. Enjoy the last of the warm weather. I've heard it's going to be a bad winter...but it seems "they" always say that.
-
Time to switch closets~~~that means the hall railing is filling up with white clothes, many never worn this long and painful summer!
I was looking at ScanSnaps online; apparently you can just scan ALL your papers, cards, and photos in there. They say you only look at maybe 10% of those papers, clippings, old magazines again. I have almost stopped tearing out recipes...................
-
Hmmm. Never heard of ScanSnaps...I'll have to take a look at it, Pansy. Thanks for the tip! And welcome to the thread. Anyone who hangs their wardrobe on the hall railing all summer will be a perfect fit.
(Sorry you had a painful summer though.) -
Patrice,
WHEW!! That is good to know... I think I fit in here very well, since even when I DO clean, I have to hide stuff in drawers and closets... I have run out of hiding places, though.Hanging clothes on the hall railing is getting kind of inventive... but, I don't even HAVE a hall railing!!!
Harley
-
Me either harley! And no light sconces strong enough. I do remember hanging dh's shirts for his morning departure on the fridge handles and stove handle one time! Then again, that was to keep from waking him at night when I finished laundery!

What is ScanSnaps?
-
Hmm... My dh hangs his sweaty work out clothes (including his underwear!
) all over the house!! It is very annoying, so sometimes, I just run a load of sweaty clothes and other 'whites' in the washer, so I won't have to see them hanging everywhere!! -
Boy I had a hard time finding this thread for a moment. Today will be the day. After many months of procrastinating - I WILL CLEAN MY CLOSETS! I think lol.

That's be/c all of you are cleaning, aren't you? Come on ladies? Confess! This is Harley's fault for starting the straightening up when her company was coming....Now it's SPREADING!!!!!!!! Oh man! I was going to hold out...but it's man...I need to get decluttered before winter, or I'll burn it down! Someone stop me, PLEASE! There's too much to clean and if I start, where will it end? Oh no! HELP! I'm falling off the wagon here ladies....
Nicki, you can't clean, till you get the okay from the higher ups!

-
Wish: Hahaha does that mean I dont have to do it today. I dont wanna!
Nicki
-
That MOST certainly does Nicki! Without permission, you could be banned from here! You (we) can NOT have that dear lady! IT would tilt the BC world on edge and we'd all fall into that big abyss of a cleaning age, that we'd never, ever recovery from! Worse than financial ruin, my dear.....much worse....cleanliness is NOT next to ...well, you know
Rest dear...relax...grab a glass of Tall Iced ________ insert your fav and join me under the arbor for some idle chit chat...gossip, what ever!
You have my permission to do that, untill you hear from those higher in power than us!

-
If those of you who are cleaning don't stop immediately, you're going to make the rest of us pigs look bad.
I love playing the guilt card. I wonder if it'll work.
-
Hm....that wasn't TOO awfully hard. Maybe something with a bit more OOOPpppppppphhhhhhh! Try again dear!

I was wondering when I saw your post...NO worried when I saw! LOL what you would have to say.....she sounds like she's teetering, so give her that big push back to our side, Pretty please? I really don't want anyone to tilt this world of ours and cause to all become susiehomemakers
Or worse! That parolee! What's her name? -
Ok OK it worked already. Just woke up from a nice nap! The closets will wait til tomorrow. That pile of old shoes on the floor doesnt look that bad after all.
Nicki
-
Thanks Nicki! You are now, in good standing once again and the world is right and no longer in danger of that tilt-a-world fear!
-
Wish,
HEY! I am NOT taking the blame for ANY of you who take it upon yourselves to CLEAN!! NO!!
I asked Patrice's permission to clean, and just so you know, I have a HUGE pile of clothes to:sort through and decide whether to :
a. iron them and hang them upb. wash them, so they won't need to be ironed...
c. just hang them up, wrinkles and all!
d. just leave them lay in the corner of my bedroom, where all the other clothes and odds and ends are, that I don't know what to do with them...
-
Harley: Hahaha I have chosen #3.
Nicki
-
Okay...color me stupid, but did you just choose #3 from a list of A, B, C, or D? ROFL I had to think about that one and honey..you do NOT me thinking....it just goes down hill from the start line!

-
.... ok... C, it is! I'll just hang them up, wrinkles and all!!
-
Oh heck! Do I have to do that! I just threw his tshirts over the back of the chair in the bedroom HE took them out of the drier with the whites and threw them in the basket with the rest instead of hanging them up when I was gone. So when I found them (mind you this was their second washing b/c they were too wrinkled to wear from being in his bag over the week, although they were clean). So, I said screw it! Threw them over the back of the chair to hang there, untill HE does something them! I'm giving them a month, then they're going in the trash!
Hm....can you follow that? Perhaps it's my horrible mood today, but my tolerance level (aka... GIVE A SH*T factor) is at 0 today! I just don't, do NOT care!
Mood is....Don't give two hoots and a holler! -
WHOA!!!! I have some 'splainin' to do! The white clothes are in limbo on the way to the "Other" closet, where fall/winter presently reside. The white clothes are being brought out of my bedroom closet ( or washed and ironed, a lengthy process!) and laid over the railing until there is room for them in the other closet. Meanwhile, other clothing items are being reassessed, i.e. can I give this away yet?
Meanwhile, the fall/winter clothes have to be tried on, but that should wait till I have my new front, right? I hope the retain my title as the Queen of Procrastination"........

-
I need to clarify...Harley has my permission to hide things...not to do a thorough cleaning.
Wish: If you're anything like me, the way I throw clothes out is to put them in garbage bags and then the garbage bags hang around for a couple years so we can trip over them.
I'm working today...(and possibly tomorrow...CRAP!) gotta run. Hope you all have a good weekend.
-
Uhm...Patrice? Did you forget the wardrobe, or just forget to fill us in? I'm hoping you'll post your schedule.....it is truly too boring to watch allllllll day and still miss your appearance dear lady!

And yes....I've done that, when he had 20+ jeans (old, and either didn't fit, were unfit or just didn't like) stacked in the corner of the closet. I finally cleaned it (this was years ago). Put them in the basement in a large bag, and then about 2 years later, threw it out while cleaning (actually had him carry it up) saying it trash, I'd tied it really good and told him it was old daycare blankets! LOL He actually carried them to the trash bin!

-
Hi, Wish. I don't think I'll be going to the floor today or tomorrow...but if that changes, I'll let you know. I'm wearing a longish black floral skirt with a short black jacket and tank. I'm late!
