Ohh nice........more grandkids in the making soon?

Beautiful photo Smaarty ! You look way to young to have a granddaughter getting married.
-
H-I-1 that was smarty's GD with her GreatrGm's not Smarrty-----erh I think. -
Well, chasing windmills has exhausted me, going to play. bbl
-
Beautiful pics! Love the wedding dress -
Sas, I didn't word that correctly, I was remembering Smaarty recent photo from Disneyland, with the bear hug.
My DH & I, both families do not reproduce fast enough to ever know Great grandmas. Barely the grandmas. Lazy, all of us...lol...
Smaarty, looking forward to the next wedding photo, ya couldn't talked them into a double wedding?
Windy here, I got zinnias to plant, but no motivation to be in the gust.
-
actually, the girls don't really know each other. Taylor is 22, Sara is 30 and my daughter's cousin. They never hung out together when kids, theyre 14 years apart. Taylor isn't the oldest, her brother is 25. He's the one with the leg problem. He did make it for the wedding, hurt like he&l but not sorry he went.
-
as far as greatGK coming from Tay, they're on a time table. Must have kids before 8 years is up, that's how long you can store sperm. He had testicluar cancer in 2012 and 13. So they have in stored. He doesn't want kids for a couple years so they'll wait until he's done with school.
See the raccoons on the cake? My DD made them from clay.
And I was good. Didn't even have wedding cake. They had 4-5 small cakes with a variety of flavors. Neat idea.
-
Looks like a lovely day, beautiful Mr. & Mrs.
I love cake, probably would of had to try several. I do not like cooked fruit ( I'm weird ) so pies are out, but cake, yum.

I just can't keep up. This thread moves so fast and there is so much life going on. Oh and preparing for my daughter's Graduation and her party.
My hand swelled today. It's getting better now. I do have a sleeve. I don't know if I should talk to my BS. I feel like such a nuisance.
I love all the pictures. I think of you all often and am sending hugs to those who need them.

I'm just getting caught up, I was at my DD1 for the weeknd and had a great time.
Smaarty what u do is so pretty, The sign looked wonderful, and u'r DD is another crative onw too==Jeez I can eat the cake lik crazy, but can do nothing else.
Oh Chevy u'r probably done with those chickens now and I hope u got u'r eggs for the week cuz we all know u squeeze the hells out of the chickens, don't act like u don't. Oh and sitting like that now --never my legs would crack in that position and then I would have to explain to the ER why the hell I was thinking I was a teen. In fact I just hurt looking at that.
I don't remember what I've been reading, but Thanks Sas for all the xplanation--I understood it--wow.
And BTW I have no idea how I underlined that post--it just happened--u guys know I know Nothing.
I'm so tired now so I'm going to say goodnite and I'll be around tomorrow.

Sharon, Those are happy reasons for not being able to keep up. Don't ever worry about bothering a doctor. You are employing them via your insurance or pocketbook. Besides, LE is not something to take lightly.
-
dutchy LE isn't one of my strengths, but you have a sleeve. is it preventative or b/c you have LE. Talk with your doc. Please, don't be offended at the question. You don't wear sleeve without the gauntlet? Anything unusual in last two days. Outdoor excursion>>bugbite? Any nicks? Change in foods? change in salt usuage? Kira and Binney4 are the Guru's on LE Find where they are posting. Kira is to LE as Deborah on sizing 101 for foobs. -
This crap is adding anxiety to the anxiety have already.
Wren...I know I employ them. I just know they are busy.
Sas....I thought about posting on the lymphedema thread bit I feel dumb or something. From what I've read, I think I know what I should do. I just get a lot of anxiety about calling the Dr with a problem.
-
Sas, (in your spare time. ha) could you please post the link for the LE/Kira thread? Thanks!
-
Dutchiris, I feel the same way, but don't be like me lol, reach out to the doc or whoever you have to to get relief, answers, comfort, solutions. Channel your inner infant. Infants don't care if you have a life, they want what they want and they want it now! You are a strong capable woman who is going through a tough time, and those are your credentials for asking for help. You are Dutchiris, not Dutchshrinkingviolet! Hugs!
-
holeinone, zinnias! Sigh.......love them. Where do you live? I don't think zinnias would last here in NJ, the deer eat anything worth planting!
-
Wirdgirl118, Where I live the rabbits eat all the flowers I plant :-(
-
Hopefully Annie Mae's eye surgery is still on for tomorrow...got my alarm set for 4am, ugh. She has to eat and have her insulin shot before 5am. Surgery sometime between 10-noon. Going to be a long day. Hope I can sleep tonight.
Goodnight all.
-
Pawprint, hoping you get some sleep too. Sending you prayers the surgery will be a success, Annie Mae will come thru just fine and have great relief and that you will find some comfort knowing that she will be free from pain.
Dutchie, listen here, you have medical professionals whose job it is to take care of you. That's their job, let them do it. Yes, you may need to make a couple calls now, that doesn't make you a problem patient and even if that was true, that's what they're getting paid to do. I've suffered from LE too, it's a very real pain and you need assistance. Do you go to PT? I found that very helpful with this dx. They'd give me exercises as well as massage to release cording and help with muscles. They even taught me a self-massage technique (the name escapes me at the moment, someone will know what it is) where I could release some of the built-up lymph fluid. Such a huge difference this time with PT then going it alone the first time.
Please call. Also ask if muscle relaxers or pain meds available. I found a heating pad on neck and shoulders released a bit of pain too (from nerve damage/regeneration).

Chevy - splinting the Trigger Finger for more than 24 hours did absolutely nothing. BAH!
Sassypants: I started Arimidex in August 2012. Started having SEs after six months, toughed it out for another six months then went bawling to my MO: life-threatening SEs: BP off the charts, high cholesterol, joint and muscle pain so bad I used a walker every day, daily painful trigger finger AND trigger thumb (hands in "claws" when I woke up), bladder pain and irritation to the point of incontinence, "lady parts" pain so bad it hurt just to sit, and crushing depression so bad I couldn't get out of bed.
The MO was upset I waited so long to go see her. I told her I didn't want to be a weenie. She said "You're not a weenie! It's the drug! We KNOW it's the drug!" And she immediately put me on a two-month drug holiday. I kept track of my SEs for 8 weeks. After no Arimidex for two months = NO SEs!!!!!
Unfortunately, she started me on Femara right after that, in October 2013. I did really well for six months, thanks, I think, to the acupuncture treatments I was getting. But now I'm going on 7 months on Femara, and the SEs are starting to get worse. I am determined to keep going with acupuncture, but next October, depending on how I feel, I may just ask for another two month drug holiday. My risk of recurrence is tiny, and at one time she said if the SEs were too bad, she'd be O.K. taking me off AIs completely. It may come to that, but for now, I'm hanging in there.
2TA - I desperately need to clean my living room. There are piles and piles of MILs clothes on the carpet and not much room to walk. I just haven't had the energy to start the picture-taking and logging-in process. The laundry was enough of a chore. I feel like taking a nap just thinking about it. Wait - it's bedtime - I CAN go take a nap! A long one! Of course, I slept til 1:30 this afternoon.... oh well....
