I know what you are all thinking!!!! Just can't quite imagine me in the kitchen, picking, plucking, snapping, blanching and freezing can ya??!! One season a year..........that is it!

Yes Marsha, you certainly are an "influence" we'll leave the first word out so all can use their thoughts!!

Let's see, Shirley's porch is better decorated than my house.
Somebodies doing something that don't sound right (marsha) with an IM.
    Cheri's hosting Pinkstock next year!

    Sounds all good to me!

Suz: If you're lurking out there, I hope you had a safe trip home..post your pics, (if they are decent!) So glad we had the chance to meet!

    Good Night to all,

    good evening ladies,
I use yahoo IM too...it's vickie13811 if anyone is interested.
What a friggin red letter day this has been. Psycho sister blew something stupid way out of proportion and got angry and won't babysit Nate any more. She's in serious need of some counseling along with her kids. Geez...try my hardest to get along with her as no one else in the family does and it's nearly friggin impossible. Lies constantly about the stupidest things and has no idea that people know when she's lying. This is the same sister that the week before my mastectomy said she was no longer my sister because I was suppose to only allow her to be at the hospital as she doesn't get along with anyone else. Called me like 8 times at work in one day just ranting and raving. I can't take it any more...she is too stressful to deal with...drama all the time so I am saying to hell with it and I'll take Nate to work with me. I have another sitter lined up but it's gonna be way more expensive (but worth it). God...I so need a break. Oops...whining again...sorry...end of whine.
Walking the perimeter and totally confused about what you are all up to LOL.
Peter...wake up...put some logs on the fire and started the coffee. I just ate a huge piece of chocolate chip coffee cake...sorry I didn't save ya a piece.
Denise is off to bed already...think I'll sneak in and hid her beans LOL. Givin her a smooch on the forehead and a wish for sweet dreams.
Gotta see what kinda influence Marsha has on me! I kinda like her influence...could use a bit more of it I do believe...sweet dreams...
Gonna sit on Shirleys porch for a spell...I so love a porch. Too hot to build a fire but the lighting is simply beautiful! Good night sweet lady.
Where did our Nickster go...off to bed alread so she can go back to work tomorrow. Smoothing her hair and tucking her in...happy dreams to you.
Hmmm...Margaret may need a massage...anyone know how to do such a thing...come to her wagon please...she put in a hard day! Way to go. Giving you a couple tylenol and a hug for a job well done! Remember...if me and Cheri can quit smoking you can do this!
Jasmine has me curious about this big brother thing so I may check it out. Good night sweet sister.
Madison is crocheting away as usual. love and hugs to you dear girl.
Shokk...now don't be making us worry and sending out a posse! Where are you.
Betty, Anne, Joyce, Deb, Karenindenver (are you home yet?), Lini, Shel (MIA's), Odalys, Sheri, Cherryl, Amy (we miss you), Jankay (sending you a pm...tried to call you...will talk to you tomorrow), Z, Angel, Denise, Gus, Jan, Liz, Susan, Newter, Tricia (where are you?), etc etc etc...love and hugs to all. Hope you all have sweet happy dreams.

oh...one bright spot in the day (yup...just one)...had new carpet installed at work above my office and got to talk to the carpet installer...ooolaaalaaaa...yeah...HOT! Gonna track him down next time he comes in LOL. See if he's interested in a boobless, 45 year old, hormone deprived, depressed, loopy, volcanic hot flashing, single mom...oh my what a personal ad that would make LOL!

Love ya all sweet sisters and dear brother!
Sending an angel to watch over all of us tonight. Praying for a happier day tomorrow. Truly at the end of my rope and tying a knot!

Thank goodness for fans and air conditioning. To think I used to Love the heat! I do still prefer it to the cold by a long shot though.

Jan - my SO was supposed to tour the Harley factory with a bunch of biker friends but it fell through .. and then he got rid of his bike. Of course he can still tour it, he just hasn't gotten around to it but really wants to!

Thinking of everyone from Amy - Z, too tired and achy to post much tonight. Have sweet dreams everyone!

Feeling blue so I'm gonna sit down and have a little chat with God. While I'm at it, I'm asking him to hold his loving arms around all of you.

I especially ask for healing and peace for Mena, Gina, and Puppy today. I ask for strength to keep on keeping on for all my sisters still in treatment...that the side effects will fade away and the treatment will kick some cancer butt. I pray for those having problems with family and friends…those things are always so stressful and they sap our already depleted energy. For those of us done with our physical treatment, I pray for other types of healing...emotional healing, spiritual healing, healing of our immune systems…

For all of us I pray for sweet dreams tonight, increased energy tomorrow and a recognition that we are precious children of God.

    Love ya all….

Popping back in to tuck everyone night night, well, except Peter, and I'm tickling his toes.

    Charlene, what are Mud Tracks?

Denise, I totally give up on the Knifty Knitter. I must truly have a mental block with it. I think I'll figure out how to crochet instead. Boot camp - oh my, the tops of my legs are sore. I'm going tomorrow instead of Wed. because on Wed. mornings they go to different tracks and time you on running. I'd rather do the squats, lunges, push ups, etc., so I'm going to go Mon/Tues/Fri.

Shirley, I like the chandelier, and a pot belly stove too. Cool.

Gus, keep fighting the ins. company. I have a girlfriend whose husband has multiple myeloma (we've put him in the center of the circle before) and he had a bone marrow transplant last year, which failed. The drs. wanted him to take another medication and the ins. co. said they wouldn't pay because it was experimental so the cost to them would have been $3k a month. They fought it and won and now will be paying $25 a week for the medicine so be persistent.

Vickie, I know you're hurt with DD's decision to go on the cruise but maybe she really is trying to make it work. And you and I both know that if she told you she needed money for the dentist or to pay some bills, you'd help her. Why don't you and Nate come to San Francisco for a visit? Southwest is starting flights from LaGuardia to SFO starting 8/26 - might be able to get a cheap flight.

Liz and Jas, you're funny with Big Brother. That's one reality show I didn't really get into. I don't watch Survivor either, hubby does though.

Cheri, they had us bring weights from 5 - 10 lbs. Well after doing all those arm lifts, 5 lbs. is too heavy to start with!

Deb, when you have your chat with God, tell him that I said hello. I have little chats all the time, never go to church anymore but do say hello to Him.

Walking around the perimeter and it seems all is quiet. I think I'm going to go soak my muscles in the tub and get ready for it again tomorrow.

    Night all, Amy to Z.

The story is told of a man who got a permit to open the first tavern (bar) in a small town. The members of a local church were strongly opposed to the bar, so they began to pray that God would intervene.

A few days before the tavern was scheduled to open, lightning hit the structure and it burned to the ground.

The people of the church were surprised but pleased - until they received notice that the would-be tavern owner was suing them.

He contended that their prayers were responsible for the burning of the building. They denied the charge.

At the conclusion of the preliminary hearing, the judge wryly remarked, "At this point I don't know what my decision will be, but it seems that the tavern owner believes in the power of prayer and these church people don't."

    Good morning everyone,

I'm going thru serious board withdrawal. We left Tennessee early Sunday morning drove to Mt. Vernon, IL. At the first sign for Chicago, I said to Tony, "Let's go there. Nicki will protect me." But no we had to go on to St. Louis. We got in yesterday about 11 am. I took the valet guy three trips to unload the van.

Then I started working and haven't stopped until about 9 last night. I'm too old for this!!!

And I had end my "vacation" from arimidex on Sat. All the pain came roaring back that had subsided in the two weeks I was off. I'm now sporting an elbow brace just to give it a little support.

I haven't read back to all I missed. I just know I missed you all.

Coffee is done and I better get back at it. I'm going to try and get on at least this time each day just to say hi, but if I don't make it...know I love and miss you all.

    Big hugs Amy to Z.

good morning sisters and brother Peter...are you home yet?
Hmmm...seems to be some blues going around again. Thanks for the prayer and the talk with God for us all Deb. Sending you a hug too.
Margaret...you're right, I'd do anything for my kids. Thanks for the San Francisco idea...I might just watch the ticket prices! I'm a long ways from NYC...5 hours but I can watch the prices from Syracuse. Hugs to you.
Nicki, Betty and Jankay and all the sunshine girls...wake up...time to rise and shine.
Jankay...that was a cute one...think I'll give it to our pastor as she'll get a real kick out of it.
Gonna be another scorcher today...93 degrees...will make for thunderstorms tonight...we really could use some rain! It's amazing how many storms we've had and no rain! Wind, thunder, lightning, hail, no rain.
Ok...gotta boogie...time to shower and head out the door.
I love ya all and I wish you all a grand and glorious day today. Sending special prayers for Puppy (can someone get some news...worried about her), CY, Gina, Mena and all who need it.

Good Morning Everyone: Yes, I had to drag myself out of bed. Got a little too used to sleeping in later. And any wild ideas I had about going into work earlier. Ha - aint gonna happen.

Betty: Good to hear from you. Darn you almost made it to Chicago! This is my first day back to work after vacation, yesterday I was excited, today Im grumpy.

Vickie: Hot and Humid here too. But thank goodness we did get some rain last night. There is a cold front moving our way and it is supposed to cool down the rest of the week.

MargaretB: Oh my, that boot camp sounds brutal. I think I will stick with my walking 5 pound weights does sound like alot to begin with. But then, here is me who thinks Im doing great with 4 pound weights. Wont go any higher!

Jankay: That was a funny one. Got me to laugh outloud.

DebC: Thanks for the prayer. I said a similiar for all of us this morning.

Charlene: I sued to love the heat too. Actually I still do when Im in a pool or inside air conditioning. Its the humidity that really gets to me.

I must be living in LaLa land. How in the world did I miss that Puppy was having her brain cath today? Hoping she felt the strength of all of us with her. Sending some healing vibes her way.

Denise: About my friend. Its sad. She goes through these spells. We have always joked that she is probably bipolar. She has so much money and tries to buy love and friendship. Her sending me money every month is something I will always be thankful for - I have no regrets as she sent it to me for 2 years!! Can you believe she actually called me yesterday? I think maybe trying to feel me out to see if I was angry. My husband said I did good. Acted normal, cheerful, and talkative. I think Im her only friend, because Im probably the only one that understands her. But its time for me to pull away for a bit - its just too unhealthy for me. Its weird cause Im a pretty private person myself. Dont really have alot of friends and for a bit felt sorry for myself. Then I realized you all are my friends. I have a wonderful gift coming to these boards and meeting all of you.

Jan: My BIL and his friends are wanna be bikers. They are school teachers and business men who decided to get harleys after they turned 50. They driver to sturgis in comfort in a big camper, actually store their bikes in the camper lol. Then when they get there, they ride about. The reason I know about Sturgis, is that I have always been into wrestling and there used to be a big wrestling event there every year. Sounds like its fun. One big party.

Jasmine: I dont get to watch many reality shows in this household so I have never seen big brother. I do have a similiar addiction though and that is to Sopranos and Deadwood.

Cheri: Hmmmm did I read your hosting Pinkstock next year? It must be because of all those fresh vegetables you have been talking about.

In reality, it sounds like those of you going to Pinkstock are gonna have so much fun. I sure wish I could go - and who will keep me company while your gone? I hope you get lots of pictures.

Well, my coffee did its job. The sleepiness is gone. Might even hop in the shower and leave early like I originally planned. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good morning Campers. Happy Tuesday! Peter, I used to take the 'sleep test' all the time back in my college days. Now I can't hardly get past 8 pm at evening before I'm ready to zonk out. I can even drink cups and cups of joe and it does not good.

Vickie, Nicki -- big hugs for you. It will get better. You have to hang onto that. Its just a little rough spot now.

Betty -- you made me tired just looking at the letters in your post! I hope you find something to help with the Arimidex pain.

Bey Boo -- have a fantabulous day!

Hi Jankay -- how is the therapy coming?

    Anyone hear from Puppy yet?

    Well, gotta run...be back later.

Good Morning! Another good day for ice cream. Of course, Every day is a good day for ice cream!

Margaret - duh, I meant to say MOOSE tracks. Vanilla ice cream loaded with small peanut butter cups and fudge. Yummy!

Deb - your words are very touching and as Colleen said, comforting. Thank you.

Nicki - It's not the heat it's the humidity! Definitely!
I know where you're coming from with your friend. My oldest and best friend who I've had for 30 years actually is bipolar. A lot of people don't understand her and it can be hard to be her friend at times. I've found that keeping our distance is actually healthy for our friendship. She's there for me for the real "big" things in life as I am for her. It's sad that we can't be closer on a more regular basis but I know that she's there. I've come to accept the way it is.

Peter - funny! Sorry you didn't sleep well, catch up now.

MB - Sounds like you're throwing one heck of a party! Wish I could make it.

Nicki - I have a family reunion the weekend of Pinkstock and will have family visiting me but will pop in and keep you company when I can. Looks like we'll have a lot of empty homes to go party at! lol

Good morning Betty, Vickie, Jasmine, Sue and everyone from Amy to Z!

    Charlene
