Natasha is a lovely name - thanks for sharing it. Mooo. We get the second Monday in October for our Thanksgiving. And no, we don't celebrate yours. But I'm very glad you had a nice day! Contentment is very underrated.

Today I am very grateful to share my 1 year cancerversary! To think it has been a year since I climbed up on that table and later woke up with a very strange looking breast reduction! Thank you, ptb, for all the lessons I have learned in that year.

Grateful for a nice Thanksgiving yesterday with some of DHs family. Also grateful we made it back and forth safely on not very good roads in not very good weather.

    Congratulations on your anniversary, Red!

    Congratulations Red.

Yesterday grateful for a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends who are more like family, lots of traditions, have been celebrating with these people for 18 years and in that time I've seen young kids grow to adulthood and become parents, yesterday two baby announcements were made, cousins who are both having babies next June, the circle goes on.

Today grateful my dog sitting duties are almost at an end, I've had my next door neighbors little Schnauzer for three weeks while she has been in Michigan and then I've had a friends Labrador for a week, I was warned about this Labrador, she's a counter surfer and she gets into everything, but she's very sweet both are picking up their dogs in three hours, not that I'm counting!

grateful for family and friends.   And most especially for being here for another holiday season, maybe not with the energy of days before cancer, but here and working hard to be present in the moments

Ruth isn't it fun to watch the kids grow up, I have a 'save the date' invitation for next June for a girl Hannah met in 1st grade. Onco, Wicked is a fantastic show and she has a beautiful voice.

Grateful for a great workout with one of my favorite trainers this morning.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends! Have been crazy busy as of late, will try to catch up

11/26: Grateful I got a bunch of errands before finding out that DH was leaving 3 hours early from work as it was really quiet with no new work coming in.

11/27: Grateful that Dad's on-again off-again plans went back to what we originally planned and he arrived early in the morning just as I was texting him asking to let me know when he was leaving and he was already in my driveway! Just Dad, DH and me for a regular day, except I splurged and made a prime rib for the three of us (while DD was with her BF's family - 2 Thanksgiving dinners, one with his mother's relatives, one with his father's).

11/28: So very grateful DD and her new BF joined us for a Thanksgiving dinner and that DD was in a very happy, cheerful mood! Her BF seems really sweet and likable, and he appears to really like my DD (even better that DH's only negative comment was he's a bit short; we were already warned he has a big appetite). Grateful I didn't make enough for an army, just a small amount of leftovers so we won't be having everything turkey for a while.

11/29: So very grateful my Dad could spend some time with us. This is the first time in 62 years he didn't share Thanksgiving with Mom, I know he was in terrible pain, but he enjoys being at our home because he's family and he feels so comfortable with us. Plus, he got in a lot of napping which made me happy.

11/29 Grateful for a nice afternoon spent Christmas shopping with my Granddaughter and DH for presents for my GD's mom. No crowds to fight as our version of Black Friday isn't the same as in the States.

11/30 Grateful for a nice evening of playing cards with my DH, DD#1, her BF and his son. Lots of laughter and why on earth was clubs trump so many times?

    Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

Grateful for the rain that is falling, we need it.

Red I love playing cards, reminds me of my childhood, I couldn't count the hours we spent around the kitchen table playing Gin Rummy

    Ruth, that sounds lovely.

11/30: grateful for the rain here too. Grateful I figured out a trick with our old printer/scanner: was only scanning a portion of the page but discovered if I scanned the document upside down, it worked (then rotated the page till right side up). Go figure. And a 3-hour phone call from a very sweet friend, time, to share, listen, laugh and cry.

Grateful that December is here as I love Christmas time. Also that all the snow we got last week melted during a warm spell this weekend. It went up to 45!

    Mommy, remember no tinsel!!!!

My dog eats the bulbs if the cat throws them down to her. We've seen happen so are very careful when putting up lights now.

Today I am grateful to have finally made the decision to retire in 3 more years. And I don't care where my finances are at that time, I'm still retiring. My DH agrees!!!!

You will be happy to retire; and my thought is that a person never has 'enough' money, so we might as well live for today!!!

I am grateful because tomorrow DH and I are taking off on a little trip to see my sister and family (and I am also grateful that they live in a warmer part of the country!!!!)

I never liked tinsel on a tree even when I didn't have pets, so I don't put it on. I made sure that when I put the ornaments on the breakable ones are up higher and that all ornaments are secured on their branches.

    Wonderful news, Honeybair!

12/1: Grateful I got some much-needed paperwork done despite the old printer being so finicky it required several pages to be scanned multiple times (like 1 page took over 20 attempts)

12/2: Grateful for the steady rain today as well as hot tea (and grateful the roof doesn't leak)
