Well son of a pup. I just gotta rant here for a bit. I hate men (with the exception of Peter...and Peter you'd better be careful cuz you know the saying about a women scorned!...heehee) Had a couple of really nice dates and lots of phone conversations with a really nice guy. Calls me a bit ago (I was sleeping on the couch) and slammed me big time. Now get this...he said that I am too giving and too caring and I give and care so much that I give myself away and there is nothing left. WTF...pardon me but what kind of comment is that...where do I even go with a comment like that? How the hell do I even respond? I'm freakin nice damnit...I like being nice...he says I'm not nice, I'm stupid, gullible and easily used.
So tell me ladies...do I need to be different. Sure as hell have NO luck in the man department...what is it they want...a bitch.
sorry for the rant...get my feelings hurt way to easy and this was like a real kick in the stomach.

Ok...gonna walk the perimeter of our wonderful circle and say good night to my sweet family and good morning to Peter.
Peter...hope your day is wonderful and never tell someone that they give so much that they aren't even a person any more or that they are gullible, stupid or easy to take advantage of...it's downright friggin mean. Sorry...not saying one is like all...really hope you have a grand day...need our big brother!
Went to the cyber party but everyone was gone...Eachday was packing some pink panties, I think Cheri passed out, Vera was there for a minute but I missed her (damn if that didn't just top off my night...I miss Vera).
Karen...sorry you're having such a tough time...sending hugs and prayers your way.
Jan...can I go to Maine with you...pretty please...I wanna run away. Have a safe trip...we will miss you.

He is one big fool,Vickie. I am sick of hearing that a person is too nice.In my opinion.he has the prob and is looking for an excuse. Sorry that I do not have more wisdom abt men-relationships.There are good people and crummy ones out there in both men and women's settings
I do not wish to sound judgmental and lumping everyone in one group. Vickie,my friend, what would this group be without kindhearted people like you? Don't ever think abt changing as you are the real thing.I will stop as I will really ramble when annoyed by stupid comments. Thanks for caring as I look forward to reading your posts
    .
All the best to a super person,

had to blow my nose LOL...not laughing though damnit.
Sheri...I love watching thunderstorms and lightning too. I actually ahd some really cool pictures of lightning that I took several years ago.
gonna pop in on our Robin and tell her how much we missed her and let her know that she's gotta at least let us know she's not sittin in jail (never know what's gonna happen with Evil LOL).
Denise...hope your not still on the couch bonding with a man with a remote!
Nicki has crawled off to bed already after changing the title so Peter doesn't get confused heehee. Sweet dreams.
Liz is taking names...makin a list and checkin it twice...I guess I need to be on the naughty side LOL.
Jasmine...where did ya go...sweet dreams dear sister.
Cheri pal...I missed ya at the party...didn't even know where we were. Fell asleep on the couch...would be nice to stay awake once in a while. hugs and love...
Deb...know where have you gone off to? Haven't seen our Alaskan sister in a while and we miss ya. Bugs and fishes. Nate calls you "Aunt Alaska Deb"...confuses everyone. He found some National Geographics at work with Alaska in them and is pretty impressed.
awww Jeannie...isn't it always something. I know my car needs tires too and soon. I am hoping to hold out till winter and get winter tread instead of buying summer tires now and winter tires later. Really have to have the winter tires out here where I live...the all season radials will get you no where. I've actually become a half way decent mechanic...looks like its a good thing...I just may stay that way.
Iris is back...I think...I am a Stephen King fan too...I have the uncut version of "The Stand" and read it every five or six years. I like his older stuff better than his newer stuff too. His newer stuff is too much fluff and a bit too weird to follow. Sweet dreams.
Madison...where did you go? Sweet dreams...are you counting down to Pinkstock?
Ok...I'm really sorry to all I'm gonna miss but I can't do it tonight...gonna be a big baby and go suck my thumb in the corner of the pissy tent.
I love ya...each and every one and I'd do anything for any one of you...if that makes me gullible and less of "myself"...whatever that is supposed to mean...so be it. It wasn't like I wasn't always available to help him out whenever he needed it too...along with his kids. Jerk.
I'll wake up happy...hugs all around

We are all super people here so I guess he wouldn't like any of us. I was just sitting here thinking about that and realized that I'm no different than any of you. You are all as nice as I am...we are the best family anyone could ask for.

    Hello Everyone,

I haven't had the pleasure of meeting anyone on this thread yet, but I've heard so much about all of you from Charlene. I feel that I know you already! I want to start by thanking all of your from the bottom of my heart for all of the Love and support that you have shown her over the past several weeks. You are all so very special to her and she holds all of you dear to her heart.

You bring her such love, support, and joy. For that I am deeply greatful.

She had requested that I jump on this thread to let everyone know how her day went. Her reconstruction surgery took place at 12:30 this afternoon and went very well! According to her plastic surgeon, there were no complications and she got through it like a real trooper (No surprise here). She was home and resting peacefully in bed by 6:30EST. She's in a lot of pain but is taking percocet to help keep it at bay. Also, her plastic surgeon placed 100cc's of saline in the tissue expanders so he's experiencing some back pain as well but I believe that within the next day or two she will be feeling better and more mobile.

She's been placed on a 10lb lifting restriction for the next two weeks so, to avoid having to dissapoint my daughter, she will more than likely seclude herself to our bedroom until she's feeling more capable of dealing with that.

Well, I guess that's it for now. Upon her request I will continue to post here so that you can all be kept up to speed with how she's doing until she is capable of doing so on her own.

Again, that you all so very much for accepting her into your very special family.

Karl...oh my goodness thank you so very much. Our Angel girl has been on our minds all day and you are one very sweet man. So glad for the update and let her know that she is in all our thoughts and prayers. I know that she was more worried about the babies than herself...I'm glad she is home though.
She is a very important part of our family here...as is everyone.

thanks Peter...I gotta tell ya though...I have been so nice all my life and I truly get the short end of the stick every single time I turn around. It's ok though...I've been deleting toxic people from my life for the past week so he'll just be another one gone "poof"...history.
hugs and good night (for me anyway...good morning to you)

whelp lost my long post last night. Not gonna go back. To much darn work. And we all know I'm lazy. Had a lovely day with SIL. Niece just got home from Iraq. She is home on leave for a couple of weeks then back to Hawaii where she is stationed.
Hope everyone had a splendid day.

Odalys, what a beautiful bride you made. I don't have wedding pictures cause our photographer was a friend of my husbands and dear hubby talked him out of the negatives. 27 years later he still hasn't printed them. One of these days I just might get it done myself.

    Jeannies getting married? WOOHOO!!!

    Colleen, what ryhmes with witch?

Cheri, did you call your onc about getting your port flushed?

Denise, ended up on the runway surrounded by cops? Why doesn't that surprise me?

Shannon, work is over rated. Glad you found us.

EachDay, hahahahhahahhah, to funny. When I met with the surgeon a few weeks ago about my colonoscopy he asked me why my regular surgeon wasn't doing it. I said cause Dr Drakes(onc) sent me to you. He said "I understand that Dr Mier(surgeon) really likes doing surgery. I really like playing with the scope"....YIKES!!!

Shokk, we need a picture of this new do.

Hi Robin, good to see you checking in

Cheri, a new doc beats out one you didn't like any day of the week.

    Nicki, Howdy Shoot???? HAHAHAHAHHAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH
No worries about the sunburn. We were camped out in the shade all day. Couldn't go swimming cause I have another blasted ear infection. Stupid ears.

Hi Lynn, good to see you. Yehaw on the all clear!!

Peter that looks like the KoolAide guy, and it's making me dizzy.

Jeannie, it is in the rules. the manperson must take care of car maintenance.

    Hi Iris

    Amy has company arrived yet?

hahahahhah Lynn, I do that all the time.

    Have a good time Cheryl

Denise, it wasn't me on the soapbox but I had a lovely time in your head anyway.
Your bonding sounds like my bonding.

Cheri, your a lazy bumm too.....O I am so happy to have a sister bumm.
Hmmm a martini does sound much fancier than the white wine I'm drinking. naaa to much work.

Karen, great big hugs for you. I'm sorry your husband is having a hard time at work. My hubby hates his job too but is afraid to leave.
You will be fine next week. We will all be there holding your hands. And Nicki is very good about keeping the docs and nurses in line.

Marsha, my male docs never offered my anti-depressants until I whined way to much about hot flashes. Tried effexor for a week and decided I would rather suffer thru them.

Well shoot howdy Betty, I just sent you a card today asking where you've been. Disregard when you get it. Brain cells and I have not yet come to terms on acceptable memory loss.
    Welcome Home.

My first surgery pre BC I had an axiety attack in preop...the nurses were fabulous. Second surgery after dx I had an axiety attack before I went to hospital. Went into the chat room and the girls in there talked me thru it. I think the new forum is a great idea.

Bye Jan, have a great time.

Cheri it is a painter on stage. Music playing is Ray Charles. He has a large canvas on some kind of turntable. He uses his hands and regular size paint brushes and paints in time to the music. Just kept slopping on the paint and turning the canvas. At the end it was a portrait of Ray Charles. Totally Cool.

EachDay, it is a lovely addiction.

Awww Vicki I'm sorry. Men want to date a tramp and marry their mother.

Love and Hugs to everyone. Were not going to daughters for the weekend. Hubby changed his mind. Gee that so surprises me. I'll see you all tomorrow.

    Vickie,

There is NOTHING wrong with you, and don't you ever change to please someone else! Your friendship has been an amazing gift to so many women here, and your kind and generous spirit is something that should be duplicated, not erased. We love you...and what we think is most important, right?

    Hang in there!
    Love,
    Sue

P.S. If you want to run away to the non-stop excitement of NH, my door is open. You'll have to deal with presidential candidates everywhere, but we could still have fun.

Take it or leave it and he will be leaving it as I will never have another conversation with him like that one. Feeling fine...thanks to my favorite family. You are all as nice, kind, loving and sweet as I am and I guess that's why I've adopted you all.

WTH??? He must be related to the guy who told me I was the best thing that ever happened to him so he had to stop seeing me. Consider the guy as having done you a big favor---do you really need someone that cold in your life? You are a gentle and generous lady and don't ever confuse tough with strong. We are all strong here but I don't think I would ever want to be tough and it sounds like that's the only thing he is looking for. I had just finished telling my Mom I didn't care if I ever dated again when David came crashing through the ceiling and landed in my lap---it will happen when it is supposed to happen. Leave yourself open to the power of the universe and everything will fall into place---don't let el creepo interfere with that. Thus ends the new age sermon for the day.

Vickie - it's all hug wash. I'll tell you the same thing I tell Steven when someone is picking on him in school, just because someone thinks that of you it does not make it true. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and that is all it is, his opinion. If he cared about you, he would like you just the way you are and would see what a beautiful person you are.

Karl - Welcome to our special group. Thank you so much for letting us know about Charlene. I am so happy her surgery went well and she is home. Please give her our love. What a sweet beautiful couple you make.

I'm exhausted, sorry I can post more tonight. This new job keeps me busy, not easy working 50 hours a week but I do enjoy the work.

Good night everyone. I'll be back in the morning to catch up.

Cheri, thanks for driving us to be with Charlene today.

Nicki, Nicki, Nicki - if I, who am totally afraid to have someone give me a colonoscopy, can have one, you can have one. I picked up the pills this week and next Thursday is the day. I'll let you know how it goes. Oh, it sounds like allergies.

EachDay, I probably missed your post but I gather you were talking about your hair growing back. Mine was salt/pepper/copper/gray/opossum - horrid color. It is now a darker blonde and so much better. I actually do like my hair now and it's much thicker than it was. Oh, I told you that you would like us, and now I think you are here to stay. I see you are having a colonoscopy too - I get to have the pills - no drinking the gag stuff for me. Mine is next Thursday.....not looking forward to it.

    Sue/Gus - three years. That's great.

Sheri, I still can't believe the picnic deal. We had our company picnic today so I took my grandkids; my son joined us for lunch. They had go-kart racing, games, carnival games, tents of food, inflatable rock climbing, arts and crafts, food, and more food. Then I took the grandkids home and they went swimming for 3 hours and we went to dinner. Hubby took them to the driving range a few minutes ago so I could work since I left early today. Big day they had and they are spending the night.

Marsha, let the doctors have it - port flushing every six weeks.

Jeannie, you're getting married? Congratulations - I obviously missed a few pages between yesterday and today.....

Denise, I can see I am going to have to be the cheerleader for a colonoscopy since this is the third mention of it since I started reading a few minutes ago. I am truly scared to do it but as the doctor told me "after what we've been through, it's a piece of cake." Thanks for the update on Robin. We have to tell her it's not nice to stay away. My saying - was that Master of Manipulation aka Mom?

Puppy, nice to see you posting. Hugs to you.

Hi Shannon, welcome back. My ideal job would be from 9 - 2 so I could be home after school, although my kids are now grown. That would still leave me plenty of time to get dinner ready, laundry, etc. Like we told EachDay, I think you'll start hanging out more often as you get to know us - we're a great group of women and one man.

    Back later.

    Each Day,
You are such a prolific writer and express your thoughts so beautifully. You were expressing the way I was feeling(except for the frustration as this BlackBerry has its own agenda tonight!) LOL

I echo your sentiments as I read Karl's post abt Angel/Charlene.It just felt so good to read his words abt a wonderful Circle Friend.

There are so many confused relationships and people. You are
so right abt the importance of feeling empowered. This is my interpretation-I am quick to defend kindhearted people. It sounds like you are a very wise writer and loyal friend.
Have a great vac and will look forward to reading your posts. It is so wonderful that you are here-

I feel that there are so many of us who connect on this thread.
    Take care and enjoy,

BOY you guys are a chatty bunch!!!

We are home from the island. We had a great time….saunas, beach walking, fishing, walking the trails through the woods, picking up agates and beach glass, watching the sunsets at midnight, and EATING every 5 minutes....just a great time.

There are over a thousand posts since I left, so I will just jump back in...no way to read that much when I still have to get ready for pinkstock! I leave in one week for Michigan and I still have two articles to write for the paper, a craft project to finish for Pinkstock, shopping too do, a whole week of vacation Bible school to help with, and about 12 loads of filthy laundry to do!! YIKES...me thinks I am overbooked

I have a cooler full of fish headed for the freezer and a bunch of packages of salmon and halibut have PINKSTOCK written all over them

Gotta go…miles to go before I sleep

    Love ya all

shhhhhhhhhhh, Don't tell Karl I'm on here, I should be resting lol

I just Had to come on here and let you know how very special you all are to me. Yes Cheri, I felt you all holding my hand and helping me through it. Thank you for getting everyone there to be with me. Nicki, when they wheeled me into OR#7 I could feel you in there watching over everyone with your arms crossed .. it was so very comforting. I Knew then that I'd be okay!
The percocet is helping and I feel it won't be long before I'm feeling much better. I hope in a day or two I'll be back here talking to everyone again and eating Moose Tracks with Iris Angel! I've read everything by my percocet mind won't allow me to respond yet lol

Just want to add that yes, my Karl is a 10 and a real gem. I'm so very lucky we found each other. He's my soul mate.

Thanks to all who were with me today and for those who couldn't make it for your warm hugs and prayers. I also feel very lucky to have found all of you.

Good Morning Everyone: I just made the goofiest coffee. Calling it the Saturday Morning Special. Mixed French Vanilla with Hazelnut coffee grounds. The aroma is heaven and the coffee tastes even better. I passed out pretty early last night - for a while I was in one of those "Im never gonna drink moods." But I feel pretty good this morning, despite being up at 5:00am on my day off.

Jankay: Good morning sunshine sister. Sorry you were not feeling so good yesterday, but I see you are feeling better today. You beat me for the first early morning post today.

I wasnt trying to change the name of the thread. I was trying to give our Peter a good chuckle. And when I saw girls and bloke I laughed my arse off this morning. Just having a little fun. I do believe the original title was Time To Circle The Wagons. Sorry if I caused a rukus - but it still was funny.

Charlene: I was delighted to see your post. When I woke up this morning, I was wondering how you were doing. While they were doing your surgery, I chuckled cause the OR staff was commenting on how they felt the presence of a good old fashioned nurse watching over them. Glad the surgery is over, hoping the percocet is working, and make sure you just get alot of rest the next couple of days.

DebC: Glad your back. Sounds like you had a wonderful time and it sure does sound like you are overbooked.

Iris: Somehow I missed your post from last night. Blame it on the Martini's. I loved the early books by Stephen King - his writing has changed as he got older. Although I did think "misery" was pretty good too.

MargaretB: This must be the week for colonoscopies. Even our dear President Bush is having one today. I dont think it is so much fear on my part. Just tired of tests, tests, and more tests. And then of course the hospital bills get bigger and bigger. Right now my PCP is focusing on getting a cardiolyte stress test. I said - nope I owe this hospital too much money already.

Odalys: 50 hurs a week? OMG! Looks like if I change jobs I will be joining your world. Yesterday I left work at 12:30pm cause I just didnt feel good. Didnt feel like working. Thats flexibility! If I go for the big management psoitions I will make a heck of alot more money, but Oh the stress and hours!! Although I do think it is time for me to check out the Director of Nursing positions once again.

Jeannie: So you were drinking dirty martini's also. Im with you, dont like the vermouth part - vodka all the way with lots of olive juice. That stinks about your car. Cant seem to do anything anymore without it costing a bundle. My DH - is not good at cars. For example he let the brakes go on his car for so long, its not drivable and is gonna cost a pretty penny to fix cause of it. Thank goodness for Visa! I only carry one credit card with me now.

Lynn: It just amazes me what hot flashes can do. One minute I am sweating from head to toes - next minute Im freezing. Im thinking maybe at night I should put some gel in my hair - would probably come out really cute in the morning since I would be scrunching it all night long.

CherylHolt: Yep, Oak Park made the 10 o'clock news last night. They were interviewing lots of people who were at the party. I was so hoping I would have gotten a glimpse of you.

Denise: What the heck is my space and why do you want to get one? Have fun at your family reunion. Im thankful today I dont have one thing that I have to do and no place I have to go. Gonna take advantage and just enjoy the day.

Cheri: So you and Sherloc are lazy bums? Ahahahha now thats funny. Can I put my DH in your little group? BTW - when you drive the magic carpet Monday for Karen - just remember I get motion sickness - so watch those loop de loops.

Karen: Good you didnt have to cook the dinner for once. I hate to hear about DH and stressful job. Hoping he can find something better. Dont you worry kiddo - we will be with you on Monday.

Marsha: Im gonna check out the new thread as soon as Im done here. I always love it how the moderators slip in something new.

Betty: So good to see you.

Jan: OMG Im gonna have Janny withdrawal. I will be missing you very much.

EachDay: Im laughing. I think its official. You are addicted.

Sherloc: That video from youtube was awesome.

Vickie: Now why the heck would some jerky guy call you and tell you he doesnt want to see you cause you are just too nice. He sounds a little warped to me. Like Popeye says. Im am what I am what I am. So love yourself and tell this creep to get lost.

Angels Man: Karl, it was nice meeting you and thanks for coming and giving us an update on Angel. We all sure were worried about her - and glad to hear she is home and resting.

Well - getting ready to take my dog for his walk. Or should I say, him taking me for a walk. I love the week-ends, cause I can keep up with all of you. Hope you have a grand morning and I will check back later.

Yes, it's that magical time of the year again when the Darwin Awards are bestowed, honoring the least evolved among us. Here then, is the glorious winner :
