Good evening everyone. I have to make this short. My leg/foot is hurting me tonight all the way up to my knee. Don't know why, I didn't do anything different. I took a nap earlier maybe I slept on it wrong. Although, it's in a cast. I'm going back to bed soon and prop it up high and see if that helps.
I really don't know where minced meat comes from...but I did hear that about the brains. lol I'll ask Mother and let you know.
Colleen/Warren, welcome back.
Z, very nice post as always.
Cy, just rest and get well.
Hey Margaret, Charlene and Liz.
Peter, good luck with your sleep study. Let me know how it goes because I was set up for one but put it off because of my foot. I still have to have one. I sleep with oxygen at night due to sleep apnea.
Vickie, you alright? Don't make me worry about you.
Hey Iris, going to bed soon, gotta get some releif from this foot. Talk to you tomorrow.
To all you from Amy to Z, rest well my friends.

Good morning all,
I'm here and I'm sorry for not posting yesterday. I just had "one of those days"...you know the kind.
Weddings (for reasons I won't get into) make me so very sad. The songs they played at the reception made me both sad and they played the lovely friggin "Live Like You are Dying" song which I personally think is the worst song ever. I told everyone there that my wish were that they NEVER got a chance to live like they were dying. I understand what he's saying in the song but how many of you have gone Rocky Mountain climbing or skydiving...give me a break. Then I had an old friend come up to me asking all about how I was doing. She asked if I had a mastectomy, if I had both removed, if I had reconstructions...yes, yes, no...she then reached out and grabbed BOTH of my "breasts" in her hands and sqeezed them and said "oh...so these aren't real!". I nearly slapped her! Can you imagine! I am shocked at some of the things people will say and do.
My jaw is feeling a little better but it would be nice to eat again and I hate trying to wear the mouth guard at night.
nuf whinin...I guess I just pulled my head out of the sand and looked around and wasn't quite sure I liked what I saw but I've got my boy and were a team and together we can do anything. Miss my daughter but she's grown and love Florida and I'm happy that she's where she is happy.
I'll catch up with what is going on with everyone later...I'm ok...all is well. Sorry for the ramble. I don't know what I would do without all of you. I try really hard to not bring any of the "crap" in my life here but really have no one else in the world to talk to.
I love you all
Vickie -
vicki
rambling about crap is allowed
we do it
why not u -
Vicky,
We all underastand and this is the place we all come to talk things over. You are right some people do really stupid things. Hopefully your friend was drinking alot that could explain her actions. Not excuse them but explain them. How rude!
Have to go to work today and it is hotter then He** here. I have no energy at all.I will check in later on.
Take Care and have a great day!

Good morning CG's and Peter.
(((((Vickie))))) How insensitive of her and such a violation of your private space!!! I would be upset too. Sending lots of love your way today.
Charlene - Steven just turned 9. He is looking forward for soccer season. Due to the weather they only play soccer during the winter so he is has to wait until Nov or so to start practices again. He is really enjoying his video games this summer, too hot to play outside.
Peter - I wish you had those numbers too.
Jankay - too funny.
Wishing everyone a good day. -
Good Morning Everyone: Well I took advantage and slept late again. This will be my last day off and then its back to work tomorrow.
Just tried reading back and it sure seems like it was a quiet Sunday. Hope everyone was out and doing some fun things.
Jeannie: There is always alot going on here, I think thats part of the fun of this thread. I was really glad to see you.
Cheri: I have never been to a pig roast before. I probably would have been ok if they didnt cook it with the head on. Yucky. Little Kevin - terrible two's. What a combination.
Angel: You will have alot of fun at the family reunion. I have to say my family has been great - they somehow know what to say and what not to say. Its casual friends that I dont see very often that blow my mind sometimes. Another person dealin with terrible two's. You have to have alot of energy for that I do believe.
Denise: How fun to have met up with Suz. Anxiously waiting to see some pictures.
Sherloc: Hahahahahaha - turning into the Clampets! I look at pictures of me before breat cancer and I see a sparkle in my eyes. I look at pictures now and that sparkle is gone. My face is tired and weary, and right now I look much older than my age.
Liz: After today, I will be back to my normal routine, and that means limited computer time. It will make me absolutely crazy.
Colleen: Glad your back and had a good time at the family reunion. Where is Grafton in relationship to Chicago?
MargaretB: Yummy dinner and good luck at boot camp today.
DebC: Im just cant eat anything that I see. I would be a terrible hunter.
UJeannie: I too have been wearing glasses since I was 6 years old.
CY: glad you stopped in to say hello. Sorry about the pain and dizziness. Hope your feeling better this morning.
Z: Sad story. Always hate to hear about someone that young getting cancer. I like the idea of being strong mentally and spiritually.
Cheryl Holt: With regards to moving. I like unpacking much more than packing. Glad you are settling in to your new place.
Odalys: For me its sort of funny. My coworkers watched me go through this whole journey from the start. They are so supportive of me. Guess thats why I feel safe there. I never get comments from them, thank goodness.
Peter: Good luck with the sleep study. Hope they arnt looking for sleep apnea.
Charlene: I cant believe where you get your energy. Up early, up late. I need my 8+ hours of sleep or Im crabby.
Vickie: What a terrible thing for your friend to do. Whatis wrong with some people? Im still sad about my friend and what she did to me last week. I started thinking about it and ya know - she has done this to me in the past. She has so much money and she thinks she can buy friendship. She is way to generous with her money and then complains about it later. Im feeling a definite sense of relief and will slowly pull away from her. I dont need this emotional stuff she dumps on me when she gets into one of her moods.
Good morning to Joyce and Jankay.
Well, husband just informed me the water temp in the pool is 82 degrees. Looks like Im going swimming early.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Nicki -
Good Morning
Hugs to all from A to Z -
Good morning!
Just have a minute before carting the kids around, but I wanted to send hugs to Vickie. If I can unload all of my stuff in the circle, you can too! I admire your restraint with your old friend. I have such a hot temper that I probably would have sucker punched her when she started to cop a feel! A think an all expenses paid trip to the Deliverance Tent is in order!!
Hugs to all! Have a great day.
Sue -
Vickie--
News flash---that woman is NOT your friend! What an insensitive and crude thing to do. How much did she have to drink anyway? Gus is right----off to the deliverance tent for her!
Peter---Sleep study, how interesting. I think the last thing I would be able to do under those conditions is manage to sleep! How do you even prepare---stay up all night?
Jeannie -
Oh Jeannie and Gus Im laughing my head off. I agree. I think I would have decked her if someone did that to me. My anger would definitely taken over my common sense.
Nicki -
Good morning Amy to Z.....
Vickie, that is just plain insensitive.
Margaret, I too was growing mint for the mojito's and after it got full and healthy looking a worm-like something started eating it. That was it, I tried trimming the damaged leaves, etc but once it was on there it took over! I love mojito's!!
SCLisa, cute cute cute grandson. A goalie in the making.
Well Cheri, not to disappoint you but wasn't anything going on in my wagon! Just me and Bubba sitting around drinking beer and watching the world go by. LOL Went to a friends yesterday for bar- b- que. I marinated pork tenderloin for 24 hours, we slow cooked it for a couple of hours along with a whole elephant garlic, oh my yummy. I like my pig from the grocery store. Also this is the friend with the Kegorator. I love going to his house.
Angel, man ;you are one busy gal. Your kids are so cute.
Can't wait to see pics of Denise and Suz!
Jeannie, hello, nice to meet you too!
Hey Nicki, good for you going to the party. Hehehehe on hubby's hangover. Bet he was the life of the party.
LOL Jankay, very funny. ARe you in the pool today?
Z you sound so strong, mentally and emotionally.
Boo/Sue, I need to send you these camisoles back. I guess my uni-boob is bigger than your uni-boob! lol
And Sheri, love ya girlfiend.
Has anyone heard from Gina?
CY, glad to see you post. Hang in there sweetie and take some time for yourself!
Gotta run to the grill, #14 today. Oh and got bit by a mosquita (sp?) yesterday on the back of the mast arm which is still numb. Didn't feel a thing then it started itching and when I scratch I can't feel that either but it still itches!!! Geez............ Marsha -
Good morning A to Z....hope everyone is well...
work is still very busy so please don't think i have forgotten you all...I do keep posting on my exercise thread every monday..hehehe..a blast from the past this week ...check it out....
Vicki...thanks for posting the girls pic...I may have to have a tutoring lesson at pinkstock...lol...
Nicki...would never ignore you...hugs GF...still wish you were coming to pinkstock...but need a car show to drag DH off the hill...so keep looking....
ok lots to do and today is tattoo day...again...getting roses on the ugly scar...and no i can't scan this one...lol...
hugs and smooches to all...
MB -
Hey ladies,
Gonna try to catch up little by little today as I wait for my computer to quit giving me the stupid hour glass...I don't have time to wait.
I really wish I hadn't been so shocked when she copped a feel...I probably would have decked her...I was just simply astonished. Probably a good thing I was carry my camera instead of a water bottle. I am self conscience enough without that kind of crap. Stupid people...and no she wasn't drunk...that's the really sad part.
Marsha...the bbq sounds wonderful...I have read a little of the "pig" story so I am chuckling at how good yours sounded. I still have numb spots on the back of my arm...can't imagine an itchy numb spot! I have an itchy missing boob every know and then though LOL.
Cheri...I'm fine and dandy...just sad and tired. DD really got me this time. I guess all mom does just isn't as good as all her DH family does. She'll choose a cruise with a husband she's divorcing over the week she was supposed to spend with me. Am I being petty or jealous?
Jankay...thanks for the funny and glad you got your computer up and running again.
MB...you're welcome...the girls are beautiful!
Hugs for Nicki, Gus, Jeannie, Odalys, Peter, Sheri, Madison...everyone all around...I'll finish catching up later.
Love ya all
Vickie -
Good Morning Everyone
Cheri - hope propping up the leg helped ya get some relief!
Peter - hope the sleep study went well!
Vickie - your crap is just as important as everyone elses and we all need to let it out at times. Drunk or not, your old friend owes you an apology. I think I might have reached out and squeezed hers real hard back .. a little pain for her insensitivity.
Jankay - good funny!
Odalys - Understand in Florida waiting until fall to play! Today it's in the mid to upper 90's here. I'm thankful soccer camp is over at noon. They have a lot of water and will have popsicles as well to keep the kids hydrated.
Nicki - Audrey has All the energy in my family, although Ava has her fair share. Audrey never stops and I've always said if I could bottle that and sell it I'd be rich!
Coffee keeps me going .. drink it in the morning, the afternoon, and the evening! LOL
82 degrees, that's more like it! Enjoy your last day off in the pool!
Marsha - Thanks, my kids sure keep me going! I only hope when Ava is Audrey's age I'll still be able to keep up! An itch you can't scratch .. that's the worst! Good luck today.
Morning Madison, Gus, Jeannie, MB and everyone from Amy - Z!
Love and hugs,
Charlene -
Good Morning Ladies. So far this summer I have avoided the ant invasion. But silly hubby left a soda bottle on the counter last night and I am over run this morning. So today I will put on my armor, take up my bug spray sword and do battle. Wish me well. If I don't come back just assume they won and call the bugman to rescue me.
Here is a pic of my new chandelier in almost all it's glory. Have to put the dangly things back on it.
BEWARE! The Clampetts are coming to a neighborhood near you.
Awwwww socal he is sooo cute.
Liz, thanks for the info. I'll have to send Helen an email and ask.
Welcome home Colleen. Glad you had a good time.
Margaret, I just might do that.
Deb, hahahhahahahhah you crack me up. I love your stories.
Oops sorry Jeannie. Forgot to say I was born when Daddy was about 10. So that does make us PEERS. hahahhah He only had the surgery a couple of years ago I think and so far so good. He still needs to have it done on his other eye. Apparently you can't have a cataract removed till it is completely formed? Or something like that.
Cy, gentle hugs. And call a contractor.
Z, good to see you.
Cheryl, I love moving but I hate to move.
Odalys, Hope you get a new cord soon.
Margaret, How did boot camp go? Are you still breathing? Can you move?
Peter, my hubby had a sleep study done years ago to dx sleep apnea. First decent nights sleep I had had in years and years.
Charlene, I'm very happy they fixed it too. Ask your doc for a sleep study.
Cheri, gentle hugs. I'm sorry your leg was hurting last night.
Vicki, OMG!!! I'm with everybody else. That is no friend. Shame on her.
Don't work to hard Joyce
Good morning Jankay.
Nicki, we really are the Clampetts in disguise. Today I'll take a pic of the pot belly stove we have on our porch. I hope you enjoy your last day of vacation to the utmost. Swim a lap or two for me.
Good morning Madison and Sue.
Marsha, Kegorator? Is that a modern day version of a Still? If so the Clampetts need one.
MB, I dare you!!!!
Vicki, I don't think your being petty or jealous. Well maybe a little jealous. But gee whiz, is she really going on a cruise with her moron husband?
Off to Curves. Back in a bit -
Vicki, I loved your picture about being stressed. I was working on a meltdown this morning myself. Had to take Joe to the dentist for some fillings. Then I am trying to figure out how to take MIL and friend to Lexington for some sight seeing, get Joe to the movie theater by 4:00, fold and put away 4 loads of laundry, and feel like the bad DIL because I'm neglecting MIL. They just kind of "hang around" and putter, it makes me nervous. Then MIL mentioned that when her sister came to KY to visit a friend she took her all over the place. How's that for a guilt trip! So I went upstairs while dh was getting ready for work and unloaded. Thankfully he's got a couple of days off coming. Between my children and my houseguests I'm going batty.
Nickie, so glad you went to the party. Sometimes I like being by myself in a group of people. Sounds strange, but I think I understand.
Marsha, good to see you. Are you burned to a crisp yet?
Shirley, I love your lamp, you would fit right in here in KY.
Have a good one! -
Shirley I am laughin my ass off at you or should I say Elle Mae? A Kegorator is an old fridge with a keg in it. Don't even have to open the door, spout on the outside and everything. The freezer side he keeps cold mugs in. I WANT ONE! Actually the old fridge was ours before we redid the kitchen and replaced all the appliances. Most people keep theirs in the garage but he keeps his right in the kitchen by the real fridge. Very convienent. My nephew use to make me sing the Beverly Hillbillies song over and over and over. If you had heard my singing voice you would know how annoyed the rest of the family was. haha
Angel, didn't I see on the weather that you guys are having some kind of heat wave with 100% humidity? -
Hi everyone,
Shir - nice chandelier.
Vickie - I think you're more hurt than anything else. I'm sorry DD is doing this. Whyever is she going with the idiot? Hugs
Marsha - I've seen Kegorators. My DH was thinking of getting one for his garage.
I haven't read anything but know I'm thinking of you all.
Time for me to start finishing up spackling the bathroom and then start sanding. I hate that room. LOL It's sure going to be nice if it's ever finished though.
BBL
Hugs -
Well I'm just sitting back, enjoying a beautiful summer day here in Chicago.
Doing a little reflecting and thinking about how much I enjoyed this time off. I wasnt bored - not once. Now Im need to change gears and get ready to go back to work tomorrow. And Im actually looking forward to it. What better way - then to go back and only have to work 4 days.
Things are probably going to change a bit for. Need to get to work and hour earlier, so that will cut down on my morning computer time. They are looking for an Infection Control Nurse - and I think I can do that along with my current postion. Save them money and get a bit of a raise is what Im thinking. Maybe they will go for it or maybe not, but I sure would love doing it. I they do go for it, then I will be working very regular hours again so that will decrease my night time computer time. Watch, I will start getting up at 4:00 instead of 5:00am just to catch up with everyone.
Marsha: DH had a blast. He started playing with a band in the sun on the pool deck at 2:00pm. Stopped at 10:00pm. I knew he was tipsy when he was greating all of his friends - male and female with a kiss on the cheek. He has long hair and didnt tie it back, so he looked like Otto from the Simpsons. Funny - hahaha - as Im smiling and shaking my head just thinking about it.
PurpleMB: Car shows? So like the ones that they have at county fairs?
Vickie: Maybe the cruise is an attempt to patch things up with her husband. Wonder if she would ocnsider coming for a visit Christmas time. Its been a hard week for you and the emotions are getting the best of you.
Charlene: Reached out and squeezed her back?
Sherloc: The chandelier looks great.
Sheri: You need a day away from everyone lol. At least you in countdown. How many days left?
Liz: Im waving at you. -
The form I submitted may no longer be valid (GGRRRR!) but I used my Notepad and copied (not cut!) and pasted so here I go again. Thank you Nicki!!!!!!
Holy humidity everyone! It's hot and sticky here today!
Odalys - Yikes, I'm guilty of the O-Dallas as well! The correct way is much prettier sounding!
Vickie - Huh? People are so crazy! Reminds me of the lunatics that grab and poke your belly when you're pregnant!
Nicki - Hope you've had a nice time off. You go north from St. Louis into Illinois and then west along the river to get to Grafton. It was only about 40 minutes from St Louis. We had a great time. My sister, brother and I were all kind of dreading it, as we are the only family on the East Coast and don't know any of our relatives (they almost all live in Fairview Heights, Ill and all know each other well) but it was mostly OK. Got to meet some really nice folks, and it's kind of nice to feel like you have a big family for once!
Madison - hey there, hope all is well with you
Sue - Warren started Circus Arts camp today, it's about a 45 minute round trip for me to drop him off, not really that far from the house, just the next town over, but takes a while to get there for some reason. Hope you are all have a good summer so far.
Jeannie - yeah, I hope she woke up the next morning and remembered that she grabbed someone's boobs and at least cringed!
Marsha - I got a mosquito (sp?) bite on my surgery arm too and freaked out. I'm 2 years out from surgery and still numb, but way less numb in most places. Kind of like when the novocaine has almost completely worn off! LOL
MB - hope all is going well as you gear up for Pinkstock. I'm bummed that I'm not going, but having just taken 2 weeks vacation there is no way I can swing it! Good luck with the tattoo today. I was thinking about a tattoo a lot this past week, and was thinking I'd like some variation on the "Fight like a girl" thing with the pink boxing gloves. Still not sure what, or where, or if I'll work up the nerve...
Vickie - I get sad at weddings too, or at the family reunion seeing all the "intact" families or seeing the dads with their kids. Oh well, I know Warren and I have a great life and a great relationship. I can relate though.... (When we were waiting for our flight to the Bahamas there was a woman and her son, about Warren's age, and her fiance. They were all going to Atlantis to get married. I almost started crying right there in the airport as that was what Tim and I had planned to do. You can be happy for someone else and sad for yourself at the same time I've discovered.)
Charlene - what's up? Hope all is well with you!
Shirley - that chandelier is beautiful! Sorry about the ants, I have the recycling outside for that very reason, and always rinse everything, especially sweet drinks, really well! Silly boy!
A happy day to everyone else, A - Z! -
Shirley---That chandelier is COOL and very much in style at the moment. So is putting it on your porch. As for the cataract having to be "ripe"---that is an old fallacy. It really doesn't make any difference when they remove it since they replace the whole lens, not just vacuum it off the old one. It's more a question of whether or not it's interfering with your quality of life. After nearly wiping out on the New York Thruway in the rain and construction I think it's interferring with my quality of life!
Aw Vickie---know you are hurt by DD's decision. She is still divorcing him? I thought they were trying to make a go of it. That's what I get for not keeping up with the boards. I'd be hurt too---only it would probably come out as really PO'd! -
Good morning all. Feeling better today leg isn't hurting like it was. Slept well but woke up in a funk. Life is just one big emotional roller coaster.
Nicki, go swimming and enjoy your last day of vacation. You should have qutie a tan by now.
Marsha, sounds like you had a nice time at the bbq yesterday.
Vickie, maybe you're dd is trying to make her marriage work and that's why she's going with dh and family. She loves you and you know that. I'm sure she didn't mean to hurt you.
Charlene/Liz, good morning to you both.
Shirley, nice chandelier.
Sheri, hope your week passes quickly.
Iris, where are you?
Mena, hope all is alright.
Gina, feel better.
I have both boys today from now until 7:30 tonight. Kevin didn't want to go to daycare. He'd rather stay home and torment his crippled grandma. lol He's 2 1/2 now. Sure hope he outgrows his ill temper. JI've talked about how mean he is but the day Susan was here he was so good. Just played with his toys and wasn't a bit of trouble.
Wishing you all a good day from Amy to Z. I'll be back.

Stopping in to say Hi....busy day

Saying Hi to all.. Going to try to post a couple of pics of Suz and me. Don't know if They will post together or if I have to do two...............
First one Should be the two of us sitting at the cafe and the second one .... well, a picture says a thousand words! -
Okay, so they are backwards!! First one is our version of "chair dancing!" On a main road in front of a cafe....no pride here!
The second one is us just sitting and chatting!
Hugs,
Denise -

Colleen so good to see you ...sorry we will miss you but i know how hard it is to arrange time off...Make sure some one has your phone number so we can call...hopefully before we've had too many blue drinks....
Missing so many....
hugs...
MB -
Marsha - I don't believe the humidity hit that high but it's mighty hot! When I picked Audrey up from soccer at noon her face was flushed the color of a cherry! My SO wanted a kegorator for the balcony off our bedroom. I'm a little leery .. he'd never want to leave the room! lol
Shirley - The chandelier is very cool! It would go perfect in the old farmhouse I live in!
Liz - boy I feel for you. I could never do that work, I'd be aching from head to toe and wouldn't be able to function! You'll be very proud some day when you're all done!
Nicki - you never know if you don't ask right? Good luck, hope they go for your idea at work!
Colleen - I'm doing fine, kids are keeping me running. Ask me again after my surgery on July 20th! lol Do you have a DS named Warren or a DH named Warren or both? Sorry, I'm confused! lol
Denise - You and Suz look beautiful! Very nice pictures! Which one are you?
hello to Cheri, Jeannie, Madison and MB! -
Hello all!
Another very busy weekend here on my side of the circle. We had two couples, with their little kids, over for swimming and a cookout on Saturday. I made shish kabob with lamb and chicken. It turned out so good! The only thing missing was Cheri's fresh corn! Yummmmm!! Sunday, DH and I went for a long bike ride and then lay in the pool for a while. Very relaxing. Although it is STINKIN' HOT here now. I've been trapped in the house all day. I may venture out into the pool in a little bit.
We have a "Harley Fest" every year, but this summer it was cancelled due to lack of interest. That kind of bummed me out since we usually have a goood time. We play silly biker games, eat clams, corn, and chicken, and just get plain goofy. Oh well, we're going on an all-day ride out to Lancaster instead. I think it will be a pretty big group, so it will be fun.
Cheri, when I was small, my aunt made minced meat pir and I thought it was raisins and who knows what. I didn't like that either . I'm drooling just thinking about your fresh corn and tomatoes. I can't have a garden, because it is too rocky to cultivate and besides, the deer and groundhogs eat everything in sight.
Liz, I'd be happy just to have my bathroom painted!
Z, putting Joseph in the inner circle. I HATE when young people get cancer.
Peter, I have to have a sleep study done also.
Vickie, I'm speechless! You should have grabbed her boobs right back and asked her if they were fake.
Joyce, yes indeed, it's hot.
Nicki, I love pig roasts. Never been to one where they roasted it with the head on. At least I didn't see it. I look at pics of myself now and wonder where the spare tire came from . Hope you are enjoying your last day of vacation.
Marsha, how do you make Mojitos? I made one last weekend and I didn't like the mint leaves floating in it.
Shirley, do you have a sofa on the porch to go with the chandelier?
Charlene, two of our friends have kegorators. They are great. I wish I had an old fridge to make one out of!
Gotta go now! BBL Love to everyone from Amy to Z!
