Meece, hate to pry, but is it colon polyps or prostate issues? I can't imagine where else such a young man would have a lump! Our prayers are with you and Matt today, you are not alone, sweetie! -
Meece, You both are in my prayers as well. -
praying and waiting for news, Meece. Both for Matt, and for you. You are one of the things I'm grateful for this Thanksgiving..
3jays -
And i am grateful for you, S.
-
May the Lord shine his Glory and his Grace on each of you as you partake in whatever form your celebration (or lack thereof) takes. Remember our God is AWESOME! Thankful for you all. -
Amen

Meece, we trust the biopsy went well?? What is the wait time for pathology? You two are still in my prayers....
Happy Thanksgiving to my 'merican friends. We have ours in October so we don't have to do turkey dinners so close together! -
I pray that all of you, my friends, had a wonderful day today. Whether it was in celebration of Thanksgiving and all the gifts we have received or spent otherwise.
The whole tumor was removed as we were told that a bx can result in cancer cells getting loose in the system in this case. He is in a lot of pain but hopefully that will ease soon. At least I can relate to him in this, we have a common core of experience. -
Yup, we've survived, and I'm sure Gods' not done with him yet, either...
At least he has a mom who loves him, and understands what he's going through..
I didn't have that luxury, my mom was gone by my dx.. it'll be a comfort to you both, I'm sure..
Prayers in so. Fla for my dear adopted nephew and his mom..

3jays, I didn't have a Mom around (deceased) for my diagnosis and surgery, either. In my case I think it was for the best as it would have been all about HER and what SHE was going through and I would just become a HASSLE for her to "have" to travel across the country for me (if she even considered that!). My Mom never did "other people's traumas" very well.....
Meece, if they have Matt on pain meds, remember how fast they can bung up his bowels!! He won't want to be worrying about constipation as well as pathology. -
Meece, I'm glad everything was rushed and you now have Matt with you. May his recovery yield no surprises and go well and quickly. Hope all this will behind you soon! Prayers for you both.
Kathy -
I had a "mother" at diagnosis and she didn't care! For those who have caring family members it must be wonderful, but I can't even imagine it. -
Barbe, Matt is on Ducosate soldium.
My mother began introducing me as her "daughter with cancer, the one she takes to chemo", and I distanced myself from her and my treatment for months. I took myself to chemo and rads after that. I let her know I was more than cancer. She finally got the point, but I eliminated her abillity to gain attention by my circumstances. SO for the most part I went through BC without any human compassion. -
I just take that all of us that went thru it without family help, became stronger for it, and learned to find our strength in ourselves, and dependency on God made stronger.
HopeThanksgiving went well for everyone, despite any complications.. 3jays -
I went through everything without my mother, who had died when my first child was less than 1 year old. Also without my sister, who although she knew, was having her own battle at the time and had many complications. But, my DH and my children were great, and my sister's best friend was a stand-in for her, coming to the hospital for my surgery. At the time I was looking after my father and my aunt, both in their 90's and in nursing homes, and I never told either of them about it.
Meece, hope Matt's pain is less today. Prayers.
Kathy -
One of Matt's friends from the AF showed up at our door tonight. He was visiting north of us, and came to hang out. He hasn't been here long, but it is helping Matt's attititude. One of his nurses said that distraction will be a great pain killer. -

Prayers to Matt and to you Meece
I hope Matt is feeling better and the pain is lessened

Y'all are still in my prayers....when do you get results? I can imagine how fast your heart is beating; how sick your stomach is if you can even eat something; but I also know how strong your Faith is. -
The dr. said that usually they would get the result in 7-10 days but due to the holidays she thinks it could be up to 3 weeks. I am playing off the three weeks so that Matt isn't expecting a call and it doesn't come. I can already see that more frustration is building up in him.
Thank you all for your prayers. -
Hugs ♥ -
Hugs back to you, Sheila. -
Oh dear, that takes you into the new year as I'm sure the docs have shut-downs. Frustration, fear, denial, all those feelings to work through....this won't be a holiday to remember, that's for sure. So glad that you have God on your side to help you through this, sweetie. -
Yes, I do and that is what I must build this holiday on.
Praise: I went through an interview yesterday and I feel very good that I gave it my all. If it is to be His will, I will get the job. I am currently on a sub assignment. I subbed one day and they liked me so they called me back a week later. Yesterday the man I work with asked if I would like to work there until Christmas break, possibly until February. So, if I don't get the perm. job, at least I have something to do until the right job comes along. -
Meece that's good to know. To be called back sounds very promising! Let's know! -
Way to go!! Subbing is a great way to test a job! -
The job I interviewed for is one I subbed at last year for a couple weeks. That is how I know I really would love to do the job. The more I sub around the district, the more I learn how this job works with the others. I also found out that I am the only sub in the district for this particular position. There are at least 17 people in this position throughout the district, but only one at each location. -

Mary, did you know? -
