NICKI>OMG you must be in a lot of pain with those ribs! I can sympathize in a way, no broke ribs but I've been kicked in the ribs by a horses's two hind legs that slammed me up side the stall wall. And I have a rib muscle that keeps reminding me every so often that I twisted my ankle and fell back onto the door ledge when stepping out of my truck.
I don't know how you are breathing girl, that has to be so painful! PLease let us know what the doc finds out.
Am so glad I mowed yesterday, 7am today wasn't a bit cool at all!
Having lunch tommorow with a biker friend who took me to rads the last two weeks and who also had breast cancer herself. I told her I kinda miss the lunches we had during rads so she promised we'd do one soon. -
Hi I am new to the circle..was reading the last few pages to get to now everyone--alot to read!! Well, prayers and hugs to everyone and I will read day to day from now on.

Hi everyone, things are back to being crazy here so I haven't had a chance to post.
Jankay's computer is on the blitz again so she won't be posting until it's fixed. She wanted you guys to know.
I'm going to try to read back a few pages and come back.
Hugs & Prayers

Hi all,
I'm with you Odalys...seriously considered calling in sick after oversleeping AGAIN! Power must have gone out during the night as the clock was blinking. Jankay called a woke me up...tweaking your toes she said...LOL. Good thing she did or I'd probably still be sleeping.
I think we should all pack our bags and go back on the hill! Look out MB.

Welcome Candie!
Shokk and Denise - I'm tired of all the BS at work. There is so much chaos and so much drama all caused by pure incompetence. There are folks who surely don't have the skills to meet today's demands and challenges, then there are those who have been passing the buck for years. For some reason after the bc dx I don't have the patience to deal with these folks. Life is so short and fragile and can be taken away from you when you least expect it. So much stress.
Not knowing what is going on with DS is stressing me out. I just want to start running and yell the F word as loud as I can (but I won't cause good girls don't)
We hear about balancing work and home but there is not much discussion about coping and balancing life after bc dx. Going back to work is okay but what do we do with all the new aches, pains, and the uncertainty brought on by such a diagnosis. Work problems seem like such a waiste of my time. How do I move on?
Shokk - I think you are right....I need to chill today. Most importantly, I think I need to focus on counting my blessings.
Wild/Jan - that picture you posted was my avatar all throughout chemo and rads. Lady under the beach umbrella, relaxing and catching those rays...just carefree. -
Welcome Candie
Hi Shokk - love your quick pop ins. Thanks for reminding Cheri I was vacationing.
Nickie - Owwwwww. I'm so sorry your hurting.
Beth - Drains again??? Boy that stinks.
Puppy - So happy to see you posting. Praying the rest of your treatments are easy.
Cheri - Where are you? Did I hear Cheri was back in the hospital? What's up?
Does anyone have an address for Cheri? Can you PM me with it?
Who else is having a hard time? I know more is going on but I'm so lost after being gone for 2 weeks. Anyone willing to fill me in?
Have tons to do: laundry, cleaning, bills, mail. Ever notice how much work there is after being gone!!!!!
Hugs,
Sue -
Hi Sue - we missed you. Yes, dear Cheri is in the hospital with a bone infection. She is receiving IV antibiotics.
-
MArisa...thanks its one from pinkstock...usually have to have Vickie post for me...lol..it only took me 3 hours to do...lol...
Denise should I email a picture for your avatar..hmm..maybe the lizard one...lol...
ok I really need to work...but I am sooo addicted to this family I can't help myself...lol...
Vickie checking flights...to FLa...gotto wear the new swim suit...lol...
MB -
Odylys - Hugs to you. Boy do I hear you. I haven't got the ballance worked out yet either. I also have a very short fuse since BC and don't deal well with anyones BS. Sure wish I had the answer to leading a stress free calm and happy life. If I figure it out I'll let you know. In the meantime do something nice for you. You sure deserve it.
Hugs,
Sue -
Does anyone have an address for Cheri??? Home or hospital or both.
Thanks -
MB...thinking Florida October 13th till October 21st. Anyone interested just join in!! Have a great place to stay at Cocoa Beach (inexpensive if you split up the cost)...sleeps ten...two bedrooms, pull out couch, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, balcony, pool, OCEAN!!!
-
PM Susan - she has the address....
MB - I have a hard time posting pics not on photobucket too
My friend just picked up her pet scan and she's really upset because it says there's likely lymph node and metastasis in her ovary area...she has the ultrasound tomorrow...I wish the pet didn't say those words - It's awful to read.....I told her that they are cautious because of her history but it's not likely for her to have had BC, melanoma, and now ovarian cancer within months of each other (she tested neg for BRCA)
Anyway keep her in your thoughts...light a candle for her.
Love Marisa -
Marisa - you got it - here is to your friend and all our sisters on this difficult journey
-
Thank you Odalys...it brought tears to my eyes
Add my other friend's daughter in law - she just found out she has a recurrence in a lymph node in her chest wall..they need to be in the center.
Love Marisa -
HI CANDIE welcome!
ODALYS>well cool that you used that animation for your avitar. I just found it this morning search the web and thought it was a good lazy hot summer looking one. ;-)
MARISA>prayers for your friend's daughter in law. -
Flying by with a Cheri update. I talked to her just now and she seems to be into the blue drinks at the hospital. You know the signs, slurred speech, many stories combining to one, cant finish a sentence. Yep thats her all right. She swears its the pain meds and that she is crazy as a bat on them but we all on here know how she likes to partake of the blue rinks. Just kidding,,well not really she did sound like a drunk, she said so herself. Lots of pain from the infection. They are thinking 2 or 3 days there and send her home with a picc line which she does not want at all. Main thing is to get the infection cleared up and go from there. Still had her sense of humor and worried about her daughter so keep her in your thoughts also.
As far as me, I was MIA yesterday due to attending 2 training classes. Those are always so much fun. Its over 100 again today and heat records are breaking left and right. Whoever mentioned about the donkeys and goats drinking,,,WOW. They are drinking between 50 and 100 gallons a day. Their eating hasnt decreased because of the heat but then again mine hasnt either.
The puppies are growing like a weed and starting to whine more. Wont be long till their eyes open. They will be 2 weeks old on Friday.
ok quick update on the homefront and hopefully I will be back to post more. Geesh lots going on around here. I hate it when the center of our circle has so many in it.
Amy -
Welcome to the circle Candie.
I have a ton of work to do today but just had to stop in here and read. It is going to be super hot even in S. CA today. Muggy too. I have my computer back and they were able to save all my data so I guess it was worth the $$.
Hugs to all of you struggling today. -
Thanks Jan...
By friend undergoing the pet scan and ultrasound tomorrow just told me she finally wrote here after months of lurking...her name is Jaredsmom...PM her good wishes if you can - she's very sweet and a great friend. -
Hi Thanks for all the warm welcomes.
Have a good day,
Candie

prayers to everyone
MB..soon to be flying...lol...OMG i can't believe it... -
Beth, hang in there, things need to get better soon. Hope that drain goes soon.
Puppy, how are you doing?
Marisa, you know they say everyone has a twin - have you ever had people say that you look like someone they know? Years ago I worked with two guys who used to tell me I looked like their sister and I finally met her when one of the guys got married - boy, was it eerie looking into your own face - wonder if we still look alike 30 years later?
Odalys, new avatar - are those two chairs for you and me? I love watching the water. Sounds like you are overworked. Do you anticipate it getting better?
Shokk, boot camp - didn't go Monday but went last night. I think I like it better at night but I can't make it three nights a week. Maybe next week I'll ask if I can go two nights a week and one morning - either way, I'm going.
Denise, I just started interviewing personal trainers for you - as soon as I find a good one, I'll box him up and send him. In the meantime, here's the first candidate:
Wild Jan, enjoy your lunch tomorrow.
Hi Candie, pull up a chair and join us. This thread moves pretty fast so don't worry if you miss a day or two - will be too many pages to catch up on, just jump in.
MB, new avatar looks great.
Odalys, I found us two more chairs and there is one more for whoever needs it.
Vickie, wahhhhh, I want to go to Florida and meet up with you guys but we decided we can't this year. After tallying up a wedding, new car, paying off the second on the house, and a few other major expenses, we have to wait until the first of the year. Take pictures ok?
Marisa, moving your friend and your other friend's DIL to the middle of the circle so we can surround them with love.
Back to work. Love to all.
Margaret -
Margaret - I never thought about it as being over worked. Thanks for reminding me. I'm not sure if it will get better, maybe when I only have to travel to one facility. My boss wants me to oversee all three facilities from the main campus. It's such a big promotion, hard to turn down.
The extra beach chair is for anyone who needs a get away. Thanks for the extra beach chairs, the ocean has such a calming effect, especially for us Aquarians. -
Denise, I'll be home on the 25th. Meeting Marsha and maybe Choca tomorrow, then Choca and a few ladies from chat on sunday. Time has flown by.
Amy I talked to Cheri earlier today as well. Blue drinks indeed. But she sounded good and is hopeful they are gonna fix her leg up.
Who's in the path of this storm in the Gulf?
