I hope to have one finished tonight.

I have to tell you that my hubby asks how my ladies are every morning and every evening.....

Susan and Cheri together....hummmm I just wish I was there 'cause I bet they had some fun.

Vickie, my dear sweet sister, I am going to PM you with suggestions...

Wow, had to take a minute when I say that both of our "stitching sisters" were on at the same time! You both are finishing afghans in the next couple days!! WooHoo!! I love hearing that!

I'm with you, I think we should have crashed Cheri's and Susan's get together!!

    Hugs,

Denise is jealous! hahaha Me and Susan had drinks, gossiped, decided to go out partying, got picked up by two gorgeous hunky men....and the rest we'll never tell.
Knitting? Were we supposed to be knitting?
Yep, me and Suzola are close as two peas in a pod now. I have to work extra hard on my rectangles but it was worth every sordid minute of it. Don't you think Susan?

    Robin -

I'm doing crocheted squares, too. They're fine. It's relaxing, we get to do something nice for nice people (like you), and I'm helping my MIL by getting some old yarn out of her closet! Vickie got 15 garbage bags full of donated yarn if you need some. (See Vickie - I got it right that time <hee, hee>

Vickie, honey, I'm not a hooker, but what can I say, the men just seem to like me!!! Of course, Cheri had her share of men also. The one with the wavy blond hair. I can't believe they did that in public.

    sshhh don't tell.

Suzola, well at least you didn't tell what we did in public! You must come out again real soon, because we are so productive with our rectangle making. Let's see, I can't remember just how many we got finished, but I'm sure it was a bunch. TeeHee

UMMM...I'm a hooker...I carry my hooks and use them everywhere LOL! Guess we really can't call ourselves that can we...sounds pretty bad and you know that Cheri already has a "reputation"...shhh...don't tell.

Madison, I hope you got my squares. I'm really self-conscious about sending stuff to people, so let me know if they are the right size, or whatever. Not really fishing for compliments, just reassurance I'm doing it right. Vickie, I hope to have some for you soon.

    Vickie & Madison,
I just wanted to let you know I have about 30 squares made and will try to get them off in the mail to you....

Unfortunately I will have to stop crocheting for a little bit..I saw the medical onco today and he scheduled me for a biospy of a swollen lymph node on Monday.....Im really scared about this...he said it is unlikely it is recurrence since I had negative snb w/lumpecomy and the fact that the node was in the rad field for 26 treatments...Im praying with all my might that he is right....

Thanks Anne:As soon as my shoulder heals up I will get to work on some squares.I have plenty of leftover yarn myself.and always buy some when its onsale.A lady that sat beside me today at chemo ask me how much i would charge if she supplied the yarn for an afghan.I never been ask that before. So we came to a swapping agreement when I get a quilt finished she is going to quilt it for me in exchange for the afghan. That will give me something to look forward to.I am going to take some of my work and show her next week.I had several afghans made and then my house burned and I lost everything now I have made I think 4 more so getting my stash built back up.
I love my afghan that you'all sent there is not enough money to buy it from me in the world. It is very special.I can almost feel the love when I touch it and I want others to feel that way also.
    Take care gals.

Hey Jule, I bet everything turns out OK. Aren't those armpit incisions a pain though? And walking around with an ice pack under your arm is SO impractical.....
I keep trying to imagine 15 garbage bags of yarn. Vickie, where the heck did you find a place to store it all? We'll have to rent a warehouse pretty soon. -- Donna in VA

    Jule,
Good luck with the lymph swelling. I'm willing to bet it will be nothing serious. The Doc appt. will help assure you though.

    Cheri and Susan,
Yes, we all know about Cheri's reputation, and I guess she's trying to lead you down the same path! I have a little fairy that flies around..don't tell anyone, but your little secret isn't so secret!!
P.s. Shall we request that the squares get washed before use?? (just kidding!)

Jule - I'll be sending good thoughts and prayers to you on Monday
Susan and Cheri - Sounds like you had a blast. So how do squares look when combined with blue drinks and hunks?
Should have some squares to send in the near future. I'm glad everyone seemed to like the heart square. I'm working on the design for a butterfly square and a cat square. We'll see how it turns out.

    RobinTN,
I've done quiet a bit of commissioned knitting, and the general rule is 3x the cost of the yarn. If it's a difficult pattern or hard to work with yarn, I add a bit to that. Your time will never be adequately compensated, so make sure you'll enjoy knitting for pay before you start. Hope this helps.

    Oh Sue,

You are the one behind the Heart Square!! Beautiful, and it looks so nice right in the middle of the afghan! I might have to hire you to do an angel for me, that is when I get good enough to figure out how to put an afghan together!!!! I've just mastered the squares!

Denise and All, Sue made the 3 heart square!!!

Anne, are you still sending 7x9 crochet patterns? I crochet squares in my spare time and would like a few different patterns.

Cheri.....one of your squares is in this afghan...when are you gonna send some that you and Suzola made?

Jule, I hope everything turns out okay.

Robin, I am glad you are feeling our love when you have the afghan...remember YOU ARE NEVER ALONE!!!

    Hi all,

I like this idea. Are we giving them to someone?
This will be a good way to use up scraps of other projects.

    Please tell me the plans.

Linda, we give these afghans to bc sisters. Each "square" is really a 7X9 rectangle.

Anyone can PM Vickie or myself with suggestions of recipients. Remember that we also need real names and addresses for package delivery.

Also, Marisa Weiss is out of town right now but I'm sure she'll love it!

Madison, I actually get goose bumps whenever I see one of the finished afghans! Beautiful! Can't wait to see the one Vickies finishing up!!

Anne: Thanks for the offer! I'd love to learn how to put one together!

Vickie: I'm so happy that the mysterious afghan finally made it to Marisa. If only it could talk (like Madisons do!), I'm sure it could tell some stories about its Journey!
    Love and Hugs,
    Denise
