    hbcheryl,

How cool.  I looked and looked this spring for a dress.  After many trips to many stores I finally bought one.  Day of the wedding - wore one I had in my closet!

Grateful for the morning and accomplishing some cleaning yesterday.  Decision made, rehiring my cleaning person.  Thought with a small living space , from house to condo, I would not mind and be able to keep up.  Well maybe I can, but I DON'T WANT TO!!!

    Enjoy the day

    Nel

HBcheryl- same happened to me recently. Came away with two pretty dresses and going to wear one to a wedding this month, and another to a wedding next year.

I hope maybe you get to keep at least 2 too! Always good to have a back up outfit!

    Good morning ladies!

Today I am grateful for a good night's sleep after 3 days of non-stop work on Rick's party. Kept waking up and running lists in my head but last night I slept.

Yay to finding pretty dresses! It's the end of the season, so I was thinking of a little retail therapy myself!

Red there are bargains galore out there, everything I bought was 50% or more off and yes I'm going to keep at least two of them.

Grateful, for some bargains I found at the grocery store this morning, marked down organic chicken that I came home and put straight in the freezer.

Grateful for everyone who comes here to share their blessings each day.  It's the small daily things that make our lives so worth living.

Here is something that I am grateful & happy I could pull cool off: My nephew, a political science major in college, had an internship with one of the senators from Minnesota (the state he is from). One of his duties was to man her booth at the Minnesota State Fair. Several times on Facebook he's posted his work schedule, and asked his buddies to come by to visit and 'Bring Fair Food'. One of my friends & her family were headed for the fair over the weekend, and I asked if she'd track him down, give him a fair treat & tell him it was from his aunt. This she did, to the delight of both him and me.

Today I am grateful for the extra hour of sleep my alarm clock gave me this morning. My boss, not so grateful. I think I need a new alarm clock.

    Welcome Alexgram.

Ruth, once again, that's cool. You are so good with people. I wish you had been my teacher too.

Ncollett nice to have a mini vacay now and then.

Today I'm grateful that I have a good appetite.  I went through a period of anexoria, and it's not all it's cracked up to be.

I subbed this afternoon and it was so much fun. Grateful that I am still able to get my 'kid fix' without all the paperwork, meetings, reports, crabby parents, testing etc. etc. etc.

9/2- grateful to have my stitches out today from the derm procedure 2 weeks ago. Nurse said everything looks good and is healing well. I go back in 2 months for a follow up to check on the incision.

Red- I don't think you need a new alarm clock. I think you need a new boss

ncollett today I am grateful you posted that picture, it brought back such happy memories of an absolutely lovely day that I spent with Ruth and Badger bobbing around on a 'pirate' ship on that lake.

Today I am grateful to have all of you lovely ladies to make me smile every morning when I come here to post.

Ruth and Cheryl, I know I haven't been on our fitness page much lately, but I wanted to let you know I joined that gym this weekend. And guess what? My DH decided to join too! Yay.

Great job...especially when you can get the DH on board! My DH is good about the exercise part, but TERRIBLE about the diet;  that is where the work is cut out for me.

Grateful for a nice walk with my friends on a picture perfect day!

8/31: grateful to catch up on a little TV

9/1: grateful I kept my mouth closed instead of starting an argument

9/2: grateful the electricity was only out for 5 hours (this routine maintenance is getting old, another one scheduled for next week), that it wasn't overly hot outside, ran into a mother of DD's friend at the market and had a buy one/get one deal so I didn't have to cook dinner

Red how wonderful, you'll be able to enjoy working out together.

Grateful for technology, at midnight I got a text from my dance instructor who had just landed in Sweden to let me know she hadn't been able to get a sub for her class and if possible could I let people know, how crazy that we can so easily communicate from all over the world, just amazing.
