See ya all in the morning
Nicki -
Back from buying out the town. Taking my stuff out of my car, my leg touched the exhaust pipe. OUCH!!!!! Now I have a lovely little half moon burn to go with the sunburn.
Colleen, it is definately OK. And then some.
Shokk, whats up with Tammy Faye Baker?
Susan, how did the interview go?
MB, UHOH!!! Boys should never be allowed to have control of money for any reason whatsoever....At least not till they are 80.
Hi Catherine.
Jeannie, thanks for the good word on the Move Free stuff. Have only been taking it for a week. Keeping my fingers crossed it works for me.
Cheri, and I yours my dear. You got your wings back? Very cool. I'll be waiting on the roof.
Sheri, a company picnic and no family invited? how stupid is that? I'm sorry it was not a good time. And your hubby still went? UHOH!!! That would have put mine in the dog house for a month.
Amy, hugs for you.
Iris, I refuse to move into the high tech era. Only fancy schmancy stuff I have is for my camera. O and my puter.
Hi shannon
Susan, glad the interview went well. Sounds like the perfect job. I love libraries too.
Best concert I ever went to was The Eagles 1978. From what I can remember of it anyway.
daughter yapping at me back in a bit. -
Angel...where are you? I know you are stressing as we all would be...just know that we are holding your hand.
Gonna go watch a movie with Nate...don't think I can do the Larry King thing...might tape it and see how it goes...
Shirley...Tammy Faye Baker is dying of lung cancer and she is being interviewed tonight on Larry King Live. Just sad is all.
Sheri...I think a quick trip to the deliverance tent is in order for DH...no family at company picnic...they did that where I worked last year...no kids at the Christmas party so I didn't go. It wasn't like it was a black tie affair or a barroom setting. Nate is my only family here and he has always gone with me and dressed up to hand out the gifts. We didn't go at all.
bbl
love ya all
Vickie -
Hi all,
Ive missed so much in a couple of days, but Im taking Shirleys advice and not even trying to catch up. It is my 3 year cancerversary on Saturday, and Im emotionally in a good place about it this year. That is reason enough to celebrate! Ill be seeing a plastic surgeon at the beginning of August to talk about my really delayed reconstruction and, although I could really use the tummy tuck that accompanies the TRAM, Im hoping that the implants are an option for me. Im a big baby about the surgery and the recovery time involved with the TRAM.
Vickie, I cant wait to see the Glenda dress! I hope you put a big old drawstring in it so that I can squeeze my hindquarters into it. Im glad to hear that Nates fever broke my daughter had a febrile seizure when she was two because of a high fever, and every time either one of the kids gets a fever now, psycho mom watches them like a hawk.
Amy, Im thinking about you and sending you hugs. Loved your pictures from Maine!
Susan, good luck with the new job. It sounds like the interview went great!
Cheri, you big ole trouble maker! Did I see that you made a post that simply said rats ass? I knew there was a reason that I loved ya!
Beth and Cherryl, I live with three Harry Potter addicts, and Ive had to sit through many dinner discussions lately about how the saga will end. Ive only read the first four books, and I had to go onto sparknotes.com to read the summaries of the last two books just so I could follow the conversations. DH is taking my daughter to a Harry Potter party tomorrow night to get the book since the one I ordered from Amazon wont be here until Saturday morning! Yikes!
Marsha, Im so glad you got an afghan. What a great reminder of how much you are cared for here!
Madison, if you are an addict, then I am too. I never really post from the Blackberry, but I check in A LOT.
Sheri, sorry about your DHs company outing. My daughter forgets to give me messages too, so Ive started telling her to just let the machine pick up when Im not there!
Jankay and Peter, thanks for starting my day off with a laugh! I think I missed something about Peters leaky problem, though!
Karen, have a great time at the concert. DH saw Dylan about 20 years ago, and he said it was a great show!
EachDay, I love your posts. You really do have a way with words.
Margaret, good for you for sticking with Boot Camp. I really need to get off my butt and do something like that!
Charlene, good luck tomorrow! Well all be with you, holding your hand.
Puppy, I am keeping you in my prayers.
Nicki, I hope you get a good night's sleep, my friend.
I know that I have missed many, but I need to go pick up my daughter at dance class. I dont know where I got the crazy idea that the schedule would calm down in the summer
Love to all, from A to Z!
Sue -
Hi again, I sure miss you guys. If I dont mention you, its not because I dont think of you. I am just so far behind here.
Beth I called Robins home # and cell #. Im going to keep trying as time permits for me.
Vickie so glad Nates fever is going down. That is always so worrisome in a child. Give him a big hug and kiss from me. Cant wait to meet you guys.
Cheri LOL This is not a big bathroom at all. I just kept adding things I wanted to do in there. Pick me up on the magic carpet tomorrow. I need a day off. I love your new avatar.
Margaret you are going to be so in shape. I envy you. I dont think I could do what youre doing. You go girl.
Susan I love your new pic. You are so cute. Hope you get the job.
Jankay Hi! Okay, so PT didnt go as well as last time. Next time is a new start. Dont get discouraged. Youre doing great.
Cherryl the Harry Potter thing sounds so cool. Ive actually never read them, but have friends who have. Maybe something for me to do this winter.
Odalys before chemo, I hated Olive Garden. Now I love their lasagna. Ive actually been craving it this past week.
Denise my nephew lives near Phoenix. Its nice during the day and cool in the evenings. We may go visit him this fall. Have a great trip. You are going on a trip arent you? Son getting married?
Charlene just remember we will all be there with you tomorrow. Yes, its an outpatient surgery and youll do great. Have someone let us know how you are once you get home and are settled.
Peter so glad the roof is fixed and all is well. So exactly how cool is winter there? I would love to visit Australia some day. I have a friend who went last year. She loved it.
Karen well be with you as well tomorrow. I hope this surgery fixes all the problems and its your last one.
CY you amaze me lady. You are always on the go and doing treatment. I hope youre finding time to rest.
Gina I was so glad to see you here. You are sure missed. Sorry the chemo is kicking your butt but you know its kicking evils butt also.
Jas I have a copy of the Erma Bombeck writing. I sometimes go back and read it to remind me that some things just arent as important as I think they are. Fourteen days and Ill be giving you a hug at the airport. Ill be the one sitting and crocheting! LOL
Marsha Im so glad you got your afghan. Of course we like you, we love you. The bathroom will be done someday. LOL
Madison I had to laugh when you posted you were on your blackberry. Did DD give you a lesson? It was cool to see the site during our lunch. Have a safe trip and tell your youngest hello. How was DDs first day? Awww poor Jake he was just making sure the stethoscope worked. LOL I know its not funny.
Shokk hope you like your new haircut. I can relate to the whole shaving/haircut thing.
MB do we all need to go visit your boss while were there? Yes, he definitely needs to get a temp while youre gone.
Shir thank you, thank you, thank you. Sorry DDs friend doesnt get to come, well keep her busy. LOL Ive seen those digital frame things. That would make a really cool gift. Where do I get this Move Free stuff? If youre ER positive can you take it? I usually take plain glucosamine. What did you buy today?
Sheri jerks are what your DHs employers are. What idiots that they didnt explain it was no families beforehand. Sorry Micah was so upset.
Nicki sorry the TV kept you up. I spend lots of time on the couch just because of that reason. Hope tonight is a better night for you. Are you getting another cold? I sure hope not.
Colleen Good for you! Im glad you emailed Idiot man and told him what you thought. You are a wonderful, caring woman and mother. You do not need someone like him. Oh, always keep presents. The ring was a gift.
Jeannie I see you take the Move Free also. I dont think Ive ever seen it. Heres hoping you find MB.
Jan are you going to Sturgis? I cant remember if you said you were or not. I guess BIL is going again. He invited DH to go with him. Not sure if hes going or not.
Amy welcome home honey. So good to see you back. Ill have to check out the pics. Cute one of Bean.
Im pooped now and I know Ive missed many. Ill try to catch up later.
Hugs and Prayers -
Hi to all!
Trying to catch up with you all, but keep getting pesky little interuptions!
I've got Robins number along with her girls....will look it up in a jiffy.
Also, put out an "amber alert" on Anne. I went to the MI site and asked if anyone has heard from her.
I'm not sure I'll be back on tonight so all sleep tight.
Charlene: We're with you for tomorrow....lots of love.
Vickie: Glad the little one is feeling better.
Marsha: An Afghan of Hugs for you!!!! See, we all love you!
Hugs,
Denise -
Hello Everyone,
Busy day on the boards, lots to read.
Sue/Gus about recon, I waited four years. Had my original surgery Aug 2000, recon Aug 2004. Needed to have time without seeing docs of any kind, pokes, prods and procedures. Plus, I wanted to make sure I was going to live!!lol
Amy, welcome back. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hey Iris, we continue to find so much in common. Were we separated at birth??????
Madison, have a good trip.
Vickie, glad to hear Nate's feeling better.
Marsha, at my last job I worked with a guy who would not let his kids read Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings or see any of the movies. Didn't think they were "wholesome" and thought they promoted the wrong values. There were discussions when I thought I would have to have my tongue sutured back together!!!!!!!!
Shirley, how was the massage? I started getting a massage after each chemo, a suggestion from my onc. Six plus years later I'm still getting them every two weeks. Nothing gets in the way of my massage.
Karen, enjoy Bob Dylan. I'm jealous.
Peter, when you roll out of bed and get a cupof coffee, have a great day.
Love to all I haven't named, but I'm thinking about you.
Cherryl -
Just a quick note to let you know that Anne has been found! She is fine.......feels bad for disappearing and worrying us, but is okay. Having alot of roller coaster days right now..emotionally not medically.
I'm sure she will catch up here soon!
As for Robin........I've got her girls Cell numbers.......she told me at the time she gave them to me that I could share them with any of the CG's who wanted them. I think I'm kinda scared to call.......does that make sense? She is living in such a 'tight' situation that I'm scared of what I might hear. If anyone wants the numbers, pm me and I'll check in before I hit the hay. If not, I'll put my big girl panties on and call her in the morning!
Hugs,
Denise -
Cheri-I don't know if you would recognize Round Rock now. The pop. is around 85,000. It has turned into just an extension of Austin. Still very nice, but you can't really tell when you leave RR and enter Austin. Still very hot in the summer. My husband and I threaten to move to New Mexico when he retires to get away from the hot summers.
Shokk-I am watching Tammy Fay on Larry King tonight against my husband's better judgement.
Shannon -
Good evening all and good morning Peter!
Susan, I had screwy hair also. I just keep it real short now. It's much easier!
Cheri, Tee hee! She's a rebel........well, ya know the song. lol!
Shokk, I absolutely LOVE the blues. BB King, Stevie Ray, Buddy Guy, Howlin' Wolf, Jimmy Hendrix! I could go on and on! I have a Sirius radio and I always listen to rock or the blues.
Karen, my dad was a teacher in Philly. Years ago he went out on early retirement because of union issues.
Vicke, I hope all goes well on the job front! The Glenda dress sounds really cool. I'll have to warn DH, so he won't be too scared, lol!
Hi Shannon! I don't know if I said hi to you yet, but....HELLO!
Gus, cancerversary! I like that! Mine is in March. Maybe I should have a big party!
Liz, no Sturgis this year. We will go out next summer. Come on out with DH. You would have a blast!
Charlene, good luck tomorrow! We will all be there with you, on the magic carpet. Mazer will be driving. of course!
Speaking of Mazer, Amy so good to see you posting again! We missed you. I hope you and your family are doing well!
I'm still trying to get ready to hit the road on Saturday. There is still so much to do. I will take lots of pics, don't worry! I will try to come here tomorrow to say good bye to all and find out how Charlene made out with her surgery! Love ya!!!
Good night Sisters and Brother! -
Hi everybody,
I have never really been here before, you are all so nice.
Shannon -
Oh my goodness I look like Little Orphan Annie's grandmother............ya'll think I'm kidding.........no really..........my daughter has been laughing at me all the way home........ugh..............
-
Hi all,
Well I started to read back and just gave up! too much and it's too late to try. Next week DH and DS will be out of town so will have more board time!
Shannon - Welcome. It's a great place to be. Just jump right in and tell us about yourself.
Cherryl - Your Harry Potter party sounds great. Wish I was there.
Cheri - I'm doing ok. How are you my fine friend? Is that ankle of yours getting better? Sure hope so. Anything new to not give a rats ass about lately? LOL
Marsha - Wild women huh? hehehehehehe So glad you got an afghan.
Angel - Surgery tommorrow? yes? Will be holding you close in my prayers.
Vickie - Glad Nate is getting better.
Karen - I was also told that BC increases the chances of colon cancer. I'm also suppose to have a colonoscopy. Haven't done it yet.
Ok can't remember any more from my scanning.
Love to all. Sweet dreams.
Sue -
We have a second Texas girl in the house.........yippeee ya yea!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Good evening everyone.
I meant to post this picture yesterday but never got around to it. Here is a picture of us getting married.
We got married on a ship named the Ecstasy. Our family joined us for the ceremony and a delicious lunch buffet. Afterwards, family got off the ship and we sailed off on a week's cruise. It was very romantic and so much fun. All we had to do was show up. They took care of everything.
Vickie - Glad to hear Nate's fever broke and he is doing better. I love the smiley's
Alwayshope Im not sure what HR did with my insurance forms. I signed up for Cigna PPO and now I received my ID card listing Cigna POS but most upsetting is that they have given me a PCP I never heard off. Not good. The plan does not begin until 8/01 so I will be calling tomorrow to get it straighten out. Goodness, just another example we always have to be vigilant when it comes to our healthcare.
Hey Peter
Nickie you met your DH at a pub and I met mine at a club. Who says it cant be done?
Eachday thanks for keeping up thought of the day thread. I really enjoy it. Your post about rainy brought back childhood memories. Good old days. Have you seen the thread For those of us born between 1930 1979? http://community.breastcancer.org/ubbthr...rt=7#Post608868
So many childhood memories.
Margaret Wow 30 miles to the nearest Olive Garden? I guess that is one excuse to stay away from the pasta.
Charlene good luck tomorrow hope it turns out to be uneventful. Ill be praying for you tomorrow.
Marsha Dustin is so funny. Such a typical boy, all about farts and burps.
Liz It sounds like you are enjoying your bathroom renovation. Are you almost done. Home improvement projects are so rewarding. Olive Garden's Lasagna is my favorite too. It was delicious.
Susan - good luck on the job search. It sounds like you had a good interview and they will probably hire you.
Boy, I'm exhausted now, calling it a night. Good night everyone. Be back mañana.
Love and hugs, -
Have a few minutes before I have to meet a friend for dinner.
Cheri, don't forget me tomorrow for Charlene's procedure. You're going to have to go easy on me - it's boot camp morning tomorrow.
Shannon, I've heard Tammy Faye looks pretty bad. I think it's that karma thing going around.
Susan, fingers crossed for the job. I want pics of Pinkstock.
Jeannie, is Move Free better than glucosamine/chondroitin? Where do I get it?
Karen, hope it stays clear for the concert. By the way, my sister won't be 50 until September but the ins. is paying for her colonoscopy next week. I think it's the way they write it up too. She has stomach issues now and with the BC, gastro says she really needs to have it checked. My lucky hubby is taking both of us next Thursday (don't want to do it, wahhhhh).
Vickie, stepdaughter's bridal shower is Aug. 4 so no can do Pinkstock, and with the wedding the following month, money is flying out faster than it's coming in.
Cheri, you think they can't drive in TX when it snows, you out to try California!
Susan, my hair straightened out as it got longer and it's nice and thick now.
EachDay, I told you that we'd be seeing more of you. Glad to have you around.
Sheri, I think that sucks about the picnic. Didn't they send out notices before that no family was allowed? Mine is tomorrow and my grandkids are going.
Time's up for now. BBL.
Margaret -
Well ladies it's time for my nightly walk around the perimeter before I fall asleep. It's raining pretty hard but it's ok...it's warm and I'm taking Eachdays advice and gonna jump in some puddles and leave some sailboats on my journey around the circle to tuck you all in for the night.
Need to wake our dear brother Peter first...my goodness...it seems he has disappeared on us tonight. Hmmm....maybe he's sleeping in in which case I'll try to be quiet. Wait just a minute here...lots of AWOL gils and now Peter...is there something we don't know LOL.
Well howdy Shannon...pull up a chair by the fire and join right in. You will be just like family before you know it. We have lots going on but don't worry about keeping up, just jump right in wherever you feel comfortable. Sweet dreams to our new sisters.
Odalys...oh my what a beautiful picture! Ecstasy...hmmm...now that's quite a name for a ship LOL. Aren't the smileys fun.
Margaret...how is your body feeling from boot camp...are you still able to walk or are you like i would be and need a wheelchair right about now? Tylenol, a heating pad and gentle hugs for you tonight. Wish I were in California...I'd take the wedding photos for you.
Jan...wait till you see this dress! OMG...it is really coming together now. I didn't think I could do it but it's working. Everyone bring a pink or white tank top so you can model the skirt. My top may fit some of you but not all.
Shopmama Pam...where are you ...we miss you and worry when we don't hear from you.
Denise...if you want me to call Robin tomorrow just pm me her number and I'll call. I don't mind at all. Sweet dreams to you.
cherryl...is massage safe if you have lymphedema...I have mild lympodema in my right arm and hand and don't want to make it worse with massage or do that leave that area alone...I know...dumb question...heehee.
Shokk...Little Orphan Annie's grandmother...pppfffttt...I'm sorry but I bet you are beautiful anyways. Happy dreams sweet lady.
Gus...I agree...have a party...you deserve it. Love ya and sweet dreams dear girl. The skirt will fit and you will look beautiful.
Colleen...giving you a gentle hug tonight...pleasant dreams (or revenge dreams...whichever suits you LOL).
Marsha dear you can turn the heat up and uncover from the afghan now. Glad it made you happy. I know how I felt when I got the box...omg...bawled like a baby I was so very happy. Don't forget...I'll be table dancing just for you in my Glenda dress. (look out ladies!)
Sue...thanks...I was really getting freaked out about Nate to be honest but all is well. Good night and sleep tight. Hugs to you.
Liz...can't wait to meet you too..I am really getting excited now. Going to pack this weekend LOL. Gotta be ready to fly when the day comes!
Ha...figured out how to get DD to call...send her a present! Little brat that she is (teasing...I couldn't make it without her even when I'm mad at her). She collects anything Snow White and I found a Snow White Christmas Barbie at the Salvation Army the other day for 6 bucks! Oh is she excited! You'd think I bought her a new car or something. It's great to have kids that are so easy to please.
Well, I'm a little soggy from my rounds and done playing in the puddles. Really tired and sorry to all I missed, Madison, Cheri, Jan, Jasmine, Betty, Anne, Shel, Sherloc, Mean, Puppy, Gina, Jankay, Karen, Shirley (heehee...thanks for the myspace comment...I'll send one back tomorrow)...every single one of you...sweet happy dreams. I will see you in the morning.
Peter...where are you hiding?
love and hugs all around
Vickie
Like some brilliant diamond
Sparkling through the night
The firefly travels along the air on its flight
Away it flies like a mystical being
Leaving a trail of light that can be seen
How I look upon this little creature in wonder
With all its golden lighted splendor
To see this exuberant sight for the first time
Must have caused a stir of fearful minds
This little spark going from here to there
Dragging a lighted path for me to share
Oh how I wish I could join in the flight
My wondrous diamonds of the night -
Angel..hope you are getting a good nights sleep. All will be well and we will all be with you tomorrow. Get ready for your magic carpet ride. Gentle hugs.
Vickie -
Liz and Margaret--
I buy my Move Free at BJ's---get twice as much for the same price I was paying at the drug/grocery store. Has no effect on hormone status---I am ER+ and watch that stuff pretty close too.
Charlene---you'll be home before you know it. We'll all be riding along with you. We used to bring a chocolate fountain to these appointments and proceedures---should we bring it along for you? Gets a little messy with Cheri's loop de loops but hey, it's chocolate. We used to blame the mess on Amy's Mazer (he's a cute little baby donkey who comes along) but that's really not fair!
I met SO on a blind date----a loooong time ago. Looks like we will finally be getting married the second half of next year if I don't chicken out----sure wish I knew what 62 year old brides are supposed to wear!
Odalys----speaking of which----you were a gorgeous bride! I'm sure you are still a gorgeous wife.
Shannon---welcome to the wagon circle. Pull up a log and tell us a little about yourself. You will really like it here.
Sleep tight all----wish me luck on The Hunt For MB tomorrow.
Jeannie -
Oooops---I meant Angel. Geez, I know who both of you are but keep mistyping myself!
-
Off to work on more pics, have a great night ladies and good morning Peter.
-
Jeannie - Thanks. I was a nervous wreck. Wow, a blind date, cool. Let us know when you are getting married so we can have a cyber wedding reception for you. I suggest you wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. It's your special day.
-
shoot shoot shoot, I did it again, pasted instead of copy. Darn it all. It was a long one too. O well. I'll recap in the morning. See ya
-
woohoo Jeannie...62 year old brides can wear anything they damn well please! If you get married in Ithaca at one of the Falls I can do your photos...no charge! How exciting!
-
Charlene go to bed.......you will do just fine tomorrow......the hardest part will be Cheri's driving and its not that she is a bad driver she just drives really fast...get some rest chica..........who in the heck is going to get married......Jeannie......we are actually going to have a cg's wedding.......how exciting......sure we can come up with some marrying clothes........its the bridal shower that's going to be fun........Odayls what a beautiful bride......your husband looks so happy.......ok chicas will be back in the morning.......everyone have a great night.....Gina hope you are doing well.....I say a prayer for you everyday..........check in when you can and please let us know how you are feeling........the good, the bad, and the ugly......we all love you so...........
-
Evening all,
Shokk - yes, I had the best day I've had in while today, finally feeling less tired (which probably means I'm feeling less depressed!) and had a dinner out in Boston tonight with some girlfriends and it was really fun! How are you? I'm only on noon today in reading posts so I hope you had a good lunch!
Susan - My mom worked at the local library once she retired from being a secretary - she loved it. I hope the interview went well.
MB - uh oh! sounds like a case of "but I still have checks left"! Thanks for the pat on the back and you said it - I am blessed to have such a great kid!
EachDay - my son asked me if they had cell phones "when I was born" today LOL, it's funny the stuff they have just never even heard of!
Catherine - Hi there, nice to see you! I recognize your picture but I'm not sure if we've ever "met" here!
Jeannie - That's funny, there is definitely an element of I am "too good/nice" of a person that used to make Tim uncomfortable in a way - like he could never live up to my standards. The ironic thing is that my standards are just that - mine, I don't expect others to be me or do what I do. Oh well, it's not actually Tim that I cared about hurting (I was trying to hurt him! LOL) I was more concerned about having them caught in the crossfire and making them uncomfortable, cause I like all three of them. Oh well, I suppose everyone is allowed to do one rotten thing per lifetime. And I also like the Dr. Phil-ism "you'd worry a whole lot less about what people thought of you if you knew how infrequently they thought of you at all!" Meaning, they might have momentarily thought, "gee, what a rhymes with witch" but they probably pretty quickly got back to their own lives!
Cheri - good to hear you got some good sleeping in, and I love the visual of Amber dancing and laughing with her boys - brings a smile to my face!
Sheri - oh my! yesterday was no picnic - literally! DH totally looks like John Travolta in that picture - you MIL is off base!
Amy - I'm glad to hear the funeral went as well as it could. How nice for you mom and you all that so many people came, it's so meaningful when people make the effort to come and pay their respects. How nice that your nephew's poem was read at the funeral (and awful that he couldn't be there in person!) YOu take really good care of yourself over these next few days and weeks...
Shannon - I saw one quick flash of a picture, but it was kind of out of my eyesight. I'm glad I didn't see more. I once saw on women on Oprah (extensive mets and clearly near the end) and it freaked me right out. Your name seems familiar to me, but I'm not sure if we've "met" either - welcome and hello if you're new to the circle, and hi again if you're not LOL (chemo brain is my excuse of the day!)
Iris - Do you have a bigger screen now, or have you just become skilled with your little screen? LOL How are you?
Karen - Hope you were able to dodge the rain and enjoy your concert! Oh-da-leese (I think) not oh-dallas (as I was pronouncing it!)
Vickie - hope the fact that Nate is starving means he is feeling better! When we were on vacation I had to tell Warren to stop telling me he was starving. I told him he wasn't allowed to use that word unless he hadn't eaten in 3 days, not 3 hours!! Keeping my fingers crossed on the job for you!
Shirley - I loved the Eagles!
Angel - thinking of you sweetie!
Sue - Wow! congrats on 3 years! I'm glad you're in a better place - anniversaries still freak me out (not that I've had many of them - YET!!) And yes, jumping back in is the way to go - I missed at least 3 pages this week myself!
Liz - I actually enjoyed the Harry Potter books (though I will read absolutely anything!) Warren was too young when they first came out, but got the first one as a gift so I started to read it to him. It was a little too scary at the time, but I read the rest of it - I was hooked! Thanks for the words of support, although I'd rather not be alone, I would rather be alone than be with someone who was obviously going to eventually hurt me anyway!
Denise - hope you got a good nights sleep!
Uh-oh everyone, only at 9pm posts, and I'm running out of steam - love to all I missed, A to Z, sleep tight
Vickie - revenge dreams! tee hee! love you soul sister!
Nicki - where are you? must have missed a post? hope all is well with you! -
Oh my, a wedding. Jeannie that is absolutely fantastic!!!
Charlene, the magic carpet will come to Georgia to pick me up. We will all be with you. Cheri, please watch for aircraft, we are across the highway from the air force base. It may be hard to explain the magic carpet on the radar!!! We meet the base commander tomorrow.
I need to read back to check on all
Madison
Just read all the posts. Busy day in the circle.
Sending hugs from amy to z -
The angel pictured above looks just like my Audrey did when she was 3...
I went to Audrey's last softball practice before her last All Star tournament tonight, then to wally world, and finally got home a bit after 9. A skunk tried to cross my path but I waited in my mini van until he left before I went in the house. I wonder if that was some kind of omen? lol Played games with Ava, Audrey and Marilyn and here I am with a glass of wine and cheese & crackers. No food after midnight.
Wow, I'm just feeling so comforted to know that you'll all be with me tomorrow. Cheri's driving .. Woo Hoo!!!!!! Cheri, I Know I'll be safe, even with your loops! YES, please bring the chocolate fountain! Eat some Moose Tracks for me too Iris Angel! Amy's Mazer is a baby donkey? I want to make a joke about that but I think I'll let it go! I'm hanging in there Vickie, will probably pop an Ativan in the morning though. I'm going to take all y'all's advice (my sister's Texas talk is rubbing off) and get some rest so I'm not going to have time to address each of you as I usually like to. I'm thinking of all of you though and will miss you so much until I can get back here. I'll hold you close and know you're with me tomorrow. Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers. I really feel honored to have you all along for the ride.
Oh yeah, I have to be there at 10:30 a.m. ... I forgot to ask what time the actual surgery is..duh!..but I imagine it's anywhere from 11:00 a.m. to noon.
Oh, Shirley - It was the mouse butt (thanks Marsha!) posting to G that got wiped out.... once I get on MySpace I'll send it to you! You too Cheri!
A special hello to Shannon (my Ava's middle name!).
Oh and Jeannie, I'm Charlene And Angel ... Marsha is someone else entirely. She's a cool girl to get mixed up with so I don't mind!
Love you all from Amy to Z
Charlene -
Good evening all. Most of you are all tucked snugly in your beds. Hoping all of you are resting peacefully. Except for Peter and he should be around here somewhere.
Liz, we'll be by to pick you up on the Magic Carpet early in the morning.
Margaret, we might have to take a few min. in the morning to run in and use Liz's new bathroom. lol
Madison, instead of warning me about aircraft you should probably warn the aircraft about us. Bubble wrap-up.
Shokk, speed kills I'm more into the big wide loops when i drive the Magic Carpet. Most of the girls must like my driving because they all squeal with glee when we hit that first loop.
Boo my friend, thank you for asking about my ankle/foot. I think it might be doing alright. I've noticed I can bear a little more weight than I could before so hopefully I'll get a camboot on Aug. 2 when I have to go back.
Shannon, welcome home. That's what this Circle will feel like after you've been here awhile. Pull up a log by the fire and share your story with us and we'll get acquainted.
Amy, yessirree, I am driving in the morning. I don't think Charlene has ever had the pleasure of being on the Carpet with us so she's in for such a treat.
Eachday, i love reading your posts. You seem like you've been in the Circle for a long time. I can't let my hair go natural either.
Gus, yes I do believe you did read that. The devil made me do it. hahaha
Vickie, you picked Puppys house first for the Cyber par-tay tomorrow night, then Charlenes then Jankays? We all need to know what states they all live in so we can prepare for the trips. Let's have some fun.
Susan, I'd guess that you'll get the library job since you made them laugh. I want pics from Pinkstock. You know, I still am seeing your old avatar. Maybe tomorrow my computer will decide to show me your new one.
Hey Janny, Iris and Marsha. Wishing everyone from Amy to Z a restful nights sleep.
Colleen, you mentioned Amber dancing with her boys. Ethan said the other night his Mama was funny and thats where he got his sense of funny from. lol
It occured to me tonight that I think I must've missed my onc follow-up and my port flush. I haven't been there since a week before my surgery on May 12th! Haven't even thought about it. Tomorrow is friday but i've got to call my oncs office and find out. I know I need a port flush! I'm freaked about it. I just don't think much about the bc cause I'm concentrating on this leg/ankle. I don't know if I can get back in my house after I get out and I can't drive. I've driven left footed many times but this cast is bulky and will get in the way. But I do have sisters that will come take me. It's been 8 or 9 weeks since a port flush and that's too long. I've never had a bit of trouble with it...once they finally got it in. I cannot believe that I just didn't even think about it. It's time for a mammogram just anytime too. But the port is what I'm scared about.
Wishing all a good nights sleep.
pals
Cheri -
Good Morning Everyone: Well I figured I would beat all of our Sunshine Sisters today. Woke up at 4am and just couldnt fall back to sleep. But at least no TV on last night so I slept pretty good.
And TGIF! This has been one busy long week for me.
Charlene: Im dressed and ready for the magic carpet ride. If Cheri is driving, its gonna be a heck of a ride. I know you will just do fine in surgery. Me - I will be in the surgical suite with you, arms crossed - being the Italian nurse I am - I will make sure all those doctors and nurses are behaving themselves. Good luck today and remember we are all with you. Oh and dont forget! Distorted umor will be there too. He is my retired race horse who is in love with Mazer. when they are together - well lets just say anything can happen.
Cheri: Sorta funny how bc took the back stage to your ankle/foot surgery. Seems like it is always the first thing on our minds. My onc told me to get my port flushed every 6 weeks - so yu are late, but I still think it will be ok. I was thinking that maybe you can get a home health nurse to come do the flush at your home - since you are considered home bound. Just a thought. Glad to hear the ankle is progressing. Cant wait to hear that you are able to walk again.
Colleen: Im here, Im here. Guess Im feeling better, cause work has been keeping me quite busy. got home so late last night could only pop in and say hello. I must say you are sounding good. Looks like you passed another milestone - love to hear the depression is getting better. I bet going out with your friends was a blast. I personally am glad you answered that email the way you did. Sell the ring and get yourself something nice.
Jeannie: I havent read your post yet, but from what others are saying your getting married? Whoo hoo. Dont think we have had a wedding in the wagon circle. What fun this is gonna be.
Susan: When I applied for my last job - the one Im working at now, my cell phone rang while I was in the middle of the second interview. The song was "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." The people interviewing me just started laughing and said " you have a great personality." I knew right then and there I got the job.
Tracey: Where is our Snowmen in Thongs. Ive been missing you alot. Sure seems like your new job is keeping you busy.
Vickie: Im so glad Nate is better. Thanks for the evening post of yours. Help me catch up, cause I really am lost. Cant believe how much we all talk in 24 hours.
Since so many are talking about Tammy I thought I would put in my 2 cents. Being a nurse for 37 years now, I have seen more than my fair share of death. Its never pretty. Whether its from a stroke, alzheimers, cancer, heart disease, etc. I turned Larry King on for 10 seconds, when I saw her I thought, what ever happened to dying with dignity. I must say, she probably looks the worse of anyone I have seen! Dont think its right that she is going on television. I believe she is really scaring alot of people. Life changes, we get older, and really what choice do we have? Live our lives to the fullest while we have time is my motto.
Karen: I hope you enjoyed the Dylan concert. One of my favorites thats for sure. First of all let me say, Im a bad girl, cause Im 57 and havent had a colonoscopy. Whenever they mention it I change the subject. You do fit the protocol for having one though. They say to get one at age 50. Wonder if a letter from the doctor to the insurance company would help. Sometimes it just a matter of using the proper wording.
The birds are finialy awake and singing. When I was younger I would dread to hear that sound - meaning I had stayed up all night and it was time to go to bed. But now I sure do love to hear them in the morning.
Vickie: What kind ofjob did you inteview for? Hoping this one goes your way.
Marsha: So glad to hear you got an afghan. Its a special gift isnt it?
EachDay: When my hair grew back from chemo it came in salt and pepper. Actually more salt than pepper and my natural color is black/brown. I thought I would go natural until one day I went to Kohls and they gave me a senior citizen discount. Went right out to the hairdressor and got it colored.
Sue/Gus: Good news on the 3 year cancerversary. Hard to believe 3 years have gone by? We must celebrate with you this weekend.
Liz: Im feeling good today so I think I was having a reaction to the heat and humidity. Maybe allergies. Im just glad that it wasnt another cold. I dont think I could handle that again so soon.
Sheri: What a picnic fiasco! I gotta tell you though, your husbands boss sounds like a big jerk. Put you all in a terrible situation. Im also figuring if your husband just left with you, this is the kind of boss that would have given him hell. The company I work for never has family affairs. Any parties are employees only.
Shannon: good to see you posting. Im hoping Larry Kings show didnt upset you too much. I couldnt watch it. Just turned my stomach. Oh and BTW - Im so glad you found the wagon circle. Its a great place, lots of friendship, lots of fun, and lots of support.
Denise: You sound as busy as I am. Trying hard to keep up here - but feel like Im drowning fast. Im so glad the week-end is here as I will have more computer time then.
CherylHolt: I suppose if I had children of the right age, I would be more into Harry Potter. I know the books and movies are loved by many.
Jan: I must have missed something. Where are you going this week-end? Hope you will have a great time.
Shokk: Little Orphan Annies grandmother? OMG - must have ltos of curls. Im still trying to figure out what to do with mine.
Sue:Boo: Good to see you post and hoping all is going well.
Odalys: The wedding picture is great, and sure sounds like it was fun! POS? Seems like that is the newest alternative to PPO. Had the same thing happen to me with Unicare. But, if Im not mistaken, with a POS you can choose your own doctor as long as they are part of the insurance program. These insurance companies are just getting so out of hand and its making me crazy. Seems like companies keep changing insurance - so does that mean we need to find new doctors each time? I would be really upset. I will not switch from my PCP or any other of my doc!
Well I went back as far as I could. Looks like I will be changing my hours at work. 2-3 days a week will start hitting the hospitals at 7:00am cause thats when the doctors are making rounds. That is gonna really cut into my computer time. Hoping everyone has a wonderful day.
