I Come to the Garden...

We can put our prodigal children in our prayers right here, Hindsfeet. I have not heard from Matt in 8 days. That is so rare for him, so I am letting him wade it out. If it is meant to be, it will happen.
I took DH with me to the appointment yesterday. Thank goodness the results were negative. I have now been cleared for diabetes AND MS. All that stress for nothing. I mentioned how I was told that they found something, but the dr was already irritated with the nurse, so I couldn't tell whether her reaction was to what I said, or the situation that was making her irritated.
-
Meece, thanks. I'll be praying for Matt. Pray for my son that God will bring him back into fellowship with Jesus. The world has such a pull on our children. Kids not walking with the Lord bothers me more than my cancer dx. It's good to know others will pray with you.
Pray for a situation I have at my job...cancer (gossip) in the camp. Pray for repentance, peace, and forgiveness.
I'm glad to hear that the results were negative. We need good news.
-
Meece, so there was nothing they found?? Did she mean they found "nothing"!! I bet she got an earful!! Have you been checked for Fibromyalgia? You haven't mentioned symtoms on this thread....
Hind, I agree about being more afraid of wandering children than cancer!! And NEITHER one we can control! But, I have faith that they will always be brought back Home.
-
DD gave birth to twin boys on September 25th, Jake (5.5lbs) and Charlie (5.15lbs) It is such a blessing and I wanted you to know that all the prayers were answered.
Hugs and Love to all my BCO friends xxx
Will post picture soon. I always have trouble with that darn it!
-
What great news, OG56, twin boys! Hope your DD is recovering well and the babies are settling in. Congratulations!
Meece, negative results are the absolute best! I can't believe they couldn't give you the good news by phone and save you all the worry--why are so many doctors' offices this way? It would be much easier on us, the patients who keep them employed.
I hope Matt will contact you soon. For now, I agree that it's best to bide your time. He knows.
Love and prayers to all,
Kathy

Congratulations, OG! Those are great weights for twins, I hope that meant a shorter hospital stay.
My first thought was fibromyalgia, Barbe. I contacted someone one these boards who suffers from it and described what is going on, and she said it didn't seem the same as hers. I asked both my onc and my gp about Fibro. and neither thought it was that. First thing they ruled out was diabetes. Two MRIs and a gallon of blood late, they've ruled out MS. I am now on Gabopentin to stop (reduce) my nerves from firing, and it has helped some, but it would be nice to know what is going on.
Kathy, I sent a text to Matt to call me, and he did. I guess I just couldn't bear to call him and he not answer. He is back strong with this woman, but I am soooo concerned. He knows I love him.
To all you wonderful ladies, I have miss having everyone around here. I hope you will stay close. -
Meece, if you don't mind, could you PM me your symptoms? I am very well-read in nerve disorders as I have a few of them!! Fibro is SO often missed, just like MS used to be. I don't know how you have been suffering, but that was a shot in the dark. -
just doing another "fly by" have to check on you lovely ladies once in awhile..
Meece, Matt never is missed in my prayers, he's in there , with my OWN sons. as YOU are; with me dealing with them is very difficult. I thought it would get better as they got older.. older, just different problems. and it IS harder, cause they're not "in our care" although they always are..
Remember, they are always in HIS care..
It does distress me that Matt is revisiting the old girlfriend.. I hope Matt catches on Quickly!!she wasn't good for him. Bipolar is SO difficult! My best friend screwed his life up, so bad, not taking his meds! We were so close, but missed the years, while he wasn't taking them. We see each other now and then, but its' not the same. The people who are closest, get hurt the most!!
Know I'm prayinf for you, also OG, and hindsfeet. Even if I'm not here, much cause of my health issues, you ladies are always in my nightly prayers.
It's good news NOT to have MS, meece, as I do, and it's no picnic!
I see you hand the same tx as me; I got dxed with "hand n feet"syndrome shortly after chemo. Even though i had MS, it's a type of neuropathy.. ask about that, too, meece..
Love and think of you all. After losing Marybe and Isabella, I just don't come here often.. but send me a private mssg. and I'll get it. it's still set.. 3jays -
Thank you so much, 3 Jays. You are a strong and faithful prayer warrior, and you are truly appreciated. -
I am trying to decide pretty quickly if to do a revision on my implanted breast before the first of the year. Really confused about it and would appreciate your prayers in deciding what to do.
Hope you sweet ladies are doing ok. -
You have them, hindsfeet. With the new medical coverage changes coming up, it does make you think about getting what you can done now rather than waiting. -
prayers going up -
just fly bye.. hope everyone's doing well. I'm adding my prayers also, hindsfeet. like Meece said; if you're going to do it, now may be the time..
Meece; how goes it with Matt? 3jays -
Yes, Hindsfeet, prayers for you and a good decision. And 3jays, it's good to see you! Always prayers for you. And still praying about Matt too, Meece. Have you heard from him again?
Kathy -
Here I find myself, again. I need to just ck in, and let you know I'm still praying for you.
I'm doing a daily chemo shot for my MS and makes me think of chemo for BC a bit..
Still know you're always in my prayers.
It's been a little over a year since marybe passed, I still miss her Soo much.
We all leave footprints on each others hearts, wether we're here, or gone... 3jays -
3jays is it Methotrexate that you are on? Does your health plan cover it? Is it working?? You are also in my prayers and yes, I miss Marybe desperately..... -
Well, it's been a week since Matt informed me that he realizes that the relationship with the woman is not going to change. He said he's done. I am so thankful. I know he is lonely, but I think this is better for him. -
Time seems like it is flying by. It hardly seems like a full year, Praying for mended hearts where Marybe has left a hole. -

Hi there everyone god has blessed me with our first grandchild Nolan. He is keeping us all very busy. -
Awwwww. Congratulations, Mum! God IS GOOD!! -
A pic with his eyes open!!!! He is beautiful Mum, such GREAT colour and look at that hair!!!!! (and ooooooh, those LIPS!!!!!!) -
I just had a memory I have to share. When my son's wife had George and I visited them while she was still in the hospital my son handed over the baby and then began giving me instructions on how to keep his neck supported and him well covered so as not to lose body heat. I was staring at the son who managed to survive my parent-hood, but I just nodded and listened like I didn't even know...hehehehhe -
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! -
LOL I also have to remind my daughter that I have taken care of a baby before. -
Well IF my daughter ever has children she'll be able to say that kind of stuff to me & it will half-way be instructional. She was 16 months old when she came to me so I missed all the real small baby stuff (although in my day I was a in-high-demand babysitter charging 50 cents an hour no matter how many children! Egad, parents in the late 60s early 70s had it made with dumb sitters like me.) -
Awww Mum! What a little sweetheart! Your first grandchild will have a special place in your heart always, but of course, all of them do.
Meece, I'm so thankful Matt has realized the relationship wouldn't be best for him. Prayers are answered.
And 3jays, always good to see you!
Eph, boy are you ever right! I charged 50 cents / hour to babysit too and that was a steal. Late '60s and early 70s. Did you adopt your daughter? We adopted our son 3 years after our daughter was born (he was 2 months old) and he's now the father of our precious 1st and 2nd grandsons.
Love and prayers to all,
Kathy -
Kathy, DD is China born, American through & through though! She's 19 & in no hurry to make me a grandma which is actually fine by me. It just seems weird in a way though because several of my friends are great grandmas!! -
Eph, My Mom was 70 when her only grandchild was born to my younger brother and his wife. Of course she was 40 when my brother was born.
-
I had it good in the latter 70s, I made $1/hr no matter how many kids. Sometimes a couple of families would get together and I would still get $1. I would bet that if some of the kids I watched were mine, I'd be a great grandma now. -
I'm of the 50 cent an hour group. One or two kids, same pay! Diapers or not, same pay. I was already married in '78 with babes of my own in '81 and '83. The first newborn I held was my own....
