    Jasmine,
Don't know where you live, but let me tell you what's going on in Oak Park for the Harry Potter release party. My church is a Gothic structure built in early 1900. We're transforming it into Gryffindor Hall. I will be Prof McGonagall, of course. We're going to be open all night for people to get their books and come by for hospitality, food and drink and read through the night. Can you stop by?????

Minerva/Cherryl, I thnk that your celebration will be the end all of celebrations. My ds is going as Neville with his new girl friend (please do not confuse it or you will get "the stare' accompanied by the eye roll) and she is going to be be Luna. Two others are Harry and Ginny. He and Colleen have changed their costume ideas 3 times. I hope I remember my camera! Please post pics of the church and of your costume. Don't forget the pheasant feather in your hat! Pass me a butterbeer please!

Hey, if Colleen puts her ring on Ebay, I'll put mine there too! I still haven't sold that POS and I don't want to "leave it" to anyone I love because my ex assrat (HA!) may have touched it one too many times, (I know he touched me one too many times hahahaha) and left his neg energy on it...(of course I've gone over myself with coarse sandpaper and paint remover, so I'm clean. And I've been blessed with holy water from Lourdes -- really).

I meant to tell you about a phenomenal movie I rented the other night and thoroughly enjoyed: "Running With Scissors". My kind of movie...anybody see it? Cheri, you would like this movie!

Amy, I hope today went as well as possible honey.

Pups, storming the gates of Heaven for you, my friend.

Sleep well sisters and is brother supposed to be up now? I'm not sure how it works with Peter. Somebody help me out with our brother's hours...

Oh! Adrionna...remember that little angel you sent me? I took her to bed with me a couple nights ago, in the palm of my hand, and now I can't find her...odd, huh? She can't have gone far...See? I told you all. I really, really use everything that gets sent to me!

After reading about Robin's absence and being a fellow metster, why doesn't someone give her a call? I would if I had her number. She may be really ill or going through a mets mental slump. It happens. Or maybe her husband is being a real lout again. Could be anything. I don't know Robin very well, but I know what the disease does to us. I'd be happy to reach out to her if someone wants to give me the number...xo

Hey DebC- if you're around, I gotta tell you, the guy infront of me, tonght ath the grocery store had on the best T-shirt... the back of it read (something like this)

    Feed The Bears
Let your kids rid the Moose
Sky Dive off a Cruise Ship
    (and something else)
    Paramedics of Alaska

I loved that shirt, have you seen something like it before? Such a cutie and what was he doing in the Mid West?

    Beth,
Oooooh, How I wish you were here. Grace has a reputation already. In the first "Home Alone" movie, when the kid goes into the Church and was talking to the unidentified man-- that was Grace Church, Oak Park!!!!!!!

My 15 yar old god daughter is going to be Nymphadora Tonks, complete with pink hair.

I'll post pics on Saturday as soon as I recover. Keep your wand close by. Troubled times are at hand!!!!

Well, I guess I can't say "it" either!!! Maybe I was just too loud about it! lol

Photobucket won't load for me so no cool pics tonight ...

My sister Marilyn made it safely and it's a joy having her here. She's the oldest sibling and my being the youngest she was always motherly toward me. It's nice having that right now. Ava is slowly warming up to her but can sense something is going on and is very weepy. It wasn't so long ago that I disappeared a lot after my BLM because I couldn't pick her up and she always wanted me to. It was easier to be in my room away from her then have to reject her all the time. Sigh, that part of my upcoming surgery sucks.

Shirley - That'll be a lovely birthday gift to your daughter! How old will she be? I look forward to seeing the quilt after Pinkstock! That is amusing about quitting bad habits but it's cool. Hey, if it's a good motivator don't knock it! I wish you the best with the cigs. I've been at that most of my life now and still just thinking about quitting. "He can just be crabby"... ROFL! Too funny! I guess I've resigned myself to the house never being how I want it. You're right, it's just too crazy while the kids are young for it to be!

Colleen - I'm glad you did something that made you feel better! I'm so sorry for what happened to you and Warren, I didn't realize how it happened until I read what you emailed. You are better off you know .. a man who does what he did cannot be trusted. Be glad it ended before you were more committed. You Will find love again.

Shokk - holy cow, that's a lot of money for a downpayment .. I hope my girls don't need braces but it seems everybody gets them these days!

Madison - have fun in Georgia! I used to live there when I was five!

Jeannie - that's too funny about the boobs .. don't have a clue what to name mine though! I guess I need to wait until I actually have them for some inspiration! You sure are going through alot .. big hugs for you.

Suz - thank you for the happy belated anniversary! Wow, you're busy, no wonder you're stressed! Good luck at the pcp, hoping for no surprises for you.

Denise - Okay, I'll be the Princess of Procrastinating! I like the way you think about the housework! Your posts are so funny .. laughing out loud, love how you write. btw, you were Very productive on here tonight! lol

Cheri - that's the sad part about children .. they Do grow waaay too quickly! Great minds is right Can you believe my post is gone???

Liz - I really hope that takes care of the pain for you. It doesn't seem like anything would slow you down!

Susan - Good luck on your job interview!

Eachday - your posts are very comforting .. love them. Wishing you a wonderful day.

SoCal - glad you're still around .. the picture is just beautiful!

Vickie - you're such a sweet and funy woman! Loved your poem, just beautiful.

Nicki - I hope you and DH had a fabulous dinner out!

Jasmine - ahh, that's okay ... it was funny while it lasted! I guess it was just too vivid. Thank you for posting what Erma Bombeck wrote. It really makes you think. Great words to live by! I believe you're right .. since my dx I definitely have a different perspective on everything and some things just aren't so important right now!

Odalys - hahaha .. kids are Great aren't they?! Love the story of how you met your DH. Happy Anniversary!

Well I'm starting to see double from the fatigue .. only one glass of wine so that can't be it, just waaay past bedtime.. I hope I didn't miss anyone, you guys were chattering away like crazy today!
Hello to Gus, Cherryl, Sherri, Marsha, Iris Angel, Christine, Jankay, Mena, (((((Puppy))))), Karen, Beth, Gina (wonder if you saw my post for you before it disappeared!) ...

Good morning all...and omg Peter ROFLMBO...that is just too funny and I love it!! Wonder if that would work for me heehee!
Good morning Jankay...hope your day is easier today.
Rise and shine Nicki dear...it's almost Friday!
Christine...I am feeling the same way you are about Pinkstock and the end of the month of for me is really crazy. I guess I'll just wing it and hope for the best.
Angel...3am and you're up and posting...when in the world do you sleep! Have a great day and try not to stress too much, the babies won't even remember so that's one good thing. They will be fine, there will be lots of prayers for them and you too. Hugs for the day.
Nate still has a temp...nothing is working...I am taking him to work with me and if he isn't better this afternoon I'm calling the doctors. He says he feels fine this morning so why the high fever? I don't get it. I have my own office with a sofa so he'll be comfy there and I have to go in. I so need this other job!
Love ya all and I'll catch up later...I am missing soooo many in my post...just can't keep up lately.

Hello Everyone: Yes Im up late. I had one of those sleepless nights where DH had the television on all night. I feel like I woke up every hour. Hoping my coffee does the trick.

I tossed and turned - sweating all night. Woke up and my hair looks like I styled it! I could never get it to look this way if I tried.

Vickie: I havent read back so I do know what you posted earlier. What did the doctor say yesterday about Nate? Poor littly guy still having a temp. Hope he is better real soon.

Jankay: Cold hands, warm heart. When you can type I want to hear all about your hair cut.

Peter that pic is so funny. got a good laugh this morning. I think tired is my middle name sometimes.

Charlene: I cant believe how late you were up. Where do you get your energy? When I got home last night, I noticed photobucket changed/added things. So maybe they were working on yours and thats why you couldnt down load. I love photobucket. What time is your surgery tomorrow? Need to get the magic carpet cleaned and ready. You would be surprised at how many of us fit on it.

Mena: Its so good to see you posting again. Your such a character. I havent seen the movie Running With Scissors but I remember when I was first diagnosed alot of people on the chat told me to read the book. I might have to check it out and watch it on a day my DH is off playing at a pub.

Gosh: Some of you are really into Harry Potter. Would you believe I have not read one book or seen one movie!

Odalys: I just love Olive garden. What a nice place to go for dinner. They have low carb pasta there too so thats where I go when I get a craving for pasta. I met my DH at a pub. Danced to the boogie woogie boy of company B.

Jasmine: Its funny. When I saw my PCP a month ago, I was whining about getting too many colds. He said maybe its allergies. I just blew him off. But after the other day, Im wondering. Im still seeing lots of people in the hospitals with pneumonia and bronchitis, and Im washing my hands to the point that they are very dry. I do believe work does keep me a healthy busy.

Laura: So glad your daughter is home.

Denise: Looking all over for you. Must have missed one of your posts.

Cheri: Same to you. Didnt see a post, but then my time is limited and I can only go back so far - then it seems like my time is up.

SoCal: Loved the photo of the fireworks. Sue was pretty.

Susan: 2 glasses of wine and fading away. Now that I can relate to.

My how time flies. Need to go hit the showers. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Buenos dia chicas y buenas noche Pedro. (good morning girls and good evening Peter)

Vickie - sorry to hear Nate is still running a fever. Poor guy. It sounds like he may need antibiotics.

Peter - funny. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face first thing in the morning. Yes, I used to be conservative when I was in my twenties. Not any more. Did I read you are having surgery soon?
I think I missed your initial post. I'm going to see if I can go back this weekend to find it.

Shokk - Si, soy Cubana Americana. What are the chances you would find a Cuban in Miami? LOL! BTW- love arroz con frijoles negros, lechon, y platanos maduros. Do I need to translate the menu?

Charlene - I also missed your post about your upcoming surgery. Geeze...I think I have missed too many posts. When and what surgery are you having?

Mena - love to see you haven't lost your wacky sense of humor. You always crack me up!

Oops, lost track of time. I got to run, work awaits. BBL. Have a great day everyone.

Love and hugs from A to Z. Asta luego.

Morning all. No boot camp for me this morning so I'm catching up. I didn't read last night because I was trying to find a Thai dish to bring to my cooking club on Sunday. Anyone have a great Thai recipe?

Denise, I'm not going to Pinkstock so won't learn how to use Knifty Knitter. However, do appreciate the personal lesson since I can't seem to get the hang of it. Call Robin just to say hi if you have her numbers. It's been quite awhile since she checked in. AZ in Nov - I would assume will be nice during day, cold at night. You should plan to fly to CA since you're going to be out here anyway. Southwest, United, and now Virgin are having cheap fares.

Tongue mets? Who has tongue mets? I think I missed something.

Susan, love the new avatar. Good luck with the job interview.

EachDay, I told you you would like us. Glad you are posting and dropping in.

Lisa, you always have the most beautiful pics.

Odalys, the only time I get to eat at Olive Garden is when I visit my mother. Hubby is on a diet so he doesn't want pasta and the closest one to me is 30 miles away by my mom's.

Laura, glad you heard from your daughter.

Cherryl, what a great idea of your church hosting a Harry Potter evening.

Peter, didn't rain in my area yesterday but it was gray all morning. Today should be nice.

Vickie, what's up with Nate's fever?

Nicki, I have allergies - start most mornings with a Claritin.

Mena, I love your humor and am glad you are posting again.

Jankay, don't you hate when the computer monster eats your posts?

Time to get up and shower. Everyone have a good day.

Good morning All and Goodnight Peter .. wish I were sleeping too lol

Vickie - wow, was it That late .. no wonder I was falling asleep at my PC. You're right, the babies Won't remember .. I'll remind myself of that. Thank you for the prayers for them as well.

Nicki - Coffee & cigarettes = energy .. lol The wee hour I was on photobucket surely was when they had the server down! I'll find out time of surgery some time today or tonight. Waiting for the phone call from the hospital. I'll let you all know because I need you all to take that magic carpet ride to me! Hate those sleepless nights .. hope you get through today okay.

Odalys- Buenos dia to you! I'm having expanders installed on Friday! eeeks, that's tomorrow already! deep breath ...

Margaret - I lived in Thailand for 3 years when I was a kid. Love the food. Alas, I don't cook so have no recipes to share. I'm sure someone will.

Laura - what a relief .. Hate when the phones die. hmmm, what did we do before cell phones? Find a place with a land line to make that important call to Mom that we're okay! We'll never stop feeling protective of our girls I think, no matter there age.

Jankay - again that darn cyber monster! grrrrrrr

EachDay - Simple pleasures are the best kind

Well off to wake up my SO .. he took today off work and he doesn't know it yet but he's cooking breakfast lol Yep, he's still smiling Shirley!

    Love and hugs

Good morning everyone. (well, good night Peter). Getting ready to head out for zap #22 which is actually boost #5 since my onc likes to do the boosts in the middle. As long as no one throws any more curves my way it looks like I will be done with rads Aug. 3 which is smack in the middle of Pinkstock. Sooooooooo someone dance on a table in my honor, OK? And post pics! I can't wait to see the pictures, I LOVE to be able to put a face to a name/story.

Peter, speaking of faces, maybe you could post a pic of you, we're all dying to see what our big brother looks like! Glad to hear you got your leaking problem fixed matey.

Margaret, are you back to boot camp tommorrow?

EachDay, I enjoy your daily prayers and am really glad to see you posting regularly with us. I loved playing in the rain in my bathing suit!

Odalys, I am guessing black beans and rice, some kind of banana thing and some kind of pork dish? I don't have any of my own kid stories so I use my niece and nephews. Dustin was 5 or 6 and the ring barrier at my other brothers wedding. He's up there all bored looking around at everyone and all of a sudden he spots me, starts giggling and says "Who farted?" I made the mistake of snorting out loud which made him say it again. You laugh at them and that just makes it worse! LOL

Nicki, I'm doing the sweating all night too. So bad sometimes I have to put a towel on my pillow. With NO HAIR to absorb the sweat it is really bad. LOL

Vickie, I hope Nate gets better. Good that you can take him to work with you, at least you can keep an eye on him.

Charlene, I will be thinking of you tommorrow as you get new girls. I have no idea how you keep up with a hubby, 2 kids, surgery and COMPANY. Let big sis play mom for you and get some rest for yourself. You had a post deleted? Well mouse butt!

Cherryl, what fun the Potter Party sounds! And at your church no less. My sister in law would not let my niece and nephew read the Potter series what will all that dangerous witchcraft and all. We got into a huge debate about it, I'm pratically screaming IT'S FICTION. About a year later she is raving on and on about The Lord of the Rings and I am just shaking my head at her. Stupid I tell you, just plain stupid.

Hey Mena, laughing my ass off at scrubbing that man off you. You and Colleen need to sell the ring and splurge on something sinfully decadent (sp).

Beth, thanks for the updates on Puppy, keeping her in my prayers.

Karen, we are still waiting on those pics of you in the Holy Land.

Hey Laura hows the new baby?

Christine, good to see you, I wish I could meet you at Pinkstock!

Jas, loved the Erma poem. Thanks for posting that.

SoCaLisa that was a fabulous picture. You guys were there? How cool is that.

    Where is Betty? And Anne?

CY was really happy to see you posting. Hope you get to the bottom of the blood in the urine soon. Take care of yourself.

Shirley, since when do the Clampetts drive a mini? I don't have a MySpace yet but think I will set one up, that looks like fun. Alot of pickin' fun.

Susan, my my aren't you the glamorous one? So cool and hip looking in those shades. Did you hear that Cheri is hosting Pinkstock next year? Don't you and Christine live near her? Well good, I'm sure she will call you about it!

Cheri, what's up girl? Are you causing trouble anywhere I don't know about?

Boo/Sue, you know I think the short fuse doesn't really need any looking into. After the crap we g o thru, standing up for yourself or not taking crap from people seems to be the norm for most of us now! I'm quite proud of you, just like when you got on that chair and danced like a crazed woman. LOL Love ya

Hi Sheri you getting ready for school to start? Glad you don't have blood cancer or tongue cancer or toenail cancer. Tell you Travolta looking hubby hello for me.

Denise, you Queen of Poop Stories you. Haven't heard one from you lately.

Jankay, I hate it when I lose a post and I know it is even worse for you. I really look forward to your funnies everyday. Is today swim day?? Hope so, I know how much you love it.

I wish DebC would come home. I miss her posts.

Madison, I don't think I told you how beautiful your daughter is. If she looks like that at 5 am, I can just imagine how gorgeous she is all made up. She looks alot like you.

Shokk, I love playing the wild woman. Or the bitch, that is really fun. Tongue virus? Please keep that to yourself. LOL

Amy, hope to hear from you soon. Hugs.

Well as usually I am missing someone I am sure. So as Cheri says, HI Amy to Z. I am going to see two of my best broads in Steel Magnolia tonight. It is their final dress rehersal. The bad news of course was that I didn't get to do the show. The GOOD news is I am going out tonight with 3 guys! hee hee.

    Good morning CG's

DH is on his way home today from a horrible mid year sales meeting back east. The new management is just mean and nasty. They think the way to motivate people is to bully them and put them down. No praise for a job well done. The whole upper management team has changed in the past year and DH is miserable. Time to look for a new job. He is in sales and such a pro, always has the top figures in the company. Can't wait to give him a hug. We have concert tickets to Dylan at Red Rocks tonight (an outside venue) - it looks like it might rain. Oh well, singing in the rain will be fun!!! No refunds for rain!!! Don't know if they ever cancel shows there. WE been to a fair amount of concerts there and had a little rain but no major down pours. Of course in the Rockies it can look like rain and only get 3 drops or rain inone part of the city and not the other- especially in the foothills.

I met CatherineH yesterday. She is a classy lady. We had good time chatting.
Angel - sening you HUGS for tomorrow. When you feel up to it, please post and let us know how you are doing.
Beth - thanks for the update on Puppy.
Suzfive - have fun at the graduation party saturday. congrats to DD and you.
Sheri - sorry that you are having to deal with LE
Peter- I forgot how large the time differencec was - that means from Denver its 17 hours!!!! So its 8am Thursday in Denver, then its Friday 1pm Friday afternoon in MElbourne correct? Did I get that right?
Vickie - sorry to hear that Nate is still running a fever, but glad to hear that he is feeling better. Now don't you go and get sick. Looking forward to seeing your "Glenda" dress
Odalys - so nice to hear that you enjoyed your anniversary and dinner out at Olive Garden - I enjoy their never ending salad and bread sticks
Peter - oh yeah - your jokes are great - both yesterday and today
Jankay- your jokes/stories always put a smile on my face
Nicki - thanks so much for the info on survivor fatigue. I am reading a great book by a MD and cancer survivor called "Happiness in the Storm". Wendy Harpham, MD is the author. She has a great website. I heard her speak on survivorship last month. She is a 3 or 4 time survivor of lymphoma.
Peanutgirl - happy to hear DD made it home all safe and sound - its hard to find a pay phone anywhere in my parts of the woods, so if your cell phone dies, you are kind of stuck.
Silvergirl - did you get results of your hip xrays.
Mena- way to go on selling your house - do you have a new place?

I talked my PCP yesterday about her wanting me to get a physical with her, EKG and colonoscopy (she also mentioned shots one time, but forgot to ask). I have good health insurance but not for "wellness" - that is only $500/year. She said I could forgo the physical with her since I see the onc so often. The two blood tests she wants are thyroid and said to ask onc to do it and the other is cholesteral and I could wait on that. The EKG is baseline since I am over 50. I told her I had one before chemo but she does not have the results, so I will have the hospital send them to her. The big BUT is - she really wants me to have a colonoscopy. She says that because of BC, she considers my moderate to high risk (has anyone else been told this?). So I need to find a way to get it covered. It is submitted under a"V" code and my insurance considers all "V" "wellness". PCP said they needed to include the code for BC- but I don't know if that will make a difference. The GI doc's office says the facility charge is $1200 and the docs bill is $500 or $600. No way does that fit into the budget. I wonder though if the facility charge is part of the "wellness" or seperate. Well lots more calls to the insurance company and GI doc to try to figure this out. I was hoping to do it before I go back to work on 8/13, but it might just have to wait till my school break in October. DH and I are going away for along weekend next month and then I am going to visit my folks for a couple of days and then its the end of my summer vacation.

Wishing everyone from Amy to Z a feel good day. YOU are always close to my heart and in my thoughts. Hugs from Denver. Karen

Good morning sweet chicas......first let me say ah Marsha......ewwwwwwwwwww......not sure what you ment about the tongue virus but of course my mind goes to the sexual...ha......not sure why.............Madison your daughter is so beautiful.....looks very much like her mom.........great pics of you and Liz........Peter not sure why but you have a tendency to make me blush but no hot flashes yet...........Mena congrats on selling the house.....moving on moving on..........Puppy keeping you very much in prayers.....your one tuff cookie.......you will be just fine.......well chicas and Peter tonight I have an appointment to get my hair cut.....the last time I went to my regular gal was Oct of '05....found the lump in Jan. 06 was due for another haircut the next day......anyway the last time anyone cut my hair was the wig guy just before all my hair fell out.....he didn't buzz me just cut it real short.......bawled my eyes out which was strange because I didn't think it would bother me so much........I was alot more upset when the onc told me I would probably gain weight instead of lose weight....thougt I was going on the "cancer diet".....losing my hair at first didn't seem to bother me that much but boy I was wrong about that..........not sure what I am going to have done but I don't want to style it to get rid of the curls......no reason to fight them.....I can blow dry my hair straight but the second I have a hot flash it looks like I have stuck my tongue in a light socket.......brb........

Just wanted to pop in and say it is RAINING here in Denver. We sure need the water, but I hope it stops in time for the Dylan concert tonight.
Need to go get busy and clean the house and do a few other things before I have to get Miriam at lunch. DH will be home soon and I have missed him. Hugs, Karen
