My dear DEb...well we are all allowed to be weepy...first of all we are women...its our job...second...after the weepies...we then know all the good things that we have too..which will put a smile on your face...or just think of me scanning my tattoo, in my office, on a main street...with the gas guys working put front...
ok I know its not a funny joke like jankay tells but come on its funny
hugs MB -
Lunchtime so doing a flyby.
Vickie, Southwest has $99 fares from Long Island to San Jose, or even Los Angeles. Take Nate to Disneyland.
Nicki, my thighs hurt so bad from Day 2 of boot camp. I won't complain about the arm weights again. Today it was push ups, sprinting, jump roping. Now I get a break until Friday am and then week 1 will be done. Counting the weeks like I counted chemo treatments. I'll keep you company while everyone is in Pinkstock.
Anyone hear from Puppy?
Charlene, NOW I know what you are talking about. I didn't get this way not knowing about my ice cream.
Liz, have fun spackling.
Shirley, hugs to you. It is so hard to watch your kids go down the path of destruction and then when hubby is condoning it, not a good thing.
Cheryl, good to see you posting; drop in more often.
Deb, McCovey Cove is pretty awesome. We have a friend who has a yacht (yup, a yacht) and at least once a year they take it out and we go to McCovey Cove - we watch the game from the yacht and sit out in McCovey Cove. We've also taken a boat and gone there to see Bruce Springsteen (well, they used a different stage so we couldn't see him but we heard him) and another girlfriend had gone there to see the Rolling Stones - she did get to see them from the boat. Nothing better on a warm summer night.
Pam, thanks for the update on Puppy and great news.
Cheri, Madison, and Vickie - I am so proud of you guys and the not smoking. That is awesome.
Deb, I have to go back to work but I'll see if I can find something to make you laugh.
Back later.
Margaret -
Madison, I never knew you smoked. How long you been quit? Don't throw it away. I just heard from a friend of mine that had been quit for almost 6 months and he caved. What a shame. I don't intend to do that and don't you either.
Deb, you sound like me when I'm down. I try & fight it off, too. I hate that feeling especially when there's no reason to feel that way. I rarely get weepy, i just get grouchy and in a bad mood. But I fight it.
Where are all our MIA's? Must just be busy. We got Sheri & Denise back from vacation, now when is Amy due back? And Colleen/Warren are back, too.
Mena, wish you'd post. You know that I tagged you so you're IT! Come on hit me with your best shot, come on now, you know you want to play. Some bantering back & forth will make you feel better....

Good afternoon all,
I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk! Wow what a wonderful vacation and to get away for a while. Nothing like the woods of Maine in my opinion but then everybody has different opinions. Anyway,,had a great time and now back to work. Got home last night at about 10:30 pm then up this morning for work. Quiet the shock I must say.
Dad is back in the hospital so that was bad to be away and feel helpless. Same ol stuff. He got stronger in about 1 week and then the next week took a nose dive. He is SICU and working to get him stronger once again. Mom is totally exhausted of course but refuses it to all of us girls. Dad seems worse this time than the last when I saw him today which was the first time since June 28th when I left. It was too late last night since SICU has scheduled visitation. He is down and depressed and outright irritable but cant really blame him.
SO just called and the dogs were having a fit outside and she walks out to find a huge copperhead. She got the dogs away and went in for the shotgun. Needless to say that snake is blown in two pieces now. Couldnt help but thank of AlaskaDeb when SO was telling me the story. I could picture her with her nightgown and gun from the story she had previously told us.
There is no way I could read back over 1000 post so fill me in on the juicy stuff.
Lets see, I noticed Shirley has bat poop, Cheri is having pinkstock 08, nicki has enjoyed her vacation, Margaret has sighned up for a class to whip her into shape one way or another, Madison is busy as usual and still not smoking, SOCalLisa is excited about the big game along with CherylinC, Jankay had a big workout with her therapist and was excited, Peter is loving all his sisters, BikerJan survived her big party and is on her countdown to Maine, Z was taking a few days off, Mena had some not so good news but has her boxing gloves back on, Puppy has no tumors which is excellent, Mizsissy has been dropping in to give great updates, Liz is building an ark but not finishing her bathroom before pinkstock, Betty is back from IL, Denise is busing washing and snapping beans (Oh what fun)Marsha, a kegorator,,do tell, Colleen and Warren are back from their family time and had a great time which is always good, Sherndon is back and hoping she enjoyed her vacation.
Ok thats about all this brain can handle at this moment and my desk is a mess.
Hope all is well with everyone. I have some pictures from my nephew in Iraq so will have to get around to posting those. Nothing like getting first hand pics. Its about 110 to 140 degrees there and the first day he burned the bottoms of his feet but hes good to go now. He is in Balad if anybody knows where that is. I googled and read but thats about all I know. He says so far the food is good so we shall see.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Amy
Amy -
AMY, you've come home! Welcome back.
-
Yippeee!!! Me, too!!! Welcome home Amy . Hope you had a good time.
Puppy, how are you doing? When you feel up to it, please post to let us know how you are doing.
Trapped at work again . I'm off the rest of the week and don't you know, I'm getting a little sore throat. Happens every time. Hopefully it's nothing.
Hi everyone! Cheri, Nicki, Vickie, Charlene, Liz, Colleen, Z, Betty, Sheri, Shirley, Robin, Madison, Joyce, Jeannie, SoCal, Susan, Deb, CY, Gus/Sue, Jaz, and I can't remember all.
A big CG welcome to Cherylnc! Just jump in whenever! -
Welcome back Amy, we have missed your funny posts! Can't wait to see the pics. How did the animals do with you being gone? Marsha
-
Hi all!
I'm gonna browse for a bit and see what everyone is up to....Niece is coming over for some strange reason...Cutting into my computer time! Probably good though cuz for some reason DH is on my last nerve tonight!!!!
Glad to see Amy is Back! And double glad to hear Puppy's update!
Hope to get back later, after niece leaves and Annoying Man Person goes to bed!
Hugs,
Denise -
Good Afternoon friends. It has been trying very hard all day to rain. Still not a drop but saw a news flash a bit ago that said we are under "severe weather watch". Have no idea what that means. Grey skies to go with my grey mood. I am at a complete loss here. Sister is heartbroken and there is nothing I can do but listen to her cry on the phone. I wanna fly there and ring my nephews skinny little neck and smack my BIL upside the head and say WTH are you thinking!!
CherylinC it is very nice to meet you. I am so sorry about the loss of your husband.
Pam thanks for the update on Puppy. Yehaw for no cancer, but holy smokes. I say not fair!
Cheri, you've come to far to go back now. You'll run out of gas. Thank you for being sad with me.
Marsha, thanks for the link.
Gina excellent article.
Margaret I hurt just reading about bootcamp. I agree Boys are Stupid.
Welcome home Amy!!!
Jan, Aireborn, lots and lots of Aireborn.
Denise, I'm in a smacking kind of mood. Want me to come take care of annoying manperson for you? -
glad your home amy. lets see if u all like this as much as deb c. did
Riddle -- To Test Your Agility . . . .
You are on a horse, galloping at a constant speed.
On your right side is a sharp drop off, and on your left side is
an elephant traveling at the same speed as you.
Directly in front of you is a galloping kangaroo, and your horse is unable to overtake it.
Behind you is a lion running at the same speed as you and the Kangaroo.
What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation?
If you do not know, see the answer below.

Get Your Drunk Ass Off The Damn Merry-Go-Round -
good evening sweet sisters and wake up Peter...coffee is ready. Hope you slept well without all the wires and such.
doing my nightly walk...it's really hot and I think Nicki has a pool behind her wagon that I'm going to take a dip in after my rounds.
gotta stop and see Shirley...she's in a smaking kinda mood and I have a few people she can add to her list of smakees! Sending you a hug and one for your sweet sister...let her know that we'll put her in the center and give her all the hugs she needs. Men are so stupid...sorry Peter...we'll exclude you for the time being since you haven't screwed up yet LOL...just teasing you!!!
Jan...Shirley is right...airborne all the way...take it every four hours I think...works wonders for me and Nate.
Hey Denise...I know of a few annoying manpersons too...shall we send them all to the deliverance tent along with my sister and the "friend" that copped a feel. Imagine the crowd that would be.
I have decided as of today I have just one sister. Yup...to hell with the rest of them.
One who is just a pathological liar...don't need her crap any more.
One who just had a baby she complaining about but won't give up...erasing her.
One who I supported three seperate times along with her son who I haven't heard from in over 3 years...poof...gone...
A brother who is abusive to his kids and generally a bum...history.
And one special sister that is always there for me...her name is Joan and she is my favorite and I don't care who knows it. She was with me through every chemo, surgery, the works...she rescued me from 20 years with an ass...she just plain loves me. She's all I need! There...I feel better now.
onward....
Deb...gonna sit a spell and have some bugs and fishes. I am weepy lately too...seems that many of us are for some strange reason. It seems like a cycle almost...we tend to be weepy together. Maybe my imagination...maybe I'm just weepy all the friggin time and there is always someone else weepy too LOL. Hugs to ya. Sweet dreams and prayers for a brighter day tomorrow....what did you get at the craft store? I love craft stores! Oh and thank you for the kind words about the afghan project.
Cheri berry...thanks for the understand about the afghans...I still need to get off my butt and get busier though. I can't help it...I love doing it I have just overwhelmed myself with too many things lately! Just say NO...aauugghh.
Margaret...I am checking into the LaGuardia flights. Not sure how I would get from here to there but I'm sure I can find a way. Disney sounds wonderful right about now. So does Cocoa Beach. Sweet dreams.
OMG...Amy is home...how did I miss that! Welcome home sister...we have sure missed you around here. We took good care of Mazer and all the other critters while you were gone. If they look a bit overweight it's Cheri's fault! Sleep tight.
Gus..you're coming to Pinkstock!!! Oh goody...we are going to have so much fun (if I can figure out how in the world to get to Niagra Falls!).
Marsha...I checked out the link...great article...thank you and hugs. How is your skin holding up. If you start to get uncomfortable let them know right away...don't suffer! Gentle hugs and happy dreams.
Angel...where are you? Tucking in the babies for you tonight. Sleep well sweet girl.
Robin...here we go again...MIA...this is NOT allowed. I don't understand what she doesn't get about NOT allowed!!! Gonna have to have a serious talk with her.
Susan...miss you...sending a hug...pop in and let us see your smiling face ok.
Gina...how are things going...come on circle girl founder...we need you every now and then to pop in and give us a boost or at least let us know you are ok so we can give you a boost if needed. Love and hugs to you.
Jasmine...have we found anyone going on vacation this weekend so we can borrow their house?
Madison...wow...didn't know you used to smoke too. I still haven't had one and I'm hanging tough. Not to say that I don't want one but I'm not touching them!
I'm really bushed and really need to finish up an afghan tonight to mail tomorrow. I love ya all...heading off to my 90 degree bedroom...better off sleeping outside but there are too many coyotes and they make me nervous!
for sweet dreams to all and have a grand day Peter.
vickie -
pppfffttt...good one Jankay...sweet dreams to you!
-
Evening everyone Morning Peter,
Sher Im so sorry about your sister and her family. Its so hard to not be able to do anything but listen. You are doing something by listening though. Hopefully, they can work something out.
Pam thank you so much for the news on Puppy. Im glad its not cancer and shes continuously in my prayers.
Puppy please post when you feel up to it.
Gina where are you my friend? How are you? You are sure missed here.
Socal have a great time watching your game.
Margaret you got through 2 days now. Youre going to be one buff babe after youre done.
Charlene I could use some of that ice cream right now.
DebC what a wonderful prayer to share with us. Thank you so very much. Hoping that your day is getting brighter. We all have our weepy days.
MB cant wait until Pinkstock.
CherylnC - so nice to meet you. Im so sorry about the loss of your husband. You have been through a lot. Welcome to the most wonderful place on earth.
Tgirl ideas for Pinkstock? Inquiring minds want to know.
Mizsissy thank you for your updates on our girls. I think I sent you some tips when you were first diagnosed. Of course, I cant remember what I did yesterday lately.
Cheri quitting smoking is hard. There are days when I want a cigarette so bad but so far I have avoided it. It is hard when someone lives with you and smokes. Hang in there hon. Of course Ill do whatever I can to help you with Pinkstock 08.
LisaE how are you hon?
Mena how are you?
Marsha thanks for posting the link. I read that earlier. Its a great article. I cant wait for her book to come out.
Amy welcome home. Sure hope your dad improves. Its so hard when our parents are ill.
Jan honestly, I think my BIL had a bit more fun than what he wanted to admit to. LOL
Jankay big hugs hon.
Vickie good for you for purging the bad and keeping the good. I think youre onto something with all of us being weepy around the same time. Hmmmm maybe we could publish a study. Did you get my PM? You take it easy, get some rest and all will work out. You are way too busy. Take care of you!
Gus great to hear youre coming to Pinkstock.
Robin where the heck are you? Do we need to send a posse out?
Susan sure do miss you. How are things?
Nicki how was your first day back? I hate that work cuts into your computer time. LOL
Okay, I swore when I was bald that I would never complain about my hair. Ooops guess I was wrong. My hair came in very curly. As its grown, some of the curl has loosened up and some has disappeared. Its so thick and busy now that I look like a curly version of Gene Wilder. Sooooo Im having it cut tomorrow night. Not sure how etc. I just know I cant meet you guys with this mess.
Such a small problem compared to some. I know Im blessed to have hair and I do appreciate it. Just need a change maybe.
Bathroom is still not done. Im so flippin tired tonight that I dont care if it ever is. I know Ill be working on it tomorrow.
Prayers for you all. Hugs and Love as well.
Liz -
Liz...I keep getting messages that say I have pm's but when I check there is nothing there...don't know why...I cleaned them out so there aren't many in there now. Sweet dreams to you and your hair will be beautiful!...Vickie

Hello to Everyone,
Welcome to the new Cheryl.
Welcome home for those who have been on vacation.
Vickie, take a deep breath, all will be well.
Madison, ditto above.
Iris, wherever you're hiding, got your card today. Thanks so much. It's nice getting mail that doesn't demand payment for something!! lol
Deb C hope you're climbing out of your funk.
Peter, have a good day, mate.
Best wishes to each and everyone of us here, Amy to Z!!!
Cherryl -
I am saying good night....leaving tomorrow for Oklahoma to see dd and to see Liz (how cool is that!!!!!)....
My daughter does not have any internet connection yet (I think she is waiting for mom to $et it up)...anyway, I'll be back Sunday night.....
Please take care and sending hugs to all from Amy (welcome back) to Z
Madison -
still up...geez...so stinkin hot it isnt' funny and hot flashes galore on top of it. I swear I'm melting. My pool is in the middle of my very large back yard. Sitting here wondering if I am brave enough to go out there in the dark and take a dip...it's really really dark!! Maybe safer to just jump in the shower but the pool sure sounds like fun.
I'll let ya all know what I decide LOL. -
ahhhh...I braved the dark, found the pool, swam a couple of laps and layed on my back looking at the fireflies till I heard rustling in the woods and hightailed it back inside. It was wonderful!!! Went in in my nightgown...really cool feeling. I feel more relaxed than I have for days. Maybe I can sleep now...thanks for the tuck in Peter. Hope your day is grand.
Madison...you're leaving town!! Oh my...I'll keep your wagon safe while you're gone...love ya.
off to try to sleep again -
hey Cherryl...sweet dreams to you...taking deep breaths. Isn't Iris just a sweetheart! Gotta love that girl.
Hugs and love
Vickie -
Shirley - so sorry to hear about your sister's situation. My SO's son went through a period of rather violent temper. He forbade him from coming to the house for a few months. Did not want him around the younger girls. I don't understand your BIL either.
SoCal - wow, you're on the ball! What a great meal for the game! Audrey is watching it now. I Love how she is so into that at 8 years old. She also watched the Federer/Nadal Wimbledon match! I snuck away for a bit to come here.
CherylnC - Welcome. I'm sorry you have to be here and deeply saddened to hear of your last year and the loss of your husband. I hope you'll stick around, the women in this group are among the best you'll ever know!
Pam and MizSissy - thank you for the news about Puppy. Thinking of her always. So happy to hear of no tumor!
Cheri - hang in there with the not smoking. I'm glad to hear your DH is trying. That will definitely help! 90 days is awesome! Someday maybe I'll stop thinking about it and actually quit.
Amy - welcome back! Sorry to hear of your dad. Thinking of your nephew in Iraq.
Jan - enjoy your week off work! Hoping the sore throat goes away!
Vickie - I'm here, just have been tired and a bit under the weather today. Good for you re your siblings. You can't pick your family but you don't need to associate with the ones causing grief. Sounds like you let a load off. I'm happy you have Joan.
Liz - good luck with your haircut tomorrow. The bathroom can wait, it's not going anywhere!
Madison - Very cool that you get to see Liz. Have fun!
Hey to Cheryll and Jankay and all the wonderful Circle Girls and Peter. Hope you all have a wonderful night (and day Peter!). -
Amy, welcome back. Glad you had a great vacation. Sorry dad is having a tough time.
Jan, I agree with Shirley and Vickie - Airborne. Trader Joe's has their version of Airborne that is supposed to be just as effective.
Liz, isn't it funny how quickly after chemo we start complaining abut a bad hair day?
Peter, the kitty definitely looks better than me doing the pushups. I get a break til Friday - yippee.
Quiet night, everyone must be outside with Vickie in her pool. I'm going to watch the baseball game and then take a walk around the perimeter and tuck everyone in.
Margaret -
Good Night dear friends. Have a good day peter. Vicki it was good to see you in chat.
-
Good evening all. Rather quiet on here tonight. I like rush hour on this thread it's so much fun. It's like actually sitting around and visiting with one another.
Amy, I was so happy about you being home that I forgot to mention that I am sorry your daddy is ill again. Hope everything goes well.
Jankay, funny joke. I'd heard it before but I'd forgotten the punch line. lol I've had nights like that back in the day. I sent you a real pretty email about the sick little girl as I did others that I had email addresses on. Certainly makes a person think.
Janny, you are such a sweetheart. Thank you for the killer ecard it was just perfect.
Vickie, I come from a family of 8 kida, me being the youngest. 6 girls and 2 boys. We were always such a tight-knit family until about a year ago and some things happened that cannot ever be undone. We always had the best family gatherings because everyone was funny and we laughed the whole time. For years we had our family Christmas in Sept. when my oldest sister from Texarkana came to visit. That's even cancelled this year and it breaks my Mothers heart. I had to do what you're doing. I just really felt I had no choice. We are now a family divided but I have 2 wonderful sisters left and my Mama. And one sister that I just never see but have no problem with. Sometimes you just have to do things that's best for you and your own family. But you know, I have to admit, I do miss the others from time to time but things just aren't right and can't be fixed because of one sister. You just have to do what's best for you & Nate. That was low of your sister to stop babysitting for him. Cherish the sister you do have and feel close to. I've learned that it's quality not quanitity. Even in familys.
Liz, thanks I'll be counting on you for help. I don't really know what you can do but that's a whole year away. Susan hasn't committed yet. lol But she lives 30 min. closer to Branson than I do. It really is alot of fun down there.
Peter, you usually write a long post covering everybody. Maybe you're just not awake yet.
Iris, need to hear from you. Miss our chats. Who else can we IM in the middle of the night? lol
Jazz, haven't seen much of you today. Missed you.
Charlene, didn't see much of you today either. That'll never do. I enjoy your posts you clever girl.
Marsha, did you tuck yourself away early tonight? OOPS, just looked at the clock and the time just gets away from me.
Mena, I know you are busy and you dont feel well. That's why I don't really mind if you don't post. I'm not going to try and talk you into it anymore. You'll know if you feel like it and are up to it. Just know that I'm thinking of you and wishing you well. I'll try and call this week-end.
Gina, is your chemo still knocking you in the dirt? You shouldn't have too much more to go. Hope your well. I miss your posting as do the others. Take care.
LisaE, hope this finds you alright. I guess when you feel like posting you will. Until then, know that my thoughts are with you.
Hey to Neesie, Sheri, Gus, and Boo. Hey Nicki. Hey Z.
Wishing all of you from Amy to Z a peaceful nights rest. I may be back don't feel like I can sleep yet. You know how I get about ramblings in the middle of the night. lol
I wanted to say something to someone but can't remember what or who it was. Hmm.

SUNSHINE GIRLS and PETER
TIME TO GET UP/go to sleep
i beat u all -
Woke up late, but Im here! First day back to work was great. It took me all day just to catch up on the paper work. We finially had some rain and a cold front has come - thank goodness. Needed some relief from all that heat and humidty. So it will be pleasantly in the 70's today.
Cheri: Yeah Yeah Yeah - quiet day here? Im drowning trying to catch up lol. See what I mean - I hate this part about being back at work. No computer time.
Jasmine and Charlene: Can you actually believe my friend called me again yesterday? 2 days in a row. I know she is feeling some remorse - but once again I pretended like nothing happened.
CherylnC:
Sherloc: Sad story about your sister. 25 year marriage! Wow.
SoCal: Your so funny. I asked my husband if he knew where the All Star games were being played. He didnt know and I said, well Im guessing San Francisco - so thanks for making me look smart.
Tgirl: It was good seeing you post. Just like me, with work - as it takes away from my computer time. I have a computer at work - but Im never in my office.
Cheri: Dang - I know I will never be able to quit smoking. Cant believe your still having urges. Now heres the difference between you and me. You can talk about it, my sorry arse would light up. I am so weak when it comes to smoking!
DebC: I try to think about how things were before bc - and I used to get into a funk then too. But somehow its seems harder now. Oh and Im like Cheri - I get crabby.
MargaretB: Man - I can almost feel your pain. Im proud of you though - I dont think I could do a boot camp thing myself. But you have motivated me - I will be walking alot today.
Amy: So good to see you back. We sure did miss you. A Copperhead? OMG! You thought of DebC and I thought of Sherloc. I remember her story where she said you have to cut off the head and bury it! Sounds like you SO too care of the situation. I would have stood there not knowing what to do.
Jan: I have never tried airborne, but Zicam is pretty good too. They say its the zinc in it. Shortens the length and severity of a cold. But you have to start taking it as soon as the first symptoms come. Hoping it is just allergies so you are able to really enjoy your time off.
Sherloc: Your in a smacking kind of mood? Hahahahah I know exactly how that feels. This is for your BIL. Is he crazy or what.
Yes its the penguin pic again, but nothing says it better.
Vickie: Every family has some issues. Mine is with my son. Havent really communicated with him since my surgery 2 years ago. I agree with what Cheri said. Life goes on and you have to take care of yourself - and dont look back.
Liz: Ah yes - our hair! I think I may decide just to keep it styled short. The growing pains are too hard and I look like a crazy person.
Well! My time is up. Gotta go take a shower. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Jankay and Peter: Im waving hello to you.
For those I have missed, know that I still love ya.
Nicki
