Our Jankay needs some extra love and attention and needs to be in the center for a bit. So very sad and down. So very much wants to be out of her wheelchair and not dependent on anyone. Can we all circle her and give her a hug.

Since I'm not going to be around the computer for the weekend, I want to wish everyone a great and restful time. I'll check in when I get home Sunday night. I would advise everyone to behave themselves, but I know that will fall on deaf ears. So, ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jankay, it's hard to hear you so frustrated but it's okay. But remember the progress you've made!! You walked and only what a week or two ago you didn't at all! I look at your signature line and think what good words to live by! Your frustration and sadness is completely understandable and I'm surprised it doesn't come out more often. It's good to let it out sometimes. For you sweetie:

I agree Jankay. Lotsa Love and Hugs for you.

Margaret - good for you. It feels great to have that over with and you don't have to get another one for a few years. I drank the stuff. It didn't bother me that much.

Liz sorry that your arm hurts. You said your bad arm. Do you have lymphedema. We will fix it at pinkstock.

hugs, cheri. How many days till our lunch. Not too many days til August 3rd.

You know when we are going through unfun times, it's nice to have this place to come to. It's hard when things aren't going well. But it's nice to have the circle where there is almost always someone around who has time to give you a hug.

Now, if I could just figure out what I did with my magic wand so I could cure eveyone's problems. God Bless.

Hey Suzola, hope all is well with you.

Jankay, I really don't know what to say. You know that I am so terribly sorry that you're sick and stuck in that wheelchair and if I could I would fix it for you. I know the girls that commented on me getting out of mine were in no way comparing mine and your situations. Yours is much more severe. I'm sorry you got your feelings hurt. Wishing you well.

I'm just too sore and tired to catch up tonight and will try to do so in the AM after a good night's sleep. Off the percocet so feeling more pain I guess. I am a bit concerned because my foot swelled up today. Not both feet, just one, which makes me more concerned. It was sore only if I walked on it. Of course I'm thinking the worst, blood clot! It's gone down quite a bit since this evening and keeping my foot up. I guess this can happen after surgery and sitting on my bum too long! I'm going to get my bum to bed and prop said foot up. If it's still swollen in the morning the doc will be called. Wondering if you nurses here might have any words of wisdom for me. I've had both feet swell .. they Don't like the heat and get red and sore, especially since I've been on Tamoxifen. Maybe some of you other gals have had this problem after surgery. Talk to you all tomorrow!

    Hugs and Love,

    Hello CG's

Its late and I started falling asleep reading all the posts. glad to hear that thins went well with Puppy and her surgery.Nickie - 2 jobs - wopw - when do you find time to sleep? good luck with the job interview.
Holly - I am so sorry about your beloved Feahers. It sounds like he had a good last day. our pets are our family. sending you hugs from Denver.
Margaret - hooray - you gpt through your colonoscopy. I still need to schedule mine.

Today was quite some day. I decided that I would not take the Tramadol today - just the valium and the keflex. Something was upsetting my stomach and wasn't sure if it was the Tamadol or Keflex. Plus I was so loopy on them, tht I need to come back to earth a little. I jsut didn't feel good all day, was queasy and dry mouth plus a headache on and off and a stomach that was so distented I looked 6 months pregnant. instead of feling better today, I felt worse than yesterday. I haven't done anything much since the surgery and today was the first day that I got dressed. I called my PS this afternoon and she said that she tought is was viral. She said to take some deep breathes, drink some water and see if that helps. I called her back again and she said to get a laxative. I ahd correctal at home so I took 3 - plus I had been taking stool softeners. When I called th 3rd time, she talked to the PS - it was 4:45 (and i was hoping I could see him). PS told the nurse to tell me to go to the ER. I asked him I could just wait and see him first thing in the morning and she said NO - that they would not run the blood work or some of the other tests in the office. I was ticked and so was DH as we know how long it takes in the ER. It turns out I was severly constipated (blood owork and xrays of abdomin) came back normal. ER doc called the PS to ask if he could heck out the incision. Er doc said it looked red and felt warm. He then called the Ps back to tell him and PS said he thought it was still form the surgery and that I should come in first thing in the morning. We in the ER they gave me a laxative to drink and an enema and it did clean me out some (but not all the way. Kind of embarrasing to go to the ER for this, but i was really worried that i was brewing an infection. the thermometer at the ER had my temp in the normal range, but I took it at home and it was 100.5 or so. Just to be sure it was working, I took DH temp and his was normal or below 98!!! So I am now off the pain pills and will just take acetomenaphen and the valium and then if I need something at night a sleeping pill. I've never had this problem with all my surgeries over the past 16 months. I'm starting to fall asleep while writing this, so i better go. Sending hugs to everyone. hopefully I an send an update after i see the PS. Karen

Yeah...I soooo need a weekend! Went to bed early, woke up and didn't sleep much all night. Tossed and turned, hot one minute, cold the next...geez. I'll be falling asleep at my desk today if I'm not careful.

Nicki...wishing you lotsa luck today. I still haven't heard a word about the other job and I'm beginning to get a wee bit annoyed.
Jankay...sending you a hug. No one here would ever hurt your feelings...you do know that don't you?
Karen...sending you gentle hugs. My goodness dear lady, does it ever end. I'm sorry that it's been such a tough time for you for so long. I do believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel though and you are getting closer every second.
Hugs going out to Puppy this morning. What a blessing.
Special hugs for all our girls in the center. CY...hope all is well, Mena...It was fun seeing you post yesterday.

Robin has gone AWOL again I see.
Cheri...we haven't picked a party destination for the weekend yet! How can this be...we usually start on Wednesdays...gonna have to play hard to catch up.
Jasmine...hope today is quieter for you at work. My day is going to be a long one...tons to get done...end of month is rough.
Denise, Shokk, Margaret, Suz, Betty, Anne, Shel, Holly, Joyce, Madison, Cherryl, Liz, Susan, Amy, ok...brain overload...everyone have a wonderful day. I'll check in later.
    Love and hugs all around
    Vickie

Subject: Fw: if you need a laugh today.............. these are for YOU

*I was at the golf store
    comparing different kinds
    of golf balls.
I was unhappy with the women's type
I had been using. After browsing for
    several minutes, I was approached
by one of the good- looking gentlemen
who works at the store. He asked if
    he could help me.
Without thinking, I looked at him
    and said,
"I think I like playing with men's balls."

*My sister and I were at the mall and passed
by a store that sold a variety of candy
and nuts. As we were looking at
the display case, the boy behind
the counter asked if we needed
    any help. I replied,
"No, I'm just looking at your nuts."
My sister started to laugh hysterically,
the boy grinned, and I turned
    beet-red and walked away.
To this day, my sister has never
    let me forget.

*Have you ever asked your child
    a question too many times?
My three-year-old son had a lot
    of problems with potty training
and I was on him constantly.
One day we stopped at Taco Bell
for a quick lunch in between errands.
It was very busy, with a full dining
    room. While enjoying my taco,
    I smelled something funny,
so of course I checked my
    seven-month- old daughter,
    and she was clean.
Then I realized that Danny had not
asked to go potty in a while,
so I asked him if he needed to go,
    and he said, "No."
I kept thinking, "Oh Lord, that child
has had an accident, and I don't
    have any clothes with me."
    Then I said,
"Danny, are you SURE you didn't
    have an accident?"
"No," he replied. I just KNEW that
he must have had an accident,
because the smell was getting worse.
Soooooo, I asked one more time,
"Danny, did you have an accident?"
    This time he jumped up,
yanked down his pants, bent over
and spread his cheeks and yelled.
    "SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!"
While 30 people nearly choked to
    death on their tacos laughing,
he calmly pulled up his pants and
    sat down.
An old couple made me feel better
by thanking me for the best laugh
    they'd ever had!

*This had most of the state of
    Michigan laughing for 2 days
    and a very embarrassed female
news anchor who will, in the future,
    likely think before she speaks.
    What happens when you predict
    snow but don't get any?
A true story. We had a female
news anchor who, the day after
it was supposed to have snowed
    and didn't, turned to the
    weatherman and asked:
    "So Bob, where's that 8
    inches
    you promised me last night?"
Not only did HE have to leave
the set, but half the crew did too!

While on a flight from New York ,
    the Stewardess was busy passing
out peanuts and cokes to everyone.
    There were about sixteen flights
lined up waiting to get clearance
    to take off.
Then the other Stewardess got a
message from the Pilot that the
tower said the wind had changed 180 degrees and they were first in
line to take off, and to have
    everyone buckle up.
    Without thinking she just announced
"Please buckle up, grab your drinks
and hold your nuts, we're taking off!".
No one saw her for the rest of the
flight to Houston, and all the other
    Stewardesses were laughing
all the way and so were half of
    the passengers.

Now, didn't that feel good ?
    Pass it on to someone
    you know who needs
    a good laugh

    Laundry

One day, a housework-challenged husband decided to wash his sweatshirt. Seconds after he stepped into the laundry room, he shouted to his wife, "What setting do I use on the washing machine?"

"It depends," she replied. "What does it say on your shirt?"

    He yelled back, "Texas A & M."

I think everyone needs to feel like they can come the circle with problems, complaints, feel goods, feel bads. After all, for most of us, this is the only support group that we have. I know in my case that is true. I have tons of complaints (LOL) that I know don't compare to others lives/problems but they are mine and sometimes we need to get them out, no matter how strong we are or seem.

Good luck Nicki, you will knock them dead. YOU KNOW you are a good nurse. Period. Just let them see the Nicki we all know.

Karen, man so sorry to hear of your problem. A friend of mine had the same thing, was so impacted they literally had to remove it. Hopefully they can get you "moving."

Charlene, how's that ankle swelling this morning? So good to see you up and posting. I look forward to your posts each day.

Good morning Vickie, hey, when are you heading to Florida to visit that daughter of yours? I am having night sweats so bad I am literally drenched. Have hot flashed too, but realize now that those two things are different. I only flash a couple of times during the day but at night, it is constant! I think Sherloc mentioned something her doc gave her, I'll have to ask her about that when I see her. Are you ready for Pinkstock? I am so jealous!!

Good morning A to Z........ today is zap number 28. 5 more to go!

    Hugs to all, Marsha

OH OH OH I almost forgot, I had a HUGE closing yesterday (man the first one in a looooooong time). Before I pay the first bill, am booking a Sandals tip to Jamaica with all my buds for December 5-12!

    Good Morning All,
I so do not want to get moving this morning but it is payroll day. It is always something day isn't it?
Nicki.. good luck on your interview. I think your personal charm should be way more than enough to get
that job! I know where you are coming from. I often
toy with the idea of a part time, but my full time is
so literally almost all the time there is no way. Working
    on being a better steward!
Thanks for the smiles this morning Jankay. Needed a smile this morning. I hope your day is a good one today.
Vickie.. do you and Nate have plans for the weekend?
Puppy may get to come home today. Still praying for continued healing. Ed said he felt like they are going to leave the other aneurysms alone for now.
Karen.. so sorry for your discomfort! Glad you finally got a little relief. Constipation is a miserable feeling.
Guess I better hit the showers and head to work. Hope you all have a wonderful day. God Bless!

    Good Morning All!

Marsha, I either didn't know or forgot that you were in Real Estate! Congrats on the BIG closing! Taking all your Buds to Jamaica in December????????????? How Nice of you....Did you find someplace that would take all 40 or so of us???!!!LOL

Nicki: Good Luck on the Interview..I just know you will do fine!

Karen: Hope you get some relief soon. Enough already!

Charlene: How's the foot? Hopefully the elevation worked, if not...get thy butt to the Doctors!

Cheri: Hey to you, Mon Cheri! Sounds much nicer than yelling CHERI LYNN! See you and Susan are heading for lunch in the not to far future........hang in there!

Amy and Nicki: I hate Teeth..........wish I would have had mine all pulled 10 years ago! I have crowns and root canals on all of em.........all but one and that was scheduled for Aug. 3........of course I cancelled it cuz it interfered with my trip!!

Vickie: TGIF for you Lady!! Let's see, how will Vickie spend her "time off" this weekend? Sat. Morning Grocery Shopping (at some ungodly hour!), Cleaning the house and then probably cleaning it again!, Mowing the lawn..(but now we know it's cuz she can drool over the fence!), Church on Sunday, and I'm sure the rest is well planned too! LOL

I did receive a voice mail from Robin a couple of nights ago. I don't get good reception on my cell out here in the boonies.....but she seems to be doing good. I'll re-listen to it and let you know what is up. I do know that she has been really busy and truly appreciates us worrying and checking up on her. Something her own family doesn't do.

Missing so many, but like a book..........Friday is Mom Day! Yup, gotta hit the shower and head in to Mom's! I'll be back later.....to all, have a great day!

    Hugs,

Good Morning Sisters and Good Night big Bro,

Always wanted a big bro, all mine are younger than me. Peter hope you had a good day. Sleep well.

Jankay, loved the jokes. Gave a good start to the day. Sorry you are feeling like you will never get out of that chair. But you will have good days and not so good days and you walked this week. Gentle hugs and prayers for you.

Nicki, I know you will do well at the interview whether you are 'coiffed' or not. I finally coloured my hair for the first time ever after my hyster. Some lady asked me if I qualified for Senior's discount (and I was only partially gray, not completely) so I said that's enough. My DH doesn't like it cause he wanted us to 'go gray together'! Too bad.

Vicki, have a great day at work.

Marsha, congrats on the big closing that allows you the trip. You have earned it. Glad to hear end of rads is in site, does that mean next Friday you're done? Yippee!

Karen, glad you got that sorted out. Keep the fluids and fruit up and that will keep things moving.

Liz, do you wear a sleeve? I have ordered one because by the end of the day my arm feels quite heavy, though not visibly swollen (and I don't want it to interfere with my golf game, lol)

Char/Angel, how is the foot? Do you have any pain in your calf or groin? As Nicki said, if it hasn't gone down, get thee to thy doctor!

    Have a great day everyone.

Nicki - Good luck on the interview, I know you'll do great.

Charlene - I can't help you, but I am the queen of weird funky side effects and symptoms. I can't tell you how many times a doctor has looked at me and said, "hhhhmmm...." It was only about 1/3 of the way through chemo that my onc learned to expect the unexpected with me! I hope the foot is improved today, and I would definitely at least call if it's not.

Vicki - I didn't sleep much last night either, though I am back in my own bed at least now! One of the hotels on vacation had this little "Good Night" kit on the pillow, and it had a small bottle of lavender linen spray in it. I spray it on Warren's pillow every night when he goes to bed now. I hate it when I don't sleep well.

Karen - Warren is having the same issue, is actually on some prescription powder that I mix into a drink for him. It seems to be working. Cracklin' Oat Bran cereal is also really good. I force him to eat about a half a cup of it a day. Good luck!

Marsha - congrats! I was at Sandals in Jamaica a few years ago with Tim. It was absolutely beautiful there.

OK,need to get some work done, sorry for all I missed - JanKay, Denise, shokk, liz, susan, pam, cheri, betty, margaretb, sue/gus, sue/boo, running out of memory now!!! Oh and Peter of course!

Good Morning Dears. Checking in from grey and gloomy Orlando. Torrential rain last night. Got here last night around 6 and had to turn right around and go pick up my aunt at the airport. Geez, if I knew she was coming we could have come together. She lives in the Bay Area. O well. Tonight there will be a private service for the family and tomorrow is the funeral.
Liz, thank you so much for the flowers and for posting the guestbook link.

    Good Morning All,

The foot swelling is down so far this morning. I'll pay attention to it. I didn't even realize it was swollen until Karl pointed it out to me yesterday! Thy doc will be called immediately if it swells up again!
Well I don't work but I'm so glad it's Friday so that the constant rat-a-tat-tat of the construction workers can finally stop for a couple of days. One of these days I'm going to walk over and ask when they expect to finish. They take their breaks under a tree in my yard. lol

Karen - wow, I'm so sorry you had to go through that but happy you've found some relief. I suffered for three days with constipation after my surgery and was ready to go to the drug store for something when nature took it's course. I looked like I was pregnant I was so bloated! As a matter of fact I'm still a little bloated and wondering when that is going to stop! Take care of yourself.

Nicki - you sure are a woman who's got it all together. I'm sure you'll do well on your interview.

Marsha - Thank you, as I do yours! Wow, Jamaica with friends..that's so awesome and you deserve it so much! I like where your priorities lie! I thought of you when I woke up this morning drenched. I woke up all night long hot then cold over and over. Got up this morning shivering from being so damp. If you find relief from the night sweats please let me know how. Not fun.

Jankay - Good funnies today! Hope you have a happier day today.

Pam - always good to see you. You sounded down in your post...remember TGIF! Hope you have a great day and it's over before you know it!

Denise - Thanks for the info on Robin. Your posts are always such a joy to read! Have a good day today!

Cheri - I look for your posts every day. You are so down to earth and have a great way with words!

Amy - I feel for you, Hate the dentist, especially now that they always seem to find a tooth that needs a crown. Why are those little things so freakin' expensive anyways!

Lynn - No pain in the calf or groin but I did have tightness in the calf after awhile. My mom has peripheral vascular disease and I worry about it for me. Being a smoker and on Tamoxifen doesn't help matters!

(((((Shirley))))) - the weather there probably fits the mood. My thoughts will be with you tonight.

Liz - I'm sorry to hear about your bad arm. I'm sure you've overdone it. I hope you can find some relief for it. Thanks so much for the link to Shirley's nephew's guest book.

Susan - I saw your pic with your dog on the party thread - you have a beautiful smile and look so happy! It just makes me smile looking at you!

Colleen - hmmmmmmm , that can't be good to hear from the doctors! lol

Madison - don't worry about not being able to post. It's nice that you came on with hugs even though you're crazy busy. Hugs back.

Margaret - WooHoo on the all clear and 10 year break!

MB - Thank you, I'm healing well! You need a clone sister!

Vickie - I slept as you did last night. I was suffering the yucky night sweats! I hope you manage to stay awake today!

Peter - where did you go?

Iris Angel - I miss you, come back! I hope you're doing well.

Jasmine - You've been MIA more than usual too. Hope you're doing well!

((((((Puppy)))))) - I raised a glass of wine to you last night. Still sending healing vibes to you.

The mornings sure are different .. did anyone tweak toes today?

Hope everyone from A - Z have a great day!

Denise, silly, it wasn't THAT big of a check that I am paying for everyone!! Thing is, they were going with or without me! NO FAIR I say. We went last year right before I was dx'd (DEC) and decided to do an annual trip, trying different Sandals in Jamaica. This year we have 12 (6 couples) going.
