Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Twofer Tuesday! Anotherbeautiful morning here, going to be another beautiful day. A bit tired this ayem, hit the snooze button a couple of times before climbing out of bed. It was so comfy snuggled with Sadie, I just didn't want to get up.But I'm up now, and moving forward.

    Morning, Cammy Cat!

    Super--glad you like the drink!

Goldie--Sadie and I both love to go swimming.Need to do it more. Not sure why we don't.

Cammy--I'm shaking my head at you not using punctuation. That is such a teenage thing! You're not old, you're disguised! I'm sorry Jodie is stuck with FF, hopefully she'll figure it out eventually and give him the heave-ho.

    Morning, Jazzy!

Chi--Sorry to hear about your back troubles, that must really be hard to live with. Sounds like you have a pretty good plan set up, though.

Librarian--Wow, baseboard scrubbing, Rx markup, Bridge, appetizer making, chemo and Neulasta, what an exciting time for your birthday!

    Beautiful sunrise!

Chi--amazing how much stuff an e-mail box can hold, isn't it?

    Morning, Janky!

    6am Sunrise recipe

    6am Sunrise

    Ingredients

Pour the mountain dew and gin into an ice-filled highball glass. Stir, add the grenadine (without stirring), and serve.

    Mornin ladies,

BASEBOARDS OMG U really do get to the nitty gritty of housework and then add everything else. WOW

Janky it's always nice to see u poop in.

Kim maybe u don't go swimming cuz u work hard at work and at home. But summer is nearly over so please take some time and u and Sadie just relax and go swimming. It's funny my sister was the proof reader for Elmhurst College til she retired. And when she and I first started emailing each other she was hounding me about spelling and punctuation. That stopped quickly cuz I told either leave me alone or we don't email each other. She left me alone. LOL So u guys suffer the consequences and so does my work.

Oh Sandy it horrible to have a bad back, but it's good to know what u have to do. How did u stand so long tho...I don't know which is worse standing or sitting to long. But u really trooped urself thru it. U did a lot over the weekend but it did sound like it was fun tho.

Jazzy another beauty of a picture.

    Lori what's happening..

Oh I forgot what working all these hours was like, I did it for yrs. but it's seems harder now.

Hope everyone has a happy day.

Morning ladies, I was in Montreal for 10 jam packed filled days, had a such a great time catching up with friends and family and fool!! I love so many things about that place where I grew up - ahhhhh memories, and now new ones to think on.

NM - It is strange how we often do not do things we really enjoy, such as swimming, going to a favorite shop (library, bookstore, candy) - somehow our days get filled and we do so many other things. I can see Sadie enjoying the swimming and yes, some mornings it is so nice to hit snooze and snuggle!

Chi - I hope you are feeling better? Backs are never good when they hurt! I did the email message purge a while ago and now I keep on top of it - who knew they all got stored??!!

cami - I love tuna tuesday dance!! I am trying to get my aging, almost toothless cat to eat wet food, so tuna has been the go to for me so far (in a losing battle ;) )

Well I am off to get my grandson to art camp today, and tomorrow, to help his mom out - tough being a single parent some days, so DH and I help when we can. I have a 2 day Antique Show all weekend, so I won't be around much again, but know that I miss you all and will be back!! Have a really great week whether working, cleaning, or just doing nothing - Cheers!

Why is it so quiet in here, I hope every is just having a good day.

Wow Janky u really get around. But going where u went had to really be fun. Old memories and making new ones is the best of both worlds. And helping with ur GC don't fool me, u love it, it's the best part.

Joey and Leslie went to the show today and saw Tarantino's something about Hollywood with Brad Pitt and someone else. They both really liked it, we all like cray movies. Well I watch a lot of the reality shows, now about all the people who leave America and go to some 3rd world country cuz they're in love. I was really unaware that people who had lobotomies could actually make these shows, and people who have dead brain cells watch them <me> Their must be many more.

Well Matt at work is still on Paternity leave,,,,who's brilliant idea was that so this day and nite stuff has me crabby, the guys said they can't tell the difference, but I can. Those Asses.

Oh I'm getting really tired so I'll go for now.

    Sleep and relax well.

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Hump Day!BBQ day at work today, so I know what's for lunch. Gotta love hamburgers and hotdogs! The residents love going outside and eating at the big picnic table off paper plates. I hope the rain holds off long enough that we can eat outside. I figured out why I'm dragging my butt out of bed in the ayems, the sun is coming up later so it's not really light out when the alarm goes off. I hate the reminder of the getting up in the total dark thing that's coming. Ah, but the seasons do turn.As if I needed another reminder, Sadie has gone into full shed mode. Doggy fur EVERYWHERE as she blows out the summer undercoat. Not that it bothers her, she gets more attention cuz she needs to be brushed every day for a bit!

Cammy Cat--love the Tuna Tuesday kitteh! I think you are right, when I get home from work I'm tired and don't think of going swimming. I really should, not that much time left to do that this season. Funny about the proof-reader sister, she must have had the hardest time stopping the corrections but I'm glad she did!

Janky--Not doing the things I like more often is part of my perfectionism/procrastination struggles. I grew up with a "can't do anything fun until the housework is perfectly done" Mom. Since I've never been quite so dedicated to keeping a perfect house ( I hate doing housework, it never seems to be done or ever good enough) so I tend to think I haven't "earned" a trip to the pond or whatever. So I don't go, which makes me hate housework even more.Vicious cycle. Hard to break. Working on it. And I have got to learn to "allow" myself to do the things I like anyway!

    Morning, Misty!

Cammy--The guys you work with are either really nice guys, or you have them very well trained to be nice to you!

    Picnic Fruit Punch recipe

    Picnic Fruit Punch

Cami, did you make it to the graduation party? Too bad Jodie's friends go without their hubbies because of FF. As for puntuation....Let's eat, grandma.....or Let's eat grandma! I think it's just this week for the work overload?

Jazzy, glad to hear nothing serious on your face. Beautiful sunrise!

Good grief Sandy, you just seem to have so much going on with your body lately.

JCS, my baseboards could use some cleaning! What did you make for appetizers? I know how to play lots of cards games, but never did learn bridge.

NM, did you girls make it to the lake, or stayed home and cleaned. You are so right about housework never being done...true dat! That fruit punch looks so pretty and yummy!

Hey Janky, 2 day antique show is right up my alley. Good to see you.

DD is finally starting to feel a tad better. She has been in lots of pain, mostly where they extended the inscision from previous surgery and where the drain was. She was going to blow off her follow ups, I told her she needed to go, that she had a lot done! She is going up north this weekend with her dad, staying at his sister's cabin. Well, Jennifer is going to drive her dad to work, go to the doctors and then has to pick him up from work. I told her she didn't need to tell me that, as she shouldn't be driving yet, plus that fact that the last time she drove, she passed out and hit a tree.

Will be busy today, we finally got our product we have been missing for over a month. My customers have been very kind and patient in waiting.

    Mornin' ladies,

Kim I had to laugh cuz u said when u were growing up it was chorea before play time. My mom was the same way exactly...only for me not my sister for some reason and I remember thinking, I will never be like that. Now my sister is but I'm not at all. It makes me think tho what's the right waely for a kid to be brought up. My aunt literally waited on her kids and cleaned herself. One was always cleaning, but both never waited on their kids and one was like me. And now that I do need help I always ask Joey but I've always said when u get a chance and he does it right away. Its the kid's nature that brings us up. And yrs. ago Italians spoiled the hell out of their sons, well women broke that up a while ago. Well u better get going on swimming but soon the weather won't let u.

Sandy r u doing all right??? Lori???

Shower day for me today but I forgot I have to work, so my niece was going to dye my hair too, but I won't have the time. Thank God for that shower chair, my problem is basically just gerting in and out then I sit and I can do the rest. but that's the time I'm completely organized with my towels and robe. Everything is reachable and she always helps me get my robe on. I'm so thankful she lives close by and is sweet as she is. Actually she's married to my nephew but we always got along so well so I'm blessed.

I'm charging my phone now so it's quiet hehehe.

My DH and I went to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood yesterday. A typical Tarantino movie, but had some good plot twists. The music was great and my DH loved all the 60’s cars. There is a great deal of cussing and it does get bloody, but no nudity!

I am making Million Dollar Dip and ham and cheese biscuit bites. We also have popcorn, nuts and chocolate. Then I made a hummingbird cake for dessert. It has bananas, pineapple and pecans with a cream cheese frosting. Plenty of adult beverages! It makes the cards better. LOL!

My Dad always told my Mother she had three maids and a butler. As children we cooked, cleaned and did laundry. By today’s standards she was very mean, but we did learn how to do the chores well and accept the work as normal. I passed the ability on to my boys to clean and maintain a household. They are not that good at cooking, but can do the rest! I play music while I clean and try to make it fun. Since I retired, I have told myself I have to do three things everything day. They need to be a chore, something social and a giving back (volunteering). Once those are completed, I can do whatever I want! It is more difficult with all the doctor appointments, but I try.

Off to walk. It is getting hot and humid here again. Welcome to the dog days of summer!

We have had a lot of rain here lately and I woke up before the alarm this morning by a thunder storm. My dog, Pebbles, is a mess when there is thunder and lightning. She seems worse as she got older. It was hard to get ready for work this morning with her right under my feet the whole time. I am slowly trying to simplify my life so I have more time to do the fun things. It is taking a lot of cleaning out which needed to be done. I told my mom that I think people should move (or pretend they are moving) to clean out stuff every 5-10 years. Everything that needs to be done takes time and energy. I can't seem to get time and energy to work together for me.

My mom was a stay at home mom until my older sister and I were older. We had to clean house during the summer when we weren't at school, but just had to have it done before my mom came home.We also had to make dinner one day a week; I think that was to teach us to put together meals.I also did this with my children, we ate some pretty weird concoctions, but they are all good cooks today.I don't worry so much about everything being done before fun, just certain things that bother me.I have to have my dishes done, my bed made, and the garbage out so I don't smell garbage when I walk through the door.

JCS- The card game group sounds like a blast!I am glad you all get together like that and have great food and drinks.

Cami – You have such great friends and family, you must be pretty special to them and just by your posts, I can tell you are just fun to be around. You are a blessing and are blessed.

Goldie - I am so glad that you are feeling better.I hope your daughter doesn't push herself too much and ends up in trouble.Sometimes kids were easier when you had a little control over them.

NM – What fun for the residents and the workers to have BBQ day!Let the housework go (it will always be there) and go swimming before it gets too cold.

Janky- glad you had fun on your trip and enjoy your grandson.

ChiSandy- I am glad you are feeling better.I was thinking while reading your posts that you must be losing weight between your diet and your retainer.I wish I had more self-control when I am trying to lose weight,I will do good for a week then sabotage myself.

Jazz- love the music and pictures you share.

I still like having a glass of red wine and a piece of dark chocolate at night. It always feels like a special treat. I don't have it every night or even every week, but I think I will stop by the store on the way home from work and get some chocolate....

Hi friends- checking in midweek. Been super busy at work, but I take breaks and escape to a room here to do other non work e-mails and the like. I have to catch up with my home girls here to see how everyone is doing.

I had a mother who was in bed with depression sometimes during my childhood, so I got to do a lot of house cleaning, laundry, cooking, etc. Funny how you sort of see things at normal, until you realize later on that perhaps the world you grew up with was slightly different. But I consider all those things I learned to help me take care of myself. My dad always involved me in his little home repair projects, so I also knew how to use tools, paint, change the oil in my car, etc. I let the mechanics do the later now, but sort of think a lot of these things turn out to be "life skills" that we never realized we got back then?

Janky- my house can get messy, but I always make sure the floors are clean/vacuumed, and the bathroom and kitchen are kept clean. Sometimes I end up with piles of things with the busy week, but those get taken care of by the weekend. Thanks too for the kind words on my photos and musical sharings.

Cami- so it's not Dan that is away, but someone else. I be the shower felt great today! I love your kitteh photos.

Goldie- glad to hear your DD is coming along with her recovery. But I agree it is too soon to drive, and worrisome she would try it given the passing out and accidents. I hope she can let herself heal. She sounds like a gal that has a hard time slowing down (my abdominal surgery took me down HARD, but am much older than your DD). Prayers for continued recovery. We are getting a lot of monsoonal moisture, you?

    ChiSandy- are you doing better?

NM- we still seem to have a lot of light here in the morning, but noticed the evenings getting shorter. I bet Miss Sadie is enjoying her brushing! My sister's golden retriever got shaved for the summer, but she goes in the yard and finds places to roll in things that have her covered in burrs when she is done. Bella has always been an itchy thing, but my sister thinks she loves the brushing out of the burrs that followed every time she gets covered by them. Bella wants you petting her with both hands always, how about Sadie?

Well, I did the last of my Summer 2019 glam make over last night. I had noticed with five years on the AIs that I had a lot of hair thinning, on the top of my head (better now) but also my eye lashes were pretty scant. I never did chemo (surgery and rads only) so I didn't loose my hair, but just have noticed changes. So last night I got some lashes installed on my top lids!

So what is this you say Jazzy? It's a process where they add individual lashes to your upper lids to make everything look thicker. Take a couple hours and will need to be maintained with touch ups as your eye lashes turn over about every 4-6 weeks. I love the look and someone told me today "wow you look all dolled up". It made my eyes look like they used to in my 20s when my lashes were thicker. I like the look and will try to keep it up but will see if i want to sustain the time and money to do it for the longer term. My spots from my laser are still healing but looking better all the time.

Okay, back to crazy consulting land. I am going to Taos this weekend but will pop in from over there during my overnight stay.....

Good morning, Loungettes! Happy Thirsty Thursday!Boy, did we get a thunderstorm come through last night. Lots of lightning and thunderbangs, and 1.55 inches of rain!It just came down buckets at times. One particularly loud clap of thunder woke me up and practically had me jumping out of the bed, it was so loud! Sadie barely moved. Usually I'm reassuring her during loud thunderstorms, this time she was comforting me!

Goldie--Didn't make it swimming yesterday, thunderstorms were coming in.If I had known they would wait for hours before actually starting we would have gone anyway! Glad to hear the missing product has arrived, finally! Too true about housework!

Cammy Cat--I don't know if there is any one right way to raise kids to learn about housework. Maybe not insisting that there is only one right way to do house work would be a good start, though. I now realize that Mom is more focused on the way housework is done than she is about the results. It's not so much that the rug gets clean for her, its more important that all the vacuum cleaner stroke lines are exactly lined up. Shower chairs are a wonderful invention, aren't they? You are so lucky to have such a caring niece.

Librarian--You've got a good plan for your retirement! I like to play music or listen to an audiobook while doing housework or yardwork. Enjoy the walk.

Misty--must be thunderstorm time all over! Good idea about the periodic clean out as if moving. Sounds like your Mom and you have a good approach to kids and housework.

Jazzy--keeping house, cooking simple meals, maintaining a car are all important life skills to have and all kids need to learn them, that's for sure. My Dad taught me the car stuff. His approach was "this is what needs to be done, this is why, this is how, now show me you can do it." when I got my first car. I prefer to let the mechanics do it all now, but if I'm in the middle of nowhere I can change a tire and would have checked fluid levels before I left. Somehow that was not as bad or as hard as vacuuming the living room floor 5 times until all the lines were perfectly parallel! Sadie will take petting any way she can get it. One hand, two hands, hands and a foot, whatever. Her big thing is to slowly melt to the floor until she can roll on her back for tummy tickles as she's getting petted. Getting lashes installed? Hmm. Most of mine are gone since the AI trip, that might be something to look into.Is it very costly?

    Thunder And Lighting

    Ingredients

    Mix in shaker and serve.

    .Mornin ladies,

JC busy lady. I have to ask what is Million dollar dip??? I never had it or heard about it. Sounds like it's yummy, the cake too. That's the movie my DD and Joey saw and they liked it. It's good to go to the show sometimes and getting together with friends sounds like lottsa fun.

Misty Thank u for ur compliment but I'm really a cranky old broad for the most part. I have to say I always likked ur dark chocolate and glass of wine, but really u should do it more. Well not al in one night just more nites. I like reading about u, JC and Jazzy times when u were young...so many differences and here we are.

Jazzy good u can sneak away for a few. Don't burrs hurt, sounds like they would. LOOOVE the lashes thing. U know u can have barely makeup on but if u have good lashes what a difference, no pic???

Dan''s not off, the the guy who works in the office and warehouse, he's inherited the phones all day, I get the nite ones, well for now all of them. Dan called last nite to see if I was allright, he's so funny. I told him this stupid Paternity leave stuff should be against the law. Only someone with a uterus should help at a time like this. Oh well.

    Everyone have a great day.

Cami, I have answered you a few times in my posts above yours. So glad you have your neice or your DD's to help you. Did you go to the graduation?

JCS, funny you mentioned the Hummingbird Cake, as I was just telling my DH about it. I don't really care to bake much, but made one many many years ago. I had to look through my old recipes to prove it to. Then I found another recipe online that I liked better. Going to maybe make one this weekend.

Misty, sounds like you are doing well, I'm sure it's still tough, but good for making time to have some fun. And don't believe Cami about being a cranky old broad, she is as sweet as can be.

Jazzy, my DD is one to keep down, always on the move and a hard worker as well. We have had some moisture and things are greening up, but really not a whole lot (rain). Like I said before, it always seems to go around us and miss us. Sometimes it just spits! MemaSue had those lashes for quite some time. I wonder how she is doing? I'm gonna have to call or text her.

NM, that's alot of rain! Glad it didn't scare Sadie. I have heard those very loud ones that make you want to jump out of bed. We had a loud one not too long ago, and just out of reflex, I screamed SO LOUD. I don't have carpet, but I would probably be one of those that would want the lines perfect. In Michigan, I had a burber (sp) carpet, so no lines.

Dentist for cleaning today and then leaving for Kanab UT on Wednesday. Going to that Western Legands Round Up again.

DD's tummy. I don't like how that scar looks. I know it's not very old, but darn it's wide, and she looks very swollen.

Morning all - thunderstorms raged through our area too, I guess the 'non global warming' has something to do with it, but who knows?! I am preparing for a 2 day Antique Show happening this weekend so my house is soo upside down, and i have a very dear friend coming for a visit - lousy timing but we have known each other all of our 65 years so it should be okay... I have been having weird pain over my mx scar area so went to Occupational Therapist at Cancer centre yesterday. She worked with the area and feels that it is scar tissue that needs to be broken up and a couple of sessions plus some at home stretches should help - seriously! 2 and a half years later and still 'hurting'. I was also concerned about an area I thought could be lymphedema but she says not, just skin that is puffing out.

If you ladies figure out how to get kids to do housework please share!! I too, think, in hindsight, that as long as they help, even if not up to our 'standards', work with it, and hope that eentually they will do an even better job as they mature.

goldie - dd's scar looks like one I had years ago for an emergency spighelian hernia, so I checked my belly and it is scarcely noticeable but definitely there, I wish her a very speedy recovery!

Hi NM, chi, cami, JCS, mema, misty, illi, jazzy - stay dry and well and enjoy a great weekend, doing all those weekend things we look forward to! Cheers!

Goldie - my incision looked wide & red like that for a long time. She may still have some fluid retention from the surgery, I did too. That is a big incision & she needs to be really careful with healing. No lifting, pushing, pulling for awhile. It's really hard to do when you are a busy person but you gotta.....

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy TGIF day! We really got the rain and thunderbumpers yesterday. Took a couple breaks at work to just watch the rain come down. Hard. Saw some lightening and heard some thunder last night, but nothing like the night before. Only 0.31 inches of rain in the last 24 hours, compared to 1.55 yesterday! Sadie, of course, had to go out and get her feet and belly wet right before bedtime, and dry herself off on the bed. Nothing like going to sleep to the smell of wet doggy!

Cammy Cat--So hard to keep track of Who's on First in Dan's company! I bet you are doing just fine. Funny about the paternity leave stuff!

Goldie--DDs poor belly has been through a lot!I would expect it to still be swollen after all that was done in there. I can see where the original incision line was extended at the top. The re-opened part is wider, that's typical. It won't look so bad in a few months. Have a good trip to UT and enjoy the concert!

Janky--Gotta love how bc treatment keeps on giving pain year after year. More than 10 years and I still have to do arm and shoulder stretches regularly to keep the pain away from the radiation damage to the muscles. Will have to live with that for the rest of my life.

    Mornin' ladies,

Lori I'm sorry I miss things on here I think I get caught but I don't. Lori in MHO that scar for being so new looks pretty good to me. It's going to be puffy for a while, but u can actually see where it was probably opened a little more. Now of course I think that needs a whole lot of healing. And u with how she won't stop. Lori she's just like u in so many ways and that's one of the ways. Actually the less it hurts she'll think she can just do things, but u really can't. I just keep thinking she's so young to go thru all this chit. I'm so sorry.

Ah the magic of teaching kids to do housework, The answer is no answer. All I know is Italians have a way to throw guilt very well and it starts very early. But it seems to me it's harder nowadays, There's is a fine line between guilt and abuse now. It's funny now to me even if u say something physical for abuse it oh so bad. Living in an Italian neighborhood <young> in the summer all u could hear are things like I'll break ur legs or neck, ur head is going thru the wall, things like that. And now that's verbal abuse and plenty of kids call the police. Jeez even the nuns were ready to hit. And that was in the suburbs not all Italian. LOL

Kim u have to take advantage of this weekend <as long as weather let's u> so leave the housework and just do fun stuff with Sadie. U know I'm right. The weather has been dry here and supposed to continue til Monday. So I hope so. Jodie is having a grad. party for my GD Saturday and I actually get to see my sister and a few of my cousins so I'm looking forward to that. But the men can't stand FF so they don't come. But as women we just ignore him. But the weather is really going to be nice. So whoever wants to go swimming will be able to go. Those are their friends and their DH's don't even like him, but they go to swim and eat...these were never Jodie's type of friends before, but that's what she's stuck with now since FF.

Oh 2 more days of this crazy phone thing. Last nite my calls stopped about 11PM.

Hello to everyone and hoping a good day is ahead.

I'm OK--my back has been behaving itself (knock wood) now that I remember to take the muscle relaxer and CBD at bedtime. Weight loss is plateauing, but have been getting less dizziness & fatigue after a week of taking B12. Been sort of busy organizing & weeding out clothes, orthodontist appt. (I got my retainer Wed. and can stop obsessing over wearing it 22 hrs a day like I did my aligners). Had a massive storm Wed. night which took down a large limb from the maple tree out front--the city will be coming out to see what other limbs need removal--there's a lot of dead tissue there despite it being in full and lush leaf. Worked with the landscaper today plotting out the side garden--flagstones, gravel path, more herbs (we took the basil, mint & chives off the deck and planted them, and added thyme, rosemary, patchouli, winter savory, Italian parsley, Thai basil and some perennial ornamentals).

Still reeling from a senseless tragedy that hit one of Gordy's best friends (who is in town over the summer visiting from Oakland, recovering from the breakup of his 3-yr marriage). His little nephew--3 yrs old--found his mom's boyfriend's gun on the dining room table and accidentally shot and killed himself. The boyfriend is a felon on probation and shouldn't even have had a gun, much less been so careless with it. I will refrain from further comment (at least on this thread) lest I incur the wrath of the Moderators.

DOTD tonight: 2013 Morgon, with sockeye salmon I grilled. (I still have most of my 3-oz. glass left over, but it's late, it'll give me heartburn if I drink it now, and I don't want to have to take out my retainer and brush again--especially since I whitened earlier). When I got my retainer, my orthodontist gave me a bottle of sauvignon blanc! (Sea scallops tomorrow). But there's another drink about which I'm excited. On this diet I can have the occasional splash of ultra-filtered milk (which is half the carbs of regular). I'd been drinking FairLife brand--but stopped when video surfaced of animal cruelty at Fair Oaks Dairy. Well, today at Whole Foods I found Organic Valley now makes an ultra-filtered whole & 2%. So tomorrow I can have a real cappuccino--not unsweetened almond milk (which doesn't froth well) nor too-rich heavy-cream "breve."

Oh Sandy that is so disturbing it's horrendous. What can anyone say but prayers. I can't say what I truly think I'd get thrown off .No one knows me from Adam but I will pray for the family. That will hit all of us....so sad.

    Mornin' ladies,

Sandy did we have a real storm here??? I must really be sleeping but nothing happened here.. Lots of planting for u but I'm glad ur back is better. Has ur housekeeper been able to help u, cuz I know she's been having problems. Wow u have loads of discipline with ur diet, good for you.

To quiet here ladies. Is it up to me to bore all of u like I do. Cuz I will, u'll be sorry.

Last day of my 24 hr days, I feel like I'm going on vacation starting Monday. Jodie's party for my GD is later today and Jod had to remind me it;s also FF's BD. Now do I just say HB or Congrat. for having a good liver. I'm torn. But I can't wait to see who I want to see, so it's worth being nice. The goofy part is it takes me so long to get ready and believe me when I'm done u wouldn't say wow u look good, u'd say OK u don't look as bad. As long as I feel good enough to go believe me I'm happy.

Hope everyone is OK, I haven't been on FB much I've been to busy and trying to unscrew what I screwed to begin with. But I am getting so much better at unscrewing then I used to be u can hardly notice.Oh well.

Cami, Jennifer's long scar is 4 months old, except for about an inch or so at the top, where they opened her up again. The slits are new too, 4 on her right and 2 on the left. And yes, she is just like me! Ok, I thought the grad party was last weekend. Glad you get to see your sister. Have fun today. And I still can't believe customers call in so late. I wouldn't give it a second thought to call a business at those hours.

Jazzy, I don't know how many times I have told her she has to take it easy, and others too.

NM, there is no concert. Stars from old west shows are there. Lots were filmed there as well. Remember a couple years ago when I posted a picture of me the guy who played Israel in Daniel Boone? And Dawn Wells, Mary Ann from Giligan's Island. And others.

Sandy, what a horrible tradgedy about Gordy's friends nephew. And glad none of the tree hit your house. Pictures of the herb garden when it's done please. Glad your back is feeling better.

Finally more rain, it actually rained all day yesterday, which is very unusual for AZ. Our internet is down, using hot spot on a phone, which is limited data. Jennefer saw doctor yesterday, the tumor on her kidney was cancer. he removed it and took out some tissue around it. He's not concerned that it would come back. But if you ask me, I think any cancer has a chance of coming back. She has to be checked in 3 months, which she will do on the island.

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Saturday!Going to be another beautiful weekend here. Meeting Mom and Dick at a bean suppah this afternoon, will be good to get have a visit. I didn't go last weekend, I don't like the place they were going to, too many bossy old ladies controlling where everyone sits, and since I'm a single person it really messes up their seating plan (um, I'm with these people, can't I just sit with them? I know it makes one side of the table have one more person than the other.Oh, you want me to sit at the end of the table so the side counts stay even? How about I sit at the far end of the table and the people I'm with sit at that end with me? Oh, the seats need to be filled in order so as to get the most number of people at one table? But you only let 25 people in at a time, and that's an odd number so you know this is going to happen, don't you?I see, if it's the last person coming in it's not a problem. How about letting the 3 of us sit at the second table, then we won't mess up the count on the first table?Seating people at the second table before the first table is filled is a sin? I missed that in my Bible readings.) I do not like baked beans enough to bother with that nonsense! Sadie says Hi to everyone!

Cammy Cat--You are correct, I need to take advantage of the summer weather while it's hear, the housework will be here come winter when getting outside is way more problematic!

Chi--Wow, having a big limb come down is scary. Sounds like it didn't hit the house, though. You must have a great herb garden! Good Lord, what a tragedy for Gordy's friend. Glad you found a good milk to drink.I like to get my milk products from a specific dairy here in Maine. It's not certified organic, but uses organic principles, and is Pasteurized. I do wish it wasn't homogenized, I would love to skim the cream, but being Pasteurized is more important to me. I know raw milk is less processed, but I keep thinking about all the disease outbreaks that stopped when Pasteurization became common practice. I guess we all have our personal quirks about our food!

Cammy--joining you in the blow up Chapel for prayers for that little boy and his family. It's going to be a while before I can pray for the boyfriend, though.

Goldie--aha, now I remember the place you were talking about! Sounds like it will be fun again. I hope the surgeon is right about the cancer not coming back. I'm with you, there is SOME chance any cancer can come back.
