100 Days of Gratitude

April 22
Today I am grateful to be able to help my community on Earth Day. 6 of us are going to pick up the garbage left over from the melted snow in our local park.
Susie, again, thank you for the reminder that the world today isn't like it was when I was 19 or 20. Kids today do seem to have it tougher.
Maddy, sorry if I hurt your feelings. My angry thought wasn't directed at you and since I don't know all of the circumstances, shouldn't have been directed toward your DD either. Sorry. {{{{Maddy}}}}

Day 12..... I'm grateful for friends...old & new...up close & personal...and those in cyberspace.
-
I'm grateful that I don't work anymore and am able to be available to my MIL when she needs it. She had meds to pick up today so I drove her. They were teasing her Sunday when she was late for Easter Service at Church because she fell a sleep sitting on the toilet. I worry about her driving. She took care of my kids when they were little while I worked, now it's time to take care of her.
Maddy, I hope I didn't hurt your feelings about DD, I just meant that I feel your pain since I often experience the same with my sons and I have a good cry.
-
Grateful that my onc has a reasonable approach to addressing the SE's from the tykerb. It has been 6 months on and this is the first real bout of significant SE's

-
Grateful for a fun, busy day of subbing. I love being retired, but love to go back and get an occasional 'kid fix'!
-
Day 112: I am grateful that I managed to get enrolled in new medical insurance earlier today as COBRA is running out. There was some preliminary enrollment, but none of the info we used to set up the account could be used (like user name, password, ID, etc) so I had to call for assistance. On hold for almost an hour, took another half hour speaking with the customer service rep (who kept messing up the info I gave him). Grateful the land phone battery hung in because it usually dies well before an hour.
For the record: for those of you who commented on my posts, I don't take those comments as mean-spirited, more like your opinions. You're like my family of choice and it seems like you're looking out for my best interest in your own ways, so I'm not upset. No apologies necessary.

Grateful that I have indoor exercise options because the temperature is 40, the wind is blowing at 34 mph, and it is raining!!!

Today I am grateful that my chiropractor did some good stuff on my back. It feels almost okay again.
Thanks Maddy.
Happy you got your new brace Onco. Why do you need a brace?
Ruth, I'm happy I'm not having your weather today.
Have a great evening ladies.
-
Thanks Maddy
Ruth, I'm almost ashamed to say it since you're dealing with cold weather, but I'm grateful to have planted our tomatoes and peppers today. That adds to potatoes, onions, cucumbers and green beans that are already in the ground. I'm looking forward to another summer of canning.
-
Grateful today to laugh with my kids over dinner
-
I'm jealous, Susie!
-
Day 13....I'm grateful for Springtime! New beginnings...everything fresh & new, & beautiful!
-
grateful that some more work came my way today
-
April 24
I am grateful to my friends in another BCO thread who perked me up and made me feel better about my efforts to exercise.
Cheryl, glad about the new work.
Susie, also jealous of your gardening.
-
Day 113: Haven't been pleased with my exercise effort, I just am having a difficult to get into a routine and maintain it. So, I'm grateful that I've been getting on the stationary bike for 5 minutes increments, if I can, keep at it longer, but target at least 5 minutes, then repeat a couple times of day. Try to get out walking when I can (based on my knee and how hot it is). Also grateful the weather here allows me to walk.
Day 114: grateful for the birds outside who are singing sweetly this morning and the light breeze that is making the outdoor chimes make a lovely sound
-
Grateful that we got some rain & now the sun is shining!
-
4/24- grateful to have home network working again! Also grateful to be going to happy hour on the patio later today with some of my buddies.
-
I'm grateful for leftovers since I'm a bit lazy today.
-
-
grateful that I had some stew in the freezer so that I was able to have a quick delicious dinner
-
April 25 (day 125)
Today I am grateful for my chiropractor who has agreed to take on my DD, who has fibro, on a compassionate basis. He will be assessing her on Monday.
Cheryl and Susie, we had meat pies - also easy!
-
jazzy -jealous of happy hour!
Grateful for a feeling of spring today and to have SE's gone so I can meet my work commitments this weekend
-
Day 115: grateful for the heating pad last night, for talking myself into getting out of the house last night to meet with the ladies, and that I have plans to look forward to meet a few BCO ladies tomorrow for lunch.
-
Day 14....I'm grateful that my 16 year old Grandaughter, Kaylen is on her way to spend the weekend, and I'm grateful that she prefers the company of her old Maw!
-
today I'm grateful for antibiotics, inhalers, and a decadron shot. I can breathe much better this evening. I had been self medicating allergies for weeks and finally went to the Dr this morning. My appointment was with the nurse practitioner and she passed me up to the Dr who ordered blood work and X-rays..I miss the good old days when seasonal allergies were just seasonal allergies and not, well, with your history we need blood work and a chest X-ray, possibly a CT. Oddly enough, I'm not freaking out about it, so I guess that's something to be grateful for in itself.
-
Grateful for a fun day of subbing in 6th grade science!
