poppin back in quick...boy I have missed you all so much. I promised my "assistant" that is putting puzzles together in my office ice cream at 2:15...that is if we can get it back her without it melting!!! 96 degrees...can't wait to get home and hit the pool.
Nicki...that woman isn't your friend! We are your friends and you don't need someone who will make you feel obligated in any way. Oh...and you're right...my emotions are getting the best of me! I too heard a dozen "you look better than ever's"...geez...guess I know how I used to look and it wasn't a pretty sight LOL!!!
Lisa...what an adorable GS!!
Jeannie girl...we always notice the MIA...just don't know where to find them! My sister was almost legally blind and had the Lasix surgery and is thrilled. My daugher and DH were giving it another try and he managed to last a whole week. Then he blew it again.
Cheri...tomatoes and now corn!!! NO FAIR...we aren't even close yet. We have pig roasts here where they bury the pig in the ground (a pit)...without the heads LOL.
Angel...sendin you a hug and some earplugs to get you through the terrible two's! Heehee..I should have actually reached out and pinched her and asked her if her's were gettin a bit saggy. The more I think about it the madder it makes me!
Denise...wow...loving the pictures of you and Suz...beautiful ladies all the way. thanks for posting them.
Shirley....OMG...I love the chandelier!!!! I love stuff like that and I would proudly hang it on my porch. I have no idea why she is cruising with moron hubby but oh well...she's a big girl. Wait till she needs mommy to pay her income taxes or dentist bills again.
Colleen...welcome home to you and Warren. I know what you mean about happy and sad at the same time. I think we have been in the same place. Hugs to ya
Margaret...sorry the knifty knitter was a bust. You tried hard though.
CY, Puppy, Mena, Gina...love ya all and sending prayers your way.
Joyce...it's hot here too...this is strange weather we are having. I can't imagine what August will be like!
Jankay...were did you go...
Jasmine...sent you an IM as you were signing off! Hows my other drinkin bud today?
Odalys...Nate has spent the last few days between the living room and the pool too as its so hot.
MB...double dog dare ya. Hey...its just your chest...LOL.
Sheri...don't ya hate the meltdown days.
Z...I like your disclaimer...that's me too only mine is Lexapro and Xanex...
off to grab some ice cream so I can get back to work!
Love ya all
Vickie -
Jan...oh I so wish I had done that! You can have a Harley fest in my back yard and we won't even care how many show up or don't show up...
Peter...throwing an extra log on the fire as you are sleeping. Sweet dreams. -
Taking advantage of this nice day and popping in again. I love the freedom of popping in when I want to. Went for another swim. Now just relaxing. Wasnt gonna drink but DH brought me a bloody mary while I was in the pool - very nice indeed.
Cheri: Im Italian with Mediterranean skin. I used to bake in the sun and would get gorgeous tans. When we first bought this house 4 years ago I was disappointed because there were so many tall trees there is only a certain amount of time when the sun is fully on the pool. Otherwise you can always find a shady spot. Now, after BC - I love it. I dont bake in the sun anymore, but I must say that I have gotten my daily requirements of Vitamin D and do have some nice color.
Denise: Oh my goodness what wonderful pictures. You both look great! Looks like you were having alot of fun.
Charlotte: Its hot hot hot here too. Hoping that we will get the evening thunderstorms they are talking about. It could be hit and go - but we need the rain badly.
Jan: Hahahahaha spare tire as big as a 25 pound baby! Do you ever go to Sturgis?
Vickie: You are so right about her not really being my friend. I talked to my DH about it for along time. Dont want to deal with mind games. So I feel a monkey is off my back. Now explain more. If daughter and her DH are separated, why are they going on a cruise together?
OK - time for another jump in the water. Too hot to do anything else.
Nicki -
Hey Shirley...do you have a sofa on your front porch? lol Janny is so silly. hahahaha
Hey Madison.
Charlene, at least you can catch your Terrible Twoer. I can't wait until I can catch mine. hahahaha
Vickie, you'll still pay her taxes and her dentist bill. Parents and grandparents are easy.
Next year lets go to Branson, Mo. or somewhere. That's centrally located and we have 12 acres out here and only an hour and a half from Branson, lakes everywhere. Just a thought. Plus there'll be veg/fruit stands along the roads.
pals
cheri -
well shoot howdy I'm glad you all like my fancy new light. So far the ants have not eaten me. Have killed at least a million. The kitchen is done except for the pantry. Taking a break before I tackel (how do you spell that) it.
Sheri, have always wanted to come to Kentucky and see the Derby.
Marsha, Elle Mae is ummmmm curvy....I think I resemble granny more. Hey I have an old fridge out there. Think I'll have to make me a kegorator.
Nicki, 4am? yowsers.
Colleen, uhoh, I'm one of the pregnant belly patters. But I always ask first. And I never poke.
Jeannie, yikes. Think that would send me rushing into eye surgery too.
Cheri, I'm glad your leg if feeling better.
Hi right back at you Madison.
Denise, you two look fabulous.
MB sadly my stove isn't for cooking. Just for sitting by the fire. They make chandelier that use candles to my dear. No excuse to not be a full fledged Clampett.
Heres the stove
And heres the candlier I have over my table on my porch. Have I mentioned lately that I love my porch. One of the main reasons we bought the house.
Charlene, you live in a farmhouse? very very cool. I've always dreamed of living in a farmhouse. Just don't want the farm to go with it.
Jan I have better than a couch.
OK thats all I promise. -
OLALA, I do believe Cheri just volunteered to host Pinstock the Second.
-
Hi to all from A to Z!
2:30p and I still have 3 bags of beans to snap, wash, blanch and freeze! I certainly have become the Queen of Procrastionation!! Guess that is better than the Queen of Poop Stories I was so graciousally given by you know who!!!!
Damn Sam, I wish I could spell!!!!
Vickie: Ice Cream!! I'm still wanting my McDonalds McFlurry! Gotta cheer you up and get you back on track here! I know all it takes is a yucky morning and it can turn into a real Pi**y Day. Bummer about your DD....What can I say? You know she loves you to pieces, grown up but they don't always make 'grown up' choices. I have to agree with the other Hot Heads here............you should have just reached out and given her a "titty twister" and said, "oops, didn't know they were real!"
Nicki: I am so glad that you have enjoyed your vacation! Sounds like it did you a world of good! And the party...Kudo's for going! Even if it was overwhelming at times, you still managed to have fun! I do the same thing, drag my feet about going places and rather stay home..but once I go, I have a good time.
I've been to a couple of Pig Roast...........minus the heads! I prefer my bacon in a wrapper in a store cooler with "armour" or "Hicory Farms" stamped on it!
To Funny............DH looking like Otto!!
Sounds like your 'friend' has some issues of her own to deal with. If she doesn't want to continue sending the money..she certainly didn't have to make you feel like a piece of crap the way she told you.
Colleen: So glad that you and Warren had a good time at the reunion. I'm sure there are times that you don't feel like you are a family..........just the two of you. I raised my 3 kids alone for 19 years.............Let me tell you, we are family..and very close at that. You will look back in a few years and be happy of all you were able to give to Warren, and he'll look back and be thankful that he had such a special Mom/Dad rolled into one person! I guarantee it!
Deb: LMAO over the Sand Cranes in Michigan!!!! And naming your Chickens.........Friend, you are to funny and can always make me chuckle!
Z: Nice to hear from you as always! Just noticed your new Avator today..........How neat is that!
Your little Joseph is in my thoughts and prayers. This crap is just so unfair.
Peter: Snuck off to the Hospital without letting us know. Did someone warn him about the Magic Carpet, Mazer and all of us tagging along??????????? Probably scared the poor gent to pieces!
Charlene: Our little bundle of energy! My GD started practicing for her terrible two's when she was about 18 months old.........had them perfected by the time she was 2........and decided it was so much fun she'd keep at it through her 3's too!! Good luck!
They turned Bugs into Stew......EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
I'll let you guess......am I the blonde or the brunette in the picture?
Dryer buzzed.....be back in a few.
Hugs,
Denise -
Popping back in for a minute!
Nicki, we have been to Sturgis twice. In '02 and '06. We are going back again next summer. What a total blast!!! You certainly do see the oddest things (and people) there. We stayed at the Buffalo Chip campground which is the original "party central" there. I didn't care if I never saw another naked boobie again as long as I live. I think I'm going to head out to the pool soon, too. Also, I didn't read back far enough. Did you have a falling out with the friend who was giving you the monthly check?
Denise, great pics! I can't wait to meet the girls who are going to Pinkstock. I wish everyone was going!
Vickie, part of the problem with the Harley fest, is that we sell tickets at $25.00 per head. We need to charge to cover the cost of the food, beer and port-a-potty. We don't have it at our house. It is held at another friend's house. We needed more people to come to justify the cost.
Cheri, good luck with your terrible-twoer. That is a tough age. I know that Kevin wouldn't warm up to you for a long time. Is he better now? My GS, who is 4 now, still likes Pop Pop and little better than me. He can get on the floor and rough house with him and I have to be careful with my arm, cause I have mild LE. Mom Mom is just no fun at all . -
I think I wanna go live on Shirleys porch! Wow...I love it!
-
I should be doing a ton of other things but I'm popping back in here while I have my afternoon coffee!
Jan - Bummer about the Harley Fest. My SO used to ride .. had to sell his bike because of other responsibilities (read Ava lol) and not really having time to ride. Went with a large group once to the Vietnam Memorial. Someday he'll get another bike. He's from Lancaster. You'll have a gorgeous ride to there!
Vickie - mmmmm, perfect day for ice cream. Have to go get me some Mud Tracks!
Nicki - did you call me Charlotte on purpose? LOL! Love a good bloody mary myself!
Cheri - that's true, I can chase and catch mine! LOL I Really admire you doing what you do in your wheelchair. I can only imagine how tough that is!
Denise - hmmmm, I'm never good at guessing and you both look so sweet! Okay, I'll play. You're the blond!
Shirley - yep, lucked out on finding the farmhouse. It's from the 18th century and pretty cool. Has an old summer kitchen next to it we use for storage. On 3 acres but the landlord takes care of most of the yard. No longer used for real farming, I couldn't handle that either! Love your porch!
Okay off to shower before I take Audrey for her weekly allergy shot! I'd rather be napping like Ava! -
Okay, clothes (towels) out of the dryer and the dang beans are still waiting to be snapped!
I just got a call from a Man who needs to hire a private duty for help with his Mom who is on Hospice. Why can't I get so called "excited" about these calls anymore? I am totally bummed out that he called me..........that's terrible of me. Oh, and of course his Mom has Cancer. I didn't give him an answer, said I would "go over" my schedule and give him a call back..............What should I do???????????????
Margaret: I missed what happened with the Knifty Knitter. I take it you are giving up on it, eh? I still like using mine, but after seeing all of the beautiful patterns the girls are sending, I'm kinda wishing I could crochet.
Sure hope you survived Boot Camp! I give you credit....that is something that I can not see myself doing in this lifetime!
Shirley: I am so proud to say that I know a "real live Clampet!" Have you struck oil yet? I think the Chandelier looks great! You have a pot belly stove out there too? You go girl!!!!!!!!!!! As far as the ants go, I use this stuff called "terro"..works great. Kinda neat, cuz when you put a bit of it out, it attracts the ants and then they take it back to their nest. You can actually see dozens of ants crawl on the bait (liquid on cardboard) then they disappear and Viola!!!!
JanKay: Loved the signs you posted today! Up North in MI there is a sign that says something like, "Don't pass if uncoming cars are present." Duh, ya think!
Gus: Hope your gaining some with the Insurance Co.....that just makes me so mad.
Jeannie and Gus: Deliverence Tent for sure....Me's thinks it's gonna be pretty full with all the "ignorant people" around!
Marsha: What a Bragger! Your Uni-Boob is bigger than Boo's! You were off to the Grill today..........why did I think you were having a break from it?
Itchy numb spot.........the worst! I'm 3 1/2 years out of surgery and I'm still numb!!!! Doesn't bother me unless I realize it.........then I go crazy!
MB: Oh come on...........show us the tattoo! Where there's a will there is a way!!!! I can tell you are getting excited for Pinkstock...........so nice of you to do this!!
Sheri: Gotta love the Guilt Trip! Just tell her that if you wanted to go on a trip you'd have booked it yourself, and it wouldn't be a guilt trip! Just Kidding..no way could I even say that! Good luck and count the days!
Liz: Still spackling and Sanding.........do you see an end in sight yet?
Where is Shokk? Shokk, TOTO is looking for you!!!!
Cheri: Sorry you're in a Funk.........getting tired of sitting around I'm sure. You're on the mend my friend..you'll be up and at em soon! Glad your leg is doing better today. How long does the cast stay on?
Madison: Hi right back to ya! Hope you're doing okay and the work day is almost done!
Jan: BBQ, Bike and Pool..........sounds like a great day!
Missing many and will be back later........Gotta atleast make an attempt at these dang beans before DH comes Home!!!!
Hugs,
Denise -
Charlene: You get a GOLD star!!!!
Hugs,
Denise -
Wooo Hooo Denise!!!! I love when I'm right! LOL
-
Cheri berry...you're right...I would do anything for my kids...anything in the world. Just venting!
and where is Shokk???? I miss Gina and Susan too...pouty face. -
Happy Monday everyone!
I haven't been in the circle much the last few days because I've been wrestling with a terrible addiction I've had for the past 8 years and I'm afraid the addiction has finally won again this year in spite of my efforts to resist. Yup, I'm addicted to Big Brother Reality TV and Sunday I broke down and ordered the live feeds again.
Vickie, Nicki -- so sorry about what your 'friends' did but you know we love you here.
Vickie -- maybe your daughter is afraid NOT to go on the cruise because she knows there will be scantily clad temptation aboard to entice that hubby of hers. I think you can take it to the bank that she loves you and realizes all you do for her but she doesn't seem to be ready to let this marriage go quite yet.
Cheri -- how is the leg today? I'm in for Branson for sure.
I'll try to stop in again later. Hugs around the circle from A to Z. -
Charelene: Definitely blame it on the bloody mary.
-
Hi All,
I made it through day 1 of boot camp!!! Kicked my butt though. It will work if I quit eating....portion control will have to be my new mantra.
Peter, hope everything is ok with the sleep testing. I have a sleeping problem, maybe apnea, causes me to snore. My hubby calls me his snorebaby but I think if some of the weight came off, the snoring would stop.
Jankay, what happened to your avatar?
Vickie, some people are plain rude and stupid.
Joyce, understand the humidity is HIGH back there.
Nicki, hope you are enjoying your swim and your last day off.
Cheri, hope your leg is feeling better.
Shirley, boot camp was good but I've already decided to switch my Wed. to Tues. cuz on Wed. they time you on running....no thank you. I do feel good, sore, but good.
Colleen, I hate when I get that message but we're smarter than computers.
Denise, great pictures.
Oops, times up.....back to work for me; will catch up with everyone else later.
Margaret -
Denise and Suz....great pictures! You guys look great and so fun. I am very impressed with the two of you up dancing on your chairs like a couple of kids. In PUBLIC no less. Mom always said I was a good influence (or something about influencing LOL)
Jan, now that your son is moving to Florida, I expect to see you and hubby at Bike Week Daytona! I might would even throw a party while you're around. My friends and yours, might be dangerous fun. LOL Oh and put the mint in before the ice, let it mull (is that a word?) and make sure and use a straw when drinking a mojito! teehee
Shirley I swear you crack me up. Everyone saying how lovely your Clampett chandilier is. CRAP I want to g o to Pinkstock but at least we know Cheri is hosting next year HAHA
Marsha -
Hot digity - Cheri is hosting next year? I can drive to her house.
-
Then I guess you get to help with all the work Liz!
-
margaret
i couldnt get my avatar to show -
Hmmm - that's a thought Marsha. I'm 6 hours away from Cheri I think.
Denise - great pics by the way. Is there an end in sight? I'm beginning to think not.
Sher - I want your porch please.
MB - loved the card. LOL
Nicki - glad you've had such a wonderful vacation. You so deserve it.
Jan - my BIL went to Sturgis last year and my boss went 2 years ago. I saw some "interesting" pics from there. LOL
Charlene - believe me, the bones/muscles are aching. I'm having to force myself to get up.
Back to work for me. BBL
Hugs
Liz -
Jasmine - I love Big Brother. I've never done the live feeds though since I still live in the world of dial-up. I'll have cable once my son moves though. I had my surgery on a Thursday and they said that's the first thing I ask when I woke up was who was voted off. LOL
-
idont know about anybody else but mr puter is aggravating
i cannot get the index up to show our differnet threads
and plus my avatar wont show \
i tried to resize but that didnt work eith er -
LOL...wow Liz...now that's hardcore! Nobody has been voted out of the house yet. Amber and Carol are nominated. The 'walking coloring book' man is creeping some of the girls out though. Jen does NOT want him to touch her.
-
Charlene, we rode out to Lancaster a couple of years ago. It is just beautiful. All the rolling farmland and the Amish. Has your SO done the Harley factory tour in York? That was interesting, even for me, LOL!
Marsha, I'm not sure we will go to Daytona Bike Week. We were thinking more along the lines of Biketoberfest in Oct. We can't swing it this year, but who knows. If we drive down, we will for sure stop in to party with you . We will probably fly down to see DS most of the time. How far are you from Cape Coral?
Nicki, the Bloody Mary sounds good. I'm drinking a Mike's Hard Cranberry Lemonade. It's really good on a day like this. I never did make it to the pool. I don't feel like rolling the solar cover off myself. Maybe we will take a skinny dip after dinner.
Liz, did your BIL have a good time in Sturgis? I'll bet he did! Besides all the craziness out there, the riding is beautiful. We also went to Yellowstone. We met a couple from CA in Sturgis and we are going to hook up with them next summer and go to the Grand Tetons.
I can't get into the reality shows. My boss is really into Big Brother. I spend too much time in front of the boob tube as it is . -
Neesie, great pics of you & Suz. I know you had a great tine.
Jazz, glad to see you post I was getting a little concerned about you. We usually have a morning IM and it's been a couple days.
Liz, you're only 6 hours from me? Well shoot. Next year you can come early and stay late and help me. We'll get Susan too. This fall I may invite myself to your house Liz, after I start walking. I'd love to just throw a bag in the car and start off for about a week. I could really use the time away I've been stuck in this house for so long!
Iris, where are you?
Gina, where are you?
Amy, when are you coming home, we miss you.
pals
cheri -
Jankay, I had alot of trouble when I changed my avatar. I had to clean out the cookies & files. Then it showed right up.
Cheri -
Cheri, this cracked me up:
"We usually have a morning IM"
Honey, something about that just don't sound right! -
Cheri -- yes I've been neglecting my morning chats for sure.
