I sent a box to Vicky and a box to Liz today. I guess they will arrive the beginning of next week. I love doing this!
Thank you for giving me something meaningful to do!
-
I'm trying to type through tears. My DH just saw the UPS "note" stuck to the front door. He brought it to me, I'm in the closet trying to find the Christmas Card list and said I had a box. Told him I didn't order anything - it was a big box - I go over to see where it is from - I saw Vickie's name and I started to tear up, DH is going what, what. I said "I got a hugagan!" I had to explain. We opened the box and the tears flowed. He could not believe it - he said it is like a blanket and he thinks it is beautiful too. You made him get tears in his eyes.
It is beautiful - I'm going to look funny wearing it everywhere because
I need my sisters each day and all I can say, is Thank You, I love you, thank you so very much for such a very special gift. I don't know how else to express my feelings. God bless each of you.

Hugs,
Neesie
-
Brenda - That's great! Now you're really surrounded with love!
-
Liz - I can totally relate about positioning the squares! I would be the same way...
It's kind of like a large mosaic.
-
Brenda: I have been looking everywhere for you. And here I find you with the biggest smile on your face. Im so happy you got a afghan. See how much you are loved?
Nicki
-
I do the same thing as Liz.............
I lay out the squares........stand back and look at the pattern....then start rearranging.....
DH sits back and laughs and keeps reminding me that each afghan is unique and doesn't need matching colors, patterns, etc.
-
LOL...I too have to "arrange" all the squares. I have wanted to make one starting in the center or one end with one color scheme and change it gradually outwards or downwards...haven't tried it yet...maybe after this one is done.
Hugs and love to you sweet Naniam! You deserve it!
-
All of you do a beautiful job of arranging the squares.Just remember it is the
love and warmth that makes these so special. As long as it takes me
anymore to decide on colors, one would never get sent!!!
LOL, Brenda
-
((((BRENDA)))) so happy for you mate, the best for the best, and reading your post I can see the smile on you face from so far away in Aussie. Nicki and others have already said it you are so loved sister.

Liz, Madison, Vicki...
Who needs squares?
-
Laura, I need a few squares.........
Liz, Vicki, how many do you need?
I know Liz will be completing one by Monday........I have to crochet an afghan for my military daughter's friend that was just diagnosed with bone cancer. I hope to have it finished by Monday.
-
Chemo #30 on Monday made for a rough week. I stopped at the grocery store on my way home from work to stock up for what is promising to be a frigid weekend in KC.
And then...I came home to find love waiting for me on my doorstep.
The groceries sat untouched in my car while I opened a box that came from a name and address I did not recognize.
Inside was this...
My very own Hugaghan!
The timing couldn't have been more perfect.
Thanks to all of you, I am literally wrapped in love and warmth; I am figuratively sitting by the fire, holding hands with all of you...my sweet sisters.
Thank you to everyone who shared their talent, time, and support.
Thank you so much for encircling me with your LOVE!
Sending love and hugs back,
~Kelly
(I am not the best photographer, but I tried to get each square in the above photo so you could see the finished product.)
