I read on the other thread today......

It has to be canceritis and/or funkyunderarm crapola!  What tests are you having?  Will be thinking of you!  Best wishes for a non-cancer issue!!

    Hi guys,

Nothing yet, I have to go to onc. on Monday.  I'm dreading it, because even when you think things aren't so bad, they test the hell out of you until they find something bad!

If you guys look at the OH MY FREAKING.....part 2 thread, I have some more detail.  I just totally don't want to retype the whole saga again (I hope you guys don't mind!).

It's a bit of an emotional issue as well as a time issue!

I'm irked, because now I'm sick (thanks to Daniel, AGAIN!).  So, when I do go to doc, my node should be delightfully puffy.

    Bah!

    I love you guys.  Deb

Sorry things seem so grim right now, Deb. Know that I am thinking of you and sending you lots and lots of gentle caring hugs.

    Hope little Daniel is okay.

    Love, Anna

Dear Deb, so happy you got B9 news!

Sisters, I looked at facebook and it sort of scares me. Hanging out like that. Foranyone to see. Tell me I am being stupid. When I set up my account all of a sudden there were all these people I knew but who are not in my address book and I can't figure out how facebook knew about them and me. It's like a magic that I don't understand. The weirdest thing.

Ah well, going to bed with good warm feelings about dear Deb and her lymphedema. I deal with that too, Deb. It's doable. Bothersome, but doable.

    Love,

    Anna

Anna - I am not comfortable with facebook either. It's too open.  So I won't be posting anything too personal there.

    I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Facebook is a bit magical, I agree.  You guys can choose to have only your own chosen friends see what you post.  The people that show up in your account don't know anything about you being on Facebook unless you make them your friend.

If they aren't your "friend" then they will only see a tiny avatar and your name, with a message saying, "You must be friends with ____ to see this information"

So, it seems daunting, but it really is amazing.  BTW, you can also block people you don't want to see you at all no matter what.

Time for bed, we just got a new sleep number bed and I am so excited to go to sleep for once!!!!!!!!   Yay!
Thanks for the love and support, Deb

    O and A

It is confusing at first.  Go to your facebook account settings.  Make sure you want to publish your profile to FRIENDS ONLY

That way, only the people you approve to be on your friends list can see anything posted on your profile.  Anyone on facebook can search your name, but the only thing they can see without your permission is your name (it may not even be you) and your profile pic.  Some people don't put their actual photo on their profile.

I have not had one problem, and I have found over 100 friends on facebook in just a few months :)

Everytime you post a photo, note or video you get to decide who sees it (friends only, maybe you can even just have certain people view it)

And I am sorry Anna, I think I messed up our friend request link....

The profile photos you see in the lower right corner are people in your area, or friends of some of your friends and facebook is asking you if you want to invite them to be on your friends list.  Most of the ones I see I don't know, or don't want to know, so I just ignore them. Those people are not able to look at your profile if you restricted to friends list only.  OK now you all probably think it sounds way to complicated.  I am totally hooked.

Deb, dear hubbie and I have had a sleep number bed for nearly 8 years now~ we love it!

Anna, if you put your school in there it could be how they found you. But you can hit ignore.

If you think you know someone, just send a message first. I have done this and didn't know who they were. It helps if the maiden name is posted.

I have been talking to friends that I have had since grade school. And also ones from church. I love it.

Most of the people I know keep up with family this way. You can also post a message at the far left. That is only between you and that person. I do this a lot :-)

This thread is way more public.

    Happy Day for Deb!!!!!

Other note for Facebook....there are a few "Groups" that have been started with bc.org and ysc, and nosurrender.  If you just want to be more personal friends with those ladies, you can just join those groups and ignore everything else!

I'm totally hooked, too.  I ignore friend requests from people who obviously are trying to beef up their friend counts and just try to befriend me because we have mutual friends.  That was very wordy, wasn't it?

I had the BEST night of sleep I've had since my surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I actually woke up feeling refreshed!   OMG, best dollars we've spent EVER.

In fact, I think I will start a discussion about it to let everyone know!

Sisters, I have to be at the hospital at 10:45 in the morning. I will starve before the surgery.

I will have a smaller implant put in and also get "NIPS" LOL

I wasn't going to, but Michael needs something too :-) He is happy, but never said a thing to me about missing them... Bless his heart. I did it as a surprize.

    Love you guys ((((HUGS))))

Good Luck MaryLou.  I hope all goes well and both you and Michael will be very happy afterwards.

Anna - have fun at the retreat.  That grandson of yours is adorable!

Deb and Marge - thanks for the info.  I'm not sure I will be able to keep up with it but will try.  Hope to chat with you there.

Hope you are doing well Mary.

Did I tell you ladies that I was riding my bike with Lance Armstrong this past weekend?  Well, I blogged it if you are curious.  Too long to write here :)  I went with two of my local bc friends and we had quite the adventure....

ML posted on facebook that she was at home resting comfortably just after her surgery.  She said she is doing okay.

    No less, POST SOON, ML!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, when are we going to "try again," for another meeting?  Let's start working on it soon and see if we can all swing it this time.

Especially after losing so many this year, I'll be darned if I don't meet you guys soon and give you all a hug.

LOL, I have been on FB so much more than here. It is a happy place to be for me.

Everything has gone very well so far. I have to wear this compression bandage, so that's a pain. But no drains.

I also have diabetes, and am learning to deal with it. I have to watch everything I put into my mouth, so that's also very life changing.

The good thing is I feel so much better. More alive!

Sorry I have been MIA, I won't be that long next time.

    Here is Hayden....almost a year! May 12Th....
