Arkiemama - I am blonde but I hate making airline reservations and usually try to put it off on my dh which doesn't work in my favor as he thinks flying at 6 am is normal - NOT!

We use Expedia.com for checking flights.  You can't check Southwest on Expedia.com but can go to their website directly.  However, SheChirple as already posted that it is more expensive to fly Southwest.

BUT....always factor in the cost of the suitcase!  That adds another $50 to your roundtrip flight cost whereas Southwest does not charge for the first 2 bags.

Hi everyone,  I am really thinking about going to Las Vegas with you gals.  It sounds like you have a complete blast.  I would need a roomate or roomates.  Keep the great info coming.  Hoping to be all done with surgery by then and will be looking forward to tattoos.  Thanks for all of the organization and time put in to make this happen.  Jamie

Jamie - I'm also thinking about going too! Not sure yet, know NO ONE- but sounds so much fun! If its anything like meeting (through cyberspace) the BCO ladies from different forums, it should be fantastic! Question would be how to convince DH that I might need this as much as I need next stage in my recon!?? LOL

Hi Catie...I am like you.  I don't know a single person.  It sounds like a lot of fun.  We should consider it.  I haven't mentioned it to DH yet either.  I did PM fredntan and I believe she is looking for a roomie or roomies.  What do you think?  Jamie

I have 7/11 stage 2b, 11/15 date reserved for 2c and my dad is in hospice - just don't know this year- but sure sounds like fun and even the roomies sounds doable!

Catie and Downey: this group grew as a group of total strangers.  It was very difficult for me to make the leap in last year. Who leaves their home to go join total strangers in Las Vegas, share a room! and even share a bed!! It's a true leap of faith.

It was wonderful. There were about 50 ladies.  I'm sure I did not get to meet them all.  I did have 3 roomies, each a little different form the next, but everyone a true lady.  We had adjoining rooms to the morning coffee.  There were several groups that just naturally paired up to activities they shared.  You will find a few that you really really click with, some maybe not so much. But, it is such a wide diverse group you are virtually guaranteed to have fun.

Good morning ladies. I am in New Orleans and attended a beautiful family wedding. Then last night went to Harrahs.......in training for our Las Vegas Trip. Hope everyone has a great Father's Day. I miss my dad everyday!

I went to Vegas in 2007 to meet up with 27 women from BCO chat. I had met only one in person before that! It is so true you just naturally gravitate toward women you have the most in common with. That trip was one of the best vacas I ever had, and a big reason why I'm sooo psyched to meet a whole new group of possible friends. That...and the fact that it's Vegas baby!!!

Gisella, you can remove my name from Gretchen and Melody's room. I will not be joining the TaTa's in Vegas....I know you will all have a blast....looks like there's several newbies joining you this year. That is great.  My thoughts will be with you....

    Love L

I went bareback horse riding on Sunday - getting ready for bull riding if it ends up on the schedule.  I have made arrangements with a friend to bareback ride every Sunday.  She has two quarter horses that are perfect for it.  Jazzy on the other hand - I would be taking my life in my hands if I did that with her. Surprised

I wanna ride the bull.  Haven't done it in years. But, I'll be 4 months post DIEP, so I'll have to see how I'm feeling.

SheChirple - we may have to do that in the middle of the day or the middle of the night.  Wonder if the bull will be awake at 3 am? Innocent

I'm pretty sure this is a mechanical bull that is in Gilley's at Treasure Island.

Welcome to everyone that is new this year!

Jancie - be careful on Jazzy!!  Don't need any broken bones in Vegas!

SheChirple - I think that your roommates wouldn't mind if there were 1 or 6 bottles in your room......... just saying.

Laura - Found the BEST EVER oatmeal cranberry white fudge drizzled Dunkers at Trader Joe's so will be bringing a couple buckets of those for coffee in the morning!!!  (Linda - they are only 130 calories each.)

Haven't checked in for some time and realized there were 5 pages of chatting going on.  Oh My!  I had better keep up now that we are getting close.  Gotta get out my suitcase although I have been traveling so much that it has become a permanent fixture on my Malibu Pilates chair......

    xoxo

Good morning ladies, please check the rooming list and let me know if you find any mistakes or if your name is not in the list.  As we get closer, some of the sisters may bring goodies and we will want to make name badges so it is important that we have you in the list.

I cannot wait to meet you all.  I am going to be in Vegas Starting Sunday (prior Sunday) for business.  I am going to be soooo glad when you guys get there

    Hugs to all

Bull riding sounds fun - but don't think my back will handle it.  I too would be a spectator taking pictures.  Would like to try riding a horse again though - need a quiet sleepy mule for the first try though not Jancie's Jazzy!!
