    Spar,

Patrice works in D.C., and appears on CSPAN2 regularly, so we who lead such very boring lives watch to try to see her when she is on camera.  It is a fun game that we play.  I wish we could all meet somewhere, though.  It would be so much fun!!

How are you doing?  I have been working alot, so haven't really had a chance to catch up on all the threads...

    Love ya,

    Harley

I'm breathing a temporary sigh of relief as the forecasts for ike say it's going north.  Unfortunately, it's heading for houston now.  Well, I have lots of clean laundry now.  Clean underwear and I even washed a bunch of sheets.  Nothing like a hurricane to light a fire under your butt.

G,  The grey shift dress sounds great. Sounds so very Jackie O. I bet that you look great. The shorts are 1 size bigger than last summer and I had to buy new pants last week that were 1 size larger than last year also. That last 10 lbs is tough to get off. May need to get my jaws wired shut. I wonder if you can put a chocolate sundae through the blender? LOL LOL LOL.!!!!!!!!!

When we meet I will be the one with the jaws wired shut. I can still have a drink with a straw though.

Althea, Glad to hear the you are O.K. Hopefully Sue in Texas will be O.K.

Surely they can make a smoothie out of a sundae! I do it manually every time I eat one!  Just like when I was a kid, kerry! :D

So, what's the schedule today Patrice?  I'll have to even see if we get C-SPAN2. or ONE for that matter!  Geepers, I NEVER watch tv as it is!  Only when dh's home and then only what he wants. I've got my back to at the puter listening! :D

Hope everyone stays away from the mop and in good moods today ladies! :D

Thanks for the compliments on the outfits, KES.  I think they sound better than they look on me. I'm impressed and envious that you are on the "last 10" pounds.  I'm still on the last "30 to 40" pounds.

Hanna:  That belt wasn't around my waist.  They don't make belts that big.  My BMI is bigger than your BMI....and the B in that can stand for Body or Butt...you pick...mine's bigger.

Wish:  I'm supposed to be down there from 11:00 until 12:00 today.  Fridays are always an unknown.  We generally have short days as people need to catch planes to fly back to their states.  So I'll have to let you know what's up with my schedule today once the day starts.

Harley:  I'm wearing a cream skirt and long cream cardigan...the cardigan and tank both have cocoa colored suede trim.  The long cardigan is so no one can see that my skirt is only a third way of the zipped up.  It's 3 sizes smaller than what I wear now.  I'm not kidding.   Thank God for A-line skirts.  LOL.

    I'm LATE!!!!

Be watching for you at 11 then! I do get it!  It's not on the daily listings, but I get it! Weird charter anyway!  Hate their programming listings, they're always wrong!

    Patrice,

You look very professional, and if you have a jacket or a long sweater over the skirt, it doesn't matter if it's not zipped all the way!!!

I have to work, so I probably won't see you today, either.  This is really getting old!  I am a sap, because someone called me today, to say she isn't feeling well, so could I work today for her??  I couldn't say no....  Maybe I'll say I gotta leave at 4:00 or something...

G,  The outfit today sounds great. I would love to see your clothes closet as all of your outfits sound wonderful. I love clothes!!!!! and shoes, and purses, and coats and watches and spending money, oh and jewellery too!!!! My POOR DH. I think that you could change your avatar daily with each outfit and call it " Patrice's What To Wear". We could take fashion tips from you.Day off today and only 1 appointment. Don't know what I am wearing yet.

Harley, Did you get a new job? You are working soo much. What are you wearing to work?

Wish, When I get my jaws wired shut I will have to be inventive with foods that can go in the blender. I wonder how a Big Mac would look after it was put through the blender? (Just kidding) No wires for me. But my clothes in my closet range from a size 8 up to a size 16. I look at the size 8 stuff and I keep on wishing and dreaming. LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!!

    kes,

I am still working at that expensive boutique, and it seems that every week, something comes up and I have to work longer hours than I have been scheduled.  However, business has slowed way down, and they called me today to tell me they won't need me today.  Also, they won't need me for THREE days next week; they will only need me for ONE day.  I haven't been working WHOLE days, just part of the day, like 12:00 to 6:00, but even so, that is a LONG day!!  I usually wear these clothes that look like what they sell in the store, only I get them at Belks, the dept. store, since it is cheaper there.  ; - )    Today, I got dressed for work before they called, so I am wearing a pair of shorts with a little striped t shirt.  I only have a few outfits, but I change them out and wear them over and over again.

    gsg,

Yes, your clothes always sound so pretty, I wish I had clothes like that!!  I still haven't seen you.

I worked for state government in my previous life and I did all the hair primping and nice clothes routine.  One time I saw my neighbor's aunt and uncle at the state office building.  I knew these people pretty well by that time, but they always saw me on weekends or after work when I'd be in house remodeling or landscaping mode.  They didn't recognize me in my work duds.  lol  Don't miss those days at all.  A lot of work goes into an office wardrobe.  Then there's the dang job to get done.  You rock patrice.

I had a limp rag day today.   I've rallied all this week with hurricane preparations.  I did a bunch of pruning in my yard and my mom's yard.  Cleared hers and my porches and patios.  Did some shopping, which went pretty well, actually, but there's such a frenzy in the air, it's practically tangible.  Today I was so tired I literally couldn't get up and going until late afternoon.  As you all know, this kind of tired is beyond tired, beyond fatigue.  I feel like there's nothing left of me.

After all that rest, I feel better now.  My area is still facing tropical storm force winds.  Crossing my fingers the power stays on.  My priority at this moment to bake some cookies!  lol  Gotta have some comfort food in a power outage.

    Althea,

Sorry you have been feeling so tired... I have been feeling fatigue also, but not from being so busy, as you were.  But, the dr. have me a B-12 shot on Tuesday, and today was the first day I didn't WAKE up feeling drained.  Maybe it's helping, I dunno.

Hope you are feeling better today, and stay out of Ike's way!!

Thanks harley.  Ike totally clobbered houston instead of coming near me.  No rain and not even any wind at my place.  I am very relieved and tremendously grateful.  I'm worried about Sue, though.  I hope she's ok.

Wish & Harley:  I just looked up Sue's name and she last posted on September 12th.  Also, Wish, thanks so much for your sweet post in my passion thread.  I just now saw it.  I need to post some more pictures in there, but it probably won't happen today.  Have a lot of work to do all day...not cleaning though (that's a given).  The work I do sometimes on the side to help some friends out.

Althea, very relieved the hurricane missed you.  It's horrendous looking at the pictures of the devastation.  Feel so bad for the people in Texas who have been affected.  Hope you continue to feel better.

Harley:  If you still want to try to see me, I'll post my schedule this coming week.  I can't remember what it is right now, although I do know I'm on the floor from 4 to 5 p.m. tomorrow (Monday.)  The following week, I will not be down there at all.  Sorry you are working more hours than you want and hope you are feeling better.  I am definitely going to call that doctor who gives the B-12 shots along with his diet plan during our next recess.  Hope he's not real expensive.

Wish, remember the times I post are Eastern time.  I think you are an hour earlier.

KES:  I haven't worn a size 8 for more than 20 years...you lucky duck.  Right now I have no slacks that fit and refuse to buy any in my size.  It's going to be a long, cold winter.

Where's Hanna banana?  LOVE your humor!

I better get to work.  Hope everyone has a great nonproductive day!

Patrice, I meant what I wrote, they are beautiful photos, thank you. :)

Michigan is an EST state.  Do the fall back and spring forward stuff.  Wish we didn't, cause surely messes up my system every time! :D

Don't work to hard on your day off dear lady!

Harley, Glad the B12 shots seem to be helping!  I'm betting you need new pillows for that neck and or staying out of the recliner.  I can't sit in mine for any length of time now.  At first it was neck/back problem back after treatment, now it's my hips.  For some reason, that recliner loveseat and or the car seats sit at a weird angle for my hips, and I little can't walk a minute after rising out of them!  Hate when dd or dh just get out the car and take off on me!  Here's me, standing holding the door like a old woman waiting for a hand. Doesn't take long to get them moving again, but darn, feel foolish when it happens!

    Patrice,

I think I saw you on CSpan2, with the cream color outfit.  You looked so very nice!

    Wish,

I know the feeling... Sometimes when I get up, I have aches and I feel like I'm 80 years old!  I know, that our family just laugh at us, they really don't seem to realize that we are having problems...  I guess my dh thinks I am making all this up!!

I did get new pillows... they are Sealy Posturepedic, FIRM, and they are supposed to be good for you if you sleep on your side, which I do.  Maybe it's helping, some.  I think the B-12 shot may have helped me to feel less tired, too.

Sorry about your aches and pains, Wish.  I can relate.  I've been having a problem with sciatica lately and want to scream.   I didn't realize Michigan was on Eastern time!  It's true...you do learn something new every day.  Problem is I also forget something new every day. Undecided

That was really bad Hanna! Tongue out

I hope it's something fixable, b/c this is really getting on my nerves!

It's okay too, about forgetting something, just make sure it's not us that gets shut out when you have to remember something new is all! :D

Harley?  Any better with you neck? I've had that same thing from sitting in the loungerloveseat and or sleeping on mom's pillows up home.  Her's are good ones, but too hard and I think it puts a creak in my neck and then just gets worse till I get home and recoup.  Try heat....very, low heat.  Or a warm soak with espoms.

G, looking for that schedule for the week now that I know we get CSpan2!  HA!  Never knew it!  Way too many channels!

Hanna, I had an inside day...Not good be/c the rain is over 3 inches so far and more coming from IKEy!  But the bad part is, no bike rides, and I'm bored, so I'm eating my stash up, and of course, tis' all chocolate!  Oh my!

G,  I have the size 8 clothes, but I cannot fit into them at all. Maybe last year. Am trying again. Lots of salad and fruits and steamed veggies and going very low on the carbs. And drinking anything that is "diet" liquids to fill up. My problem is I love the sweets and chocolate. I am in withdrawl and hating it. YUK!!!! Takes about 2 weeks for me to not crave the carbs.

Althea, Glad that you were not affected by the storm. Hope that Sue is O.K.

Wish,  The same thing happens to my left hip. And if I lean forward in a chair for too long and then try and get up it is like my left hip does not want to move and have to stand there for a bit. I get in and out of my car like my Mom does, who had her first hip replacement at age 51. She sits in sideways with her bum first and then swings in both legs together and she gets out the same way, swings both of her legs out first and then stands up from the sideways position again. I should get my hips x-rayed to check for arthritis, but just cannot face that right now. Have you had hip x-rays done?

Harley, I buy most of my clothes on sale.  I shop the end of the season sales. In Canada we are always changing through 1 season or another. Maybe that is my excuse to shop!!!!!! Never thought of it that way.

Hanna,  We posted at the same time. Pizza Hut has Chicken Alfredo? O.K. I am so there. I had my Salad and ham (little piece) and now I am hungry all over again.  You are just too good today with the veggie organic dish.  Please, no cleaning though. It will be like someone else is residing in your body.

Sue is okay, just lazy.  Sorry I let you worry.  Yesterday I went for my first pedicure since chemo started, and then went antique shopping with my best friend. Today I woke up and my whole body hurt.  I HAD to go to church because we were having a birthday party for 2 ladies that are 90 and 84 years old, and I  promised to bring banana pudding...but I spent the afternoon in the recliner.  And I have to go back to work tomorrow.

I am 9 hours driving from the Gulf, about 20 miles north of Fort Worth.  Ike was an afternnoon of sideways rain, and that was all.

Take care everyone.  I'm sorry I made you worry, but it makes me feel good that you did.

    Thanks.

    Love,

    Sue

So glad you're ok sue.  For some reason I thought you lived in the Beaumont area near Houston.

I'm totally kicking back today, staying inside and enjoying the cool front blowing through with some gentle rain.  Heat index yesterday I think was up to 110.  So thankful for many things today.  I bought some chocolate as part of my hurricane supplies.  I already ate some yesterday.  After the first year of living in hurricane country, I learned to stock up on things I'll actually eat later on.  lol

Sue, glad you are okay, sorry you've got work tomorrow after making pudding today :(

Kerry, Let me know what time we're sharing that chocolate stress reliever! :D  I'm ready anytime!  I had left over food that I made dh for his week on the road.  Was pretty salty though...ugh!  Just what we all need.  Salt to induce water retention hey? :(

Yes Hanna, that's basically what I'm feeling like!  I swear my 80 year old mom (81 in nov) gets around better than me!  Shoot, I have to remind her NOT to get up running yet! Scary woman! :)  She does a garden (veggies) about 4 times the size of mine....Crazy woman too!  And drives to it, 30 miles from her house 3 X a week on the highway!  BAck to scary :D

My god you're making me hungry, Hanna.

Welcome back, Sue.  Aren't pedicures the best?!!!  Sorry you're having to go back to work tomorrow...especially when you're all achy.  Hope you feel better in the morning.

Can't believe what a pain in the a** sciatica is. OUCH!   I'm literally sitting on a shiatsu massager right now.   Wonder how it must look.
