Nicki -
For Peter: Hey Peter look at the title. I changed it to include Boys
Nicki -
Good afternoon all
Yep Cheri, something showed up on radar. They just don't know what those loops were. AND they think they may have heard a hee-haw (although no one can really figure this one out)
I did see that Robin and Puppy posted. Hugs to you
Gotta go...bbl
Hugs from Amy to Z. (Can't type easily on this small keyboard) -
Happy Friday aft and a great Sat to you,Peter!
Peter-hope the winter is not too cold. Personally,I would take Southern summers any ole day over the winters. We have mild ones;just do not like cold bones. So,how abt the leaks? Hope the roof is OK. Enjoy your coffee.
Each Day-I really went back in time and love reading your posts. Like that old song says those were the days,my friend. I found a plastic stand while moving stuff last month. I cannot tell you the number of times I played w/stand-up paper dolls and Barbies.Dolls even had their own coverlets. Thanks,as Vickie said, for reminding me as well as many others. Love your posts!
Cheri-miss chatting, too; who else would put up w/a zillion words? I hope next wk to go back.I'm glad you have a new woman onc-funny,I will be seeing a woman abt the 30th of Aug. That last one and I did not jive-male,as well;diff medical ideas.:He was not the right one for me. I love that thread abt old days.
Marsha-congrats on the quilt;loved that abt Sally Field's reply. She has always bn high on my list since "Gidget" a trillion yrs ago. Amy-hey to you,Tucker and all of your fam. Enjoy your company;right on abt AL creeks/lakes in summer. I am still on BBerry as it will not win-it is just a machine and unfortunately, smarter and cuter.Ha!
Colleen-hi to you and Warren. Glad that things feel better as that is low to ask for a gift to be returned. What you could do is send him a copy of Amy Vanderbilt or Peggy Post on etiquette How can people run businesses and be so manner-deprived? Just my two cents worth-good for you!
Angel/Charlene-waiting to hear from you and thinking abt you.
Denise-my father did sme thing and we were chased on an air base in AZ scared me. He worked there and went into an area that was not allowed;MPs stopped us real fast.Got three med appts soon doing more of what you have bn doing-the right stuff on the $mill diet.Junk sure was more fun.
Cherryl-think that we are alot alikea;always begged for me a sibling. Yeah-abt time! Enjoy all the fun and dressing-up;take pics!
Shirley-I like when the tech works and we feel so smart. I hate it when it is something that seems so simple and takes so much time for time-savers. Enjoy your wkend.
Nicki-I loved that book abt
"Thinner" as Stephen King was not
Writing in the same style as later bks.
I am near the dreaded invalid time! Enjoy the weekend, everyone!
To all I missed-thinking of you!

Rules for drinking Martini's!
Rule #1: Don't drink it like it is a glass of wine.
Rule #2: I forget
Nicki -
I agree with your rules Nicki but I always seem to forget them also until its too late. Gotta love a good martini though.
Amy -
Amy: I was trying to read back and anser everyone - then you snuck in on me! Im so glad to have you back here. Think you need to go to the spa wagon and get a great massage, manicure, pedicure - candles and healing light all around.
I know this has been a very hard week for you. I prefer to look at Funerals as a celebration of one's life and your dad sounds like he was the greatest. I lost my dad when I was 18. I was the youngest girl of 3. I was his baby.
I havent had a martini in years. Used to drink them all the time when I was Director of Nursing. Great way to end a stressful day. But - you must sip them!
Sending you lots of hugs and kisses.

Nicki---Hey sister---we're sitting here doing the same thing---drinking a dirty martini our SOs brought us! Vodka or gin? I'm a vodka person myself---can taste the dirty part better. Liked your rules---made me laugh!
Never made it to MB today. Came home five HOURS later and $1000 poorer. Needed all new tires plus the regular service. Those suckers were bald---no wonder I was having trouble on wet pavement. Guess I can't rely on SO to keep an eye on that stuff for me. Always did it myself when I was single and he figures I'll just keep doing typically guy stuff just like I always did. Am I being sexist in just assuming he will take over some of the gritty/greasy stuff in my life? After all, I took over his laundry! ;-)
Anyway---MB says she comes up this way frequently so sooner or later we should be able to pull this off.
Talk to everyone tomorrow---I must go brood over the extra 1K on the old Visa card. I may never get that whipped into shape. If it ain't the stupid teeth it's the stupid doc or the stupid car.

ohh, that stinks, I was halfway through my post when I thought I'd get smart like Peter and check out his birthday but because I'm using quick reply, I lost it! So you're a day and a few years older Peter. Aquarians are wonderful people, aren't we??!!
Nicki, thank you. You always make me smile and feel good. You have that wonderful quality. I will try not to stay away so long, but I am trying to sneak in golf now!!
Hey, you know, I don't wear my prosthesis hardly ever and now when I back swing I've got no boob to get in my way!! LOL. Wish I could say that my game has improved, but after a year away from the game it is going to take some work.
Hot flashes are a pain. We have been having 30+C weather for the last two weeks and with the a/c it is blankets on....blankets off....blankets on...., you get the picture. Sleep is a little off, but I am hoping not to have to take more meds as I don't like to take any and they all have more side effects. I think it's more like better the devil you know than the devil you don't!

Hello Everyone,
Wishing everybody a good weekend.
Nicki, yep Oak Park is the place to be for Potter People. We made Good Morning America!!! Love my little 'burb.
Welcome to all the new sisters. This is a great place to be.
Madison, thanks for keeping the girls on the carpet safe from the Air Force!
Charlene, hope you're doing well and wish you a speedy recovery.
Peter and Lynn, add more more Aquarian to the list, although my b'day, 2/16 is right on the cusp.
Have to go transform myself into Prof McGonagall and head off to Hogwarts.
love,
Cherryl/Minerva -
Minerva (Cherryl),
Have a wondrful time at your party. My daughter just came downstairs all dressed as Luna Lovegood for the party that she is attending. She even made her own radish earrings!
Gotta go back and read to see how everyone is doing.
Love to all, from A to Z
Sue -
Hey, good evening to all........and good day? to Peter!
Welcome to all the newbies that have found their way to the best place ever! Fun, jokes, hugs and love.....just some of what we do best!!
Eachday: You are to Funny.......The colonoscopy joke was a hoot! One of the reasons I don't want to go is instead of a hoot I would probably Toot!!
I've got Shirleys name in my head.......but I'm pretty sure it was Susan that was on the 'soap box' earlier! You are so very right.......colonoscopy is a must. You know, I don't know if I ever heard of the connection between butt and boob before.....I have an Onc appt mid August and will ask him about the big "C"......promise.
Cheri: Computer illiterate? Who, Moi!! Thanks for the tip about c&p last night. Hoping to have some 'free alone time' on Monday and I'm gonna check out My Space!
Glad you talked to Onc and he didn't seem to worried about the port..........just don't forget this appointment!
I'm thinking of all of you, but gots lot to do. Been gone all day......it took me forever to get to Mom's....I am so sick of the Construction everywhere............I think I was a bit witchy at Mom's but hey........she's got to love me, right?
Yucky Family Reunion tomorrow........gotta make a couple of things to take. The reason I say Yucky is, The people I want to see....I see often. The one's that I don't see often, I don't care to see! Not expecting it to be any big earth shattering good time, that's for sure!! Have you all ever noticed that when you go to something like that...everyone always sits with their immediate families that they see all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May be back later......Bonded with the Man last night......I sat on one side of the couch and he sat on the other flipping the remote back and forth so fast I was getting sick....
Computer is starting to act funny, and this stupid site better not be getting ready to kick me off!
Hugs,
Denise -
Anyone heard from Charlene yet?
Where is Kristen.....is she on vacation?
Tracy has been gone along time, too.
Found Anne and Robin.
LisaE......let us know how you are doing, please.
Holly, where are you, thinking about you.
As soon as I sign off (again) I will think of all the other MIA's!
Hugs,
Denise -

Good evening everyone. It's friday and I know that means alot for you all that are not lazy bums like me and Shirley and actually hold down jobs. lol
Robin, nice you checked in with us. Good luck on your new diet. Sounds expensive, but then diets usually always are. Now let's see, a hamburger made with nuts instead of beef would be a nutburger? Sometimes I feel like a nut...
Madison, I knew Amys little ass was going to be too loud this morning. Every time we nose dived it made that funny noise the Air Force picked up on radar.
Nicki, I have never drank a Martini. I did always think they looked very classy in the old movies. Along with uh..uh..uh..cigarette.
Lynn, nice to see you again, I was getting to know you a bit and then you were gone.
Peter, have a good morning and nice week-end.
Iris, my onc appt. is also the 30th but of July. Hoping we both like our new dr.s.
Charlene, I do hope you're resting and all went well today. Did you feel us holding your hand?
Cherryl, have a super time at your HP party tonight.
Gus, nice to see you. You ran off to read when I started posting so don't know if anything is new with you or not.
Neesie, have a great time at your family reunion tomorrow.

Good evening CG's
I am in a major FUNK today. really stressing about the recon fix on Monday. part of me just wants to tell the PS to just take both of them out. But realize its probably not the best decision. i am really worried about the recovery. Two more days to go. We have to be at the hospital at 6:00am for 7:30 surgery. I figure that I'll be home by noon.
Dylan concert was only okay - i like his music but the concert is not my cup of tea. It did rain a little, but with rain coats we were okay. Did leave the concert early.
DH is stressed to the ma about his job situation. He needs to start a job search. He is so bummed. The new management is just horrible. His old boss called him today (he left the company this past year) and gave him some helpful hints. Life just seems to be so stressful right now.
Robin - glad to see you checking in.
Nicki - we are invited out for Shabbat dinner, so I didn't do any cooking. Well thats not true - I made a double batch of challah to put in the freezer and have been baking cookies all week - I love to bake, so it has been kind of a de-stressor for me. Next week we have friends cooking for us after my surgery. The no lifting is going to be hard - it is my right side and I am so darn right hand dominant.
Any news from Angel yet?
Susan - I can finally see your new avitar - love it.
Just skimmed the posts from last night and today. Going to go. Need to jump in the shower. Wishing everyone a feel good day tomorrow. Hugs from Denver, Karen -
Can I jus say, I've been off that darn anti depressant for a week and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO feeling like my old self. Do you think male doctors just assume you will be depreassed to lose a basically useless breast? LOL
Jankay you will be approved! LOL
EachDay, you know what I like about you (besides the obvious, your outlook on life). You read about us in a thread that implied we were a bit closed off and was willing to come judge that for yourself. It seems like you have been here forever, you fit right in. The reason? You generally like folks and want to help them. I really admire that.
Did anyone see the new catagory the moderators started? Surgery, Before, During and After. I tell you, as a newbie, I would definately have gone there! Anyone want to join me in "adopting" this thread to help all the newly diagnosed who are now facing or having breast cancer surgery? I really didn't get alot of advice about that, for example, LauraGTO told me to get a fanny pack for the drains. Never would have thought of that, but it was PERFECT!
I love all you guys, I soooooooooo wish I could come to Pinkstock, but I will be there in spirit with all of you that are getting to go! MB I'm sending you a PM. Would like to send something up for my sisters to enjoy so will need an adress.
Susan, you have my contact info and I would love pics sent!
Love to all Amy to Z...... will try to catch up in the morning. Marsha -
Jankay, i just sent you a Yahoo IM. I use it quite a bit.
Karen, Awww, I am so sorry that you're in a stressed out funk. It always makes it worse when our spouse is too. Don't worry about your repair on Monday. You are not alone. We'll fire up the Magic Carpet and hold your hand. You're going to do fine. You've had a rough go of it this year.

Hi everyone,
I'm finally home. I don't think I'll ever catch up, but I'm going to try. The conference just about did me in. I spent three days at my sister's and just slept. We got back this afternoon.
I missed you all terribly.
Hugs,
Betty -
Marsha, that's a good idea about the new forum. I know I was scared to death before my surgery and from the time I was dx and had my surgery it was only like 2 weeks. It all went so fast. Plus, what was really frightening was that I'd heard all my life that once you actually had Cancer if they operated on you it was liable to spread the Cancer. It would've been wonderful to have had a forum that centered on just the surgery at that time. Good thinking, you are a clever girl.

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to hit the road for Maine. Amy, are you listening??? I have tried to catch up, but it is a losing proposition,LOL!
I seriously can't catch up right now. Too much wine, LOL! I will check in when I get home. We were packing up the RV and I thought the the fridge didn't work. Talk about stressing!!!! It's fine and we will finish packing tomorrow. We will be leaving very early, so I won't be checking in until we get back next week. I love all of you from Amy to Z and will miss you all very much!!! Thank you for being there for me (and US). Long live the Sisterhood!!!!!
Charlene, I hope your surgery went well! Mazer and Cheri gave me stomach aches!! All the loop-de-loops!!!! -
